Update

Sorry for the lack of a post today.  Due to some crazy circumstances I just finished moving.  I was able to get posts up on other days, but today was a complete wash.

Just did a local move here in NC, but moving 1,000 or so video tapes and several years of Eagles Digest just ain’t easy.

I did kick around the idea of moving up to Philly, but didn’t have the time to pull off such a drastic change.  And the Eagles slammed the door on my idea of Cheerleader Wardrobe Assistant/Personal Hairstylist to Bo Wulf.  Those are probably the two areas where the Eagles organization is strongest so I guess I can’t blame them for saying no.  Still, a boy can dream, right?

I’ll have normal posts back up on Thursday.  Time now for some PBRs and rest.

I’ll do my best to get to all the unanswered questions from the last few days.

    Oh good. You’re not dead.

Yeah, normally I wouldn’t panic, but the schedule thing seemed like a day when people just wanted to comment on whatever you would have said.

Still plenty of time to kill before the draft, one dormant day won’t kill us. Thanks for your free public service.

And don’t let it happen again!

Have you ever watched trainspotting? I’m picturing your room to look like that guy who had all of those vhs tapes lined up against his wall.

If I could, i would live in Philly too. But i´m now more than 7000km from there. Maybe one day I have a chance to at least make a visit and see an Eagles game not on TV or Computer. It´s like a dream and some day i will do it! =)

    Live your dream !!!
I live in Paris , France and I’ve been twice in Philly to see a game at the Linc !!!

You’re apologizing that moving prevented you from posting for one day on your free site?

Eagles fans are fairly volatile and entitled, but we’re not *that* bad.

at least the ones of us that read tommy’s site aren’t *that* bad.
when was the last time you were on the EMB? that place is awful.

No offense to anyone on the Eagles payroll, but igglesblitz is the only place I go to for eagles info. You deserve a paying gig for this Tommy. Maybe go the way of Facebook and google and get some advertisers to sponsor your site.

You gotta live where you can be happy (and make money), but aside from the Eagles and absolute best Cheesesteaks, can’t say I miss the Philly weather and big city traffic. Week 3 I’ll be at the game in Phx with my Dad. Yes, it’s hot as hell here sometimes, but you’ll never have to scrape ice from your windshield or shovel snow. Plus the babes show off their figures all year round 😉

  9. 9 Kmac318 said at 11:57 PM on April 18th, 2012:

Agreed. I haven’t come across a better and more consistent blogger than Tommy. You definitely deserve money (or at least an unlimited supply of PBRs) for all of your hard work. At least you’re doing what you love though!

    Tommy:

Maybe you could get a local news channel to film you doing situps in your driveway until your site was picked up by a major corporate sponsor?

Igglesblitz by Pabst Blue Ribbon….I kind of like the sound of that

Dude, stay in NC. If I recall correctly, you live in/near Chapel Hill. I’m down there about once or twice a month and love the Triangle, especially Chapel Hill. For starters, UNC girls are hot. Second, BBQ is way better in the south. Girls and BBQ are pretty much all I care about.

+1 Never moving back north… I miss it but not that much.

Tommy you can always get PBR handouts from the locals (me) if you swing to my neck of the woods (just down the road from you).

However you have to find your own pudding as that would just be weird…

Hope you didn’t tear the Megan Fox poster in the move!

Ugh. I hate moving. My sympathies, sir.

Maybe get urself a value meal for under 5 bucks, no sense doing the cooking with all those mess around /jk

You should consider converting all your tapes to Betamax to save yourself some room. Also, I can let you borrow Wrestlemania III (Beta is really the best way to watch it).

  16. 16 ChaosOnion said at 9:25 AM on April 19th, 2012:

You really should consider digitizing your tape collection.
    * Tapes degrade over time
    * Digital is portable
    * Digital is easily backed up
    * You can get some telestrator software, a pair of “beats by Dre” and pretend to be John Madden

You could fit ~2000 hours of game footage at non-HD quality on one of these:

Your original material (tapes) will last longer since you no longer have to run them through a machine.

Tommy, I’ve gotta admit I was surprised by the lack of post yesterday. But dang man, the fact that you were so relentless in posting throughout the move… that is dedication Holmes.

Frankly, I’m glad you didn’t end up on the official Eagles payroll. I would much rather hear that a wealthy patron of the Eagles has decided to bankroll you for $50k/yr with a nice benefits and retirement package, and a 36-24-36 secretary.

In the immortal words of Joe Dirt… “Keep on Keepin’ on”

  18. 18 Alex Karklins said at 9:38 AM on April 19th, 2012:

Oh. I should contact my internet service provider and cancel my request to fix the Lawlor outage. No wonder they were confused . . .

I can’t imagine writing consistently thoughtful posts (and answering comments!) every day during the off-season, especially for no pay. If you are ever in Denver, I owe you a beer or five.

    Anyone see this mock? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1okzwab-aA8heCpEeXtiC5RdVnTnsHICYbJOrBubw9SY/edit?pli=1

Cox, Lavonte David and Boykin. That’d be a dream come true.

  20. 20 Anthony Hart said at 11:05 AM on April 19th, 2012:

David’s a WILL linebacker, I don’t know why people keep mocking him to us. Too small to play SAM for us.

  21. 21 JRO91 said at 11:36 AM on April 19th, 2012:

I agree but he is good in space. That is why. I think I’d rather have Cox/Wager/Boykin. Bobby Wagner could also slide in the middle in a pinch. If Cox/Luke are gone, trade back for Fleener and get maybe an extra 2nd or 3rd. Then you could go Curry or BPA/Boykin/Wagner.

  22. 22 TheRogerPodacter said at 10:45 AM on April 19th, 2012:

i’d like to point out that tommy’s post about how he can’t post is still drawing some good discussion from the masses. we got some good people here.

  23. 23 Mac said at 11:31 AM on April 19th, 2012:

I agree, my daily internet routine is: Check email, poke around ebay/craigslist, check out Igglesblitz, done. No need to go anywhere else unless I’m bored.

  24. 24 JRO91 said at 10:47 AM on April 19th, 2012:

Flyers, why did you have to give the Pens hope?!? Now all I am hearing at work is how they will pull off 3 more now and take the series….This city was dead as of 7pm yesterday…now everyone is back in full spirits. Please dont toy with the Penguins anymore and put them away, and Bryzgolov, please learn how to stop an effin shot!!

  25. 25 ICDogg said at 11:22 AM on April 19th, 2012:

yeah, time to shut them up.
