Player Interest
Posted: April 12th, 2020 | Author: Tommy Lawlor | Filed under: Philadelphia Eagles | Comments Off on Player InterestNormally we spend April tracking Pro Days and visits and workouts. The goal is to find out which prospects the Eagles might have special interest in. That has changed in a major way this spring.
The Eagles did have a few visitors to NovaCare before the shutdown. Most of what we are hearing involves video chats.

The biggest takeaway from this…the Eagles are showing serious interest in early LB targets. I’m not pushing the idea that they’ll take a LB at 21, but the team seems to be focused on adding speed and talent at that position.
The Eagles are talking to good OT prospects. Does that mean they are hedging their bet with Andre Dillard? Maybe. The team could use a swing tackle, but you usually find that guy later in the draft.
I’m surprised the team is looking at highly rated DTs. That is a very deep position right now. Odd. Maybe Malik Jackson spends more time outside. Some have wondered if he might be cut or traded. Maybe the Eagles are just trying to see what’s out there.
I could see Jim Schwartz absolutely loving James Lynch. Lynch played DE in Baylor’s 3-4 and has a relentless motor. He can play DE or DT in the NFL. Lynch had 13.5 sacks and 3 FFs last year. He is highly disruptive.
Only a couple of more weeks until all the guessing is over.
