Gameday – PHI at CIN

Good morning Eagles fans. Are you ready to see this defense take on Joe Burrow and the Bengals? The big development for the morning is that WR Tee Higgins is out. He is second on the team in catches, yards and TDs so this is a big loss. The Eagles can now double Ja’Marr Chase more if they want to. The Bengals still have other weapons, but none as good as Higgins.

Rookie WR Ainais Smith, who was activated off IR on Saturday, is active in his first NFL game.

It will be interesting to see if Smith plays. The Eagles were high on him and excited to pick him, but Smith started very slow in camp and had to deal with injuries. I’m guessing he gets mixed in slowly.

I am going out on a limb and predicting the Eagles will finally score in the first quarter. It would be funny if it was the defense who got the points and the offense had to go on answering questions about slow starts.

I’m expecting another big day for Saquon Barkley. Let’s hope that results in enough points to beat the Bengals.
