Inactives vs WAS

It is gameday and we’ve got the inactives list for today.

QB Matt Barkley
WR Josh Huff
OL Kevin Graf
OL Matt Tobin
DL Taylor Hart
ILB Mychal Kendricks
S Earl Wolff

The surprise on that list is Wolff. Apparently he’s having some knee issues. The other players are pretty obvious.

CB Jaylen Watkins is active for the first time in his young career.

DeSean Jackson will play. He didn’t warm up today and some speculated he might miss the game, but he is active. Either Jay Gruden is playing games or don’t expect to see Jackson all that much today.

C Kory Lichtensteiger is also active. He’s injured, but will make the start.

We all want Acho at ILB, but Casey Matthews will probably start. Matthews is more experienced and you just get the feeling the coaches like him more. Both guys will play so the one who performs best will be on the field more. Just don’t be surprised if Matthews is out there first.

Marcus Smith is active and could be used at ILB in some packages. He is a better pass rusher than either Acho or Matthews. He’s probably better in coverage as well. The coaches could put him out there in some Nickel sets to take advantage of his athletic ability.

Here’s a blast from the past.

Younger/newer fans won’t remember Andy Harmon, but he was a terrific DT in the mid-1990’s. I loved Andy. Outstanding interior pass rusher. Not many DTs get 11 sacks.

    last week we didn’t allow TY Hilton to get behind us. Desean is an ego maniac, if he plays and we can shut him down while the skins are losing, his ego will be bruised and we could start seeing dysfunctional Desean.. Gotta frustrate Desean today..

    Just trying to stay positive. Its just much more fun than where we were during the fall of the AR regime.

    This team can beat anyone, but they can also lose to anyone. I want to focus on the first part.
