No Sua Opeta???
I kid, I kid. Jalen Mills is the surprise. We knew he was banged up, but thought he would play. His ankle just isn’t right and the conditions will be sloppy today so the smart thing to do is sit him and hope for next week.
It will be interesting to see if Sidney Jones gets the start in his place or if they move Avonte Maddox outside and then play Jones or Cre’Von LeBlanc in the slot. Jones has rebuilt his confidence as a role player so there is an argument for playing him. The coaches are focused on winning, not evaluation. They’ll play the guys they think give them the best chance to win. This will tell us a lot about what they really think of Jones.
The Eagles will have four WRs today. Greg Ward, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Robert Davis and Deontay Burnett. With no Ertz, Carson Wentz may have to lean a bit more on his WRs.
Speaking of Ertz, more bad news.
Zach Ertz probably won’t be able to play in playoffs because of reported lacerated kidney, according to @ProFootballDoc https://t.co/v0JmBKeV0Z

Yikes. We’ll talk more about that this week. For now, let’s focus on the Giants.
Barring an amazing defensive performance, the Eagles are going to need to score points today. Do whatever it takes, Doug. Put Ward in the Wildcat. Have him throw a pass. Put Howard and Sanders in the backfield together. Get creative and find a way to score TDs.
Go win this game.
