So what happened?
Jalen Mills is on the PUP list. Ronald Darby is still working his way back from a torn ACL. And now Cre’Von LeBlanc is dealing with an injury.
Just saw Cre’Von LeBlanc with a walking boot, using a roll-a-bout. Seems like the injury is a serious one. #Eagles

Yikes. Just a couple of days ago, LeBlanc was practicing. Things change quickly in the NFL.
I'm told it's a foot injury for #Eagles corner Cre'Von LeBlanc, not catastrophic/season-ending or anything, but he's gonna hafta stay off it for a while.

LeBlanc is out for several weeks, possibly more. Once again, the secondary depth is being tested.
The Eagles added CB Alex Brown to help with practice reps. Signing Scandrick is a different story. He is a 10-year veteran with 76 career starts. Scandrick can play in the slot or outside. You add a player like him to compete for playing time. And Scandrick isn’t signing just anywhere. He’s going to want to go somewhere he’s got a chance to secure a roster spot.
The top three CBs right now are Avonte Maddox, Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones. All three are playing well so that’s encouraging. Young guys like Jay Liggins, Josh Hawkins and Jeremiah McKinnon are trying to prove themselves. Scandrick gives the Eagles a fourth CB with playing experience.
Darby will hopefully start to practice in the coming weeks. Mills and LeBlanc could be gone for a while.
The Eagles are okay for now, but any further injuries to CBs would hurt. Jim Schwartz will be crossing his fingers that these guys stay healthy and Darby keeps getting better.
