D-Day

This is a game the Eagles should win.
This is a game the Cowboys can win.
Let me repeat that last part…the Cowboys can win. Sure, they are missing some key parts, but they have a stud QB and other good players. This won’t be the Cleveland Browns out there.
Dak Prescott will need to play a great game on offense and then guys like David Irving and Demarcus Lawrence would need to make impact plays on defense. Those guys have combined for 17.5 sacks and 4 FFs this year. They can make big time plays.
In order for Prescott to play well, the OL has to play infinitely better than they did last week. Byron Bell will start at LT and that doesn’t bode well for Prescott. He’ll be better than Chaz Green, but Bell isn’t a natural LT.
Like I said, this is a game the Eagles should win.
I wrote more on the game for PE.com.

Update on the historically good Eagles run defense.
Opponents are passing on over 70% of plays against the Eagles, which has never happened in NFL history https://t.co/d5ViqC1NyG

If the Eagles shut down the Dallas run game and put the ball in Prescott’s hands, that will put even more pressure on him and the OL. Another advantage for the Eagles.
Sunset Shazz put together another outstanding piece on the Eagles, putting their run defense into context. They really are making teams one-dimensional and that has worked really well so far this year.

I want to make Dak Prescott look like Nathan Peterman.
ima bout to exxxxxxxxxxplode … ive got my hopes sofa king over selfhyped high and I know that eagles-loss Mondays are extra brutal that I am half over psyched, half worried nervous, half just over doooooo to see the green in action again!
Five picks? I like it!
This Raiders defense is garbage.
Del Rio is a super overrated HC, and he has assembled a terrible supporting staff around him. I dont watch them a lot, but apparently both their OC and DC are doing awful. Both look very true tonight.
It’s Brady. It is amazing to watch his do what he does at 40.
On pace for 5,000+ yards, 35 TDs, 4 INTs. He does that and he is the MVP again.
Lewis in the Sproles’ all-purpose role and one really decent WR (Cooks). Even Gronk isn’t the same elite caliber any more due to the injuries and normal wear & tear.
His game over the past few years is based on dinking and dunking with some seam passes to Gronk and the occasional deep ball. Couple that with playing in one of the worst divisions (not only this year but for most of his entire career).
Look at this cupcake schedule to end the season.

It’s cool that the Birds play so well that they’ll get a lot of prime time games, but man do I prefer the 1:00 time slot.
Edit: Except when the Ravens are playing at the same time because I apparently live in Ravens country.
I tried to convince myself I should go to bed and watch the game tomorrow but… yeah that’s not happening, not like I’d be able to sleep anyway!
I’m the exact opposite. It’s nice getting stuff done on weekends.
Technically teams are passing 68.62% of the time against the Eagles through 9 weeks. It’s 166 rushes and 529 passes. Teams rush 31.38% of the time. Basically 70/30 right? Maybe even more after tonight’s game.
Not sure where you got your data but does it count a sack as a run or pass?
Oh the data came from Pro Football Reference. Tommy’s article contained a tweet claiming teams throw 70% against the Eagles.
That’s an approximate number. The exact math is slightly less but very close.
I know it’s been said before, but Romo is an absolute pleasure to listen to. He’s just so damn entertaining. His insight is second to none.
Drew “Balls for days” Pearson was my favorite Cowboy, solely for for his draft stunt, but Romo has surpassed him and it’s not even close.
(I have a lot of respect for Witten too, but I hope he gets a 24hr virus that strikes right now.)
How ’bout them Cow Pokes?
Seriously man. I’m developing a serious man crush on Romo. Feel sick to my stomach about it
wow Ike Reese is great! so well spoken and insightful. I don’t get to see him a lot bbut he is better that many of the national pundits

Eagles fans are passing the time until kickoff with this ingenious trick (Do this!)

Cowboys fans hate it!
Anyone know if Tyron Smith is playing tonight?
Nope. No chance based on the team injury report from Friday.
Sal Paolantonio asked Doug Pederson what he told his team about facing a desperate Cowboys club. He texted back: 1. “We can’t worry about them. It’s about us.” 2. “I told them last night that our goal is to be 1-0 this week.” Tim McManus
Sal is a dick.
When you run defense is so good teams don’t even try…

Romo should call the game over that douche bag Collingsworth.
Bold prediction of the day
Cowgirls are going to quit at half time.
I have no fear that our offense can score points. I’m still weary on mid and deep balls thrown against our secondary.
Are you’re sure you’re not wary, Dave? Go Iggles.
No, I’m definitely feeling tired 😉
Ha, ha. Me too. It’s so hard to wait all Sunday for this game to start. And I would get tired too chasing mid and deep balls. You took it well, my friend.
