   Off topic: Tommy, how do you think Eli will do in a WCO offence? Despite his struggles last year, Gilbride’s offense seemed a good match for Eli’s strengths, but I’m unsure how he’ll go. What are your thoughts?

   Phil Simms thinks he will do great, considering the effects of the concussions have turned his brain to mush, Eli will prob suck!

   Personally, I think he is done! His OL isn’t any better, he can’t possibly be much better in an offense he just learned, then last year when he was running an offense he knew like the back of his hand….they are done til they find a new HC and QB..l stick a fork in them, that era has run it’s course… Signing 27 free agents and thinking they will implement a new offense and have all these new players get in one offseason, is a recipe that will blow up in your face,.. They made the exact same mistakes we made with Andy keeping him here too long, and trying to sign the dream team as a last attempt with Andy as coach.

   Personally I don’t care what Eli does. I’d love a QB w/ two flukey years in which he wins 2 SBs. I’d take tnat over Foles becoming the next McNabb any day (though i’d prefer Foles as Peyton with one ring in 10 years than Foles as Eli w/ 2 rings in 5).

   Depends on what “version”. If it is a more long ball style like Reid, Manning will be fine, but if it is the more short, 3 step accurate, Manning will struggle imo.

   Holly crap . . . some of his snaps look terrible. I’m guessing that ST coaches don’t check FA longsnappers with these sorts of tests, right?

   And Akers. The guy was aces. Clearly had way too much time on his hands.

    I know I’m going to take a lot of heat for this but I was never an Akers fan. First of all, his sensei, bowing bullshit was annoying. Then if you ask Dave Spadaro, Akers could boom FGs from Neptune. I just don’t seem to remember him hitting any big clutch kicks. I’m sure there were a few but nothing stands out. I remember some key misses in playoff games against the Giants and Green Bay. I remember a lot of times Reid wouldn’t send him out from 50+ yards even though his leg was so strong. Am I happy that we had a kicker for all those years who was steady from 40-49 yards? Of course I am. But dude gets the Adam Vinatieri treatment sometimes and I think it’s a little overboard.
