Even better, they did it in part due to an ugly Vikings loss.
Even better than that, the Eagles shut out the Skins, 24-0. I live for shutouts. The last one was in 2014. Before that you have to go all the way back to 1996. Seeing a goose egg on the scoreboard is just a beautiful thing.
The only downside is an injury to Nick Foles. The Eagles reported it as a chest injury. Then we got this update.
Eagles believe QB Nick Foles has bruised ribs and they think he’s OK, per source.

Nothing official from the team since the end of the game. Either way, this isn’t ideal. The Bears have a great defense. You don’t want your QB facing that group with a sore chest or ribs. We’ll talk more about that later. For now, enjoy a great Sunday.
Nate Sudfeld and Kirk Cousins threw the same number of TD passes today.
