Any word on Maclin? I was walking the dog.

  2. 2 the guy said at 10:08 PM on October 30th, 2011:

This would be an excellent time for the Eagles to stop giving up in the 2nd half.

    48-0 please.

    Press coverage having an effect.

  4. 4 Anirudh Jangalapalli said at 10:10 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I’d really much rather have watched people putting the Rams in the playoffs as opposed to watching Eric Allen and one of the league’s greatest defensive coordinators be honored.

  5. 5 Corry Henry said at 10:22 PM on October 30th, 2011:

    Are the refs retarded?

  6. 6 Niklas Dyrby Johansen said at 10:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Possibly the worst call ever? So obvious..

  7. 7 Jon Blank said at 10:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

What the hell are the refs watching? That wasn’t even close. Clearly a forward pass.

  8. 8 Anonymous said at 10:24 PM on October 30th, 2011:

No idea. Terrible call. If we don’t win the challenge, we know some kind of conspiracy is afoot.

  9. 9 Anirudh Jangalapalli said at 10:24 PM on October 30th, 2011:

What was Al Michaels’ going on and on about the line of scrimmage? How is that even close to relevant in this situation?

  10. 10 Anonymous said at 10:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

That’s the worst call in the history of calls

  11. 11 Jon Blank said at 10:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Kind of annoying to have to blow your second challenge on such an atrocious call.

    Tommy

If the eagles lose this game I will blame it on your 2nd half thread.

  13. 13 the guy said at 10:24 PM on October 30th, 2011:

This is not the first time the Eagles have had to use a challenge for an obviously bad call. It’s becoming a theme.

  14. 14 Jon Blank said at 10:25 PM on October 30th, 2011:

How many times has Andy earned the 3rd challenge in his career?

  15. 15 Anonymous said at 10:26 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I like that the ref sounded surprised as he told we had two successful challenges

  16. 16 Corry Henry said at 10:28 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I think he was more surprised by his own stupidity. Worst. Call. Ever.

  17. 17 Jon Blank said at 10:26 PM on October 30th, 2011:

3rd and goal, its Owen Schmitt time.

  18. 18 Niklas Dyrby Johansen said at 10:27 PM on October 30th, 2011:

This second half crap is getting annoying. We just seem to let up a bit.

  19. 19 Anonymous said at 10:28 PM on October 30th, 2011:

4 unanswered TD’s and the cowboys can win this..

  20. 20 Anonymous said at 10:29 PM on October 30th, 2011:

It’s tough to complain about a game like this, but in the last two redzone trips, we have settled for FGs. That’s got to get better. We have a 27 point lead, so hopefully it doesn’t hurt us, but in a closer game, those kinds of things can often make a difference.

  21. 21 Jon Blank said at 10:31 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Yeah, I also had flashbacks of Henery missing the kick. At least the Eagles took a nice chunk of time off of the clock. Another hold and a 6 minute drive and the Eagles are in pretty good shape.

  22. 22 Corry Henry said at 10:32 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Yeah, I would have liked 7 there. May not have broken Dallas’ back, but it certainly would have taken a lot of confidence from them.

  23. 23 the guy said at 10:36 PM on October 30th, 2011:

At least it wasn’t a RZ turnover. I’d like a week without one of those, please.

  24. 24 Corry Henry said at 10:39 PM on October 30th, 2011:

This is true. 3 is better than a swing in momentum.

  25. 25 Anonymous said at 10:37 PM on October 30th, 2011:

What is considered an upper tier percentage for RZ Tds/FGs/Stops (e.g. 60/35/5?)

  26. 26 Anonymous said at 10:38 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I’m not sure 7 vs. 3 in this game (at least at the moment) makes a huge difference in terms of momentum or anything like that. Right now, any score the Eagles get will be tough for Dallas. On the other hand, we have consistently been our own worst enemy throughout the season. You could argue that all of our losses have been because we have shot ourselves in the foot rather than the other team being flat out better. In order to improve on that, things like redzone success are important.

  27. 27 Corry Henry said at 10:44 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I don’t think it does either, especially watching the body language of the defense right now. I think I’m looking for the same thing you are. I want to see a killer instinct in this team.

  28. 28 Corry Henry said at 10:51 PM on October 30th, 2011:

And on cue, there’s that killer instinct that I want.

  29. 29 Anonymous said at 10:55 PM on October 30th, 2011:

UGH!!!!! Exactly what you don’t like seeing.

  30. 30 Eric Weaver said at 10:35 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Nnamdi misses a sure tackle, but at least this team is hustling to the ball for a 2nd straight week.

  31. 31 marc said at 10:37 PM on October 30th, 2011:

If the Eagles win, Juan Castillo’s gotta be feeling good.

And Reid will be thinking “I told you so.”

But Howard Mudd . . . holly crap!

Loved hearing what McCoy told NBC . . . now the O-line’s finally getting to the second level.

  32. 32 Anonymous said at 10:47 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Don Banks wrote an article on SI.com about the “2011 All-Underachieving team” for the first half and put Philadelphia’s OLine as a “dishonorable mention.” When I read that, I was blown away. First off, going into the season, our Oline was considered to be a HUUUGE weakness for our offense and frankly, it has played fairly well all season. You can absolutely see that Howard Mudd’s system works well, even when you think the smaller players will not work out.

  33. 33 Niklas Dyrby Johansen said at 10:37 PM on October 30th, 2011:

  34. 34 Niklas Dyrby Johansen said at 10:38 PM on October 30th, 2011:

    Nice comeback by LeSean though..

  35. 35 Eric Weaver said at 10:38 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I never thought I’d say this, but Watkins has really been a key in stabilizing this line.

  36. 36 Anonymous said at 10:43 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Why do you think its him particularly?

  37. 37 Anonymous said at 10:46 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I’m not saying he’s all-pro yet, but people were really overreacting when he was benched, a rookie not starting the first 3 games of his career is not the end of the world or equaling a wasted pick, no matter the age of the guy

    Some trivia for you:

I cringe every time Mccoy has a good play now, he is going to kill Mudd with the season he’s having (or at least sign him up to have another hip replacement)

    Coulda, woulda, shoulda . . .

  62. 62 marc said at 10:56 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Coleman’s a back up. A good one. But he shouldn’t be starting.

Up 34 points . . . you never a receiver get behind you!!!

    MADDENING!!!

He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. DBs who get greedy get burned. Happens to good ones as well as bad ones.

  64. 64 Anonymous said at 10:56 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I’m almost relieved now that the shutout is off the board. Would have driven me nuts if we had them scoreless and gave up points with a minute or two left.

  65. 65 Anonymous said at 11:00 PM on October 30th, 2011:

That’s a fair silver lining, but I just hate seeing us give up big plays. The defense seems to be good for at least one big play given up per game. That’s one other thing we need to work on.

  66. 66 Anonymous said at 10:59 PM on October 30th, 2011:

    Ahem….

(To the tune of Sweet Caroline)

    Shaaaaaaa-dy Mc-Coy!

  67. 67 Jon Blank said at 11:04 PM on October 30th, 2011:

3rd and 1, trying to grind out the game and you call that play? With the game Mccoy is having. C’mon Marty.

  68. 68 Anonymous said at 11:04 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Can we please just finish strong for once?

  69. 69 Eric Weaver said at 11:04 PM on October 30th, 2011:

3rd and 1 play is the one black mark on tonight’s game plan.

By the way, they missed a block in the back on that punt return.

  70. 70 Anonymous said at 11:06 PM on October 30th, 2011:

That’s what I was thinking too – I’d like to see a replay

  71. 71 marc said at 11:05 PM on October 30th, 2011:

    3rd and 1 yard . . . up by 27 . . . 4th Q . . . the clock’s the enemy . . . and Marty has to outsmart everyone — even though the Cowboys can’t stop the Eagles on the ground.

What the hell is the guy thinking?!?!

    _____________

If Reid says “we’ll see” in reference to punter Henry, he’s gone.

  72. 72 the guy said at 11:05 PM on October 30th, 2011:

Not impressed with the refs tonight. That was one of the most obvious blocks in the back I’ve ever seen on a punt return.

  73. 73 Daniel Suraci said at 11:10 PM on October 30th, 2011:

is it just me or does this late defense look like the same nonsense we kept getting burned with before last week?

  74. 74 Anonymous said at 11:11 PM on October 30th, 2011:

    Yes, yes it does

  75. 75 Eric Weaver said at 11:30 PM on October 30th, 2011:

  77. 77 Anonymous said at 11:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

  78. 78 Corry Henry said at 11:23 PM on October 30th, 2011:

So this is what the Philadelphia Eagles look like when they don’t shoot themselves in the foot…

  79. 79 Anonymous said at 11:33 PM on October 30th, 2011:

I think it has to be said that Juan Castillo did a great job tonight, not to mention the 6 prior quarters to this game. I’m not sure if it is the adjustments to the wide 9, better play from the players, better play calling, or what, but the defense has absolutely changed from the defense we were watching earlier in the season and is playing very solid football. Maybe the Oline coach turned DC actually knows what he is doing.

  80. 80 Darren Symons said at 11:34 PM on October 30th, 2011:

can’t see the game, just following on NFL.com – they gave split credit for the tackle on the second last play to J. Chaney and R. Brown…

can someone fill me in – are we using RBs in at linebacker now?! or is it a NFL.com mistake?
