    Colts owner Jim Irsay Sr. came down to the sidelines and fired head coach Howard Schnellenberger in middle of the game.

      Not to say McCoy isn’t effective, but BB is more of a take it to the house threat–he makes clear that Shady is a bit closer to pedestrian speed.

          No, he’s right. If you give Mccoy a guy to get around, he will probably get around him, but he doesn’t have the straightline speed to outrun a whole defense for a td

    Riley Cooper has trouble tracking long passes . . . not as bad as Nnamdi.

    But he’s not the answer to our “Big WR” prayers.

      Riley’s development has been hurt by erratic QB play. I’m not sure what to think of him.

        He doesn’t have good ball instincts. Virtually the only time he ever had a good non-bangbang pass play was that catch from Kolb vs the Titans… And not to be all Al Davis, but the boy ain’t fast enough. The combination of low speed and poor ball skillz is a killer.

    so when you write your detailed retrospective of the Andy Reid error and what went wrong – do you start with the 2009 moves, focus on playing fantasy football in FA two years ago, or did the seeds of this collapse start earlier, the loss of jj?

    After reading all about Chip Kelly the last few days, I started to wonder…what if he turned down the Tampa Bay job, and in turn would be more interested in the Philly job, because of the running back situation?

    I mean, we’re putting all this emphasis on the QB situation. But last year, Tampa Bay was pretty mediocre in the RB area. Chip Kelly loves to run the ball. Maybe our stable of running backs will be what he finds most enticing if he comes here?

    Dunno, just trying to keep my spirits up during the game.

    This secondary is shockingly bad and it wouldn’t stun me if they have 4 new starters (2 safeties and 2 CBs) next year.

    Defense is by far and away the biggest challenge the incoming coach will have to fix because there isn’t a lot of young building blocks there (besides Cox and Graham and maybe you throw in Kendricks & Boykins) and little holdover veteran talent capable of playing at a high level next year. Nnamdi’s gone. Ditto Jenkins. I expect they don’t bring back DRC after his play and effort this year. Cole had a really down year.
