PS Finale – Eagles at Jets

Posted: September 3rd, 2015 | Author: | Filed under: Philadelphia Eagles | 601 Comments »

Backups only this week.

But that’s good. Lots of roster battles to be decided. Here is update on who won’t play.

Need to find a #3/4 Safety.

Need some backup OL to play well.

Is there a #3 QB on this team?

* * * * *

Posted this week’s DGR late. Apologies for that.

Tommy why are you apologizing for “late” postings? You don’t owe us squat.

    Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!! You fool.

    Bye bye Barkley

  4. 4 Lewwyn said at 7:09 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Goodbye Matt Barkley!

  5. 5 Corry said at 7:12 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Josh Huff getting some work on his tackling.

  6. 6 Corry said at 7:12 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Refs getting some work on blowing calls.

  7. 7 Media Mike said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Maybe Washington GM’s wife can clarify exactly who they are blowing.

  8. 8 Iskar36 said at 7:13 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

So question for people that understand the rule book. Is this technically reviewable since they ruled the “fumble” not a fumble, therefore it is not automatically reviewed (hopefully that makes sense). I know any turnover is reviewed but the part they are reviewing was not a turnover, therefor can you automatically review it because there was a turnover as part of the play?

  9. 9 Corry said at 7:14 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I believe it is now. Originally, if the ball was blown dead, that was it. What’s important is that there was a clear recovery at the end. Had no one fell on the ball, it would have remained Jets ball I believe.

  10. 10 Iskar36 said at 7:16 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I guess what my point is that on the field, it was ruled a tackle, therefore, officially the fumble never occurred. The Eagles themselves could challenge the ruling if they wanted to, but because it was ruled that no fumble occurred, shouldn’t it NOT be automatically reviewed?

  11. 11 Corry said at 7:17 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Oh right, we would have had to challenge it (throw the red flag). What was being reviewed was the interception.

  12. 12 Corry said at 7:13 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Alonso on the field.

  13. 13 Media Mike said at 7:24 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Good to see.

  14. 14 GEAGLE said at 7:17 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Is Barkley like purposely making it impossible to trade him? That was Tebowesque bad!!
    ..
Kid should be showing serious growth year 3 in this offense, looked to have a solid command of the offense in game 1, but it has been a continuos nose dive since the end of the Colts game… Smh really disappointed in his lack of development

  15. 15 Corry said at 7:18 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

That was a fairly ugly series by the 2nd team D. I was expecting better.

  16. 16 Insomniac said at 7:20 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Jaylen still having his up and downs.

  17. 17 Media Mike said at 7:21 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He totally has some downs up in him.

  18. 18 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:21 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Just getting on-line. Have you guys cut Barkley yet?

  19. 19 Insomniac said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

We had 2 QBs for awhile now.

  20. 20 Ark87 said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I’m on team cut ’em both. Get anyone with a non-zero chance of upside.

  21. 21 Crus57 said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Cut ’em all and let God sort ’em out.

  22. 22 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I’m on board with that, too.

  23. 23 Corry said at 7:24 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    I’m also on this team.

  24. 24 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I suppose we have to wait until the game is over to cut them though.

  25. 25 Ark87 said at 7:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

The mid-game cut should be in the playbook imo lol.

  26. 26 GEAGLE said at 7:34 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Respectfully disagree
    ..
Chip has only been here two years and he already had to call on his #3 QB for a game and a half, and that was without a starting QB
Coming off two Knee injuries… If we really are planning to Contend, I don’t want to have to pick up another QB in September that has to learn the offense,.
    ,,
We have some serious firepower on offense so I like our chances to get thru a game or two with Barkley or Tebow… But more then two games and it will get ugly with either of them at QB..
    ..
I’m no Tebow or Barkley fan but I’m even less of a fan of having to teach a new QB the offense at the start of the season and for what? So that we can keep Couplin AND Reynolds instead of just 1? Or so we can keep Molk and Vamdervelde instead of having to choose one?
    ..
Maybe if you have some Iron Man starting Qb who hasn’t missed games in 3 years we can talk about only keeping 2 QBs but I think we have to be crazy to have q playoff team with a QB who hasn’t stayed healthy in years and only have 1 backup on the bench.. I would be too afraid to only keep 2 Qbd

  27. 27 Ark87 said at 7:38 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

If Barks or Tebow steps onto the field to play consecutive plays at QB at any point this season, it’s over. Hell if Bradford misses significant time, it’s over. QB3 is no hero.

  28. 28 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:38 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I get your point GEAGLE. A 3rd QB has value. But in that scenario of needing a 3rd QB for a game or 2, who would you choose – Barkley, TeBow, Cassel or Flynn or someone else cut by Saturday? I’d upgrade that 3rd QB spot.

Furthermore, Reynolds (for example) vs, Tebow – who ya keeping?

  29. 29 GEAGLE said at 7:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Reynolds missed a tackle.. If he doesn’t perform he will give Couplin a great chance to catch him:, if Reynolds wants to make this roster he can’t make mistakes on defense tonight, has to make the plays available, while also making sure to contribute on ST… I don’t believe both Reynolds and Couplin can make this roster, so these two youngsters better play their hearts out tonight
    ..
Not a good start by Jalen Watkins:.. I think his roster spot is perfectly safe especially with his DB versatility, but their is a starting nickel spot available and it’s disappointing to not see Jaylen step up and make a case for that starting slot corner spot.,, Kid needs to step up and make some plays tonight..
    ,,
We NEED someone to step up and win the 5th DB(Nickel spot)… I hope we don’t have to pick “the tallest midget in the room” and someone actually step up and win the starting nickel spot

  30. 30 Corry said at 7:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Mostert would be way more useful to keep around than Barkley or Tebow.

  31. 31 Insomniac said at 7:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Nice holes and nice vision by Mostert.

  32. 32 Lewwyn said at 7:26 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Oooph that over throw by Barkley, looked like the ball was tunbling.

  33. 33 iceberg584 said at 7:26 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Second team OL looking good…Barkley, not so much.

  34. 34 Insomniac said at 7:27 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Where ya going Barner? There was nothing there.

  35. 35 Corry said at 7:27 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Burton was fairly open on both those over throws.

  36. 36 anon said at 7:28 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

yeah but never thought i’d mention overthrough and barkely in the same sentence.

  37. 37 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:27 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Barkley is clearly letting the pressure get to him. He’s not good, but he’s normally not this awful. OK, that’s better.

  38. 38 Ark87 said at 7:28 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

dammit had to delete my Barkley rip

  39. 39 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:29 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  44. 44 Dragon_Eagle said at 7:31 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    You’re very optimistic.

  45. 45 GEAGLE said at 7:40 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

sit thru a half of Tebow and We might start begging for Barkley lol

  46. 46 Insomniac said at 7:41 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

We’ll see..no wait we don’t. Just hand the ball off to Mostert, Barner, and Monengai for the rest of the game.

  47. 47 Crus57 said at 7:32 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Terrible job by Molk (I think) on that 3rd and Goal, high snap and then let a LB run right by him

  48. 48 Media Mike said at 7:32 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Allow me to correct your sentence

    Terrible job by Molk

  49. 49 GEAGLE said at 7:35 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Terrible job by Molk AS USUAL!! Hate that dude

Come on man… Would have liked to see Kiko get another series or two to get ready for the season…

  55. 55 Media Mike said at 7:39 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Rowe plan on keeping his feet at all this year?

  56. 56 Lewwyn said at 7:39 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Is the field slippery? Mostert slipped earlier too.

  57. 57 Insomniac said at 7:40 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Is the field wet with Barkley’s tears or did it rain earlier?

  58. 58 Media Mike said at 7:40 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

It wasn’t slippery for the WR that toasted Rowe. Or the one who toasted Watkins.

  59. 59 Ark87 said at 7:40 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I don’t get it, was lined up in press, and bailed so hard he fell down, wth is that?

  60. 60 Media Mike said at 7:40 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I’m sure that is a technique issue that he can clean up.

  61. 61 GEAGLE said at 7:48 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Like I always say, rookie corners suck, and we aren’t doing him any service bouncing him between outside and the slot after only one year of corner experience…. Good news, sharp kid, good work ethic, a kid that will learn from these mistakes.., education of Death Rowe continues..
    .

  62. 62 Insomniac said at 7:39 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Jaylen sticks to his guy like glue if he doesn’t screw up somehow.

  66. 66 SteveH said at 7:43 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Eric Rowe is getting beaten like a rented mule out there.

  67. 67 Media Mike said at 7:43 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Couplin is playing angry. I like it.

  68. 68 Insomniac said at 7:44 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Murdered Rowe is about to be his new nickname if he keeps this up

  69. 69 Crus57 said at 7:44 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

If he slips on the field we can call him Skid Rowe

  70. 70 Media Mike said at 7:45 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Winner

  71. 71 Insomniac said at 7:45 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    lol nice one

  72. 72 Ark87 said at 7:45 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

It’s rough. At this rate it will be hard to expect anything in 2015. Not going to write him off as a draft pick yet but it’s been tough sledding for him.

  73. 73 SteveH said at 7:45 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Awww cmon jets thats cheap, what does throwing a cute little screen prove?

  74. 74 Media Mike said at 7:45 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  78. 78 GEAGLE said at 7:48 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Great stuff!

  79. 79 GEAGLE said at 7:46 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Come on Couplin,. You gotta come up and make the tackle to stop that TD!! LETS GO YOUNG DBs!! Get it together… Put Denzel Rice on the field and let him show them how it’s done!!!

  80. 80 SteveH said at 7:46 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I hate to keep banging on about the whole “we have tons of depth and that’s why we can trade boykin” thing but… I sure as hell don’t want Rowe starting significant games at this point.

  81. 81 Insomniac said at 7:48 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He’ll get better. Jaylen looked bad last year too (but not as bad as Rowe) and now he looks like he could almost start.

  82. 82 SteveH said at 7:49 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He’ll be better next year doesn’t really help us in the here and now.

  83. 83 Insomniac said at 7:52 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

True but the top 4 CBs picked this year has struggled too

  84. 84 SteveH said at 7:53 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I’m not criticizing the Rowe pick, I like Rowe, I’m criticizing the thinking behind trading Boykin.

  85. 85 SteveH said at 7:47 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

lol matt barkley’s face says it all right?

  86. 86 Greg Richards said at 7:48 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    They’re alternating quarters

  96. 96 GEAGLE said at 7:50 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Thanks

  97. 97 Greg Richards said at 7:49 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

They’re alternating quarters so both are with the same quality of personnel.

  98. 98 Insomniac said at 7:50 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Barkley and Tebow splitting the halves

  99. 99 Greg Richards said at 7:51 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Of course, Tebow’s first play – 1 yard run up the middle.

  100. 100 Corry said at 7:52 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Mostert has been the only bright spot of the game thus far.

  101. 101 Media Mike said at 7:52 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He’s such a better player than Barner.

  102. 102 Insomniac said at 7:54 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Mostert is the better RB by far IMO

  103. 103 Ark87 said at 7:54 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

specifically he has the upside over Barner

  104. 104 EAGLES said at 7:56 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Yup he finds the tiny angular creases McCoy would usually ignore then turns into a bat out of hell.

    I love Mostert

  106. 106 SteveH said at 7:54 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  119. 119 Greg Richards said at 7:59 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

The thing about the 4th preseason game is guys are so tense trying to make wow plays that they don’t play fundamental football.

    Jaylen! A DB emerges!

Now if only he can tackle and be consistent!

  122. 122 Greg Richards said at 8:00 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Watkins can cover. Just needs to shore up tackling. I think he will be the nickel CB. Wouldn’t surprise me if Rowe is inactive early.

  123. 123 Insomniac said at 8:01 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I hope so. Rowe’s confidence has to be at the lowest it can be right now.

  124. 124 SteveH said at 8:00 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

You know I get the feeling Chip is going to keep Tebow despite him doing absolutely nothing to merit keeping. Just a feeling.

  125. 125 Corry said at 8:00 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Watkins has his brain farts, but he can cover.

  126. 126 Dragon_Eagle said at 8:00 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  134. 134 Media Mike said at 8:03 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Nah. Ducker has been killing Tebow all week.

  135. 135 Insomniac said at 8:05 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Attaboy Jaylen… Nice play youngin,… Mayock is wrong, Jaylen ISNT competing for a roster spot. He is competing for starting Nickel… Chip ISNT a moron that cuts talented smart kids before their 2nd season after spending a 4th on him a year ago, get real Mayock, you sound dumb and you are better then that…. Watkins is a lock, he isn’t competing for a roster spot…lol as if we would piss away last years 4th round pick who we have practicing at 3 different positions for 7th yr EJ Biggers…lol if BIGS make the roster it won’t be Jaylens spot that he takes

  148. 148 Greg Richards said at 8:08 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I agree but I don’t think it’s so cut and dry. If he was behind Rowe or Biggers, then I think Rice could make it over Watkins just for superior STs ability.

  149. 149 GEAGLE said at 8:12 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Watkins is a pretty good ST player…NO way Watkins doesn’t make this roster. Not pissing away last years 4th round pick who we thought enough of to have hm practice 3 positions so that we can keep BIGS in his 7th yr..
    ..
Watkins is Talemted youngl intelligent. Extremely versatile, solid ST,player… You can bet he is on the 53 man roster this year, regardless what happens with rice or Bigs.. Does chip look like a fool cutting 4th round pick before, year 2? Nonsense…

    jesus, Rowe again.

  164. 164 Greg Richards said at 8:14 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Rowe isn’t a fit as a slot corner, going against typical quick, shifty slot WRs. He’s an outside press CB or a safety.

  165. 165 RC5000 said at 8:15 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He’s learning cb still but I liked him at safety more.

  171. 171 GEAGLE said at 8:16 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Why would you do that? Last game that doesn’t count so ROWE can get beat and learn from it without costing the team…. Don’t screw with his education. Leave him out there all game switch between outside and slot, let him take his lumps now when it doesn’t matter,..rookie corners suck

  172. 172 anon said at 8:22 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

so do we not practice against screens in the summer. I just want to see 1 screen not devastate us.

  174. 174 Greg Richards said at 8:16 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Screens are going to kill defenders in the 4th preseason game. They’re going to overpursue. That isn’t necessarily something that will translate to the regular season.

  179. 179 Greg Richards said at 8:16 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He had a nice game against Baltimore.

  180. 180 Fufina said at 8:17 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I think we will play a lot less nickle defence than Mayock and most people think.

With Thurmond and Jenkins we can stay in base even against 3 WR’s since one of the safeties will drop in to cover the slot. If we want to bring in an extra DB we can bring in whoever is the best 5th DB since either safety can drop down to cover and both Carrol and Maxwell can slide in to cover slot guys.

Think this is the reason why we decided to move on from Boykin – a specialised slot CB is really not needed with the other guys we have in the secondary.

  184. 184 Fufina said at 8:19 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

We want to stay in base regardless of personnel on first 2 downs. Then 3rd down will be specialist sub package depending on who and how the opposition line up.

  189. 189 MattE said at 8:24 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

    Way appropriate.

  190. 190 Greg Richards said at 8:21 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I think they’ll pick up another DB on waivers or through trade, honestly. Not really comfortable with anyone at nickel at this point. One of the safeties can shift to covering the slot, yes, but I’m not comfortable with any of the backup safeties playing regularly.

  191. 191 Sean Stott said at 8:22 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Biggers could be serviceable. Watkins could come into his own. Who knows.

  192. 192 Greg Richards said at 8:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  195. 195 RC5000 said at 8:32 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

What are chances you find better than Biggers level guy though? Even starters don’t necessarily fit as nickel. Watkins may work.

  196. 196 Ark87 said at 8:22 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Our best nickle CB right now are our starting safeties, by a mile

  197. 197 Fufina said at 8:23 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

There is no one on waivers you are going to bring in and start with 1 week of playbook knowledge. You pinch an athletic upside guy who you can sit inactive the first half of the year generally.

Think we will be ‘fine’ with Watkins/Biggers coming in for dime coverage against quicker guys. Rowe will be fine against less agile WR’s.

  198. 198 Greg Richards said at 8:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Maybe someone from DEN who knows the techniques that Undlin teaches. Unfortunatley, T.J. Ward was suspended for Week 1 and that will allow them to keep a player they’d normally cut Week 1.

  201. 201 Fufina said at 8:24 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  202. 202 Sean Stott said at 8:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Reynolds plays smart, but he’s really nothing athletically. Smart Stanford guy though, will make plays by reading offense.

  203. 203 Fufina said at 8:26 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Absolutely agree, he is not going to be a pro bowler, but if we loose a starting safety i think he will cost us the least amount of games as a starter.

  204. 204 Corry said at 8:26 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Yeah but he can’t tackle well. Couplin doesn’t have the ball hawk skill but from what I’ve seen he’s serviceable in coverage and way more physical.

  256. 256 Fufina said at 8:38 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

He is still raw and does not have the physical tools to be worth keeping inactive all year for someone else. I love the kid but he is making a massive step up and some of his route running is really raw and he still is making mental mistakes.

Having said all that he has silky hands, great size and length and more importantly a tremendous desire to be an NFL player and i think he will make it as a 4th/5th WR type who is great on teams. He just is not ready for that role yet.

Could see him landing in Cleveland or Houston if Kelly cuts him

  265. 265 Fufina said at 8:41 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Mostert has the physical tools to be worth stealing and keeping inactive most of the year for a team while he continues to grow and develop since he is raw as hell (seen nothing pass blocking wise from him).

Honestly think i would keep him over Barner but with the way the Eagles are using RB’s tonight looks like they are giving him a platform to find another team – if it was a genuine competition Barner would be getting more snaps.

Another reason to have Watkins as the slot CB is you could give the offense different looks. Watkins could drop out of coverage as a S and either of our starting Ss could cover the slot WR or blitz the QB.

If your #3QB has to play more then a game or two, you are screwed!l.. But we have a stacked offense, Id bet chip could hide TEBOW for a game or two and have our weapons carry him to a win or two while another QB gets over a concussion or some other two week injury..
    ..
Heck with our run game, TEBOW can come in for 1 game, opponent won’t be prepared for him and we can have TEBOW and our 3headed RB monster just zone read teams for an entire game, set up occasional play action to pope Jordan,.. With our offense, TEBOW should be able to win us a game,
    ..
hopefully we can get a 7th rd pick for Barkley… If we can’t trae Barkley, No idea what to do.
    ..
My dream would be to trade for Mettenberger or Mike Glennon, worst case EJ Manuel
    ,,
Very dissapointed in Barkley. Year 3 in the same offense. I expect GROWTH and this is unacceptable.. Instead of building on solid command of the offense he displayed vs the Colts, he has been in a steady Nose dive since that colts game.. TEBOW learmed this offense like 4 months ago, Barkley should have completely outclassed him in year 3 of this offense, and that hasn’t been the case… I don’t Need barkley toBe great, but I need him to show grpwth, and this is unacceptable

Depends what they think of the 2 special teams mavens Prosinski and Maragos. If they can take safety reps incase of a injury to our starters i am all on board.

I like Coulin and DONT want to lose him because of his potential, but he doesn’t look ready to make the roster to me… Then again,I don’t really care if Reynolds or Couplin make it, but I think Renolds is definitely more ready to handle playing safety in an NFL game then Couplin is at this point….I disagree with Mayock, think 5 safeties are making it, Even tho Prosinski and MARAGOS make it hecause of ST play, not because of safety play, so I have Reynolds vs Couplim for 5th roster spot with loser going to practice squad for another yearR, I think Reynolds is more prepared to play in theNFL, but I don’t care too much which of the two is the 5th safety

  410. 410 ACViking said at 9:35 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Why would Barner make the final 53?

He’s behind Sproles and Huff as a returner.

And behind Sproles as a RB.

He’s not on the coverage units.

    Where’s the value?

  411. 411 Avery Greene said at 9:36 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

For me the value is in us being a running team. If you’re going to run the ball as much as I think we are, you want depth at the position. Add to that the depth he provides as a backup returner, and it’s just icing on the cake.

Damn right! What’s really shitty is he started the preseason showing solid command, Goimg thru is progressions, while TEBOW played like crap.. Instead of building on it, he Imploded… barkley has been in this Pffense for 3 years, it shouldn’t even be a close battle against TEBOW who learned the offense 5 months ago. Even if Barkley was slightly better, THATS a failure, he should have wiped the floor with a QB who just learned this offense in April…
    .
I have no doubts that Barkley is better, but how can you keep him when he couldn’t perform better then froggin TEBOW… I didn’t need barkley to be good, I needed him to show year 3 growth, he failed miserably

  459. 459 Avery Greene said at 9:51 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  461. 461 Avery Greene said at 9:58 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

  462. 462 anon said at 11:25 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I don’t think Timmy T needs to prove anything else. He just is what he is. You saw it in the 4rd quarter he’s really efficient when you mix the qb runs, the zone reads and some passes in. He’s not the guy that’s going to hang in the pocket and distribute. Realisy is no 3rd qb in the league can do that — if TT ever has to play you might as well have a scrambler who (a) won’t turn the ball over and (b) can get yards / score points.

Bradford looks awsome, sets NFL passing records and we got 14-2 in the regular season. Win game 1 easily against Dallas by 30 points of the playoffs. Then comes the championship game against green bay.

We shoot out to a big 14 point lead in the 1st half, but a dirty late hit concusses Bradford and he is out for the game. Sanchez comes in and moves the ball but the Packers quickly catch up with Rogers and and takes a 4 point lead with 1.56 left. Sanchez then gets drilled on first down gets injured.

Tebow comes in and leads a game winning drive with a 2 yard QB keeper with 10 seconds left.

Eagles are going to the superbowl but Bradford has not passed the concussion tests and Sanchez is out for the year.

Tebow is our starting QB in the superbowl……

    3) Bunche
    4) Denzel Rice
    5) Couplin, LIke the upside, but still too raw

Prosinski amd Maragos already can’t play safety but will make the roster for ST, so the winner of Coupln vs. reynolds will be who is more ready to.play safety in the NFL and Reynolds is clearly more game ready IMo

  557. 557 Ark87 said at 10:36 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

I think that’s a pretty good shot. The only place I really have no feel for how it will shake out is the Posinski Couplin Reynolds playing musical chairs with 2 chairs. I think Prosinski makes it. Other 2, again I was lazy this preseason, I really haven’t watched enough of the other 2 to get an idea of who has the edge.

Also possible Dennis Kelly hasn’t done enough to make the team, but then again don’t know if an other OL did

  568. 568 BlindChow said at 12:48 AM on September 4th, 2015:

No way. Every team has WR’s that aren’t flashy or exceptional. No one’s going to suddenly put Maehl on their 53.

  569. 569 RC5000 said at 10:42 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

Awesome job since I have same except Rusty Moffitt or some other OL instead of Tebow (though Chip could go Tebow). Mostert and/or Martino I hope over the average OL on PS.

  570. 570 Greg Richards said at 10:44 PM on September 3rd, 2015:

If you only keep 8 on the 53-man roster, you have to go heavy on the PS. Most teams like to have 11 OL between the 53-man roster and the PS so they have 5 reserves on the scout team against the defense plus one extra guy in case someone is nursing an injury and can’t practice. It doesn’t have to be the 3 guys I listed. They could sign an outside player.
