with dion lewis dressing today, who is the primary backup? him or brown?
3 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:05 PM on October 7th, 2012:
already saw brown in the game, i guess he got the spot.
4 iskar36 said at 1:07 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Brown is definitely the primary backup, but I’d like to see Lewis get a couple carries as well.

Let’s go Birds!!
6 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:03 PM on October 7th, 2012:
once again, would have been better to take the touchback…
7 iskar36 said at 1:06 PM on October 7th, 2012:
At some point, you have to wonder how much of our ST struggles are on April? I certainly don’t give the players a pass, but are we also struggling scheme wise?
8 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:07 PM on October 7th, 2012:
i cant imagine it is just the returner, but more of a group problem….
9 iskar36 said at 1:09 PM on October 7th, 2012:
When I said “players” I was referring to both the returners as well as the blockers, but yea. I think there are a few things going wrong.
10Corry Henry said at 1:04 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Good to see Havili on the field to start.
11 TommyLawlor said at 1:11 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Definitely good.
12Corry Henry said at 1:07 PM on October 7th, 2012:
And obligatory false start…
13 lilmc said at 1:07 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Bell is killing us.
14 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:11 PM on October 7th, 2012:
can’t blame herremans on that play too much… can’t block two guys. seems like more of a miscommunication along the OL somehow.
15 TommyLawlor said at 1:11 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Yeah…and you have to credit PIT. Blitz is designed to confuse. They work sometimes.
16 iskar36 said at 1:14 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Is that on Watkins or on Vick/Reyonlds for not making the proper line adjustments?
17 TommyLawlor said at 1:12 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I wanted points, but still liked the drive. Ran the ball. Converted a 3rd down. Vick and the OL can have some confidence after that.
18 bdbd20 said at 1:13 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I like what I’ve seen so far. Calm, controlled. Could have completed that 3rd down pass, but things appear to be open.
19 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:15 PM on October 7th, 2012:
nice D on their opening drive!
20 iskar36 said at 1:15 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Nnamdi looked good on that stop. He saw it immediately.
21 Baloophi said at 1:18 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Yikes
22 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:18 PM on October 7th, 2012:
did NOT like that decision there from vick. he just threw that one up for grabs…
23 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:18 PM on October 7th, 2012:
and threw it across the field, no less…
24 iskar36 said at 1:18 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Eek. That was ugly. Can’t throw it up for grabs like that.
25 TommyLawlor said at 1:20 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I thought he was trying to throw it away and just didn’t get enough on the ball.
26 iskar36 said at 1:22 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Oh, you’re absolutely right about that. I don’t question that. But Vick has to get it WAAAAAY further out of bounds.
27Corry Henry said at 1:19 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Ugh…
28David Roberts said at 1:19 PM on October 7th, 2012:
of course
29 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:19 PM on October 7th, 2012:
maclin, you gotta get that ball. i dont care if you think the play is over.
Oh wait, challenges on turnover are automatic. Yay!
34 TommyLawlor said at 1:21 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Still, needs to slide there. No risk.
35 iskar36 said at 1:25 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Agreed.
36 Baloophi said at 1:20 PM on October 7th, 2012:

38 lilmc said at 1:23 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Osi pissed off another running back!
39 Baloophi said at 1:22 PM on October 7th, 2012:
This is twice that Vick has taken off at the first sign of pressure… I wonder if this was a point of emphasis this week?
40 bdbd20 said at 1:23 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I like the call of a fumble. Automatically reviewed. Good job by refs.
41Corry Henry said at 1:23 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Glad they review all turnovers, but when the ball is loose, you cannot stand there and just watch.
42 iskar36 said at 1:25 PM on October 7th, 2012:
That’s not an easy grab, and we got the PI call, but I want to see Maclin come up with that catch.
43 Baloophi said at 1:25 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Troy Aikman: “I don’t know about that one.” – as the video shows Ike Taylor grabbing Maclin’s arms (plural).
44 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:26 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I expect some amount of hands going on in there, but when you swat at the receivers arms before the ball gets there, its a flag.
45 phillychuck said at 1:28 PM on October 7th, 2012:
To be fair, Maclin grabbed him first.
46Corry Henry said at 1:26 PM on October 7th, 2012:

48 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:27 PM on October 7th, 2012:
this one looks like a fumble to me…
49 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:28 PM on October 7th, 2012:
it looks like whoever was running in front of vick blocked the wrong guy? i dunno.
50 iskar36 said at 1:29 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I don’t care if all 11 Steelers hit Vick at the same time, hold on to the ball!

55 TommyLawlor said at 1:29 PM on October 7th, 2012:
He does kill me at times.
56 phillychuck said at 1:28 PM on October 7th, 2012:
How can you win in the NFL when your QB has the IQ of a rock? Two fumbles in two carries, only saved by a lucky break on the first one.
57 DarthBanner said at 1:29 PM on October 7th, 2012:
With a decent QB that wasn’t a turnover machine the Eagles could be dangerous.
58 bdbd20 said at 1:29 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Just wow. That’s on Andy. Why do you even call that play on 1st down?
59 Baloophi said at 1:30 PM on October 7th, 2012:
He finally listens to criticism for not running that play last week and then gets burned with it here. Out of curiosity, can anyone recall a McCoy run inside the 10 yard line this season?
60 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:31 PM on October 7th, 2012:
he had three tries inside the 5 last week and couldnt punch it in.
61 Baloophi said at 1:32 PM on October 7th, 2012:
But didn’t fumble, right?
62 A_T_G said at 1:29 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I guess it is good we didn’t run that against NY last week.
63 TommyLawlor said at 1:30 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Never mind, they finally showed the shove on Tapp. stupid
69 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:33 PM on October 7th, 2012:
omg tapp…. you gotta play smarter than that!
70 iskar36 said at 1:34 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Did anyone see what Tapp did? If it was the hit on the QB, that’s a bad call in my opinion, but if it was something later than that, that’s really dumb by Tapp.
71 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:35 PM on October 7th, 2012:
after that, he pushed an OL. just a shove, but very late after the play. dont give the refs an excuse to throw the flag on that one.
72 iskar36 said at 1:36 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Real dumb
73 A_T_G said at 1:35 PM on October 7th, 2012:

STUPID
75Corry Henry said at 1:38 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Yeah, beginning to see it’s time to see what Curry can do. At least when he has a dumb penalty we could chalk it up to immaturity (not excuse it mind you).
76 bdbd20 said at 1:36 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Please decline the penalty, Andy. Don’t be a moron.
77Corry Henry said at 1:36 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Jenkins just got tackled.
78 iskar36 said at 1:38 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I’m not a fan of the repunt. Damaris Johnson has not done much positive in the return game and we risk pinning ourselves further back.
79 iskar36 said at 1:38 PM on October 7th, 2012:
We gained 10 yards, so it worked, so i was wr.. wro… not correct.
80Corry Henry said at 1:39 PM on October 7th, 2012:
haha nice…
81 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:39 PM on October 7th, 2012:
lol was just about to say that. good call in the end. and we still can’t cover anybody on punts. granted, the kick was short so i dont know how much we *could* have block on it lol
82 bdbd20 said at 1:40 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I liked the decision. Take a chance at some better field position. Worst case, try to get a touchback.
83Corry Henry said at 1:41 PM on October 7th, 2012:
This game is turning into which team can make the least amount of boneheaded plays. So far the Eagles are losing by virtue of 1 turnover to 0.

96 bdbd20 said at 1:43 PM on October 7th, 2012:
So, who’s gonna score this TD for Pitt? Wallace, Miller, or Brown?
97 DTrainExpress said at 1:43 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Can we please end the Mike Vick Experiment? His brief run in 2010 was a fluke, this is him, he sucks.
98 TommyLawlor said at 1:43 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I really don’t know what to say about Vick right now. The turnovers are killing us. I don’t think Reid wants to pull him, but man…you just can’t keep doing that. We’re only 1 Qtr into this game.
99 iskar36 said at 1:46 PM on October 7th, 2012:
At some point, AR will be forced to send a message to Vick. He has been waaay to loose with the football throughout the season.
100Thorin McGee said at 1:47 PM on October 7th, 2012:
All year. It’s been like this all year. Vick has cost us more points than he’s scored. Perhaps twice as many.
101Corry Henry said at 1:43 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Don’t fuckin’ pat him on the back when he’s walking off the field. Grab a hold of him and forcibly remove his head from his ass!

Weren’t we moving the ball with safe passes and runs? Stop scrambling!
103 lilmc said at 1:44 PM on October 7th, 2012:

105Thorin McGee said at 1:44 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Vick is killing us today.
106 iskar36 said at 1:44 PM on October 7th, 2012:
1st quarter, Vick has thrown it up for grabs once (DeSean made a good play to make sure the defender did not catch it cleanly in bounds), fumbled once in the redzone, once in our own territory, and got lucky he kicked someone after diving face first on what easily could have been a 3rd fumble.
107 Crus57 said at 1:45 PM on October 7th, 2012:
If it was a RB who had just committed those fumbles, he’d not see the field for weeks.
108 GermanEagle said at 1:45 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Timmons with a monster game so far!
109 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:46 PM on October 7th, 2012:
D had that screen very well covered.
110 phillychuck said at 1:46 PM on October 7th, 2012:
You’d have to be a complete idiot right now not to lay the blame on Vick for completely sabotaging this game. Vick is what he is, an athletic, QB who can’t read defenses and takes lots of unnecessary risks. You can’t win a SB with that kind of crap.
111 ACViking said at 1:46 PM on October 7th, 2012:
T-Law:
The Eagles–all by themselves–are making putting Timmons on the All Pro team along with Daryl Washington at LB

Vick’s throwing the ball better, but … TURNOVERS!
121 TommyLawlor said at 1:49 PM on October 7th, 2012:
That is helping us.
122 phillychuck said at 1:48 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Jenkins was held badly on the 4th down play, too.
123 DTrainExpress said at 1:49 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I thought that was incredibly blatant. But I’ll take it not being called.
124Thorin McGee said at 1:49 PM on October 7th, 2012:
We weren’t taken that even if they called it, though.
125 DarthBanner said at 1:48 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Honestly, perhaps the best thing that could happen to the Eagles would be a Vick injury.
126 A_T_G said at 1:49 PM on October 7th, 2012:
You know, this has to be pretty demoralizing for the Steelers.
127 TommyLawlor said at 1:49 PM on October 7th, 2012:

137 DTrainExpress said at 1:53 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Come on, a WR only needs one arm.
138 iskar36 said at 1:52 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I’m not a fan of that throw. DeSean was blanketed in double coverage. The was a lot riskier of a throw than I would have liked right now.
139 GermanEagle said at 1:54 PM on October 7th, 2012:
That was pass interference!
140 iskar36 said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Yea, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was double coverage with DeSean blanketed.
141Thorin McGee said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:
It also looked like DeSean had stopped running.
142 dropscience said at 1:52 PM on October 7th, 2012:
He held on!
143 Andrew Moore said at 1:53 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Of course we’re totally dominating every phase of this game except the point scoring part.
We’ll probably wait just long enough for the Steelers to get their act together then we’ll start playing. You know, when you’re on the road, you don’t want to score too early, or take the crowd out of the game or anything. Also, it’s good if you can spot the other team 10 or 14 points, otherwise it’s just not sporting. I’ve been a Vick supporter, but I’m really starting to hate the turnovers. Not sure if I can take it much longer.
144 ACViking said at 1:53 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Timmons and Washington . . . All Pro.
Who else do we play in the 3-4 defense?
145 Baloophi said at 1:53 PM on October 7th, 2012:
3rd and 12, your QB has fumbled three times, so you… call a QB draw. Smart.
146 iskar36 said at 1:54 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Exactly what I was thinking.
147 Crus57 said at 1:54 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Maybe they’re subtly trying to get Vick injured..
148 TheRogerPodacter said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:
i have a hard time imagining that being a called QB draw with the problems vick has been having…
149 Baloophi said at 1:58 PM on October 7th, 2012:
And yet, there it was! (the OL was all running down the field with the WR’s blocking)
150 DarthBanner said at 1:54 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Maybe on 3rd and 13 we shouldn’t be calling a QB draw with the fumble machine.
151 TommyLawlor said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:
I don’t like that call at all. I did like the QB draw at the GL.
152Thorin McGee said at 1:54 PM on October 7th, 2012:
Hold on, since when is illegal hands to the face not illegal on running downs?
153 A_T_G said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:
You know, if Timmons and Vick collide and both have to leave the game, we win by 42.
154 ACViking said at 1:55 PM on October 7th, 2012:

LET’S GO BIRDS!
with dion lewis dressing today, who is the primary backup? him or brown?
already saw brown in the game, i guess he got the spot.
Brown is definitely the primary backup, but I’d like to see Lewis get a couple carries as well.
Let’s go Birds!!
once again, would have been better to take the touchback…
At some point, you have to wonder how much of our ST struggles are on April? I certainly don’t give the players a pass, but are we also struggling scheme wise?
i cant imagine it is just the returner, but more of a group problem….
When I said “players” I was referring to both the returners as well as the blockers, but yea. I think there are a few things going wrong.
Good to see Havili on the field to start.
Definitely good.
And obligatory false start…
Bell is killing us.
can’t blame herremans on that play too much… can’t block two guys. seems like more of a miscommunication along the OL somehow.
Yeah…and you have to credit PIT. Blitz is designed to confuse. They work sometimes.
Is that on Watkins or on Vick/Reyonlds for not making the proper line adjustments?
I wanted points, but still liked the drive. Ran the ball. Converted a 3rd down. Vick and the OL can have some confidence after that.
I like what I’ve seen so far. Calm, controlled. Could have completed that 3rd down pass, but things appear to be open.
nice D on their opening drive!
Nnamdi looked good on that stop. He saw it immediately.
Yikes
did NOT like that decision there from vick. he just threw that one up for grabs…
and threw it across the field, no less…
Eek. That was ugly. Can’t throw it up for grabs like that.
I thought he was trying to throw it away and just didn’t get enough on the ball.
Oh, you’re absolutely right about that. I don’t question that. But Vick has to get it WAAAAAY further out of bounds.
Ugh…
of course
maclin, you gotta get that ball. i dont care if you think the play is over.
He just stood there!!!
His foot hit the defender. AR needs to challenge.
Turnovers are automatic reviews this season.
Oh wait, challenges on turnover are automatic. Yay!
Still, needs to slide there. No risk.
Agreed.
Just ask Eli why we don’t dive head first.
Giants have the Browns just where they want them.
Osi pissed off another running back!
This is twice that Vick has taken off at the first sign of pressure… I wonder if this was a point of emphasis this week?
I like the call of a fumble. Automatically reviewed. Good job by refs.
Glad they review all turnovers, but when the ball is loose, you cannot stand there and just watch.
That’s not an easy grab, and we got the PI call, but I want to see Maclin come up with that catch.
Troy Aikman: “I don’t know about that one.” – as the video shows Ike Taylor grabbing Maclin’s arms (plural).
I expect some amount of hands going on in there, but when you swat at the receivers arms before the ball gets there, its a flag.
To be fair, Maclin grabbed him first.
Holy shit.
Are you effing kidding me! Hold on to the god damn football!!!
this one looks like a fumble to me…
it looks like whoever was running in front of vick blocked the wrong guy? i dunno.
I don’t care if all 11 Steelers hit Vick at the same time, hold on to the ball!
You cannot be serious
This is bananas. Anyone think we’ll miss those 7 points later???
Sometimes, I really hate Michael Vick
I just said the same thing.
He does kill me at times.
How can you win in the NFL when your QB has the IQ of a rock? Two fumbles in two carries, only saved by a lucky break on the first one.
With a decent QB that wasn’t a turnover machine the Eagles could be dangerous.
Just wow. That’s on Andy. Why do you even call that play on 1st down?
He finally listens to criticism for not running that play last week and then gets burned with it here. Out of curiosity, can anyone recall a McCoy run inside the 10 yard line this season?
he had three tries inside the 5 last week and couldnt punch it in.
But didn’t fumble, right?
I guess it is good we didn’t run that against NY last week.
Might just be.
Can’t win with #7
Cedric Thorton doing some work
So the boneheaded eagles came to play.
What the heck was that phantom call
Never mind, they finally showed the shove on Tapp. stupid
omg tapp…. you gotta play smarter than that!
Did anyone see what Tapp did? If it was the hit on the QB, that’s a bad call in my opinion, but if it was something later than that, that’s really dumb by Tapp.
after that, he pushed an OL. just a shove, but very late after the play. dont give the refs an excuse to throw the flag on that one.
Real dumb
I’m starting to wonder why he sees the field.
Daryl Tapp has committed a *STUPID* personal foul in almost every game since the 2nd preseason game.
STUPID
Yeah, beginning to see it’s time to see what Curry can do. At least when he has a dumb penalty we could chalk it up to immaturity (not excuse it mind you).
Please decline the penalty, Andy. Don’t be a moron.
Jenkins just got tackled.
I’m not a fan of the repunt. Damaris Johnson has not done much positive in the return game and we risk pinning ourselves further back.
We gained 10 yards, so it worked, so i was wr.. wro… not correct.
haha nice…
lol was just about to say that. good call in the end. and we still can’t cover anybody on punts. granted, the kick was short so i dont know how much we *could* have block on it lol
I liked the decision. Take a chance at some better field position. Worst case, try to get a touchback.
This game is turning into which team can make the least amount of boneheaded plays. So far the Eagles are losing by virtue of 1 turnover to 0.
No turnovers Vick!
Fuck!!!!
oh wait.
Let’s see another methodical drive, that ends in 7 this time. For us.
Un. Fucking. Real.
HOLY SHIT! REALLY?! REALLY, VICK?1 REALLY?!
COME ON!!!!!
Foles, please.
Have no choice. Vick has no-showed
Aikman – “Trying to protect the ball”
Really? With one hand? Get both hands down!
Carrying the ball in the wrong arm. If he had thrown the ball on time, he wouldn’t have to scramble with it anyway.
Vick picked a bad time to get his gloves sponsored by Teflon.
So, who’s gonna score this TD for Pitt? Wallace, Miller, or Brown?
Can we please end the Mike Vick Experiment? His brief run in 2010 was a fluke, this is him, he sucks.
I really don’t know what to say about Vick right now. The turnovers are killing us. I don’t think Reid wants to pull him, but man…you just can’t keep doing that. We’re only 1 Qtr into this game.
At some point, AR will be forced to send a message to Vick. He has been waaay to loose with the football throughout the season.
All year. It’s been like this all year. Vick has cost us more points than he’s scored. Perhaps twice as many.
Don’t fuckin’ pat him on the back when he’s walking off the field. Grab a hold of him and forcibly remove his head from his ass!
Weren’t we moving the ball with safe passes and runs? Stop scrambling!
Vick has no recognition of pressure.
Maybe they can project the feed of the game onto his visor…
Vick is killing us today.
If it was a RB who had just committed those fumbles, he’d not see the field for weeks.
Timmons with a monster game so far!
D had that screen very well covered.
You’d have to be a complete idiot right now not to lay the blame on Vick for completely sabotaging this game. Vick is what he is, an athletic, QB who can’t read defenses and takes lots of unnecessary risks. You can’t win a SB with that kind of crap.
T-Law:
The Eagles–all by themselves–are making putting Timmons on the All Pro team along with Daryl Washington at LB
I just think he’s on fire today. They could be blocking him better, but he is really moving out there.
On the plus side, um… um… Vick isn’t on my fantasy team?
Guess Brown is enjoying himself a Butterfinger.
Beautiful.
Can we begin the Foles era now???
As bad as Vick is, the D is balling
With some major help from the Steelers.
Big Ben doesn’t look any better than Vick!
Did I miss his two turnovers?
Vick’s throwing the ball better, but … TURNOVERS!
That is helping us.
Jenkins was held badly on the 4th down play, too.
I thought that was incredibly blatant. But I’ll take it not being called.
We weren’t taken that even if they called it, though.
Honestly, perhaps the best thing that could happen to the Eagles would be a Vick injury.
You know, this has to be pretty demoralizing for the Steelers.
They’re as pissed off as we are.
at least until Vick turns it over again…
RULE #1 in the NFL . . .
Never keep a good team in a game.
It never ends well.
Question is, who is keeping who in the game?
Ouch, that looked painful.
Steelers still tied despite playing like crap. They should be pretty happy about that, actually.
same could be said for us….
nice collision right there. kinda glad it was brown and not mccoy. lol
Timmons = player of the game
Refs missed a pretty obvious PI v. Jackson on the deep ball.
Come on, a WR only needs one arm.
I’m not a fan of that throw. DeSean was blanketed in double coverage. The was a lot riskier of a throw than I would have liked right now.
That was pass interference!
Yea, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was double coverage with DeSean blanketed.
It also looked like DeSean had stopped running.
He held on!
Timmons and Washington . . . All Pro.
Who else do we play in the 3-4 defense?
3rd and 12, your QB has fumbled three times, so you… call a QB draw. Smart.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Maybe they’re subtly trying to get Vick injured..
i have a hard time imagining that being a called QB draw with the problems vick has been having…
And yet, there it was! (the OL was all running down the field with the WR’s blocking)
Maybe on 3rd and 13 we shouldn’t be calling a QB draw with the fumble machine.
I don’t like that call at all. I did like the QB draw at the GL.
Hold on, since when is illegal hands to the face not illegal on running downs?
You know, if Timmons and Vick collide and both have to leave the game, we win by 42.
McBriar’s a huge upgrade on Henry at punter. His touchbacks go deeper in the EZ
Ha!
Shady needs to do a better job of blocking. That was awful.
T-LAW:
On the DGR . . . PLEASE CONFIRM THAT WAS A CALLED DRAW.
And not Vick seeing the blitz and 0-coverage, so he tried to split the line.
Didn’t it seem like the line was running down the field and the WR’s blocking?
I’m not a fan of the Steelers starting to get into a rhythm.
yea. dont like it at all…
We’re about to get blown out.
is disqus working funny for anyone else? it keeps saying there are new comments… then nothing happens. or it will say 4 new comments when only one is there… weird.

I don’t think the Steelers have a leg to stand on in terms of non-called PI’s…
Could Aikman and Buck be any more clearly rooting for the Steelers?
When they cut to the booth shot they’ll be waving “Terrible towels”
Where the hell is our pass rush? I want Ben sacked!
Our defense looks tired already.
This is about a 48 minute drive, right?
Steelers are *out-scheming* the Eagles defense right now.
Formations killing Eagles on passes
i guess it comes down to… what team can make adjustments first? i think we’re all used to the eagles being slow to adjust.
Terrible job by Kendricks on that play. He has to make that tackle!
Terrific tackling
Thus begins the blowout.
Really bad play by Kendricks there.
Ken ricks gotta make that tackle
The good news is that it takes the Steelers 22 possessions to score any points.
The bad news is we’re likely to give them the ball 39 more times.
With all the hype about as D line! The pass rush is just disappointing.
Agreed. At some point, I need to Roethlisberger being brought down for a sack a few times.
Vick’s really walking in thin ice in my book
It certainly looks like his hands are encased in ice.
Seems like Kendricks was “out-quicked” by Mendenhall.
An example of rookie Kendricks misjudging the speed of the game, maybe?
I think so. He’ll learn about that stuff over time. Still, costly mistake.
He’s got to drive on the outside shoulder, and not hesitate. At worst he turns him back toward the pursuit.
Kendricks took a bad angle, that’s all.
Angle’s are about speed
There was nothing lacking in Kendricks athletically though that led to that play. He just had to pursue running more toward the sideline.
What I mean is, Kendricks — who is incredibly gifted — just misplayed it.
I’m just wondering, did he miss because he’s still learning about how quick NFL backs are.
Agree that the Sideline is MK’s best friend.
Word, I thought when you said out-quicked you were saying Kendricks was just too slow to make the play. Glad to have that cleared up.
Down 7-0 . . .
Clearly, it’s time to throw the ball.
This is an important drive for Vick and the offense.
Come on Jackson. Hold on to the ball!
As a team we are so careless with the damn ball!
This team is so undisciplined. It has to be on AR at this point. Speechless.
It has to be on AR that Vick can’t hang on to the ball?
I agree with you, but could argue that Vick continuing to get chances to fumble is absolutely on AR.
I’m ready for Foles…still that’s a dramatic step
Jackson…what makes him dangerous, makes him…dangerous.
Can we please hold on to the bloody football?!
Does anyone else think the effort to sell Aaron Rodgers as a comedic pitch-man has failed?
It’s still early. Give him time.
Not.
Anything is better than Peyton’s wooden acting.
I kinda like him. He’s like a more charismatic, less charming Peyton Manning.
Just think last year Jackson would have fallen down 5 yards earlier and everyone would be mad about his lack of effort
What the hell was that?! That was the ugliest looking screen I have ever seen.
what was that god awful play? fake the reverse… then a rb screen up the middle?!?
I think the screen was there if McCoy turned and ran.
I think it’s a good idea to have a play where all 11 players are designed to be 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage… only good things can happen.
Ugh, this is pathetic.
How can you not see the overload blitz? I see the overload blitz. How can the players, who watch tape and prepare for this each week not see the overload blitz?!

T-Law:
Two questions for you.
1. Agree that the Refs (even after the real guys came back) are NOT calling OTs lining up in the backfield at all this season?
2. Is there anything to Seth Joyner’s comments about Nnamdi’s confidence?
Just wondering.
Coleman with a savvy shoe throw.
he’s playing like a vet out there.
Well I was starting to believe in the D. Not so much anymore.
Not that it would have made a huge difference, but Coleman tossed Browns shoe. I think that probably could have been a penalty.
did anyone else notice that DRC jumped over cotchery instead of tapping him down? if ryans wasnt there, he could have just crawled into the endzone…
td coming up here
Did you guys lose the HD picture?
yep. SD looks like shit too. i can’t see the whole screen. i think they mixed the two up
yes
Me too. Sounds went low def too.
Why, if Brown motions to the right, isn’t Nnamdi moving up to press?
PICK THAT BALL!!!!
Tough play because the ball was tipped and was behind DRC
Oh, that was less of a rant and more of a moment to nearly get excited about. It was certainly a tough play to make.
Good hold by DRC. Pitt would probably have just kicked it if they took the penalty.
DRC couldnt hold on to that INT, vick keeps fumbling when big ben holds onto the ball ok. what are the steelers doing that we are not?
You might not believe it now, but the cotchery stumble will come back to haunt the steelers.
I’ll bite.
I don’t believe it.
I think Vick’s GL fumble will hurt more
kinda like how our RZ fumble is going to haunt us.
everybody is haunted, its a draw. lol
When? for the division total points tiebreaker?
Why? Did he hurt his kneecap?
This game… ugh… Asomugha looks like he couldn’t cover a toddler right now.
I really want to see him benched. Hughes out played him last week and he needs a wake up call, even if Hughes blows.
Asomugha looks slow and is playing with 0 confidence.
It’s only 10-0.
Crank up the passing game. Get a TD fast.
The Eagles are right back in it.
Of course, the Steelers get the ball first . . . so the defense, which has been outplayed since the start of the 2nd Q will need a stop.
A D-stop will let MM and AR throw the ball “within the scope of the game plan.”
A Steelers TD will require the Eagles to throw the ball outside “the scope” of the game plan
It’s win-win for AR.
