This is a pre-programmed post since I’m out watching the game tonight.  Let’s hope for good things in the 2nd half.

    Call me a homer.

I would pull for this Foles-Brown team all year. Love the Brasher DL.

Where was this offense years ago?

    • http://www.facebook.com/xbcsmith Brett Smith

Foles has hit dudes in the head, bread basket, hands all game. I am starting to think the kid is something.

  • http://www.facebook.com/xbcsmith Brett Smith

Now I know how Dallas fans feel.

Romo plays like crap until there is no reason to try …

This team makes me feel like that. Why tease us? The next coach is going to blow this up.

I am sold. Give me Graham, Foles, Brown, Cooper next year and some hope to boot.

    • Iskar36

I have to say, Brown has been disappointing the last game and a half. He had 2 unbelievable games, but seems to be trying to bounce to many plays outside recently. The play calling certainly doesn’t help though.

      • shah8

no holes–he’s not missing any holes, there aren’t any today.

  • http://twitter.com/theguyotc the guy

Tommy’s not here? So I can *finally* say what I’ve always thought about him!

    I got nothing.

  • The_Reddgie

Pre-Programmed? Did you just Big League us? I feel like we are getting Big Leagued right now.

  • http://twitter.com/corry_k Corry Henry

    I really hate NFLN’s pregame/postgame crew.

  • SteveH

Hated those goal line plays near the end of the half. The strike to Harbor was legit, but the next 2 plays kinda stunk. I’d love to see us not do the whole cut the field in half thing, even if it did work last week.

No Washburn, no wide nine, no problem!

My boy Brandon Graham is getting his shot and delivering. I’ve been pulling for him ever since everyone started piling on about him being a “bust” after his knee injury.

  • eagles2zc

Hope Tommy got good seats. Look like they moved people to fill up the lower sections

  • BobSmith77

Most impressed that Foles didn’t make a mistake and really force something in the 1st quarter after the Eagles were down 10-0. His composure too despite mediocre pass protection again.

  • BobSmith77

Welcome back Cole. I have missed you this season (my favorite player on this team).

    • http://www.facebook.com/ollivier.boguais Ollivier Boguais

Totally different player without the wide nine…

  • http://www.facebook.com/ollivier.boguais Ollivier Boguais

Good beginning. So happy to see this defense playing like this. We will have an interception tonight :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/brandon.gleklen Brandon Gleklen

This game makes me think we need to keep the 4-3. Our personnel just suites it too well. It’s going to be a slow and painful transition if we try to change.

    • 47_Ronin

The Eagles have a good foundation for a 4-3 there’s no reason to change.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    thats bush league, dunlap.
    smh

    • BobSmith77

Out of football next year I bet.

  • TheRogerPodacter

random question… why couldn’t both of those penalties be taken? the unnecessary roughness was clearly after the play. i dunno…

  • ceteris_paribus1776

    Wow. D actually making plays

  • BobSmith77

Nice to see the Eagles haven’t completely abandoned the run here as MM is prone to do if the running game went nowhere in the 1st half.

  • BobSmith77

Hamstring on Havili and he’s out for the rest of the game. Maclin is nursing his ankle and has a pulled hamstring injury.

    Running of healthy skill players.

  • 47_Ronin

I almost felt like the Eagles were going to go up 20-10

  • DamonL86

Why do the handoffs look so awkward?

  • ceteris_paribus1776

I remember Burfict being quite the divisive player during the draft. Cincy may have found the guy no one wanted.

    • BobSmith77

Yeah. He was a guy I really wanted the Eagles to take a flyer on in a late round (5th-6th).

      • TheRogerPodacter

i’m not sure he was a good fit for the defense we had on paper this offseason. i think we were looking for more instinctive LBs which was his biggest knock.
who knows how he would have fit for this D or for our D in the future now, though.

        • http://twitter.com/corry_k Corry Henry

I’m not sure he was a good fit for the coordinator. Mike Zimmer is a good coach and has been able to turn it around for more than a couple troubled guys on his D. I”m not sure Castillo/Bowles would have been able to turn him into a player.

        • BobSmith77

He probably wasn’t but for a guy so talented he was worth a late round pick. I was really surprised some team didn’t take him with a 7th round pick

          • TheRogerPodacter

definitely. i mean… we took bryce brown in the 7th right? i would have been ok with any random LB in the 6th or 7th so if they picked burfict there thats all good. lol

  • shah8

As you enjoy that pair of sacks, also enjoy the lack of wierd miscommunictions in the secondary

  • DamonL86

Where was this pressure all year?

    • P_P_K

      Wasted in the Wide 9.

  • TheRogerPodacter

soon cox will have more sacks than babin!

    • TheRogerPodacter

wow if that one counds for a half sack, he should be tied at 5.5, i think.

  • shah8

    grrrrrrrrrrr

  • http://twitter.com/corry_k Corry Henry

Holy crap Foles is awful at long throws.

  • Iskar36

That’s a baaad throw by Foles.

    • BobSmith77

Yup. It just hung up there and just about any CB or s could have made a play on that ball.

      • DamonL86

        except for ours

        • Iskar36

          Hahaha.

  • DamonL86

    So much for that

  • ceteris_paribus1776

man he needs to work on his deep throws

  • shah8

And of course, the bungals don’t do the sensible thing and *run* the ball! Lucky for us.

  • Iskar36

Graham is looking great tonight. Love seeing that.

  • BobSmith77

Graham is easily having the best passing rushing game by an Eagles DL this year.

  • John Ormond

What was Maclin doing running out of bounds????

  • Eagles1991

Is colt anderson playing well or what.

  • 47_Ronin

I would pin some blame on that pick on Maclin. He needed to play DB. On that pass

    • Iskar36

Ball was thrown waaaay to far behind him for him to make a play. That pick is entirely on Foles.

      • 47_Ronin

He didn’t turn around though. But yeah Foles has some serious issues on deep balls

  • TheRogerPodacter

wow trent cole is having a monster game. he didnt get the tackle on that play, but he absolutely made it happen setting the edge.

man i’m so happy to see this version of trent cole back!

  • 47_Ronin

Dline has 6 sacks tonight. Wide 9 was a bunch a crap

  • BobSmith77

Green just making a play there.

  • BobSmith77

Eagles to need them to a FG here.

    • bdbd20

You must be thinking of another team.

  • TheRogerPodacter

dalton making foles look slow. hahaha

  • TheRogerPodacter

oh c’mon kendricks. wtf was that tackle attempt??

    • BobSmith77

Behold the power of the scrambling ginger!

    • bdbd20

When you’re that slow, it’s gotta mess with their heads.

  • DamonL86

Kendricks juked by Dalton that is sad

    • ceteris_paribus1776

I keep coming back to the same thought every week about him; doesn’t look like a difference making LB. Could be solid eventually, but not irreplaceable.

  • DamonL86

Hey there is something we haven’t seen before

  • http://twitter.com/corry_k Corry Henry

So that’s what it looks like when the wheels come off.

  • bdbd20

Down by 11? LIttle Nicky has them just where he wants them!

  • TheRogerPodacter

not sure i can really blame B Brown on that one. the defender got there at like the same time of the handoff

    • Neil

He’s had two fumbles where he got distracted by penetration. I’m not aware of another back with this problem.

    • BobSmith77

It looked an o-line screwup. Tough watching this group. Even McCoy would really struggle behind this line.

      • shah8

McCoy WAS really struggling behind that line.

    • TheRogerPodacter

looking at the slomo replay, i think the blame is back on Brown.

  • BobSmith77

That’s game. I don’t see this team coming back down 2 scores going into the 4th quarter.

    • A_T_G

You were here last week, right?

      • BobSmith77

Yeah I don’t see them doing it 2 weeks in a row.

        • A_T_G

          Okay, maybe not this week.

  • TheRogerPodacter

have all of the bengals points been off of turnovers? sheesh

    • BobSmith77

Yup. Off the turnovers and the blocked punt.

  • SteveH

    I’m not even mad. Lol.

  • BobSmith77

Great. Harbor has back spasms and there isn’t another TE on the roster.

  • xeynon

I don’t know why the Bungles are so excited. They stink. I doubt they’ll make the playoffs, and if they do, they’ll be first round roadkill.

    • shah8

      Just like last year.

  • DamonL86

Ha ha maybe we can hire Tiki Barber to teach our players how to hold onto the ball

    • BobSmith77

Harbor is hurt. He’s only out there because the Eagles literally don’t have another TE who can come in.

  • BobSmith77

Boos rain down to end the 3rd qtr.

  • noah heulitt

This is what happens when your entire offense is second stringers, at best

  • JJ_Cake

Yo, we WANT the team to loose. Yes, lets see some good play to back up hope for Foles and some of the other guys, but lets tank it brotha’s, give us a better shot at some high draft picks to help this team for next year. If we win a game we go from pick 4 to pick 9 (or something like that)

  • BobSmith77

Amount of injuries they have had on offense is starting to get ridiculous. They don’t have a healthy TE right now and Maclin is the only starter in right now (he’s even been in and out tonight due to ankle/hamstring issues).

    • TheRogerPodacter

i thought mathis was playing today? is he out?

      • BobSmith77

He’s been in and out tonight too in the 2nd half.

  • xeynon

Go Lions, Raiders, Panthers, Titans, Cardinals!

  • http://www.facebook.com/ollivier.boguais Ollivier Boguais

Our offense is protecting our draft pick :)

  • BobSmith77

Defense is still playing hard though. Nice play by DRC.

    • xeynon

Not really. He was beaten on the double move and a better or more decisive throw is a TD there. He was also lucky he wasn’t flagged for PI since he never turned around.

    • A_T_G

You gotta give them credit, there were ample opportunities to quit, but they haven’t.

  • xeynon

If Asomugha is the worst FA acquisition of the Reid era, DRC has to be one of my least favorite players of it. All the talent in the world, but no heart and no brains, and he’s celebrating a play he was lucky was an incompletion and not a TD or penalty. I can’t wait until he’s gone.

  • http://twitter.com/corry_k Corry Henry

This is a comedy of errors.

  • TheRogerPodacter

LOL. this game is starting to get ridiculous

  • BobSmith77

“This is just a mess. A huge mess.”

    Apt description by Merrill.

  • eagles2zc

I’m afraid Tommy might bum rush the field any second now

  • xeynon

I don’t think you can win a SB with Andy Dalton. Noodle arm, and he’s afraid to make the throws you need to make to beat a good team. You’ve got A.J. Green on your team, throw the fricking ball down the field to him and let him make a play.

    • shah8

He does, he does! Green bails him out

      • shah8

        And you see it!

  • DamonL86

    Wow what penalty is that

    • TheRogerPodacter

lol thats a new one. something about the defender using “disconcerting defensive signals” or some shit. haha

      • eagles2zc

I had to google that. What the hack

        • TheRogerPodacter

so you actually found what penalty it was? can you send a link? i have no effing clue what happened lol

          • Neil

a defender tried to mimic the snapcount to get the center to snap at the wrong time

          • TheRogerPodacter

oh. i thought that penalty was just called ‘mimicking the snap count” not….. whatever the hell that ref said lol

          • eagles2zc

            “disconcerting signals penalty”

  • TheRogerPodacter

…..aaaaand theres the fade to aj green

  • lilmc

Well we are heading for another loss.Who’s getting fired tonight? Bobby April?

    • xeynon

He should be. This was perhaps the worst special teams performance by an Eagles team I can remember.

    • BobSmith77

As good as anyone to vote off ‘Eagles Island’ after the Eagles are embarrassed again on national TV.

    • TheRogerPodacter

crappy return plus a holding penalty. wow. way to go STs

  • ceteris_paribus1776

wouldn’t it be nice if the eagles had a guy you could count on in the red zone every week…

    • P_P_K

      We do — Henery.

  • TheRogerPodacter

so aj green is the only WR with a catch? i’ve only seen DRC matched up with him. does that mean that Nnamdi has been shutting down his side of the field???

  • BobSmith77

never think the eagles were up 13-10 at the half.

  • xeynon

Remember when Andy Reid teams were disciplined, smart, and didn’t beat themselves?

What happened to his ability to coach his players to not be idiots?

  • DarthBanner

God this team sucks. Tell me again how Bobby April got the reputation as a good special teams coach? Can we fire him this week?

    • BobSmith77

This season has killed/seriously impaired the reps of several members of the coaching staff including Washburn, Bowles, and Aprile.

  • BobSmith77

Cue up ‘Send In the Clowns’ this was as brutal of a half as Eagles’ football as we have seen all year which is saying something.

  • SteveH

Well, the draft pick is safe lol.

  • Neil

has foles connected on a fly once?

  • noah heulitt

This game just reeks of inexperienced players being poorly coached. Bad combination.

  • DamonL86

On the positive side we do look like a 4 and 9 team.

    • jshort

      4 and 10

  • BobSmith77

Merrill just said the stadium is almost completely empty. Can’t blame anyone who left early too. I would have left by this point with the temp. and having to work tomorrow.

  • xeynon

Mayock’s right. The Bengals are a mediocre team at best. Being bailed out by your opponent’s ineptitude is not “making big plays”.

  • BobSmith77

Dalton is 10-23 with 92 yards and 1 TD yet the Bengals have put up 34 pts.

  • jshort

This is sad. I’m not even screaming at the TV. Guess I have no emotion left. I’m actually lmao. For those rooting for the high draft pick it’s looking good for another week at least.

  • jshort

Why are those people still sitting in the stands?

  • http://www.facebook.com/brian.borkowski.71 Brian Borkowski

I didn’t even care that much about a win. I wanted to see Foles get some snaps against a tough defense. How many plays have the Eagles actually run in the second half. Good Lord what a horrible showing.

2 steps forward, 3 steps back.

  • BobSmith77

Boos are so loud with that TO even from the remaining handful of fans you could hear it on the radio broadcast.

  • xeynon

Why does everyone insist that people are going to be lining up to hire Andy Reid when he’s fired at the end of the season? Obviously he’s a smart coach, but it’s pretty clear that something’s off. This team is awful, and it’s all his doing. He looks burned out and I think he probably needs to be away from the game for awhile – I wouldn’t hire him.

    • jshort

He’s not the one turning the ball over! Still he has to go

    • Gary Root

I agree with you. But I still think that other people, probably people who don’t regularly watch Eagles games, think he’s a good coach. The consensus among non-Eagles fans/analysts seems to be that Andy just needs a change of scenery. I’m with you though. I certainly wouldn’t hire him.

    • BobSmith77

Agreed 100%. He is a guy that screams that he needs a year or two off.

  • xeynon

Wow the Bengals are classy. Trying to run up the score on 4th down, then taking cheap blindside shots at coverage guys on a meaningless punt return at the end of the game? Sheesh.

  • BobSmith77

Momentum from the Tampa Bay game . . . and IT’s gone. Players sound universally dejected and rambling generic BS.

  • BobSmith77

Another game on national TV where there was very few people left early in the 4th quarter, mental mistakes galore, and the few fans who were left booing quite loudly.

Better chance the worlds ends on Dec 21st than Andy coming back next year at this point.
