Mike Vick is active…but will likely be the #3 QB. Odd decision by the coaches.

The shocker there is James Casey. We thought he’d be a key offensive player, but now he’s inactive. I do think the matchup hurts him. Tampa has good LBs. You don’t want them going against a bunch of TEs. You’d rather go with 3 WRs and get extra DBs on the field. Still, this isn’t a good sign for Casey. We’ll talk about that this week.

Huge news for Tampa. WR Mike Williams is inactive. He led the team with 2 TDs. LG Carl Nicks is also out.

    Im calling this a big test. This is the best defense they have seen so far this season. They are also incredibly one dimensional on offense: Run over and over to set up PA to V.J. They have not had success, but they have a philosophy. Can this defense stop the plan of their opponent that is clear as day?

    I expect a close game all the way. I am feeling victory, but am much more nervous than it seems most are.

    This is not a surprise. All of the passes in the first drive were schemed open, and not normal scan and throw stuff. Once the schemes play out, Foles has to be a starting level QB, and he’s not there. And now the run game is becoming fraught with the Tampa DL not being afraid of the pass (or the QB scramble).
