KC 16, PHI 6 – 2nd Half

Ugly 1st half. Turnovers galore. Mike Vick comes crashing back to Earth. And Shady McCoy got hurt late in the half.

The defense has played pretty well, except for some bad 3rd/long coverages. STs was awful early on.

The passing game can’t get going. Blocking is an issue. And the Chiefs have done a great job of blanketing DeSean Jackson. For whatever reason, Vick just isn’t seeing the field well and is making some terrible decisions.

The Eagles are lucky to be down 10 points. They’re still in the game, but they need to get going soon or this will be the 8th straight home loss.

    I am really disappointed with Jason Peters. Vick is having is usual stinker game a year, but I expect more from the arguably best LT in football.

    Two bad throws by Vick in the redzone there. One where the defender was able to step in front and potentially pick that ball off, and the second one where there was the penalty. Even if the WR was not tackled, looked like the safety could have still stepped in front of that one for a pick.

    Vick’s not a good enough QB, and now he looks gimpy whenever he runs too. The defense is full of holes. I believe that’s exactly what you called coming into the season, Tommy.

    Our O line is unexpectedly bad at pass protection, too. That one’s kind of surprising me. Herremans was showing some leakage last year, but his decline seems to have picked up speed.

    this wasn’t a “growing pains” game. we beat ourselves with stupid mistakes that pro players shouldn’t make. defense wasn’t perfect but they played more than well enough to win this game. lost the turnover battle, lost the game, simple as that. mcnabb got his when he returned with washington, reid’s going to get his. at least its not a loss against anyone in the nfc east.

    ESPN reports 11 pass deflections for Vick tonight on 30 attempts.

    I did some poking around and cannot find any recent games close to this and the ones that are ‘kinda close have more than 40 attempts. It appears we were just treated to a historically bad performance as far as ball placement is concerned.
