Rookie Jaiquawn Jarrett is active for the first time.  It would be great if he would make his presence known on STs.

A couple of Niners notes…Adam Snyder will start at RG.  Too bad.  I was hoping we’d get Rachal since he was so awful last week.  RB Kendall Hunter will start over Frank Gore.  Mixed feelings.  Hunter is a rookie, but he’s healthy.

Let’s go kick some butt.

I think I found a link to watch a stream of the game online. I think, I hope. I hope, I think. Otherwise, it’d be the first time I haven’t watched the Eagles live in like 12 years. Fingers crossed.

Is Tapp’s issue still his pectoral? Such a damn shame. The way he played against St. Louis, I remember my Dad and I glancing at eachother and thinking, “this guy could get 8-10 sacks in the wide-9 this year.”

And I want to see Jarrett absolutely destroy Ted Ginn on a return. Get some of that Temple/Toledo anger out of your system on an Ohio native.

They’re being cautious with Tapp. We need him for the long run. I am looking forward to his return.

    Let’s just win. Please.

nice to see Jarret active. we need better safety play and hopefully it means he’s progressing. What do we make of Watkins still not dressing?? disturbing

Kammich, I have a site that has every NFL game every week. Not always the greatest quality but beggars can’t be choosers. Let me know if you want it, idk how Tommy feels about technically illegal sites being posted

  6. 6 Anonymous said at 5:02 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I would greatly appreciate it, man. I don’t care about quality, just wanna be able to see the game.

And, yeah, I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. My email is TimBJennings@hotmail.com if you just wanted to shoot me an e-mail.

    Again, thanks

You wanna forward that to Arno for me, kammich?

  11. 11 Eric Weaver said at 5:04 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

DeSean’s really earning that contract. If he can’t make catches in single coverage, what good is he?

  12. 12 Eric Weaver said at 5:06 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    There’s Morton’s other guy, Navarro.

  15. 15 Anonymous said at 5:13 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

And Allen on the recovery, dividends already from the changes.

  16. 16 Eric Weaver said at 5:09 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

1 game started, Rolle already has more turnovers than the other linebackers combined, right?

  17. 17 Anonymous said at 5:10 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Brian Rolle!! Looks like an incomplete pass.

p.s. Chaney just made a horrible attempt at a tackle.

  18. 18 Zachary said at 5:15 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Early it’s looking like more of the same. The middle of our defense is just so bad. So so bad.

  19. 19 Michael said at 5:15 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

at what point do start the protests at the NovaCare to fire Castillo?

  20. 20 Anonymous said at 5:19 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Dude u give the guy garbage at LB & safety, what do u expect. Chaney & Page both looked embarrassing tackles.

  21. 21 Septhinox said at 5:24 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

You don’t think he had some input there?

  22. 22 Anonymous said at 5:17 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Jarad Page ladies & gents on that missed tackle! Can we just see what Jarret has? Can’t hurt.

  23. 23 Anonymous said at 5:17 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Eagles D is off to an ugly start, but Brian Rolle is impressing.

  24. 24 Anonymous said at 5:20 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

We have a chance today as long as we have the little ball of hate.

  25. 25 Anonymous said at 5:21 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

One drive and Brian rolle has been mentioned more times in a positive way than our other lbs have all season. We still have given up a long run though

  26. 26 Zachary said at 5:18 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I mean I guess we gotta be happy we’re going agianst John Harbaugh. I know if I was coaching agianst this Philly team, I’d run up the gut all day. I don’t think they can stop anyone….

  27. 27 Zachary said at 5:21 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

That contract is starting to worry me. Mike’s been a turnover machine in 2011.

  28. 28 Anonymous said at 5:23 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Vick isn’t looking great so far. DeSean should have caught the ball to open the game, but the ball was under-thrown.

  29. 29 Anonymous said at 5:23 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    Jesus this team!

  30. 30 Jon Blank said at 5:23 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    Andrew Luck here we come.

  31. 31 Eric Weaver said at 5:29 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    I could only wish.

  32. 32 Anonymous said at 5:23 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

At least we know Rolle can play

  33. 33 Anonymous said at 5:31 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Yeah, he’s showing that he deserved the job. And it was good to see the whole defense wake up on that drive. We need more of that.

  34. 34 Zachary said at 5:24 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    We haven’t won a TO battle yet this year have we? 1:1 PHI:STL, 3:2 ATL:PHI, 3:0 NYG:PHI

  35. 35 Anonymous said at 5:31 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

How many free yards have we been given this year just by having DeSean stand back there and watch punts go out of bounds? Not much injury risk in that.

  36. 36 Anonymous said at 5:38 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Very true. I wonder if he studies tape of Devin Hester watching punts go out of bounds to pick up tips.

  37. 37 Anonymous said at 5:36 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I’m sick of Vick and his turnovers. If he can’t take care of the ball, then he needs to be benched.

  38. 38 Anonymous said at 5:38 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

How about now? Great job on the TD play.

  39. 39 Zachary said at 5:41 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Best play calling and execution on a drive this year IMO. Sure my memory might just be 10 seconds, but we mixed it up nicely and Vick didn’t force anything on that drive…as far as I could tell

  40. 40 Anonymous said at 5:43 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Very nice play. Still, his turnovers have killed us the past two weeks. He needs to protect the ball.

  41. 41 Anonymous said at 5:36 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

GREAT to see Harbor getting worked into the gameplan.

  42. 42 Anonymous said at 5:37 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

That’s the kind of play only Vick can make. Wow

  43. 43 Anonymous said at 5:41 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

His highs are high. Let’s hope that’s the only Houdini act he has to use today.

  44. 44 Anonymous said at 5:40 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I bet I am not the only one who had that chalked up as a sack at the snap. But I guess a TD is okay too.

  45. 45 Eric Weaver said at 5:42 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Kelce looks to be doing a fair job so far today, Tommy.

  46. 46 Zachary said at 5:43 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I’d like to see the defense make a stop after a scoring drive.

  47. 47 Zachary said at 5:43 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Looking like I’m gonna be asking too much from this god awful group.

  48. 48 Zachary said at 5:44 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Inside the red zone – lets see this.

  49. 49 Anonymous said at 5:47 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Hold ’em to a FG and we’re okay.

  50. 50 Anonymous said at 5:46 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Vernon Davis is a match-up nightmare today. I hope we focus on him entirely and force Ginn and Crabtree to beat us.

  51. 51 Anonymous said at 5:47 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Fokou is playing much better at SAM than he did at WIL.

  52. 52 Zachary said at 5:48 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

A red zone stop? I can’t believe it.

  53. 53 Anonymous said at 5:48 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Has babin had a sack in each of our 4 games?

  54. 54 Anonymous said at 5:51 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Yep. And two against STL, if memory serves.

  55. 55 Anonymous said at 5:50 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Are my eyes deceiving me or was that a red zone stop?

  56. 56 Zachary said at 5:52 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Wow – back to back shockers – red zone hold, and a deep ball? wow.

  57. 57 Anonymous said at 5:54 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

One thing that hasnt really been mentioned lately is our oline is giving Vick solid time to throw.

  58. 58 Anonymous said at 5:56 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Remind me not to say something positive about our team. Clearly I jinxed them on that play.

  59. 59 Anonymous said at 5:55 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Morton’s gonna get a Navarro Boner.

  60. 60 the guy said at 5:57 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Am I crazy, or were they just checking out his *left* hand? Make it not so.

  61. 61 Anonymous said at 5:57 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

That trainer must be confused. He was checking Vick’s left hand. His left hand is fine. Right? RIGHT?

  62. 62 Anonymous said at 5:59 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I wondered why Vick gave his hurt hand to the LB when he was helped up. Hopefully the left hand was just sore after the hit from the play before.

  63. 63 Anonymous said at 6:00 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Defense is due for a turnover. This series please.

  64. 64 Anonymous said at 6:04 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

3 and out will do. followed by a 33 yd punt.

  65. 65 Anonymous said at 6:03 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Nice to see Nnamdi covering Vernon Davis. Don’t know if that was just zone or what, but it worked.

  66. 66 Anonymous said at 6:04 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I really am surprised that they are that afraid to kick to DeSean

  67. 67 Anonymous said at 6:09 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I actually agree, he’s a dangerous returner but last year he only had one for TD, if I’m not mistaken

  68. 68 Anonymous said at 6:08 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I think Andy/Marty have decided that they used up a couple weeks worth of run plays last week, gotta make up for it today.

  69. 69 Zachary said at 6:08 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Part of the game plan to work Harbor in more? I’m liking it. Size/Speed combo could create mismatches

  70. 70 the guy said at 6:08 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I wonder what percentage of penalties come against the Eagles on 3rd down?

Seems to happen on both offense and defense.

  71. 71 klc said at 6:09 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

clay harbour is having a huge game

  72. 72 Michael said at 6:10 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

was Brown seriously trying to pass that?? cut him at halftime….

  73. 73 Zachary said at 6:11 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Why do we gotta get cute. I know McCoy may dance, but he’s our best player, our best runner. Give him the ball on the goal line.

What the fuck was Brown thinking? And why did Reid challenge that?

  74. 74 Anonymous said at 6:12 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    Your 2011 Philadelphia Eagles folks.

  75. 75 Anonymous said at 6:12 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I beg for more Ronnie Brown goalline touches last week, and this is what he does to us. Pain!

  76. 76 Anonymous said at 6:13 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

And who was that blogger hack pushing for the same thing? He should be forced to use dial-up for the next 5 years.

  77. 77 Eric Weaver said at 6:12 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Tommy, why are they pulling DeVan on a goalline play? Just run forward. I just don’t get this. It’s the same nonsense week after week. If you have to pull guards one yard from the end zone or run gadget plays, then you’re saying your team is incapable of just lining up and getting those yards.

  78. 78 Jon Blank said at 6:12 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

So I guess that’s why the Eagles don’t like to use Ronnie Brown goal line. That was the dumbest play I have ever seen.

  79. 79 Michael said at 6:13 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Tommy how can AR seriously be this bad at calling plays at the goalline?? is it scheme? execution??

  80. 80 Virgile - Bubqr said at 6:13 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

OK, now that’s some voodoo magic, or a zombie ate Ronnie Brown’s brains. I just don’t get it.

  81. 81 Zachary said at 6:14 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    Tommy,

Another week in here – you still thinking we shouldn’t give McCoy the short yardage touches? I mean I swear he should be only option.

  82. 82 Anonymous said at 6:16 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    To borrow from Bill Callahan:
“We have to be the stupidist team in America.”

  83. 83 ike said at 6:20 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

For a team that can’t score from the half-yard line, WHY DOESN’T REID CHALLENGE THE CALL ON McCOY?!

  84. 84 Anonymous said at 6:20 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

All of the LBs are playing better…sans, the first couple of big runs. Even those plays looked like the result of the DEs getting up field and creating the running lanes. Brian Rolle vs. Casey Matthews … not even close. WTF is up with goal line offense? We give it Ronnie Brown…good job. But the O-line is built on finesse. We’re not going to power anybody off the ball. We need to spread the field down there and run some quick hitters, qb draws, whatever. Good game for Clay Harbor.

Clean tackle, wrapped Vick up in bounds and finished the play.

  85. 85 Anonymous said at 6:20 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

May be a turning point here. If we can score, confidence may grow for the next few weeks.

  86. 86 ike said at 6:22 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

On Brown’s fumble, anyone see DeVan pushed 4 yards back — just like last week.

    Watkins must SUCK!!!

  87. 87 Eric Weaver said at 6:26 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    He was pulling.

  88. 88 ike said at 6:23 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

    Yes . . . holding on DeVan — and it doesn’t help.

    SUCKS!!

    Watkins SUCKS

  89. 89 Zachary said at 6:24 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Wow, we sure know how to put the ball in the end zone.

  90. 90 Anonymous said at 6:26 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

The RZ offense is really struggling. A few people said Celek was wide open and Vick just missed him.

  91. 91 Eric Weaver said at 6:24 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

3rd and 9 and they don’t run any routes around the sticks? It makes no sense.

  92. 92 ike said at 6:27 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

The media’s been hinting that Kolb should have been kept and Vick . . . well, who knows.

Kolb would — just like last year — be dead behind this line.

    And Kyle DeVan . . . HORRIBLE.

So Danny Watkins . . . NOT NFL MATERIAL!!!

  93. 93 Anonymous said at 6:30 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

It just seems as if the offense is just missing. Maybe a few scores here will light the fire. Plus, SF is god awful.

  98. 98 Eric Weaver said at 6:32 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

Vick needs to throw the ball in the end zone. Not 5 yards out.

  99. 99 Eric Weaver said at 6:32 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

  104. 104 the guy said at 6:52 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I think he was trying to settle down his offense before going into the locker room, especially his QB. May not be a totally bad idea, since the years have shown simply yelling at Alex Smith isn’t going to get it done.

  105. 105 Anonymous said at 6:54 PM on October 2nd, 2011:

I just cant believe we lost to the goddamn Niners by giving up 21 unanswered 2nd half points. Not even blaming this on the rookie kicker – at all.

Vick hits a CAREER HIGH in passing yards and we lose…to Tiny Hands. Just disgusted with this defense.
