Game Preview – WAS at PHI

Are you ready for the 2019 season? Enough about Jadeveon Clowney, Antonio Brown and every other big name player on the market. We finally have an actual game to talk about. Lots of story lines in this one.

The return of Carson Wentz.

The Eagles open with a division rival.

From DeSean Jackson to Daeshon Hall, there will be new faces to watch (Daeshon was here last year, but barely played).

I wrote my preview for PE.com.

This is a game the Eagles should win. This is a game they need to win. If recent years hold true, the Eagles should prevail. Doug Pederson is 3-0 in season openers. The Eagles have won four straight games against Washington. That doesn’t guarantee you anything of course, but those are good trends.

We did have one bit of football business.

There were some rumors about the Eagles moving on from Jeffery. I’m guessing this deal is a way of making sure AJ knows he’s not going anywhere, while also giving the team a bit of cap help.

Great story.

This won’t make Jim Schwartz sad.
