No shockers for the Eagles. Beatty and Ellerbe are new and still learning the playbook. Smallwood has fallen behind Clement and Ajayi.
All the drama about Tyron Smith is over. He is out. Lee and Heath are defensive starters that will miss the game.

I am curious to see how the Eagles defend Prescott the runner. He is good in short yardage, goal line and Red Zone situations. You have to account for him. The Eagles had some issues with Alex Smith and Cam Newton. They need to learn from that and play better against Dak.

I re-watched most of the game from Dallas last year. It is amazing how different Nelson Agholor is. He looks physically different. We certainly know he’s playing a lot better.
I will not miss watching Leodis McKelvin try to shut down Dez Bryant. What a mismatch.
Bennie Logan missed that game due to injury. You had Graham-Cox-Allen-Barwin as the starters. Smith-Vaeao-Curry were the backups. The DL is better and deeper this year. The Dallas OL has a major challenge ahead of them.

Looks like Darby is starting at RCB and Mills will remain at LCB.

When Darby has been on Bryant, the coverage is tight. With Mills, it is a comfortable cushion every time.
I am probably Mills biggest detractor on here yet. I just see a guy who is too slow to play outside and technique/experience can’t compensate.

One of the things that strikes me about Brady/Brees after watching each is how underpowered there arms are to Wentz right now but how much more damn accurate they are and how much better touch they have on the intermediate routes.
Brees in particular threw a deep ball today he had no business throwing that was underthrown and got picked early in the 1st quarter. If anything, Wentz overthrows that ball or put it on the sideline.
Brees also made a few throws today including 2 short ones to Ingram that Wentz would really struggle to make too.
Wentz’s accuracy seems to come and go. The Cowboys have been successful at discombobulating him in this game.

I had called this 27-23 earlier this week and figured the biggest reason the Eagles would win is because the Boys would struggle to outscore the Eagles.
Eagles’ season low is 20 points vs Chiefs. Still don’t think the Boys score more than 13 points this half but it is hard to see the Eagles putting 20 points up this half too.
Need a ‘win ugly’ game and a big play from the defense. Without Sproles, it takes away getting one from special teams especially on a punt.

No, genuinely most SB winning teams over the last 10 years have been running back committee’s.
Thinking about it, I think you’re right. The “lead back” type thing may be a thing of past.
Interestingly enough they talked about this in the Vikings game, the Vikings lost an absolute stud in Dalvin Cook, who was leading the league in rushing at the time, replaced him with the committee, and the team’s YPC and YPG actually went up. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll love to have him back next year. But the 1 back stuff is wildly overrated because it is so valuable in fantasy.
It’s not the first time it’s worked for the Eagles. The “three headed monster” of Duce, Buckhalter, and Westbrook was highly effective. The Patriots have won multiple Super Bowls using it.

Props to Doug for the halftime adjustments. Other than the first drive, the team wasn’t sharp in the first half, and the Cowboys D came out prepared for them and gave them trouble.
Pederson apparently reassessed over the break and came out with running plays that gashed the Cowboys’ aggressive tendencies and from there everything got easier.
It’s so nice to have a coach who not only can make in-game adjustments, but can be expected to on a weekly basis, and who consistently outcoaches the guy on the other sideline.
