Gameday – IND at PHI

I’m more excited for this game than the first two. I guess that is the impact that Carson Wentz has on all of us.

So who will be playing with him?

No surprises.

This means Corey Clement will play. He could be the workhorse RB, so to speak. No one will get a ton of carries. Josh Adams will play. It will be interesting to see if he plays on offense or is more for STs and emergency depth.

Jordan Matthews is active. We’ll have to wait and see how much he plays.

DE Josh Sweat is active for his first game. It would be awesome if the Eagles could have a lead in the 4th and work him in for some snaps.

It is raining. That means Wentz and the Eagles will have to deal with a slick field. I don’t see that as a huge concern, in terms of his health. Rain shouldn’t be too much of an issue for the passing game. Wind is usually more of a problem.

Catching a slick ball can be challenging so dropped passes are something to keep an eye on.

Tackling is going to be critical. The Eagles cannot let the Colts turn short throws into big gains. Defenders must rally to the ball.

That’s a lot of key players out for Indy. Neither team is anywhere close to healthy.

I give the advantage to the Eagles because of overall talent, but I don’t see this being an easy game.

Do remember to hold your breath every time a Colt comes within two feet of Wentz. I know I will…
