Gameday – PHI at JAX

Big game today. I’m glad we’ve got a 930am kickoff. I can’t wait for this thing to get started.

I want to see the Eagles come out and play well. Forget about last week, go win this game. Get to 4-4. Give yourselves a chance.

Haloti Ngata is back. That will help the play of the DTs. D.J. Alexander will play. That should help on STs. DE Josh Sweat is going to get the most action of his career. I’m interested to see if he can really contribute.

There could be a couple of X-factors for the offense. If Jalen Ramsey is going to shadow Alshon Jeffery and limit him, Nelson Agholor will need to have a big game. He’ll be facing backups so he needs to make plays. Safety Aaron Gipson is good in coverage against TEs. If he can slow down Zach Ertz, the Eagles will need Dallas Goedert to make some plays.

Big question for Jacksonville…what happens at QB? Blake Bortles got benched last week. He’s back as the starter, but will be on a short leash. How will that affect him? It could bring out the best in Bortles or it could have a negative impact and push him to play worse than usual.

The Eagles must come up with takeaways. JAX does not protect the ball well. There should be chances to make plays.

Did I mention this is a big game?
