MIN 17, PHI 9 – 2nd Half

Posted: December 15th, 2013 | Author: | Filed under: Philadelphia Eagles | 893 Comments »

For the 2nd week in a row, an NFC North team has an 8-point halftime lead on the Eagles. Last week they outscored the Lions 34-12 in the 2nd half. I think I could deal with another explosion like that this week.

The Vikings offense hasn’t been stopped. Missed FG, TD, FG, TD. The Eagles defense must stop them on 3rd down. The Eagles are moving the ball. They just aren’t getting enough possessions.

Eagles get the ball back to start the 2nd half. Really important to go get some points, preferably a TD.

  • Corry

This has been a frustrating game.

  • ACViking

An aside . . . Kaepernick moving left threw 65 yards on a line to Vernon Davis for a TD.

    Impressive.

    • Baloophi

      Literally an aside.

      • ACViking

        I said it was!

Just damned impressive. Better than anything I saw the first 30 minutes.

        • Baloophi

I was trying to make a funny… as in, he threw it from his aside.

  • Mike Flick

I think Foles has been reading this blog, and wanted to do a 4th quarter comeback so that Tommy will like him.

    • Mike Flick

Not that it is all Tommy’s fault. But just mostly

  • OregonDucker

Time to see if the Eagles are ready for the Playoffs or just a pretender.

    • Crus57

Either way, not bad for Chip’s first season with a 4-12 team.

    • ACViking

      That’s a BINGO.

  • ACViking

    Penalties have hurt the Eagles.

    1 self-inflicted.

    1 a seeming phantom.

Could be 17-13. Should be 13-13.

    ___________

On that double reverse, someone has to have told Foles “Do Not Block Low”. If not, that’s a coaching failure. Just my opinion.

  • Dragon_Eagle

Have to give Cassel some credit here. He’s moved well, made some plays, took some hits, and kept them moving the chains.

That said, some professional level safety play from the Eagles would be nice.

    • Mike Flick

His completion percentage went down a lot after the Logan hit.

      • A_T_G

        … from 100%

    • Insomniac

Gotta save Trash Can Jr for the playoffs though.

  • BobSmith77

Does Cassel throw for ~400 yards today and Vikings put 500+ yards on this defense?

Hell, if I am the Vikings I max protect if necessary and continue abusing these safeties over the top. See if Davis and the scrubs at safety for the Eagles can stop me. Keep them honest with a couple of bubble/WR screens and plays out of the backfield.

  • Crus57

We kicked one FG in the first quarter, 2 FGs in the second. It’s pretty obvious we will kick 3 in the 3rd and 4 in the 4th.

  • ACViking

Need to see more twists up front from the D-line.

Someone’s gotta get loose and layout Cassel w/ ball in hand.

    • Baloophi

      He’s slippery.

    • RobNE

You didn’t like give cassel time and play soft zone?

  • BobSmith77

Love to see what this offense could do with a real threat out of the slot. It is painful to watch Avant who has nothing left from a speed perspective.

  • Baloophi

    Beware the onside…

    • Baloophi

      Also, beware the touchback….

    • Always Hopeful

      Lord no please!

  • Dragon_Eagle

Here we go. Bomb to DJax, 2 point conversion and we’re good to go.

  • ACViking

Why even put anyone back on the kickoff

  • Baloophi

Looks to me like the middle of the field is there for the taking…

  • GEAGLE

    Party bout to begin!!!
    ..
    Edit.. Ok…

  • ToastJenkins

come on Nick you gotta get rid of that

  • Baloophi

That was a much slower version of a Vick play…

  • Iskar36

Gotta throw that one away at that point.

  • scratcherk

wow held on way too long…

  • Insomniac

Just throw the damn ball away

  • Andy124

    Bad decision.

    • Andy124

      Follow by a bad throw.

      • BlindChow

He’s certainly making it rain in my household.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    ugh

  • ToastJenkins

looks more like the AR offense at this point…

    • BlindChow

Chip saw something in the secondary he thought he could exploit.

      • ACViking

Foles didn’t see the same thing.

      • GEAGLE

Imagine how we can exploit the after we pound shady 3 times and dial up play action.

      • anon

the fact that they have no one back there

  • Corry

    This is not looking good.

  • TheRogerPodacter

argh. hate giving up field position like this!

  • GEAGLE

See I don’t like that…force feed shady time, play action. Boom, we party!!!

    Let’s go D!!!

  • Baloophi

Foles and Avant seem to have no chemistry. Didn’t they last year?

    • Andy124

I don’t recall. I know he had great chemistry with Maclin.

    • ACViking

JA was his security blanket last year.

      But that was Reid’s offense.

    • anon

foles to avant riley to vick?

    • Pennguino

Yea, last five games Avant was picking up the yards. NO TD’s but was the go to guy last year.

    • ACViking

Avant had 53 receptions last year.

Won’t get close to that this year

  • RobNE

    Foles killed us

  • Griffins22

    Now I’m worried.

  • anon

wow, imagine if vick was performing like this — hate to see what that’d look like.

    • A_T_G

      …again.

    • Andy124

If Vick was completing 63% of his passes with almost 200 yards total offense and no turnovers early in the 3rd? I think his knob would be getting slobbed.

  • Baloophi

    Did we dress any RB’s?

    • anon

vikings have the worst secondary in the league but a good d line…

      • Baloophi

        Secondary looks pretty good today…

        • anon

people are open, but good pass rush but inaccurate throwing. Maybe we need to just try to run the ball to bail him out.

          • Baloophi

Looks to me like Foles is sitting back there for at least four seconds, which is plenty of time. So either they’re not open, or he’s indecisive. Or both.

          • ICDogg

            Very indecisive today.

    • A_T_G

Airfare is expensive around the holidays.

  • Pennguino

    Nick is off today.

  • shah8

That sack? The Vikings guessed right where Foles wanted to throw the ball. Foles just held it instead of making a play, or finding DJax on the sidelines, who looked open on the replay if I see it right.

  • GermanEagle

Would you put Vick in there?

    • Insomniac

No. Unless we’re this stale as an offense till the 4th quater

    • TheRogerPodacter

to play safety? sure, why not.

    • Andy124

Another reason why he should not be back as a backup next year.

  • ICDogg

A good start would be forcing a punt

  • Baloophi

    Welp.

  • scratcherk

    goodness…

  • ToastJenkins

    we are snakebit today…

  • TheRogerPodacter

    wow…. what in hte fuck….

  • Corry

    Which team is 3-9-1?

  • RobNE

We are not making the playoffs

  • GermanEagle

this is the game where Foles can show us if he has FRANCHISE in him…!

    • scratcherk

      i blame tommy.

  • Insomniac

So…about those secondary signings this offseason..

  • Baloophi

You never expect reversion to the mean to happen this quickly…

    • anon

Lots of game left, but if D can’t stop the Vikings w/out AP we’ll never get back into the game…

  • anon

WOW — crazy catch. I started philly d this week too…

    • Insomniac

I feel sorry for you and want to know what you’ve drank/sniff/smoked to even start them.

  • scratcherk

out of the reid playbook there.

  • truthchief

The Real Eagles Secondary on Display today. Vikings are teaching the Bears and Cowboys how to beat the Eagles…

  • ACViking

The good part of this Vikings drive is the Eagles let them get to the RZ in 30 seconds.

    • Mike Flick

They did want to get off the field.

  • GermanEagle

    go packers!

  • scratcherk

    well there goes that streak.

  • TheRogerPodacter

wow. that play reminds me of so many nightmares from 2012….

  • xeynon

This is infuriating. We’d better be scouting up every blue chip pass rusher and defensive back in the draft next year.

    • GEAGLE

      Disgusting…

    • anon

I guess we’ve been beating bad teams. To be fair Vikings have been really close in most games and had the refs rip a game from them last week. you know they are pumped up — we probably aren’t matching that intensity.

  • Insomniac

Matt Cassel looking like Rodgers today.

  • DarthBanner

    what a disgrace.

  • RobNE

That td is on Foles taking that sack

    • Insomniac

Should have just chucked the ball away.

    • xeynon

Really? You don’t think the defense’s inability to stop Matt Cassel, Matt Asiata, and Jarius Wright has more to do with it?

      • RobNE

Yes but it was such an awful decision and would have been 3rd and 4

  • DamonL86

21 point and under streak over.

  • ACViking

Eagles were open to the draw earlier in the game on the PI drive.

  • Bob Brewer

There goes that 21 points allowed streak.

    • GEAGLE

      Disgusting

    • OregonDucker

Very poor D play. They should be ashamed.

  • jshort

looks like we fell in the trap

  • Corry

SO much for the “one game at a time” approach. The coaches may not have over looked the Vikings, but the Players sure as hell did.

    • TheRogerPodacter

hopefully now the players will understand why the coaches preach what they preach.

      • shah8

I don’t think it’s the player’s fault. Vikings are straightup beating the scheme.

        • shah8

If there is any fault, it’s on the offense…a little.

          • Crus57

The Vikings haven’t punted yet, I’d say that’s on the D.

      • anon

if they didn’t understand after the first half. This game is on the DBs though…we’re the worst passing D (yds allowed) for a reason.

  • A_T_G

Cassel looks a little like Foles.

    • GermanEagle

      but he runs a 4,4.

  • Baloophi

To be fair, you can’t expect to stop Cassel, Asiata and Jennings.

  • ACViking

    RZ defense terrible.

Defense between the 20s — terrible.

    Offense. Terrible.

    Henery excellent.

    • OregonDucker

This is a karma whammy. Too much SB talk!

  • lilmc

    Great game plan on D

  • GermanEagle

    That. Is. A. joke.

  • TommyLawlor

    Just shocked at this.

    • GEAGLE

This can’t happen again, it just can’t…..I don’t think I can handle or process it

  • GEAGLE

Seems like we got greedy and we are just trying to swing for the fences…let’s throw a few jabs and get in a Rythem

    • Pennguino

I hear ya. Need to get some rhythm going to build some confidence. Need a few more runs.

  • ACViking

That first possession of the 2nd half was embarrassing.

Only more embarrassing was the opening Eagles possession of the 1st half.

  • Baloophi

    “Maul of America” game

  • ToastJenkins

    only 2 scores…lotsa time left

  • TheRogerPodacter

i like cooper running over the defender at the end of the run. i like the attitude.

  • ToastJenkins

what happened to the run game, Chip?

    • GEAGLE

3rd and 3, run it twice in a row

    • TheRogerPodacter

is that really his 5th carry?! wtf

  • ACViking

Is the Fox replay machine broken?

    • Baloophi

If you’re referring to Mike Pereira, yes.

  • Andy124

    Hey a running play. Neato.

  • Insomniac

So we have Colt Anderson out there playing..?

    • Corry

Chung is back in from what I saw.

  • Andy124

Right in stride for the RAC.

  • TheRogerPodacter

a lot of shallow crossing routes in this game

  • ajbduck

    Not worried… we got this!

  • Dragon_Eagle

    Bad decision.

  • Insomniac

    Of course…

  • TheRogerPodacter

ugh…. that drive was looking good until that

  • Baloophi

    Wow. Completely abandoned running.

    • ACViking

Andy Reid is in the house

  • Andy124

    well poop.

  • shah8

    You.Cannot.Keep.Fucking.Underthrowing.The.Fucking.Ball.

    • ICDogg

      especially in a dome

    • RobNE

      I agree.

    • anon

Just trying to loft it up there and shit..

    • scratcherk

      YCKFUTFB

    • TheRogerPodacter

i think he also took a little too long to decide to throw it there. too many people in the area.

      • shah8

The underthrow was due to too much loft.

  • Baloophi

Hopefully we can keep this next Vikings’ touchdown drive under 2 minutes…

  • Bob Brewer

    SI Jinx

  • BlindChow

This does feel like a playoff game. Lose this one and the season seems over.

  • Nick Folesly

Jackson has to fight for that ball.

  • GermanEagle

    put Vick in there

    • ToastJenkins

      thats just stupid

      • GermanEagle

Yes. Stupid to keep playing a QB who’s not in sync with his offense.

    • GermanEagle

Ok. Let’s play Foles to the end to learn a lesson. What difference does it make?!!

    • anon

hahaha, i made same comment — nature of the beast in phlly

    • GEAGLE

      Smh

  • anon

3 vikings cbs out and we can’t pass the ball. Get #7 suited up before we take this L

  • xeynon

Bad decision by Foles there. Should keep the chains moving, not be trying to score on low percentage deep throws.

  • ToastJenkins

waited too long and telegraphed it Nick…stop pressing. its like the dallas game again. he seems to be overthinking it

  • Nick Folesly

Watch it again, that one is on Desean

  • ACViking

Let’s take a step back from “Chip Kelly is the Best NFL Coach” . . . at least until the Eagles get a TD today.

  • Corry

Players were totally unprepared today. This is just sad.

  • Baloophi

I believe there’s an ESPN E:60 airing in three minutes called “When The Eagles Used to Run The Ball.”

  • Flyin

Getting beat by a dome team in a dome… F’ing pathetic!

  • Nick Folesly

That ball was there for whoever wanted it more. And Desean didn’t even fight for it.

    • Insomniac

How? It was thrown RIGHT TO Prater.

      • Nick Folesly

Watch it again. Jackson had PLENTY of time to adjust to that ball. It looks like it was right to Prater because DJ didn’t fight for it.

        • Andy124

Bad throw. Bad play be DJ not trying to break it up. May not have realized Prater was even coming from that angle. Thought it was about to drop his hands for an easy catch. Just guessing.

          • Nick Folesly

I agree the throw could have been better, but there are a number of receivers who would have either caught that or broken it up at the very least.

        • Insomniac

No. Poor throw and perfect positioning from Prater.

  • scratcherk

Time for the D to answer

    • GEAGLE

      Oh they fucking better!!!

  • GEAGLE

FUCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK ME!!! FUCK FOLES and FUCK Praters…and FUCK whoever replies!!! UGH! Aggrivated!

This fucking defense better show something RIGHT now, or this iPad gets launched. Don’t fuck with me today Cary. Make a damn play on the ball, I certainly can’t ask thensafeties

  • ToastJenkins

wonder if desean caught shit for not breaking it up

  • Andy124

Hopefully the D can come make a play, try to get us some life.

  • TheRogerPodacter

looking at the replay, djax was WIDE open earlier in the route if they just threw it earlier

    • RobNE

      Yes

  • Jernst

5 rushes, disappointing effort against an inferior opponent….I feel like I’m having Deja vu from the Reid era.

  • teltschikfakeout88

Same old eagles. Lose to a severely undermanned Vikings team.. Again…. This game is awful….hope I eat crow in the 4th Q…but I am doubtful…

  • GermanEagle

honestly I am not too upset. What were to odds to go on a 12 game winning streak?!

    • TheRogerPodacter

      heh silver lining!

    • GEAGLE

      Not Losing this game

  • Pennguino

Pressing and not establishing the run. DJ could have helped out there but was just passive. Still on Nick. That’s why he trusts Cooper more on those type of plays.

  • TheRogerPodacter

boykin with another almost missed tackle

    • GEAGLE

His worst game of the year

  • Dragon_Eagle

Vikings are going to go for that.

    • BlindChow

      They might as well.

      • TheRogerPodacter

        yea, why not? “momentum”? lol

  • scratcherk

    Tony is an idiot

  • ickymudd

    First Vikings punt! Finally!

  • xeynon

The Vikings have a punter on their roster? I wasn’t aware.

  • RobNE

What is this thing where they kick the ball like this?

    • Crus57

Some unconventional FG attempt I think

  • Baloophi

This is one that the Vikings should go for. Make it, and it’s a back-breaker / time sucker. Don’t make it, you’ll get it back in 13 seconds.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    lots of flags out there

    • Baloophi

Minnesota’s “free commemorative referee flag give-away game” will cause that…

  • Dragon_Eagle

    uh oh

  • ACViking

    Can’t score 15 points on 1 drive.

Regroup. Get 1 TD now. Go from there.

  • ACViking

How hard is it to communicate penalties to the ref

    • Baloophi

How do you talk to an angel?

      • ACViking

        You came to play today.

      • ACViking

But you haven’t topped last week’s response to my question about Dumbo and the feather . . . and keeping up.

  • TheRogerPodacter

god only knows if the refs get this one right….

  • GEAGLE

Chung,,,if you can’t bring it on ST, then go fuck yourself

    • anon

Chung’s not the only problem this game…

      • GEAGLE

        You don’t say?

  • ACViking

Patrick Chung . . . yeah, he was available as a free agent because New England couldn’t afford him.

    Hmm, hmm.

    • GEAGLE

      Lol something like that

  • scratcherk

    these refs suck.

  • Baloophi

    Hmm, this won’t bite us…

  • TheRogerPodacter

Moose doesn’t like those penalties? they both looked like easy flags to me…

    • Corry

Moose not think. Think hurt moose head.

      • TheRogerPodacter

lol i expect that out of Goose since he’s an idiot. oh, i guess that explains why i should expect it out of Moose too, then. lol

      • GEAGLE

Hope he donates his brain to science

        • Crus57

          He hasn’t already?

  • Baloophi

Time to break out the old “Run, Andy, Run!” poster and a sharpie…

  • A_T_G

So who was Jackson yelling at? They said Avant, but it didn’t look like it, and that doesn’t seem likely.

    • Corry

it’s possible if Avant got on DeSean to break up the INT.

      • Andy124

        That’s what I was thinking.

  • Dragon_Eagle

I’d almost rather listen to Thiesmann and Collinsworth. Almost.

    • Crus57

      Wash your mouth out.

  • ACViking

    Baloophi . . .

If Kelly goes pass, pass, pass . . . has he become been NFL-ized?

    • Baloophi

He becomes demon-ized, that’s for sure.

  • Baloophi

What did Chip do at Oregon when trailing 15 points to Oregon A&M in the second half?

  • scratcherk

didnt realize damaris is still on the team.

    • TheRogerPodacter

right? kinda hoped that Brad Smith had taken his place…

  • Dragon_Eagle

Wait. #13. I vaguely remember that guy.

  • Corry

It’s just been that kind of day.

  • ACViking

    Johnson?

    Won’t see him again

  • Insomniac

Why didn’t we cut this guy yet

  • Baloophi

Again, middle of field is open. Is Celek out today?

    • TheRogerPodacter

someone else noted earlier he was helping JP on allen a lot

  • ToastJenkins

dammit shady dont bounce just get the first

  • GEAGLE

This is the time when the Detroit avalanche started….

  • Corry

YOU NEEDED A YARD MCCOY! GO FORWARD!

    • TheRogerPodacter

i think that 3rd down run was designed to go to the outside like that because Foles tossed it to him instead of the normal handoff

  • Baloophi

Should have challenged the previous spot. Now, we’re done.

  • scratcherk

    sigh.

  • TheRogerPodacter

that was a first down by mccoy….. he dove and got the ball ON the line 25 yard line

edit… errrr 30 yard line. whatever it was.

  • Insomniac

    Shady didn’t get it

  • ToastJenkins

looked like his elbow was down on 3rd not the knee – should have challenged

  • Andy124

    He got that.

    • Andy124

      I blame the spot.

    • Corry

They spotted it short though. You’re not going to overturn that since you can’t see the ball.

      • Andy124

        Agreed.

  • TheRogerPodacter

i think he got the first both times, actually

  • Baloophi

And there’s your game. Seriously – he had the first down on the previous run.

    • TommyLawlor

      Terrible spot.

      • Baloophi

Yeah, but given the gravity, have to challenge the spot on the 3rd down run, right? Better than putting yourself at 4th and 1 with that field position.

      • xeynon

The refs have been pretty atrocious throughout this game.

Not that it’s made a difference – the Eagles would be losing anyway. But it would be closer.

  • scratcherk

he’s def over the 25 on replay but not enough to overturn.

  • Baloophi

“College Boy” – here it comes.

  • shah8

okay, what, Kelly? Going for it is good, but, this gives up a field goal!

  • Baloophi

Now we’ll lose a timeout, too. Sweet.

  • Insomniac

    Chip is mad.

  • TheRogerPodacter

why would you challenge this one, but not the 3rd down run?

  • Andy124

    Hail Mary challenge.

  • xeynon

Why didn’t Kelly challenge the spot on 3rd down? It looked to me like McCoy had it on that run.

  • Dragon_Eagle

Oh, please Chip %#^$#%!!! That is a waste of a TO you’ll hoepfully need later.

  • ACViking

Kelly should have challenged the 3rd down spot

  • Pennguino

should have challenged the 3rd. Ball hit the 30 when he was down.

  • TheRogerPodacter

is there a camera on the other side of the field? this side only shows shady’s back

    • Iskar36

Can’t imagine a camera on the other side having a clear shot of McCoy through all the players.

      • TheRogerPodacter

youre probably right, i’m just wondering why we only see this one angle which doesn’t show the ball

  • jshort

    Shummer woke up

    • Crus57

      a play too late.

      • Dragon_Eagle

No, Shurmur was talking about the 3rd down. Tech difficulties caused a delay, apparently.

    • GEAGLE

Haha thanks for the much needed laugh

      • jshort

        should have slept!

  • RobNE

Why not be under center on 4th and 1?

  • Andy124

2 running plays on 3rd and 4th and short. You’d think we could pick it up with room to spare. At least he called running plays.

    • GEAGLE

      Any chance this gets overturned?

      • Andy124

        No.

  • pkeagle

    wrong down being challenged

  • DarthBanner

I believe this is what’s called shitting the bed. Completely unacceptable. Completely undeserving of a playoff spot. The entire organization should be embarrassed at this complete lack of preparation.

    • anon

I thought the cowboys looked bad last week…

      • BlindChow

They were playing a much better team.

        • anon

          my point exactly

      • TheRogerPodacter

at least we forced a punt!

  • ACViking

    Johnson FALLS down.

Side judge blows the spot on 3rd down.

Back judge — who’s supposed to be watching the TE — calls PI on Fletcher.

    WHAT THE FUCK

    • OregonDucker

      Karma whammy.

    • xeynon

Agree that the refs have been horrendous in this game, with most of the bad calls going against us.

But they were just as bad in the Arizona game, and we benefited from most of those calls. Things even out over the course of a season.

  • GEAGLE

I can’t take that Viking horn. I’m going to lose it

  • Andy124

Surprised no flag there for roughing the passer. Just because, these refs.

    • Baloophi

Maybe the back-judge will call it…

    • Corry

They’re waiting to see if the Eagles start making a comeback…then they’ll throw the flag.

  • Baloophi

This feels far more insurmountable than down 14-0 against Detroit in a blizzard.

  • scratcherk

    finally dialing up pressure.

  • Crus57

On the bright side, at least now the team should appreciate that they aren’t going to just walk into the playoffs.

    • TheRogerPodacter

i said it earlier – silver lining!

    • ACViking

They don’t belong in the playoffs.

It’s money time. Can’t be losing to a 3-9-1 team like this.

  • jshort

This is our time …right now!!! just like Detroit

  • Baloophi

That was the 3rd and long automatic first down play the Chiefs ran against us 9 times…

    • TheRogerPodacter

good to see we are learning something on D

      • Baloophi

        #Progress!

      • anon

nah still picked up 11 — which is crazy.

        • TheRogerPodacter

on 3rd down & >11, its ok, i guess. lol

  • Corry

The score may as well be 49-9 with the way the offense is playing.

  • shah8

Kendricks made a great play to keep Wright from the first.

  • RobNE

Why did we draw from shotgun on 4th and 1?

    • TheRogerPodacter

      kinda surprised no QB sneak

  • Baloophi

If you’re scoring along at home, Chip’s decision to go for it moves it from a 2 score differential to a 3 score differential, and makes it that much harder to run the ball.

    • Andy124

devils advocate: with the way our defense has been playing, what are the odds we’d have forced a punt anyway, but have lost that much more time?

      • Baloophi

I don’t know, but it’s essentially automatic points you’re giving up.

        • Andy124

Yeah. I don’t necessarily agree with the call, but I think it’s defensible.

          • Baloophi

I’m sure it is… but nothing is defensible today! Oh snap!

          • Crus57

            Nothing but the Eagles Offense.

          • Andy124

I’d laugh more if we were winning.

    • xeynon

I don’t have a problem with the decision to go for it. I do have a problem with not challenging the third down spot.

      • Baloophi

That’s what makes it all the more infuriating to me… the challenge should have happened on the previous play.

  • ACViking

    Che Cazzo!!!

  • Andy124

Good job D. Let’s run the 19 point play now. I think it’s on the second page of the playbook.

  • Crus57

Pretty sure I’ve seen Roc Carmichael out there on D quite a bit, is one of our CBs hurt?

    • Baloophi

Sconces came in with a bad hammy, so maybe that got him?

  • A_T_G

Well, at least now we don’t have to wonder what they will talk about on WIP this week.

  • ACViking

That INT deep to DJax — the right pass was to Cooper crossing the safety’s face

  • Baloophi

Bit of a throwback game to last season…

  • Cafone

Well, this is what some people were asking for: Nick Foles in a pressure situation.

  • ACViking

Also . . . DJax was arguing with Colt Anderson, I think.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    nice return by boykin

  • scratcherk

    fuck, boykin hurt.

    • TheRogerPodacter

shit. landed awkwardly on his arm, hopefully its not that.

kinda shitty that he was hurt and everyone just laid on top of him for a few minutes

  • Corry

Boykin got dropped on his head on that one.

  • ACViking

    That’s great.

Roc Carmichael in the slot now.

    • BobSmith77

      2 CBs hurt now. Ugh.

      • TheRogerPodacter

who else is hurt? did i miss an injury?

        • BobSmith77

Williams has been in and out.

          • TheRogerPodacter

oh wow, i didn’t even notice that. thanks

          • Andy124

            And Kurt Coleman.

      • TheRogerPodacter

or are you referring to Wolff?

    • Jernst

remind me again why boykin is even returning kicks instead of Brad Smith

      • ACViking

        Fipper’s choice?

        • Jernst

Just seems stupid. Boykin goes down = the defense is in a world of hurt. Smith goes down = nothing wrong at all for offense. Smith is historically a better KOR and Boykin has offered little to nothing as KOR over the past 2 years. Cost benefit analysis and I see absolutely no reason to have Boykin back there.

  • jshort

    Oh boy!!!

  • Andy124

    add injury to insult.

  • scratcherk

thats why brad smith should be returning kicks.

  • Baloophi

My head is actually hot with anger. Interesting.

  • ToastJenkins

    get 22 a smoothie…STAT

  • ACViking

I’m really struck by Kelly’s impatience with the running game today.

Very interested to hear T-law, Derek Sarley, and Fran Duffey on what happened.

Like watching Marty call the plays today.

    • Andy124

Packaged plays where the D dictated passes?

      • ACViking

        I don’t see it.

Foles is barely faking the handoffs.

        • Andy124

I don’t see it either. Grasping at straws.

  • Baloophi

If we score two more 9 pointers we can tie it up…

    • TheRogerPodacter

      make it happen

    • Insomniac

TD drives and 2 safeties? Why the hell not

  • scratcherk

    ugh. foles.

  • Baloophi

So, Bad Foles comes out every 6 games or so? I guess that’s not too bad…

  • TheRogerPodacter

once again, foles & avant just don’t have hte chemistry…

  • xeynon

Avant was open there and Foles just sailed that. He needs to calm down.

  • RobNE

    The raiders played zone

  • Baloophi

If only we had the league’s leading rusher to hand the ball to…

  • scratcherk

a bit of happy feet by foles.

    • TheRogerPodacter

yea, looked like he didn’t set his feet

    • Baloophi

That hit by Logan on Cassel scared him…

  • Andy124

    Catchable ball though.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    hey, there’s Avant!

  • Bob Brewer

This game is making me a sad panda.

  • BobSmith77

Foles has had happy feet today and he is isn’t planting and driving forward. A lot of stuff off-target and sailing.

In his defense, the O-line has generally been average to poor in the terms of pass protection he has gotten. Peters has struggled and so has Johnson who I have still have yet to see where people think he is competent in pass protection.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    nice catch by djax there

  • Dragon_Eagle

Could we get the ball to McCoy, please. Oh, thanks.

  • Baloophi

Hmm, broken running plays picking up 13 yards? Hmm…

  • Iskar36

Not sure what happened on that run, but it looked ugly.

  • xeynon

If the Vikings are confounding us by playing zone, where are the bubble screens and such? Gotta question the play calling here.

  • scratcherk

add that to the playbook chip!

  • Andy124

Who was that guy? He looked good.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    8 rushes!

  • scratcherk

    boom

    • scratcherk

      goes the dynamite.

  • jshort

    omg

  • TheRogerPodacter

there we go! nice play Foles & Djax

  • Corry

Are we allowed to do that?

  • ToastJenkins

Minn is playing 8 and even 9 men down…no wonder there are no runs

  • ACViking

    Talk about ON THE MONEY

  • Insomniac

    Just 5 more!!

  • Andy124

Foles has stronger nerves than we do.

  • anon

    there we go!!

  • TheRogerPodacter

wow. anyone else see the DB hold the shit out of djax at the beginning of that route?

    • Corry

No. And neither did the refs. I’m just surprised they’re pointed in the direction of the game.

      • TheRogerPodacter

ok, maybe i was imagining it

        • Crus57

DJax did have his shoulder dragged back, but might’ve been within 5yds so refs probably overlooked it.

        • Corry

I was kidding. I saw it lol

    • BlindChow

They have two coin flips at the beginning of every game. The second is to see who’s getting all the penalties called on them that day.

  • ACViking

    One possession at a time.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    D-E-F-E-N-S-E!!!!! Let’s go Billy D!!!!

  • shah8

Some life…now defense has to step up.

  • Baloophi

We ran that play before with Cooper, I believe…

    • Baloophi

In a previous game for points, obviously…

  • ToastJenkins

Ertz was open on the TD too. safety was caught in no mans land

  • scratcherk

why cant our kicker kick out of the endzone in a dome

    • TheRogerPodacter

      i really don’t understand it. he nailed a 51 yard FG…

    • Baloophi

I think they fear Corradderrallle too much…

      • TheRogerPodacter

LOL everytime they say it, i laugh.

  • BobSmith77

Nice to see Foles not turtle after some early throws earlier this quarter. Need a turnover to get back in this game though.

  • RobNE

Should we have gone for 2?

    • GermanEagle

      No. 2 early.

    • BlindChow

Yes, because you need a 2 pointer anyway, and if you miss it early, you’ll at least know where you stand. If you miss it late, there’s less time for a 3rd TD.

  • ACViking

    The TDs have been there.

    1. Cooper deep but the pass too close to the sideline. (Then the Foles penalty.)

    2. On the D-Jax INT by Prater, Cooper open crossing the safety.

    3. Then DJax just now.

  • TheRogerPodacter

ok defense. get the ball back!

  • TheRogerPodacter

Coleman is OUT. i guess we’ll be seeing a lot of Chung the rest of the day

  • TheRogerPodacter

crazy that we keep giving them that short route

  • scratcherk

wow, thornton just DESTROYED that guy

  • Baloophi

Desperate need of a turnover… if nothing more than for momentum.

    • scratcherk

      anything else you’d like?

      • Baloophi

Desperate need of a Celek screen that goes for 50 yards…

        • scratcherk

seriously, ask for a pot of gold. NOW.

          • Baloophi

Desperate need for a pick play where Cooper comes across wide open for a TD…

      • BobSmith77

        I want a hot dog. I want a soda. I want . ..

    • TheRogerPodacter

      there you go!

  • TheRogerPodacter

    holy shit thornton! my god….

  • Corry

Where has that been all day?

  • Andy124

Took out 2 OL and the back. WOW

  • Insomniac

Big Ced doing what he do!!

  • TheRogerPodacter

    YES!

  • BobSmith77

Musgrave has done a great job of mixing up the Eagles defense and not letting their d-line get into a rhythm.

  • Andy124

    LIFE

  • shah8

And the defense does come up with the ball.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    :)

  • Corry

Some life in the birds yet!

  • anon

    team wins!

  • xeynon

That’s the crappy Matt Cassel we’ve all come to know and love.

    • TheRogerPodacter

though i have to give credit to the DL for tipping the pass in the first place!

  • TheRogerPodacter

Kendricks channels his inner David Tyree and takes it off of Wright’s helmet.

  • Andy124

    Don’t forget about Shady.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    that was a beautiful play

  • Corry

Don’t worry Brent, you’ll score on one of those at some point.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    Wounded giraffe draw

  • TheRogerPodacter

anyone else notice the Celek turbo mode helmet adjustment near the end of that play?

  • scratcherk

    run it in please.

  • Insomniac

If only he took a second to gather himself and run in for the TD

  • Andy124

Clearly, Celek hates Foles and doesn’t want him to get touchdown passes.

  • scratcherk

    what a catch!

  • Baloophi

Ertz destroyed Avant on the celebration!

  • Andy124

    WHEW!!!!!!!

  • Pennguino

He tried to hit the turbo on his helment

  • TheRogerPodacter

    holy shit Ertz!!!!!

  • Corry

    Holy crap! That was awesome

  • xeynon

What a catch. Ertz is going to be a stud.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    Well, that was fast.

  • Andy124

    NOREPLAYNOREPLAYNOREPLAY

    • Andy124

If this doesn’t get an upvote from Viking, somebody go check on him.

  • nicolajNN

    Holy shit that was beautiful

  • ACViking

    Eagles a 1/2 a step faster — finally.

  • anon

    oh me of little faith…

  • BlindChow

Results were good, but no Shady there?

  • ACViking

    Don’t nee 2 here.

    Too early.

  • Insomniac

    Oh god WHY CHIP

  • Andy124

Still a good toss. Almost converted that.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    damn.

  • ToastJenkins

im fine with it. would prefer to see him hit ertz who could just box his man out

    • Crus57

Yeah, on the replay Ertz had great position.

  • BobSmith77

Poor call by Chip. His in-game decision-making still is pretty damn shaky.

    • RobNE

      What is the poor call?

      • BlindChow

Pass pass pass pass pass pass…

      • BlindChow

Also not challenging that 3rd down run.

      • Insomniac

        going for 2

        • BlindChow

You mean the play or the decision to go for 2?

          • Insomniac

            both

          • BobSmith77

            Yup.

          • BlindChow

It would have been 27 to 23 with a PAT. Going for 2 was absolutely the right decision.

          • Insomniac

A point is better than none especially when you’re behind.

  • Corry

How about a hold there ref? You’ve called worse bullshit on us all day.

    • anon

to be fair we’ve gotten our fair share of calls this season.

  • TheRogerPodacter

kinda wish he would have thrown to Ertz going to the far side of the field

  • Andy124

Gee, if only we’d put Vick in… smh

    • anon

could he have played much worse in the first half?

      • Andy124

        yes

  • scratcherk

these kickoffs need to be rethought.

    • TheRogerPodacter

      ugh. seriously!

    • BlindChow

Giving them a short field on every drive.

  • OregonDucker

Conditioning is starting to win the day folks.

  • deshawnbentley

If Crosby is kicking it out the end zone why can’t Henry?

    • Crus57

They’re petrified that Patterson will return it from 8 yards deep for a TD.

  • Andy124

    Please D please.

  • Corry

C’mon D. No points here. Don’t give up anything!

  • anon

boykin and coleman done for he day :( carmicheal and chung!

    • TheRogerPodacter

we needed a few injuries in our secondary to even the playing field i guess

    • BobSmith77

Coleman is no loss. Boykin is huge though.

    • Baloophi

Boykin and Coleman out also effects kick coverage teams.

      • anon

        very true

      • Corry

Punt coverage is going to be hurt alot.

        • Baloophi

          Oh. We don’t punt anymore.

  • SteveH

Time to gut this shit out.

    • Baloophi

Yes. The goal should for the defense needs to be “no 5 minute drives.”

  • BobSmith77

Ertz is on pace to catch 30 rec, 400 yards, and 4 Tds. Sounds impressive but the much-maligned LJ Smith was more productive this rookie season.

  • ACViking

    Where is TOMMY LAWLOR . . .

Do you agree THIS is the kind of game where Foles is showing he’s got the requisite ICE in his veins?

    • Insomniac

The team decided to show up late.

    • BobSmith77

Tommy is at least 10 PBRs in and unable to type coherently.

  • scratcherk

    More please.

  • Corry

Finally getting some pressure on him.

    • TheRogerPodacter

that wa a pretty intense blitz

  • scratcherk

    omg… damn 3rd and long.

  • Baloophi

BARF. Boykin would’ve stripped that ball.

  • ToastJenkins

    damn damn damn damn damn

  • Corry

    ….*sigh*

  • TheRogerPodacter

    UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH COME ON DEFENSE!

  • Andy124

    Hope for field goal.

  • Baloophi

Shades of Tulloch trying to cover Cooper…

  • TheRogerPodacter

wish kendricks was a few inches taller and anderson could tackle

  • anon

    different day same story

  • BobSmith77

Vikings should look to target Carmichael as much as possible the rest of the game.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    huge hit by kendricks

  • Pennguino

3rd and forever and can never get off the field.

  • TheRogerPodacter

    sigh……………………

  • ACViking

This defense has been abused today.

    • Andy124

Horrible game for them. With the top two running backs out for a team who’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd option is the run. Hopefully just one of those days… hopefully.

      • ACViking

        Well said. Hopefully.

    • anon

what are you going to do they are starting drives in eagles territory — i think we have no confidence in ST after last week.

  • Corry

I bet we could score a lot too if the vikings let us start on the 30ish every stinkin’ drive too.

    • TheRogerPodacter

i wish we made them start at the 30 on that drive…..

      • Corry

That actually would have been an improvement…

  • Baloophi

    Thanks, D!

Maybe we need to risk kicking it to Corrafderofe erelll ee

  • anon

sure billy D wanted a piece of all day?

  • scratcherk

Kick the ball off next time u clowns.

  • Baloophi

My head has gone hot again.

  • xeynon

    Man, this defense sucks.

I want Patrick Chung gone next season.

    • anon

what’d chung do wrong? he saved the Td where colt andersn blew the block

      • TheRogerPodacter

i think thats just a general hatred, not specific to that play. lol

      • BobSmith77

Anderson is a horrible safety. Can’t cover or tackle on defense. As much as I loathe Coleman, Anderson is a step down.

    • ReginaldLennox

I want Fipp gone next season. And Henery, if he is incapable of kicking it deep enough to prevent a return.

  • RobNE

    We have to kick deep

    • Pennguino

      We have to score first

  • TheRogerPodacter

at what point do we have to look at ourselves and say that our ST unit sucks balls?

    • Baloophi

      I’m gonna say last week.

    • BobSmith77

Was has happened the last few weeks? Been a clusterf@ck the last 2 weeks and a real struggle the last month.

    • Corry

Probably should have done that last week.

  • xeynon

Let’s add Chase Ford to the list of no-name stiffs that are embarrassing our defense in this game.

  • ceteris_paribus1776

Giving up 34 to cassel and Asaidi is embarrassing

  • teltschikfakeout88

Can someone explain to me what is up with our knockoffs in a friggin dome…can henery not kick it out of the EZ?

    • Baloophi

      We should’ve drafted a 3rd round kicker.

    • ReginaldLennox

It’s like everyone is afraid to admit that using a draft pick on a K who can’t send it deep was a mistake.

      • Crus57

He’s done it in other games, so it’s not that he *can’t* send it deep.. he just isn’t today.

  • ToastJenkins

    nice work, Smith

  • Insomniac

    YEAA BRAD SMITH

  • TheRogerPodacter

this is why brad smith should have been returning kicks all the while

    • Andy124

      indeed

  • ACViking

Smith’s return highlighting what a good decision it was to put your only slot-corner at KR

    • ReginaldLennox

To be fair… recent additions are hard to judge/acclimate

      • TheRogerPodacter

i’m not sure he’s so recent anymore.

  • RobNE

Yep can see why smith hasn’t been returning kicks

  • Dragon_Eagle

I think I agree with Moose for once. When (not if) we score again, we’ve got to kick deep.

  • Dragon_Eagle

    ish

  • ToastJenkins

is Peters hungover today or something?

  • BlindChow

    3rd and 2. Pass.

  • Corry

IT WAS 3RD AND 2 CHIP! WTF?!

  • Baloophi

Man. Bad Foles is worse than I remembered.

  • TheRogerPodacter

WHY ARE WE NOT RUNNING THE BALL?!

    • Baloophi

      Because we don’t have a good… no.

Because running doesn’t give you big pla… no.

      I don’t know.

      • BlindChow

        Not enough snow.

    • anon

I think Kelly doesn’t like running the ball when (a) we are down, (b) they have a legit line and (c) their top 3 cbs are out…

  • ACViking

    Jason Peter is NOT back.

    • ReginaldLennox

Allen is a beast at minimum.

      • ACViking

Peters was talked up all week in the media as “back and better than ever.”

Allen — who is great — has made Peters look ordinary.

        • anon

Oh so you believed what the media was saying? Everyone gets beat sometimes.

          • ACViking

            A —

  • Bob Brewer

The defense has been helped by refs who let them play. They didn’t let them play today and they just aren’t good enough.

  • ReginaldLennox

Really curious why they chose Damaris there.

  • Andy124

should be kneeling or playing the backups.

  • BlindChow

I’m back to rooting for the high draft pick.

    • Crus57

      Too late for that, sadly.

  • Corry

welp, that’ll teach me to be confident for a game. They are still the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • SteveH

We were poop today. Shit gameplan with not using Shady, shit plan on special teams giving them good field position all day, shit defense couldn’t stop anything through the air, really just a tiny handful of players who did well today.

  • Cafone

throw it to DeSean, he’s 5 yards short of 200

    • TheRogerPodacter

i’d like to see him get to 200 as well

  • Baloophi

They’re even over-throwing the refs after the play!

  • Andy124

well, at least they got foles over 400 yards. That was important.

    • TheRogerPodacter

only the numbers are important in hindsight (remember the yards given up against the raiders?!)

      but the only real important numbers: 48 – 30 –> 8 & 6

      • Andy124

        sarcasm

  • disqus_jB7dl5fzvO

What’s the over/under on the amount of Eagles fans committing suicides this week?

  • xeynon

In closing, all I can say about today’s Eagles performance is: go Packers!

  • ACViking

More than 800 comments — going on 900.

Has to a record for a 1st or 2nd half thread.

    • Baloophi

I apologize for submitting half of the them.

      #CrankyBaloophi

  • Baloophi

New coach. New players. Same Eagles.

Seems like we’re always going to be good for at least one inexplicable loss a season.

  • GEAGLE

    Offensively, problems across the board.
Chip never let shady get looser both Chip and FOles were greedy always swinging or the fences.
Took FOles too long to get going, although JP/Lane, WRs dropping balls and not getting open certainly didn’t help…this got better as the game went on, but our OTs gave up backbreaking sacks on crucial 3rd downs…

With that said, ANYTIME I see 30pts on the board, I expect to win. THIS ONE is on my defense, then Chip, then the offense…can’t single out FOles when our OTs don’t play well enough and our skill position players kept us from getting into a Rythem early.

    • BlindChow

      Also, no Shady.

    • Pennguino

I am going to have and go with the Defense as the main part for this loss. Then Foles and the offense. Foles was off most of the day and he had a few drops on key downs. More pressure allowed from the OTs. But the players have to execute the game plan. Then I blame Chip for not adjusting and getting Shady more involved.

  • Cafone

The defense and the decision to squib kick all day long deserve most of the blame, but I’m going to blame Riley Cooper anyway.

  • BlindChow

The Cowboys loss last week gave us this one-loss window, but from the looks of it, this team doesn’t deserve to make the playoffs.

    • jshort

Was going to say….don’t know how i feel about that!!

  • Crus57

Any game where your QB has more rush yards than the NFL’s leading rusher is most likely going to be bad.

  • Andy124

    still control our own destiny.

  • Corry

The Vikings just dropped 48 points on us. that’s the football equivalent of crapping your pants. Then your bed. Then on the hood of your own car.

    • BlindChow

Then all over your office chair. Then all over your desk, and then your boss’ desk. Then all over the back of the ambulance they call because clearly you are having some sort of serious medical issue.

      • Crus57

Then you set fire to all of the above.

  • TheRogerPodacter

dallas game – murray picks up 11 yards on the first play. not a good sign for the pack.

    • Baloophi

Also, Buck and Aikman… not a good sign for viewers.

      • Crus57

It’s the Dallas game, that goes without saying.

      • TheRogerPodacter

yea, i dont think i’m going to watch this game haha

  • FairOaks

The defensive performance does not make me too confident about playing the Bears, who also have very tough-to-contain WRs. If their QB play can get the ball there it could be a long day on defense again.

  • Corry

Looks like Dom Capers is using Bill Davis’ gameplan for this game. It’s the one where you let their wide receivers open and hope the QB is just bad.

    • BlindChow

Except without the penalties extending the opposing team’s drives.

      • Corry

Well to be fair, they don’t have a CB the quality of Bradley Fletcher.

  • teltschikfakeout88

“Well that kind sucked”…aka typical response from an eagles fan after losing another game which they shouldn’t have….sad to say we can’t blame this on a Tuesday night game….we stunk it up today in all phases….coaches and players…

  • Frencheaglesfan

Guys, this game is perfect. We realise once again as fans that we are still a step below being a good playoff team. Our defense needs help. But I’m really glad of our offense reaction and foles. Without the bad d and bad st Tommy and us could have noticed a come back victory by foles. Not bad.

    • ICDogg

Saw way too much Bad Foles in this game and not enough Good Foles. So Foles is not off the hook as far as I’m concerned.

      • Corry

It’s a team loss, but I agreed earlier with someone that the D gets the lion’s share of the blame.

there’s also the special teams game plan to squib kick everything. But you can’t give up 48 points to the Vikings. You just can’t.

        • ICDogg

You also can’t expect to win by holding the ball too long and throwing wobbly ducks in a dome for more than half the game.

          • Corry

Oh believe me, Foles doesn’t escape getting his share of the blame. He was bad to below average for most of the game and his statistics for the day don’t really describe it that well, but you have to expect a better performance from the D when facing the likes of what’s-his-face the RB and Matt Cassel.

The whole game was a cluster-fuck. Piss poor game planning and management. Starts from the top and rolls down hill to everyone.

          • ICDogg

Oh, the D sucked royally, I don’t think anyone questions that. It’s just that the O wasn’t so good either.

          • Corry

So we’re in agreement then: Everybody sucked.

      • Andy124

He wasn’t perfect, but I think he was a lot better than the emotion of a loss is telling you. He missed some throws and made some wrong decisions, but what quarterback doesn’t over the course of a game? Overall, he did enough for us to win.

      • Frencheaglesfan

Agreed but in the first half he didn ´t have a lot of help from the teammates and coaching. We can ´t expect manning play from him. It ´s just a shame that we were once again a good half team. But there is a lot to like about our offense reaction.

        • BlindChow

No kidding. I can’t believe McCoy only got 8 carries. That’s inexcusably bad coaching imo.

  • jshort

Bears receivers are better than what we faced here

    • Corry

And both of their QBs are probably better.

  • OregonDucker

I am in awe at the lack of execution by O and D. NFL = Not For Long…..

    • ICDogg

I know that philosophically the “every game is the Super Bowl” should keep them from having a letdown game, but it’s easier said than done.

      • jshort

Have lots to talk about this week…..

        • GEAGLE

Nothing to talk about, plenty to forget lol

  • GEAGLE

Silver lining…if we can duplicate another 5 game win streak…a fun parade will take place :)
    ..
As of today, extremely dissapointing across the board, with the exception of:
Heremans,Mathis,Kelce didn’t give up much pressure, OTs were bad
    Kendricks was strong
    Benny Logan best Lineman today

Offense showed some nice things, but it’s hard to get excited when my defense looked like Dallas last week giving up points on every drive for most of the game

    • jshort

Wouldn’t that leave us one short?

      • BlindChow

Depends on when it starts, I guess.

    • OregonDucker

Really disappointed in effort by the team. Many did not seem to have their head in the game.

      • jshort

even being a fan….I wasn’t that much into this game…and not really feeling that bad now.

        • BlindChow

Strangely, I’m not anywhere near as disappointed as I was after losses earlier in the year. Most of my ire is directed at Kelly for the non-stop passing. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss?

      • jshort

Could be in shock…..almost 50 put up on us

      • Baloophi

Including, sadly, the head coach. Blowing the timeout because he didn’t realize they needed to go for two… the non-challenge on the crappy spot before the 4th and 1 attempt… which then forced him to challenge a basically unchallengeable play on the next play… refusal to stick with the run. Weird game for Kelly.

        • ICDogg

And all that squib kicking. That’s coaching from fear.

          • jshort

That was pissing me off too……!

    • BlindChow

      Is your iPad okay?

      • ICDogg

You’ll be able to tell by how the name FOles looks.

  • jshort

not looking like cowboys want there game either

  • ACViking

Kelly: No running because the Eagles O-line couldn’t block the Viking?

    Wow.

    • ACViking

      That’s Andy Reid talking

      • Baloophi

Yep. All it takes is one play where they do block…

        Pretty crappy day of play-calling.

  • Mitchell

This truly was a rough game, but lets take a second to look on the bright side. Did we ever think we would be in the playoff hunt at all this season? Chip is still a rookie coach in the NFL and has shown the ability to learn from his mistakes. Nick Foles is still playing pretty damn well. Our defense obviously still needs some work but at least we were still able to hold opponents of under 21 points for 9 weeks! In summation, this game really really really sucked but things could be worse. Did you see Eli throw 5 ints? That’s right 5!!!

  • Baloophi

One small practice suggestion for this week: “Throw the ball away rather than take the sack” drill.

    • RobNE

And step up and make a fair catch

And get your resume together if you can’t kickoff deep in a dome

      Or your name is Chung

  • RobNE

Dallas could be resting their starters against us.

    • jshort

Could very well be. Would really like that game to mean something.

  • Corry

Looks like the Packers aren’t going to give us any help.
