Help Needed

Relying on others to help you out is no fun, but this is what happens when you have bad losses from early in the year. If the Eagles didn’t blow late leads against the Panthers or Titans, things are very different. But the Eagles did blow those games and now must root for the Bears to beat Minnesota.

The bad news? The one win from this year came against the Eagles. Ugh.
Cousins has struggled in his career to beat good teams. The Bears are 11-4 and have a very strong team. They will be without FS Eddie Jackson and WR Allen Robinson, but still have plenty of weapons.
As big a game as this will be for the Eagles, this is huge for Cousins and the Vikings. They brought him to Minnesota to win games like this. There will be real pressure on him. It will be interesting to see how he responds.
The Bears are still hoping they can win the #2 seed. They need to win and have the Rams lose to do that.

This news helps. The Rams will have a tougher time winning. The Eagles need the Rams game to stay close so that the Bears won’t pull their starters or let up.
Sunday could be fun. Or torturous. Or both.

Of course, none of this matters unless the Eagles beat the Skins.
The Eagles are facing some scrub QB so they should win. You could have also said that in 2010 when the team faced Joe Webb in a key game. Somehow the team lost (on a Tuesday night, no less) and Webb earned his place in Eagles infamy.
Josh Johnson has been functional in his three starts for the Skins. The Eagles will be glad to face anyone else after dealing with Deshaun Watson last week. Johnson is athletic, but not on the same level as Watson.
The Skins have been a thorn in the Eagles side in recent years so I hope the Eagles are completely focused on this game. Whatever happens with the Vikings, don’t worry about that. Beat the Skins. Do what you have to do and hope for the best in the other games.

No surprise here. Wallace hasn’t practiced yet. Could be back for the playoffs if the Eagles can pull that off.
The Eagles have missed his speed all year long. Shelton Gibson has been basically non-existent on offense.
