Opening Sunday

At 1pm I’ll be watching some of the Rams/Seahawks. I want to see how Nick Foles plays in his STL debut. Foles is a good guy and I wish him well. I’m just not sure playing behind that OL is going to bring out the best in him. Then again, playing in a more conservative offense might help matters.
I’m curious to see Seattle. They have been in consecutive Super Bowls. And now all those young stars are focused on getting paid. That can be the beginning of the end for a great team. We’ll see how much they miss Kam Chancellor. And their re-tooled OL will have a challenging start when facing the Rams DL.
We get to see Shady make his debut in Buffalo against the Colts. Shady says he isn’t 100 percent, but he is reportedly going to play. I want to cheer for Shady, but his continued comments make it less fun to pull for him.
The Skins and Dolphins play at 1pm. Go Flipper. Funny story of the morning.
As difficult as it might be to digest, RG3 was running as the scout team SAFETY at times this week. My report: http://t.co/tM33tXXbuc

Weird. Just weird.
The 425pm showdown between Denver and Baltimore doesn’t mean anything to the Eagles, but I’m very curious to see how Peyton Manning plays. He struggled down the stretch last year. Is he healthy now? Has Father Time caught up to him? We will get to see Evan Mathis play, but I’m not sure that’s all that big of a deal.
The Saints and Cardinals play late. I expect New Orleans to win. I don’t get the love for the Cardinals. If they win this game, maybe I’ll start to get it.
Tonight is the big game…Dallas against the Giants. We get to see how the Cowboys use their RBs. We get to see…is there anything interesting about the Giants? Well, beyond the JPP situation. Go check out the Giants depth chart. That is not a good looking bunch of players. Tom Coughlin is a good coach and I’m sure he’ll get something out of them, but that roster is not impressive.
I’m very curious about Dallas DT Tyrone Crawford. He just signed a big extension. The money seemed to big to me ($9M/yr). Is he a better player than I realize? Did Dallas overpay their own guy, something they’ve done a time or two in the past?
I’ll be pulling for the G-men, but this is a game Dallas should win.
I sure hope the NFL quits putting the Eagles in these Monday night openers. No fun having to wait an extra 30 hours to see your team get the ball rolling.

For those who don’t watch college football.
"I've got the @Eagles in the @SuperBowl…" @ESPNCFB @KirkHerbstreit during the #UOvsMSU game

All kinds of NFL pundits are high on the Eagles. Now college guys are jumping on the bandwagon. I can’t decide if this is good or bad.

I posted some notes from Week 1 of the college season. Yesterday was a great day for CFB. I’ll get some notes up on Week 2 sometime in the next few days.

Moses Malone passed away.
Sad news for any old school Sixers fan. I began watching him in the spring of 1981. The Rockets played in a mini-series against the Lakers. This was best 2 of 3 in the opening round of the playoffs. I hated the Lakers, which meant I suddenly loved the Rockets. Houston won the series 3 to 2. They actually made it all the way to the finals, where they lost to the Celtics.
That Houston team is one of my favorite groups of all time. They were odd, but came together and played great that spring. Moses was the key. Not many people will recognize the other names.
Billy Paultz
Bill Willoughby
Mike Dunleavy (father of current NBA player)
Robert Reid
Allen Leavell
I had this picture of 6’8 Willoughby blocking Kareem on my bedroom wall for a couple of years.
Glorious.
So when Moses came to Philly…I was ecstatic. One of my favorite players was coming to my favorite team. And just like the Hollywood story that so rarely comes true, the Sixers dominated the regular season and then went 12-1 in the playoffs, bringing a title to Philly.
Moses made a prediction prior to the playoffs that the Sixers would win in “Fo, fo and fo.”
He was off by one.
I miss the Sixers being a great team. Those were some great days.
RIP Mo. Thanks for the ring.
_
Fo, Fo, Fo-ever in our hearts and minds. RIP Moses.
Awww man, this is sad news. I loved Moses.
RIP Moses Malone.
I’ll be watching the IND vs BUF game. Rex Ryan vs Luck should be fun to watch. I’m curious about how Tyrod Taylor will play. The Bills have some intriguing talent now.
Me too.
Don’t know what to expect from Bills off, but I’m curious to see the Colts defense. Betting they will win AFC, but they have to improve.
Curious to see the colts Defense? You must be a fan of Trainwrecks..
hahaha
I’ll watch them a lot this year because of Cole. One of my favourite players.
They front-7 is not good enough to beat the Cheatriots in the AFC.
That team is going to have to win a lot of shoot outs… Once they get a defense they will be scary.
read a story it could be pagano’s last year.
Yeah, jay Glazier reporting that his hot seat is REAL… And I trust Glazier more then even Shefty, Mort or anyone else covering the NFL
yeah Jay putting in work today.
Crazy that they are going to fire Pagano, no way he takes them any further then he has with that defense..hard to hold him accountable if you don’t give the man the horses on one side of the ball..
yeah but you can’t get getting bitch slapped in the playoffs like that.
I dunno man.. One can argue they have overachieved.. Asking too much of Luck. no defense, a joke of a run game, he had TY HILTON and his other weapons were rookie Moncreif, washed up Hakim Nicks, solid Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen……. Just because Pagano has an awesome QB, doesn’t mean they can put average at best talent around him and expect to beat the big dogs in the playoffs.. luck is awesome, but he is facing, Brady, Flacco, PeYTON, these are no slouches who have much more help around them then Luck had…. How do you compete against REVIS, browner, McCourt, a tough front 7, with No run game, TY Hilton, and average weapons around them?…
Luck has proven to be able to win games like this.
If the Texans had a QB, AFC South should be a close division.
Ahhhhh!!! 5 o’clock shadow Joe Buck. He has cable.
I was going to watch that game until I saw Joe Buck’s face, and then I switched to the Dolphins.
Packers-Bears and Dolphins-Snyders
Unfortunately TY Crawford is legit, and once we see the deals signed when the cap goes up, his contract will look fair…he took Demarcos role as the only cowboy I respect.
..
Annoyed that CBS is airing Miami/Skins, and Fox is showing GB/CHI.
..
I don’t buy the GB bullshit that Rodgers is so good they will be fine with amy WR. if that was true, then they would have to be MORONS to give Jordy 60mil if he is so easily replaced.. Then again, I’m sure his chicken shit, yellow belly coward afraid to line up across from Richard Sherm won’t be hard for those Packer Frauds to replace. eagles ST might score 3 TDs on those chumps..
..
LOL RG3 is the #3 QB/Safety… He has been completely irrelevant to the last 3 NFL seasons,
..
Ravens disgust me, I certainly don’t wish them well
..
I have enjoyed rooting for the Bills in the AFC the last few years, they were the harmless little engine that could. When shady was traded there I thought it was great, jackass opened his mouth and now he has ruined my enjoyment of watching the Bills…
..
Seattle wants to pass the ball with Jimmy G and Lockett, but I need to see that new look OL hold up before I can buy the switch in playing style… Lol Earl Thomas literally can’t lift his arm over his head and is starting, Cary is a downgrade from Maxwell, and the seahawks and Kam are bickering over a petty 900k. Add 900k to Kams salary and he would t even notice it. The 900k would be part of agent fees and these fools are bickering over chump change when coming off the SUPERBOWL disaster they need to be even more United then ever… I see Greed, jealousy and Envy from guys like Bennett, potentially keeping seattle from the long playpff run it has been accustomed to…
..
Feel bad for FOles. no Gurley, Trey Mason is hurt
Classy RIP for moses malone.
I’d give anyhing for someone to sell footage of RG3 playing Safety for the scout team and air it all over ESPN…
At this point, it’s ridiculous. If that’s the case, I really feel bad for him in this case. He should at least be the backup QB – it’s not like Cousins is head and shoulders better than Griffin.
gotta wonder what his teammates are thinking when he’s out playing with PS guys at safety. He’s about to be tim tebow.
I don’t feel bad for him at all.. He thought his talent could replace hard work and film study, you reap what you sow. He has been paid handsomely and every coach has a problem with hm, no teammates stick up for him, throws his blockers under the bus once a month… At some point he has to be accountable… For the money he is being paid, he isn’t giving that franchise their money’s worth,mThe least he could do is be a a scout team safety for how much money he is stealing and what he has cost that team in opportunity cost… You wanna be the big dog, olay QB, make the Big Money? You have a responsibility to your franchise, and he hasn’t come close to living u up to it.. And his rookie year was a fraud. Didn’t take an expert to know he wouldn’t sustain that level of play only looking at his first option. Can’t see the field, it was Only a matter of time before defenses forced him to look else where, and when that haoened he fell apart… If you have to Run because you are an under developed QB, least you could do is have the sense and responsibility to your team to protect yourself… Chump!! Well paid Chump!
Dashon Goldson has been so irrelevant, I didn’t even know he was on the skins.ertz will be licking his chops to see him in coverage
poor nick foles
I don’t think he and Fisher are going to be a winning combination
not in the slightest
I don’t think any other QB would be much better in that offensive sess pool, at least not until Gurley is ready to play
fische needs to go, the OC DEF needs to go, get a good coach and some WRs next year and they could have a team.
Definitely need to all go!… Get another Lineman or two, a Wr or two and some modern offensive minds to replace antiquated Fisher like Billy Lazor, although he allegedly DIDNT get along with Folesy
What happened?
the rams are terrible, that’s all
Maybe you wanna hold off on that judgment. They just beat the should-have-been Super Bowl champs, their defense is stacked, and Fisher is a good coach. If Foles returns even halfway to his 2013 form they’re a playoff team, and there’s a significantly more than non-zero chance they finish with a better record than the Eagles.
JPP losing $570k per week. Reports are that he couldn’t work out lost TONS of weight, has severe damage to 3 fingers could lose almost $15m this year. Index finger gone.
Gotta say something like that could put you in a real dark place.
Apparently his hand is much worse then what was led to believe. Did he think no one would notice that half his hand was missing? Was he waiting for it to regenerate? Probably, regrets being greedy refusing to sign a tag worth 15 mil..don’t wish this type of harm to any man, but young players are playing with Fire(no pun intended) by turning down security, to swing for the fences reach free agency and sigń a mega deal….
If he had signed it, the Giants could just have put him on the non-football injury list and not paid him at all. That would eliminate the possibility of him coming back this season at all. So I guess right now, he basically stays away until the Giants think he can play and won’t use that list. It also lets him come back at any time this season — so if he’s not ready until say 10 games in, he’ll still get paid for those games.
yea dude…you don’t lose a finger when an explosive blows up in your hand, break a half dozen bones in your hand, and require extensive skin grafting because there’s no skin left on your hand and just shake that kind of damage off in a couple weeks. When all those orthopedic surgeons were coming out giving interviews about how the index finger is the least important for grip so he should be just fine, I almost burst out laughing. Sometimes doctors have too much knowledge and not enough common sense. After hearing what happened to his hand and the surgeries he had you’d have to be completely naive to expect a bomb going off in his hand, left him with a clean surgical amputation of just the index finger, no skin covering the hand, and the rest of the hand was just going to magically fine.
Kurt cousin could overthrow DEsean? Lol didn’t even think noodle arm was capable of that… Of course D-shawn pulls up with an injured Hammy, need some sport science in your life.. Did you sleep last night son? No pre game hydration test? LOL
Tyler Lockette is a beast…. PR td already
yeah got him setting on the bench, might just get himself promoted.
SEA is good at find those late round guys
Red zone needs some discretion, i don’t really care that the Browns are in the red zone.
Djax off the field with a hamstring issue. Isn’t that a conditioning issue?
mccown tried to take it, took a midair hit, fumbled the ball, jets touchback.
Send in Johnny
Travis Kelce is beasting it. Glad I overpaid/overdrafted him
yeah i missed out on that one.
Knew I should have played him this week. I was a little worried about the injury info that was coming out, so he’s on the bench.
Andy said he was ready to go for like a few days now.
I just went to check to see, and I do have him playing. LOL. This is why I don’t do fantasy, I’m not focused enough to pay attention to all the details.
I thought I had him in my work league, but I don’t. I have him in my friends league. I have Ertz on the bench because of the injury. I have Graham on my other team.
I’m all over the place.
Haha same here. I haven’t played since high school but my buddies needed another person so I joined.
First year I don’t have a fantasy team and it drives me crazy… My boss literally told me I can’t play fantasy football
How would he know?
On the road a lot together, I have won 3 of the past 4 years, when I play, im probably guilty of putting too much time into it… Promised I wouldn’t play in exchange for training me for a position I have wanted for years. Worth while Sacrafice
Absolutely. Good luck.
Thank you sir
Weird having a football season without it tho
They don’t call him Zeus for nuttin..
Jay cutler must have sexy picks of everyone in the league, how he is still getting paid like $20/yr i don’t know.
LOL
Manziel taking the field.
Already? McCown takes them down the field and they give up because of a fumble?
That organization is a mess.
This is how bad Organizations stay bad
“concussion protocal”
The RG3 “Concussion?”
yeah i think so. Apparently Mccown told people was “ok” but Johnny got the call
Hahahahah!! Can’t wait to play that division next year. Ravens and Manziel are on my shit list,
james jones fucking up my fantasy — looks like he’s just going to go back to catching all the tds.
rex’s bills going to be fun to watch this year if they can get it together, sadly they’re just playing for the wild card.
Wonder how many hours DEsean slept last night? How was his hydration levels today? Need some sports science in your life son lol.”..Shady and DEsean sure seem to be having a lot of hammy problems this offseason
Didn’t Boykin have hammy issues the last two years?
Not that kept him off the field
Because they don’t train hard in the offseason and probably are playing themselves into football shape. That talent mentality that it will be enough.
They train in the offseason, but not to be great – just to not be totally out of shape come camp. Plus, DJax missed OTAs so he could hang with LeBron.
johnny w/ a quick td run agianst jets — mccown probably lost his starting job.
All I ask is that Johnny keeps his starting Job and remains healthy long enough to start against the Eagles next year, Once we get to face him once, I won’t have any interest whatsoever in his career
When teams start to game plan for Manziel, I think he’ll start to have issues.
Tyrod Taylor looks pretty good so far.
Terrible play call on 4th and 1 for Miami. Their run blocking needs help.
Miami has awesome Uni’s…. I hate that the Skins wear Red and Gold. They are a disgrace to the colors of the great Roman Empire,. Dan Snyder team SHOULDNT be allowed to wear Red n gold.. Force him to change the team name, and colors..
bmarsh straight up ripped the ball out of taeshon gibson’s hands.
Just saw that play, wow.
Would you guys rather have Kiko or Stephon Gilmore?
KIKO all day every day
Gilmore.
Easier to find ILBs.
The Dolphins are kind of bad at tackling it seems…
The defense has been on the field for the majority of the 1st half.
I just tuned in.
I really hate week 1, it just scares the crap out of me,, it doesnt follow logic. I knew the skins had upset week 1 madness potential because Miami was the sexy team many are picking in suicide pools this week.. Feel like the game would look much different any week besides the opener..
..
The week 1 madness is why only being a 3 point favorite to an inferior roster with key players injured scares the bejesus out of me… The Eagle vs. Atlanta game should look like Eagles vs bears BEATDOWN, but it taking place week 1, with the World jumping on our Superbowl bandwagon scares the crap out of me..Matt Ryan 6-0 in the openers, all logic points to Eagles blowout. We are a bad matchup for that team. We sit here only worried about Julio and maybe Roddy. Think the Falcons fans are only worried about two of our weapons? Doubt it… I just hate week 1, I still can’t evision how we lose this game, but I worry it will be much closer then what it would be any time with the exception of week 1.. Hopefully chip has the boys ready to play and we get thru the game healthy with a comfortable win… I’m really not in the mood for a close week 1 matchup against an inferior team. Establish our dominance over inferior rosters!!!
redskins playing smart not letting miami get the ball.
I also think their OC has been trying to run too much. I understand you have to do it, but their passing game is having way more success and they keep going away from it.
Now that it’s below 2 min, they’ve been using it more and they score a TD.
If I’m Miami, I don’t feel bad coming out in the 2nd half. If they keep with the intermediate passing game, they’ll be fine. Their Oline doesn’t seem to be doing a good job of run blocking, but yet they keep doing it to get 3rd/4th and short. If it fails 2-3 times, try a pass, not the same run.
Cameron wake started TO take over and the skins pass blocking started to show its wharts
We are more prepared for week 1 than anyone. Forget last year. Falcons are in all kinds of trouble. I hope we get the ball first. If you can’t stop the run you are in deep trouble against us.
Bears D is pretty crappy for a Vic Fangio defense
karlos williams just vulture shady’s td 🙁
So, football is on but the Eagles aren’t playing and the Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins aren’t losing. This is kinda disappointing.
It is difficult to find a way to root for Miami in a way that doesn’t undermine my fantasy team, which is playing against Miami’s QB and RB.
Lesean celebrating too early
What happened?
scored a td but was called back for hold
What happened?
second time shady got vultured today
I’m guessing you have Shady?
yup
At least he looks healthy.
Nick Foles has more rushing TD than Shady
foles looking good against seahawks
Go Nick!
such low scoring games. is it monday yet???
KC has put up 27 on Hou
Bills Def is as advertised.
look good today, but i feel like the Colts are sooooo overrated, it’s easy to say now, but they didn’t upgrade the spots they badly needed to this offseason
Dont know why i drafted Gore…
it’s a long season and gore is the only real RB. I’m wondering why i have sammy watkins on my team.
He’ll do better, don’t give up. Vontae shadowed him all game.
I don’t see the Colts going up, just down. Andrew Luck can only do so much. The Colts have no depth and have very marginal players at many positions. To make it worse the majority of good or solid talent they do have is old, and they don’t have the young talent to back them up.
Colts will always be dangerous with Luck but for them to continue to be a deep playoff team they really need to have some consecutive outstanding drafts in which the rookies could effectively contribute immediately.
I’m not sure how their CAP situation is, but I can’t imagine it is any good.
Bad teams find ways to lose.
jarivs landry w/ the return td saving my sunday
I’m still holding out for a NY/DAL draw or Bane showing up laying waste to the city
please bane show up
Jarvis Landry solved my Miami rooting dilemma.
Lolskins special teams remain special.
I have no idea what we will get from Huff. I’m not even close to writing him off, but I must say that if we had Landry instead of Huff, to pair with Jordan and Agholor, we would be FREIGHTENing… Hopefully Huff developes into a dangerous weapon in his own right, but no doubt Landry can ball
Rumor had it he looked very good in training camp. I just don’t remember very many targets during the preseason games for whatever reason. We’ll see — maybe the training camp hype was the better indicator.
BIGTIME INT for Miami
That was a snag
Great snatch.
My andrew luck in the second round selection is not looking good right now
ditto
I know how you feel lol.
manzel turned it over 3-4 times
he’s not very good
sconces sacks Foles for a fumble-six
i wanna puke
Cutler with a rookie QB INT mistake. Ugh.
I’m surprised. /s
I mean, he threw it right to a GB defender in the endzone on a previous drive.. guy was so surprised he dropped it
hoyer benched
wow that was a short leash
LOL, what took them so long?
Estimate on when Foles will need a new collarbone: week 3.
Over/under on how many games into the season before Gruden gets fired? We’ll set the line at 9.5.
Also, there’s a ton of Dolphin aqua in Washington’s home stadium.
foles w/ the come from behind end of game td
Still 53s left though.. doubt it goes to OT
they’re going crazy in stl right now
clutch drive by foles
was that Williams that fell down?
sadly not, #37 I think it was
cam chancellor’s replacement
Dion Bailey.
One thing Foles always seemed to do for the Eagles was score inside the
last 2 minutes.
Always.
Even when he played bad last year, he was clutch at the end of games.
Absolutely.
Not a gift too many QBs have.
He did, but sometimes that bad play can cost games early. If he can figure that out and turning the ball over, he’s going to be an effective starter. He just didn’t seem to figure it out fast enough for Chip.
yeah that forced fumble td, can’t have those.
Foles was blind-sinded on a 3-step drop.
CB blitz, got there quick. You could say he should have gotten rid of it quicker but there really wasn’t enough time.
I would have liked to seen him with a decent OL last year. I thought he was improving when he got hurt, and that was with the awful OL. One of Kelce/Mathis came back the game he was hurt, the other the week after — so Sanchez had a reasonably effective OL when he got to start, where Foles did not.
That said, playing in the clutch is the one thing I need to see from Bradford. If he’s good there, we made a great trade. I hope it works out awesome for both teams.
Gonna earn lot of respect in the locker room with that drive
Yup. This is the #1 thing I worry about losing in replacing him with Bradford. Bradford pretty clearly has more natural ability, and is plenty smart. But I haven’t seen him prove he has the resilience and mental toughness to fight through adversity that Foles has repeatedly demonstrated. Foles has that clutch “it” factor and I really hope Sam does as well.
bills put colts away
Vernon Davis or Jason Witten?
witten, i’d wait a week before using davis. he was absent in pre-season
Davis probably has higher peak at this point, but Witten is still probably more consistent, I’d say
I was leaning toward him because I think the Giants will be vulnerable in the passing game. I have Dez as well. Don’t know how the 49ers are going to look.
Witten… look who is throwing the ball
Hawks – Rams officiating is a mess
foles dropped a dime.
FU NFL and Fox . Just f*** you! Can’t show end of rams-seahawks game. F***********!!!!!
stl won
Is it me or did it look like Marshawn Lynch was running in quicksand all day?
well they gave it to lynch that time…
Hate short-yardage runs out of the shotgun.
Hate them.
Seattle loses on short-yardage shotgun run.
Foles wins. Glad for him.
I should have started Kendall Wright instead of Kenny Stills :/
If anyone’s in for a laugh, and have Sunday Ticket, check out the CIN@OAK game. The commentators are hilariously awful, especially one guy who sounds like a boy, and is getting everyone’s name wrong (he’s calling them the Bangles over and over).
The Bangles:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cciDvX7vA1Y
Bradford has more talent but Nasty Nick is a baller. That pass to Bailey over Sherman in OT was beautiful
It wouldn’t have been necessary had Nick not gotten sack/fumbled by Cary Williams. He looked good at times but still so awkward.
Man, I saw the replay on that. No one slowed Williams down at all and Foles was blindsided. He didn’t even have any time to get the ball out.
Exactly.
3-step drop and throw — and Foles was hit mid-wind up.
Rams line slanted the wrong way on the blitz.
Not surprising, given their inexperience.
___________
Would be good to know, however, who calls out the line adjustments . . . center or QB.
That was awesome. The 37 yarder to tie the game was under thrown and Foles is lucky the defender fell down. The receiver had to slow down to wait for that ball. Other than that, great start for the Rams and Foles.
That corner route may be the best pass in Foles’s arsenal.
He made the exact same pass against the Giants in 2013 right before the end of the 1st half in a game he replaced Vick.
Congrats to the L.A. Rams and Nick Foles
What’s L.A. stand for?
Los Angeles
I know, they leaving?
Sure looks like it. By next year possibly. Check this out from today:
http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/9/13/9318927/st-louis-los-angeles-official-mover-ad-rams
They finally are putting together a team, boy that would suck. Well they did get a Super Bowl at least.
Good and I hope the local pressure that has really come on keeps the St Louis County from giving into the Rams’ absurd financing demands.
Stan Kroenke is a scumbag who wants massive public financing on a stadium with a $1B estimate which will surely go up.
Rick Eckstein of Public Dollars, Private Stadiums fame in a recent St Louis Dispatch article two weeks ago:
“Quality of life improvements claimed by the franchise
were “a load of crap,” Eckstein wrote to me. He continued: “Los Angeles has been doing just fine without football for the last decade; there has not been a mass exodus from Seattle after the Sonics left; the Long Island suburbs will not go vacant with the Islanders moving to Brooklyn, just as they survived the Nets leaving; Montreal has shown no ill effects after losing the Expos while the Nationals decidedly did NOT put
DC ‘on the map.’”
Kroenke is demanding over $480M in public financing and even the MO legislature has really been reluctant to pony up that kind of tab.
The reason owners are able to ask for this is because there’s someone willing to give it to them.
It isn’t nearly that simple and they put on a full press buying up a lot of people and putting money in a lot of people’s pockets in the process to facilitate which is a huge direct transfer of wealth from public sources to private hands.
I would rather see the Eagles move or any of the teams in Philly because the city and state gives some owner $500M+ to build a new stadium.
He’s good for a couple of those every year.
Still looked like Nick Foles in that he just wasn’t comfortable in the pocket.
mariota looks like the read deal in one quarter of nfl play against the worst team in football.
Foles beating the Seahawks, Mariota dominating, Bradford better bring it tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to seeing how Bradford does inside 2 minutes in a close game.
Don’t expect that to happen tomorrow. But it’s inevitable.
Almost as important, how does Bradford look after he’s been blindsided a couple of times, does he start hesitating or trying to scramble or does he stick in the pocket?
I’m looking at the box scores and thinking at this point, the preseason is over and your finding out the Eagles didn’t play a lot of good teams.
Foles put up nice numbers. Hmmmm.
but i thought Foles looked good only because he played for Chip Kelly.
I can tell you didn’t watch the game. He still looks awkward as hell and was pancaked several times. No way he makes it longer than Bradford.
Rams first game against the Seahawks last year: Rams won 28-26 with QB Austin Davis going 18-of-21 for 152 yards and two touchdowns for a rating of 128.6. We still have a ways to go for any verdict.
I was working. Does anyone know how many times STL scored 34 points while Bradford QBed them?
Week one not even done overreactions: On your mark, get set…..GO!!!
Foles 2015 MVP
Mariota, you mean
Denver is the new steel curtain.
NFC Championship Game – Foles vs. Bradford – Rams vs. Eagles
Super Bowl – Reid vs. Kelly – Chiefs vs. Eagles
I was out in KC in early August and it reminded me here of the Phils from say ’08-’11 where they owned the town late into fall. KC is the same way right now with the Royals and people were kind of sleeping on the start of the Chiefs’ season.
Buffalo -> Superbowl!!
Awesome, keep em coming!
Seattle, loses today, in Green Bay revenge game next week. 0-16.
If their defense keeps playing so well and Taylor can keep scrambling around, then sure why not!
That said, I’d love to see the Bills go 10-6 and end the longest NFL playoff drought. Great and rabid fan base that really has has seen a lot of crappy football the last 20 years.
Great time tailgating there a decade ago when I was visiting with friends from Syracuse.
Nick Foles is better than Bradford!! They beat Seattle!!
They beat Seattle 28-26 in the 1st game last year without Bradford.
Well you asked for an overreaction so what did you expect??
You asked for an OVERREACTION. I simply gave you mine.
Hell, I shouldn’t even have to explain the sarcasm in that one.
Mariota for MVP
LMAO. Carroll is actually trying to claim that he didn’t call an on-side kick to start OT but Hauschkta just mis-kicked the ball. Now maybe the K thought it was an on-side kick and no one else did, but the replay clearly shows that Hautschka pulled up his momentum and kicked it on-sides intentionally.
Last year is going to haunt him for every decision he makes for the rest of his coaching career.
I guess what he’s saying is that it wasn’t supposed to be an on-side kick but not a normal kickoff either. A blooper down the field where normally the upbacks are and hope one of them misjudges it.
I’ve actually have seen an accidental on-sides kick work out for the Eagles if I’m not mistaken. Kicker slipped on wet turf and the ball was recovered by the Eagles. Was this the Rhodes era? Does anyone remember this? For Christ’s sakes it could’ve been my 9th grade jv game for all I know.
Arguing with Kam over 900k NFL chump change, while Kams replacement Sims falls down and gives up a key play…
..
Or trying to run with an OL still gelling out of shotgun on a key play against Rams scary front.. Aaron Donald was Beasting
Is Chip Kelly watching the Tennessee game with a tissue box?
you know he is. especially on that first TD
He would be using those tissues for another reason had he been his QB. I do apologize for putting that thought in anybody’s head.
Ridiculously funny!
I think Oregons coach is watching and crying more
The only weapon missing from our arsenal is a smaller quick, burner to stretch the field like Emmanuel Sanders who I adore, or Brandin Cooks
that’s supposed to be josh huff lol
Not quite… Stronger, stockier, RB yards after catch type, but for this year, yes he will probably be our best deep threat
Free Sproles! Not the burner but I hope Chip doesn’t burn him out & then forget out him down the stretch again.
Sproles stretches field east and west,,… I’m talking North south who can just Run past defenses…
..
Bring Notre Dames Will Fuller HOME!!!!
We had someone like that on the team recently.
Jeff Maehl?
loljk
mariota 4tds in the half against lovie smith.
Must suck to be the Bucs looking at Winston On your bench while Mariota is looking like Aaron Rodgers against you
Rodgers impressed me a lot today while I watching the Bears-Packers game today. Didn’t make that many great throws (one exception was the TD throw to Cobb in the 2nd half) but just is so mechanical, precise, and avoids mistakes. Semi-forced only 1 throw I saw today in double-coverage but still was a completion.
My favorite player to watch now in NFL and it isn’t close.
yup
ameer abdullah having a monster game.
Big upgrade to reggie bush it seems like…. Does Ebron still suck?
yeah but he caught at TD pass. Megatron and Tate might as well not be playing. Stafford is still mediocre.
Amazing to me how much more Talented Bradford then decent #1 pick QBs like Stafford and Matt Ryan, but because he hasn’t been as durable as them, teams would prob still take Ryan and Stafford over SAM…. If we keep Sammy boy healthy, everything changes..
Well my friend who insisted the Eagles would have their Brady-Belicheck combo if the Eagles had traded the devil’s ransom for Mariota is pretty ecstatic today.
eh, it’s only Tampa.
Part of the week 1 overreactions. We all do it, it’s unavoidable.
peyton pick 6’ed. he’s in full decline.
Looked like crap all preseason on anything intermediate/deep. Love to see the Broncos crash and burn this year.
No particular reason why but I never liked that team for some reason. One of the few AFC teams I have a strong feeling for one way or the other. Don’t even dislike the Steelers either. Just the Ravens.
little sad to watch, especially when brady looks like he could play for another 5 yeras.
This change to Kubiak’s offense….yeah, let’s fix what isn’t broken.
Other guy who impressed me today was Landry with the Dolphins. He had one play in particular where he got tackled by 3 players a good 2 yards from the first down market and still converted it through sheer effort. Got in the face of Skins’ defenders and fired his team up.
Dolphins haven’t have many dynamic offensive players over the recent years of mediocrity or anyone with much of an on-field persona. Landry looks like he has both in spades. Nice start to what was an impressive rookie year last year.
yeah i was really pulling for us to take Landry, but he went a little high. Def a stud.
He yaps a lot but he gives max effort too. Picked the Dolphins to go 10-6 this year and be one of the AFC Wildcard too teams.
My only worry was that the AFC East will actually be a lot better this year than the last few years.
bills / pats/ dolphins in that order i think
It will be interesting especially if the Jets aren’t a laughingstock this year and competitive at say 7-9/8-8.
I had Pats/Dolphins/Bills after Brady’s suspension was lifted. Had the bills at 8-8 in our pick’em standings final record tie-breaker.
this Monday night crap is torture.. I’m starting to get stir crazy
Broncos/Ravens is a Yawn.. All this terrible offense and huddling for 40 seconds, BORED… At least some defenders are balling, love Aqub Talib, CJ Mosley is a beast, Demarcus Ware looks rejuvenated, Danny Travethan hitting dudes HARD
I turned that game off, watching Cards/Saints
For the future of the NFL, I want to make Ricky Williams and Serena Williams reproduce, the Marinovich project 2.0
Too late, Serena is about the Drake’s Cakes.
He is such a fairy. I don’t know how that nerd got so popular. He has less street cred then Farrell yet he always running his mouth.
I just watched the Williams’ sisters documentary, and it doesn’t look like either is ever going to reproduce. They seem pretty set in their ways!
Could you imagine the offspring of Megatron and Serena Williams? God damn their kids would destroy everyone.
Those girls practiced their butts off, too.
And yet still managed to have fabulous backsides.
I should really mute the sound whenever Redzone switches to the broncos game, every time phil simms says something dumb I can feel my braincells dieing off.. and I have an exam on wednesday, so I need ’em.
FOLES!!! So stoked they upset Seattle. Impressive stat line against a tough defense with a shitty OL And no receivers.
I think Seattle is seriously missing Maxwell and Chancellor. Next week they face GB and could find their season beginning 0-2.
The lost their DC too
The Legend of Nick Foles begins! Mariota NFL Rookie of the Year and future MVP!
Right on on both. Foles proving he wasn’t just a system QB. He hung tough against a brutal defense and he has jack shit to throw to. Hope this boosts his confidence going forward.
I was just joking but it will be the reactionary talk all week if the Eagles lose tomorrow night & Bradford struggles a bit.
Yeah you know it would be. For me at this point it’s more about wishing Foles well than thinking we should have kept him over Bradford. I think Foles struggled with the pressure of playing Philly, maybe moving cities will bring out the best in him.
I like Nick as a qb and as a person but he wasn’t the answer in Philly. Sam is a gamble but I give Chip credit for rolling the dice.
I’m withholding judgment on that. If Foles develops into a very good 10 year starter and Bradford gets hurt again (quite possible) or sucks (unlikely) “rolling the dice” is going to look very, very dumb and possibly turn out to be the move that gets Chip fired.
Jameis Winston sucking shit out there, couldn’t happen to a nicer fellow.
I have a $100 bet with a buddy of mine that Winston will be out of football within 5 years. I think the guy is the next bust in the Leaf/Russell mold.
I just saw a shot of Suggs sitting on the bench, surrounded by coaches and trainers. I missed the play, but I think it might have been an illegal chop block by Karma.
Hard to really wish ill on anyone but… If there was guaranteed 1 season ending injury and I had to pick a guy…
Yep.
Are we talking about Romo now?
Normally I never root for injuries, but in this case I hope his foot was broken in 7 places.
A torn achilles would work, too.
Ask n you shall recieve
Raiders’ ‘Commitment to Excrement’ remains intact. Losing 33-0 at home in a game not even that close.
I got to watch the Browns factory of sadness roll on against the Jets live today.
People were booing Manziel so hard, and then go out and turns the ball over 4 times. It was glorious.
Their starting QB injured himself trying to stiff-arm a DB, ’nuff said.
Interesting discussion – does the Eagles’ offense this year enter historic territory and score 500+ pts this year.
Watching a lot of NFL games this week makes you appreciate what the Eagles have done on offense the past 2 years. Certainly hasn’t been boring here.
No. Why would you expect that?
We have shaky OL depth, an injury prone QB, and an unproven receiving corps. Even though we have some talented players and a great coach, that is not a recipe for a historically great offense.
I think we should really slow our roll here. One good half against the Packers in the preseason and everybody loses their heads?
WOW…3:50 left in 4th quarter in DEN-BALT game and it’s the first time a team is taking a snap in the red zone
Calvin Johnson is obliterating my fanduel rosters. How he’s got 37 yards on 3 catches in a shootout is… amazing really.
As is Steve Smith. Had he caught that TD, I’d be good.
My Fanduel rosters are wrecked. I had Greg Olsen (who the fuck else was Cam going to throw to?) Megatron, Jonathon Stewart (again, against the Jaguars, cmon guys get it together),
Benny Cunningham did some work for me as a sleeper but not enough to make up for the other’s failures.
Yes, I have Olsen on mine. I should have went with Kelce like I thought.
I thought the Chiefs would struggle against the Houston defense. What right does Alex Smith have to throw for 243 yards and 3 scores in a half?
I drafted Travis Kelce in all of my leagues so that gives him every right.
No no, he’s Alex Smith. He throws for 190 yards,1 td and 1 interception and lets the defense win the game for him. That’s his lot in life.
RB David Johnson for Arizona is going to be a good weapon for that team….loved him pre-draft out of Northern Iowa….looks like he hit the gym all summer too
How the hell is phil simms on CBS broadcasting A team? Unfathomable they think he’s their best guy.
Yes it doesn’t take long to see why Parcells absolutely hated him
For all the love that Foles is getting today, he still had 2 fumbles today. Been a consistent problem in his career too as he has 17 fumbles (18 total) in 25 GS now.
Combine that with the 17 INTs and that is 36 turnovers in 29 career games; 34 turnovers in 25 GS.
It isn’t the staggering Vick-level of turnovers while he was here as the QB but it was a real issue too while he was here. Just had a lot of good luck in ’13 to avoid a couple of INTs.
Give it time. Last year he coughed up the ball way too much.
Contrast that to McNabb who had 179 turnovers (fumbles and INTs) in 142 GS here but only had had 90 INTs in those 142 GS.
Think if I remember correctly that the recovery rate for QBs fumbles is >80% by the offense. They are concerning but obviously not an automatic loss of possession like an INT.
Even a couple more ints in 2013 would have left him with a staggering int/TD ratio.
The fumbles are an issue no doubt. Can’t take away that he’s on a team with a crap OL, zilch for receivers, played the toughest D in the NFL, and didn’t look bad. Especially for a guy with the perception that he got the Chip system bump and that’s why he was viable at all.
I was just watching the Mariota highlights… impressive stuff… Wish we had gotten him.
Also amusing that announcers still getting his name wrong.
Good performance but I’ll wait until he plays a team with a more complicated D(Tampa 2 is as basic as it gets in the NFL) with better personnel.
Yep… but it’s a hell of a start, especially compared to Winston, who looking at his throws… yikes.
I know the Broncos won today but it’s really said seeing what Peyton Manning has become. He doesn’t have any hand strength anymore and that not only affects his arm strength but his ability to put a tight spiral on the ball and control its direction. I’d prefer to remember Manning at his best. And I think Denver secretly wished that he would retire so they could see what they have in Brock Osweiler, who is entering the last year of his contract.
If he keeps playing like he did today then they’ll just remove him.
I doubt they would bench him. They might claim he has an injury(which he probably does – I think his previous neck injuries are affecting his hand strength) and say they have to sit him.
If I were John Elway, I would call up the Packers and see if they would trade Hundley.
They’re sitting just fine with Osweiler, if the kid can ever get a shot to see the field.
He can have sanchez if he wants to give up Talib 😉
Baltimore Ravens

@Ravens
Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles and is done for the year.
Ah, so sad.
how sweet karma is
Oh dear.
Ye who touches Bradford’s knees shall be smited in thy knees.
Well the achilles isn’t in the knee, but yea.
Religion often doesn’t make sense.
Dear Mr. Suggs, Karma is a WHORE ain’t she?
…
A veteran going around taking cheap shots in the meaningless preseason at fellow veterans who invested years in their body’s rehab, pulling Celeks neck to the side, basically not even trying to play football. Taking advantage of a meaningless preseason game to take viscious cheap shots at fellow NFL veterans… Hopefully you do some reflecting during this long strenuous rehab, just get to work because I expect you to be healthy when we play the Ravens next year.. You Met that Whore Karma, next year Eagles will introduce you to that Bitch Payback!!
.
Scumbag
Justice is served.
Ideal Giants-Cowboys score: 0-0 tie, but not because of good D, because of complete ineptitude. Let’s do this!
Wouldn’t mind seeing ODB score 5 Td on that poor excuse for a secondary. I’d love to have Dallas come to philly, 0-1 with a jacked up Demarco waiting to run all over them… One of the few times I don’t mind seeing Giants win.. Even if Giants win today, doubt they will be relevant
I’ll take the Cowboys being embarrassed in anyway.l shape or form. But still want the rest of the division winless.
My dream is running the table in the division
A double loss would be ideal, but I agree with GEAGLE, Cowboys loss is best we can hope for.
I really hope the Giamts defense isn’t so Horrible that it makes the Dallas RBs look good
No, no. Let the Giants run D be worst ever so Dallas can continue to fool itself and delay making changes.
Your right.. Plus it doesn’t really matter, either way they run into a brick wall next week
That wall prefers to be called Mr. Logan, thank you.
Bwahahahaha randle fumbles his second carry…
i picked dallas in my suicide pool… but i still cant root for them. Fuck Dallas.
JPP is gone and Damontre Moore still can’t start?
..
Wonder if Louis Nix is playing today?
.
Didn’t the Giants cut that donkey, loudmouth punter or is that wishful thinking?
I think they already cut Nix.
I thought they cut him and then picked him back up, no? Or was that someone else?
Ah they did. Didn’t realize he re-signed.
i hope Kiko gets a kill shot on Beasly
Matt Ryan?
FIXED: i hope Kiko gets a kill shot on Romo
Are the Giants just going to sit back and give up 7 yards a play
Yes
Gavin Escobar should be able to light up Merriweather and Landon Collins,
Witten needs to turn his hearing aid up.
Romo is getting old lookin
The red zone is where ‘Allas going to really miss DeMarco.
I assume loosing Murray means Romo won’t get to attempt the least amount of passes like he did last year…
I love when people (especially that cowboys fanboy on ESPN) say that Romo should have been MVP last season, in a year where he was asked to do less than he had in any other season by a wide margin.
Really absurd… If anything Murray should have been MVP for protecting Romo all year
There seemed to be about four points worth of meat left out there.
http://ak-hdl.buzzfed.com/static/2013-11/enhanced/webdr02/12/13/enhanced-buzz-9683-1384279737-16.jpg
Even with a crappy Giants defense, that Cowboys line looks a bit porous.
Doug free and Leary are over rated, average at best in pass protection, and romo will have to pass more then he did last year, let’s see how long his body feeling so great lasts.. BARWIN Gonna own Doug Free
Did they take the Dallas kicker’s photo while he was sneezing or was he just high?
Dallas can talk all the crap they want about not missing Murray, it showed right there that its bullshit. 1st and goal at the 5 yard line, and not a single attempt to pound it in behind “the best offensive line ever” that can make even bad players run like DeMarco. They didn’t even line up with a RB or threaten the play action.
But otherwise and without logic in the equation, yeah full confidence in their RB by commitee can match what Murray did. Romo will face a lot more challenging coverage this year, without teams stacking the box to stop Demarco. And that OL might be great against the run, but they’re not as dominant when pass blocking.
More reasons not to like Tiger Woods.
As soon as I saw Claiborne on ODB I couldn’t help laughing
I expect the Eagles to cause so many fumbles this year
Well yeah, we led the league last year
That was close, but likely a fumble.
Yeah. If they had called him down it wouldn’t get over turned either I don’t think.
I think it will go whichever way it was originally called. The one replay they showed, I thought he still had it when he first touched down, but it was starting to move.
Or not. Whatever.
LOL go Gnats
OH wow, they over turned it.
Clearly not a fumble.
That’s incolmplete,
Giants just want to lose this game.
Looks like OBJ is have some problems there. Like I’m not sure where I”m at problems.
Choking OBJ?
i hate the cowboys, but i loved that hit
Dang boy…
Why isn’t that a helmet to helmet penalty?
Agree.
Why isn’t that helmet-to-helmet contact???
I thought it was close but not a definite penalty
beckham destroyed
Dumb challenge
ODB looks like a damn treasure troll after that hit…
Would somebody punch that new GE employee in the face please?
Giants must have sacrificed to Jobu tonight.
Really eli?
80 million dollar man?
Mincey should have been called offsides.
Damn Blandino!
All we need to do is get the man a lap dance and we’ll get all the calls too.
That was very obvious as well
Almost a whole quarter before we got Coughlin redface.
What’s the ‘ATM’ on Giants’ jerseys?
Atomic Mouse. Eli’s favorite cartoon.
Ann Mara, Giants co-owner died in February
Looks to me like our ST should kick the Cowboys ass
Romo is having all day. Spags, time to dial up a JJ special.
Who is he gonna send? Lol
Collins or Merriweather
Might as well, probably help you more blitzing then getting picked on in coverage
I’m waiting for Dez or Williams to get deep
ODB
Ole Dirty Bastard?
You can’t beat Romo if you don’t hit him. At least a little.
Yeah, most QBs change somewhat when they start to get hit somewhat consistently but Romo even more then most.
Lol Dez dehydrated already.
That was an awful punt return.
Didn’t realize the Rams didn’t have Mason or Gurley today. Makes the win even a bit more impressive.
Shockingly, the Rams are 3-1 against the Seahawks in the last 4 meetings.
Divisional games are always weird.
They always play SEA tough. They can suck all year then go and beat SEA
Sort of like no matter how bad the Redskins are they always play us real.tough.
I think people are sleeping on the Rams. That defensive front 7 is LOADED, arguably the best in the NFL, and people seem to have forgotten that Jeff Fisher is a very competent coach who’s won a lot of NFL games and oversaw a perennial contender. If their offense is even halfway competent I think they’re a playoff team.
Stupid move Garrett.
Dallas will probably win this one, but it’s a bad risk. Lose and you’re done for the game.
I think they’re done for the game regardless. If they win 2 they get a 3rd, but they already lost their first challenge.
Jason Garrett is a buffoon. You’re going to challenge THAT in a 3-3 game after you’ve already blown a challenge?
i don’t think it’s a catch, but did they really blow the play dead after the ball was not only snapped, but after Vereen made his cut?
He was down. No fumble
Incomplete pass though.
BS
I think Cole Beasley is one of my least favorite players in the NFL and I don’t know why.
He’s got very hateable hair…or face…I can’t tell which I hate more
Reminds me of Steve Kerr when he played for the Bulls, and that’s not a compliment.
That’s a bad rule. If you win the second challenge you ought to get another one.
Big holding by the right tackle
Is Cruz playing?
out at least first 3 weeks i think
Giants need him on offense…nobody is getting open. I think ODB is still concussed from that hit.
true…not sure how effective he will be right away when he does come back….he just started running this past week
Giants with 0 pass rush and the Cowboys still can’t score…
my grandma could have told you that the slot CB was blitzing. not exactly genius work
Agree. Giants are tipping their blitzes.
Ereck Flowers is sooooo slow. Why he is playing LT I have no idea. His kick slide looks BRUTAL.
Gregory abused him when they met in college
Just abused him again 10 minutes ago.
Gregory tonight and throughout pre season has been alot better then what I thought he would be. I really thought he would be a bust for the cowboys. Doesn’t appear that way.
A lot of Cowboys have a history of abuse.
I don’t think he will ever be quality LT material in the NFL. He may be effective against bigger slower DEs but I think 3-4 OLBs and quicker DEs will generally have their way with him. Loops and stunts will also be effective against him.
He also looks dinged. Limping a bit which can’t help. Still don’t understand how he went in the 1st round.
yes f dallas
Always!
great play!
Saw that before it happened.
maybe im just getting my feed quicker than others…i was sort of wondering why nobody was mentioning it…i’ll ease it up, don’t want to give anything away
Isn’t everyone watching it live?
Not all live is equal. It depends on stuff like how many times it goes to space and back.
I just assumed the difference would be minimal… like tenths of seconds…
I know some games that I stream from questionable overseas sites can be a whole play behind. I will see the blue banner pop up for 12 or 15 new comments and think, “oh boy, what is about to happen?”
You think TV service provider might play a role as well?
i had always heard sometimes in different regions of the country some areas get the feed quicker than others…i could be wrong tho
“One unbelievable half for the New York Giants…”
Or, you know, the Cowboys are overrated.
It looks to me like the Cowboys offense is leaving a lot of meat on the bone.
Ugh…why couldn’t have some one planted Romo on that return.
His knee buckled at least.
These days it will cost you the play…looks like Romo hurt his knee or back on a non-contact situation anyway.
LOL!!!!
Hahahahaha
He he he!!
Even dawk is laughing at Dallas https://twitter.com/briandawkins/status/643240073404788737
Edit: and after the INT
https://twitter.com/briandawkins/status/643240839020453888

karma
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000529815/article/terrell-suggs-will-miss-rest-of-year-with-torn-achilles
meets irony:
Fuck U Terrell Suggs
Truth
I think Steve said it best when it happened:
“Hard to really wish ill on anyone but… If there was guaranteed 1 season ending injury and I had to pick a guy…”
I took the highroad too and rationalized ” He will get his”
Little did I know karma and irony would meet just two weeks later creating that possible career killer.
So, Giants can’t play D, Offense is unimpressive, and they’re up by 7. No rhyme or reason to this game, but I’m happy 🙂
Can Dallas possibly leave any more meat on the bone? Really enjoying this game, but the Giants suck so bad that I’m still worried
Both teams look bad today… sloppy football from a lot of teams today
I think we’re seeing the reality of the situation, both teams have a lot of weaknesses.
Romo is looking sharp though
The Giants D line is terrible, they really miss JPP. No one is getting close to Romo.
saw they were playing cullen jenkins at de lolololz
Jenkins got called for the personal foul.
I’m ready for some deep passes… this game is terribly boring
Against a non existent pass rush.. The INTS to Witten was all on Romo
Giants have no pass rush at all. Run D hasn’t been great. Just bad defense overall, yet they’re bending, not breaking. Meanwhile, Beckham got smacked and has been a non-factor. Surprised they didn’t flag for helmet to helmet on that hit. Wouldn’t be surprised if he got fined. Meanwhile, couple of key big plays and Giants have the lead. I hate both teams and the Giants are less talented, so I’m hoping they pull it out.
Do either of these teams scare you in the least? The Eagles could sweep, 6-0 in the NFC East.
p.s. Yea, I know it’s early.
Giants have the worst pass rush imaginable and dallas still can’t score? But but but but but the OL is great….
They are giving Romo all day to throw… His WRs have let him down. All of them
Outside of Dez, no one is getting open, and this isn’t exactly the Seahawks secondary. That short period while Dez was out showed just how unimpressive the rest of their receiving core is.
Williams had 2 or 3 drops and Beasley had the fumble. Even Dez had an easy drop
Yup! Beasly Cost them 7, Dez cost them easy 3rd down conversion, terrence dropped pass… Witten helped give up INT although it was bad accuracy on romo
Yeah… hard to blame Witten for that pick
Not opening much room to run tho…after listening to Cowboys fans all offseason, I was under the impression that this line was such an inhuman assemblage of Titan gods and Valhalla warriors that a morbidly obese lady on a rascal scooter could gain 1000 yards behind them.
If the Giants pull this off, I’m going to have a great week at work. So tired of a couple of coworkers who are Dallas fans talking trash.
Donkey Kong Suh kneed alfred Morris in the head… That dirty scumbag better not put his filthy paws on Bradford,
This league is such a joke. They come down with the hammer of Thor if you graze a QB or WR incidentally during the play, they suspend you more games for smoking a joint than they do for beating a woman unconscious or strangling her on top of a mountain of assault rifles before dragging her into the bathroom to slam her forearm with the toilet lid, but they allow one team to continuously skirt the rules and probably outright cheat, they can’t accurately define half of their own rules, but this scum bag is on film intentionally stomping on, kicking, kneeing and outright trying to injure and hurt people after the whistle like a little sneaky bitch and he just keeps doing it.
he also poked some dude in the eyes today
Classy…
Suggs tore his left Achilles, is likely out for the year, and he is likely done in the NFL too.
When you routinely take cheap shots at other players knees I feel no pain for him. Good riddance.
I hate injuries in the NFL, but it’s hard to feel bad for a guy who’s gone out of his way to try to injure other players.
Dallas rushing stats at the half: 14-55, long 15, avg 3.9.
Against a crappy defense too
But, but, but, . . . best OL evaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!
I would love the Giants to win, but no way it happens.
I love that Randy Gregor is playing his first game against such a crappy Tackle, the difference when he feels JP should be staggering… Kids Probably going to be feeling Good after a game against Flowers and run into his first Holy Shit Moment, when its 3rd and 6, and we run the ball and JP violently pushes him 30 yards down field clearing the way For Murray… I can’t wait to watch all of JPs snaps against Vic Beasly and Gregory
Let’s go Midgets!!!!! Daddy wants an upset!!!
Romo with 24 passes already?..hmmmmmm
LOL how bout those RBs… I doubt he threw more then 24 passes many times last year and it’s only the 3rd Quarter…
sounds like their playcalling before linehan took over….Garrett loved his “air romo” offense
Much as I’d love to pile on, playcalling hasn’t been out of balance. Cowbabies have just had the ball that much. Two-minute drill also skewed things at the end of the half.
true
what a dumb play there
Fun fact: Sean Lee’s middle name is Ginger.
Trent MUrphy is the worst Ginger in the division
I wasn’t talking hair color. It was an attempt at a “gingerly” pun aimed at his injury history. Poorly executed.
Files!!! Why did we trade him away again?
Because he’s not as good as Bradford.
He didn’t work out here, just like Bradford didn’t work out there….
Because people kept misspelling his name.
I wasn’t thrilled about the trade. Still think we overpaid for Bradford and Foles success today underlines that.
Still, feel better about it after seeing Bradford, admittedly briefly, this preseason in the Eagles spread offense.
You can’t say we overpaid for SAM unless you know what the Browns were offering for him
Traded a starting QB with better stats and a 2nd round pick for a player coming off multiple achilles injuries who was in the last year of his contract being paid 13mil.
Yeah, we overpaid.
You haven’t even seen Sammy take the field yet. At the end of the year you may look at it differently
I’m thrilled with what I’ve seen of Sam this preseason. Doesn’t change my opinion that Kelly undervalues players who don’t fit his vision. It’s actually similar to the Bradford situation. He’s talented, yes, but the Rams absolutely weren’t bringing him back. Kelly decided to move on from Foles as well, but didn’t get near as much as the Rams did for a player they were moving on from.
Kelly’s moved on from several talented players. I don’t have an issue with that, but I do question what he’s gotten back for most of those players. Lesean is the only exception.
ACLs my good sir!
Correction, ACL’s. My apologies 🙂
I see what your saying (and I’m personally come around to liking the trade a lot), but what you said ignores the possibility that we didn’t HAVE to trade for Bradford. Just because the Browns were potentially willing to give up what we ended up paying doesn’t mean we still didn’t over pay. If the Browns offered 4 first round picks and we beat their offer ever so slightly, would it matter that the Browns (a dysfunctional organization) was willing to pay. No. Everyone would still think we over paid, even if it was the price needed to beat the Browns offer.
He was efficient today, but Seattle was uncharacteristically sloppy all game. They had guys out of position and falling down in coverage throughout the game on defense, they allowed a punt return. Just a real bad game from them. Watch Foles’ game tying bomb TD pass again, he’s still lofting floaters up off his back foot just like last year. Most games ET is picking that off instead of watching the guy covering fall down while the WR stops and catches the ball like a punt for an easy score. That pass looked like Foles was trying to throw a weighted medicine ball rather than a football. Foles had some good touch throws for sure, but he’s still a limited QB with sub par arm strength that has developed a persistent and fatal flaw of falling backwards and throwing off his back foot on 70-80% of his passes.
INTs will come if he keeps that up too. Had his fumbles issues today too.
I saw one really bad back foot throw. The fumbles were bad. Foles arm is fine. Love his toughness. He’s not an exceptional talent, but I still think he’s got the potential to be a solid NFL starter.
Agreed! He is plenty good to start at QB in the NFL and while probably on the lower end of average, his arm strength is certainly adequate. But, as much as I really like Foles and was sad to see him go, I get it. He is limited. I doubt he’ll ever be great. And, Chip is going broke for greatness, which I love. Can’t commit to a QB that’s good enough if your goal is be great or else. I respect that. Andy Dalton is good enough too. Not sure if the Bengals will ever compete for anything meaningful while he’s their franchise QB.
cause he sucked.
Giants are doing methodically moving the ball down the field and eating the clock this first drive. Mirroring exactly what the Cowgirls did their first drive. Punch it in, little fairies!!!
Nope, trading field goals.
Lots of shaky play calling and piss poor red zone execution by both teams so far.
A lot of meat there for Randle but I guess he wasn’t hungry

Just been able to tune in to Sunday Night game. There’s still time but HAHHHAHHAHHA effin Cowboys. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA.
terrible call
I think they call that the party bus flag.
awful call
Holy shit that’s terrible
bailed out by refs in Dallas. What else is new
Ref’s cheering for Dallas.
Nice pass interference call for the Cowboys. Can’t have them losing a game like this!
Boys are going to win this game unfortunately. Giants have been hanging around with some good fortune but that won’t last.
That PI call is a game-changer for the Giants. They need to score again, which appears to be a challenge for them.
They didn’t even ask the NFL officiating guy who always has an opinion what he thought about the call
Didn’t need to. Awful call.
I just wanted to hear him say it
Here you go https://twitter.com/mikepereira/status/643251710924865536
Lol thank you
Only Chip Kelly can Chip Kelly.
Great ST there, Dallas.
Nice special teams work there, Dallas.
Not seeing gaping holes out there, and this is a baaaaad defense. Not impressed, Cowgirls.
No pressure on romo all game
And still needed help from the refs to get that TD
How many times have the Giants blitzed tonight?
The skill of their defenders makes it hard to tell…
I hate when WRs run sideways instead of up field
This Giants offensive coordinator doesn’t impress me.
What a terrible call there lucky it worked
great block Eli!
I actually respect that.
Eli’s having a very nice, effective and efficient game even if it’s not spectacular. I was hoping to see the Giants win while he looked terrible…oh well, I guess you can’t habe everything.
Ugh!
I bet OBJ would have caught that. It doesn’t seem he’s looking his way much this half.
OBJ hasn’t been OBJ since that hit early in the game. Credit the Crybabies safety. Of course, the safety in question is probably going to owe the NFL money.
That hit looked clean
IMHO, most hits by safeties are ‘clean.’ NFL never seems to agree.
OBJ on that one play (last drive) had single coverage and the Safeties were close to the LOS. I would have taken a shot there.
Why does Parker even play WR? He cant catch…..
He’s their Cooper
Should switch to D.
I don’t think either team wants to win this game
I will say that the Giants tackling skills have been on point. Textbook even.
Beautiful blocking by the OL ever 🙂
LOL Cowboys are going to lose.
Yes!
Beautiful just beautiful and a hit on Romo as well!
Romo should have dodged like he did on the DRC TD
i remember how muh we hated that when foles got lit up
he wasn’t in the play
Romo was actually running to make the tackle in the middle of the play. If i remember correctly Foles was either not attempting to block or the play was over and it was a late hit.
At least Romo was hit while the play was still alive and he was a threat to still make the tackle. Foles was blindside blasted by a 300 pounder with a running start with the play over, the guy already tyackled and he was just slowing up barely jogging as he approached the pile. That was a truly dirty hit.
NY saved by this shaky ass D
lol lol
4 minutes ago:
amazing
It never ends Tommy. You are a savant.
i’m almost left speechless by this game….just weird
I guess the end of the season collapse by the Cowboys happened about 9 months late
Hah! Best comment of the night!
Time to leave on a high note:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EIzei3vAqRY
Dallas not challenging this Defense downfield all game; letting the safeties start to creep down
my family right now
Good thing they paid Crawford!
Cowgirls coming back to the mean. I smell 8-8.
Loving this game… Dez going to locker room, foot problem
fantastic
Cris is stretching for God stuff about the ‘Boys.
That was way way way too easy a drive
how much u wanna bet Eli comes out and throws some moronic interception?
zero
Come one Eli… Need some of that luck to show up.
Wow…Landon Collins! Way to not even attempt to cover Witten. That was the laziest most nonchalant attempt at man coverage I’ve ever seen!
All game long and just 6 looks to OBJ?
Only one of these teams can get the loss tonight, but you have to give both clubs credit for trying to earn it.
But we can still root for a tie so no one wins
no no no we want an 0-2 dallas
That does look so right
makes me smile just thinking about it
You would think they are both playing for the number 1 pick
Been impressed by Vereen. Dammit.
They get a fresh :40 because OBJ decided to go for a jog?
LOL – these officials are funny
I’m confused by resetting it to 40. Not complaining, cause it benefits the Midgets, but that’s a baffling decision.
Make up call for that PI
Don’t people throw the ball downfield anymore?
Not this game… Why do you think the Giants have been bringing their Safeties up
With Dez running to the locker room every quarter, I would too.
Terrence Williams is fast enough to stretch the field
But can he catch a cold?
good point…. But you have to take a shot, even if it is just to back up Collins and Merriweather
Clock management, Eli. Could have burned another 15 seconds there.
Anybody see romo post-cry on the sideline??
Was that the biggest play on either side all game?
Cowgirls sorry D rearing its ugly head. Think the Giant’s OL will start getting pub?
said it before collinsworth got the chance. not sure if you should be happy or questioning your inteligence/level of inebriation after thinking similarly to chris collinsworth
I was being sarcastic. Collinsworth actually seemed to believe it 😛
good ole collinsworth
Beautiful discipline on defense there.
Hype getting to Dallas
Same ol’ Cowboys
This is why culture is important. I’ve said when the going gets rough, Dallas will fall apart because these guys just have a bad culture with that team.
#culture is killing dallas
https://twitter.com/jcorrado19/status/643264204389154816
The clock stops on the penalty, but it will run after the redo of the down, so no change, right?
it seemed like Dallas declined, but the clock still stopped?
Yeah, smart by Garrett. (Damn it)
Eli to odb for the TD please. clinches wins for the giants and my fantasy team.
yeah i need an obj td too
i’m looking at donnell to stand up who knew i should have started giants defense
I need Bradford, JMatt, and Peterson to combine for 15 points tomorrow. I feel pretty good.
I like your odds.
oh I have Mathews, Matthews, Sproles, Eagles D, and Matt Bryant tomorrow, I just wanted to clinch tonight
i have bradford julio carlos hyde, agholar and vernon davis and i need 36, devante adams and cj anderson shit the bed
Julio? Interesting call, Benedict Arnold.
haha i couldnt not draft him just because he plays us week 1. dude is a monster, cj anderson looked bad today. denver just looked bad today
devante and cj ruined my fantasy team today too. Maclin didn’t help with 5 points either, and neither did DT adding another 5. Ugh, my whole team sucked today. brutal
Should be ballgame.
Why wasn’t the clock running after that first down?????
Noticed that too. Wtf- Dallas never called a timeout there
This is where they should go for it!
OMG, Giants trying to give this game away.
Bad teams find ways to lose.
this is bad. this is bad. this is bad.
odds the cowboys miss the gt xp??
Run the damn ball, Andy.
Er, um, Tom.
force of habit
Tony Romo… 4th Quarter… 🙂
Cowboys are going to win this game but it should be over
You know they’re passing, but they keep rushing 4.
Edit: Force of habit.
Not we!!
I changed it right away – force of habit.
Bad teams are painful to root for. I forgot that fact.
how?
Game would be over now if not for bonehead pass play
Or if Eli had let the clock run after they reset it to :40.
That was incredibly stupid
I want to know why the clock didn’t run after ODB first down????
Why is no one talking about this!?!?
who saw that DRC “tackle” attempt?
giants just gave the game away playing conservative
I can’t believe no one is saying anything about this…
Jiminy Christmas!
Giants are so bad
lol
Congratulations, Midgets. You just gave the game away.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iabC7-9YUG4
Wow
lol
Ugh Romo pulls it out again.
Giants played the last drive to not loose the game instead of to win it and this always happens
Okay, so here’s the lesson from Sunday Night Football:
I’m not worried about either the Giants or Cowboys.
cowboys look like they could have blown giants out if they decided to pass the ball at all, gnats are terrible.
Romo had close to 40 passes i think.
Lol. Both of these teams are extremely beatable. We are going 6-0 in this division.
Dallas is in for a rude awakening in a week if they think they deserve this W.
Lots of people left early too.
I seriously just feel like i watched a professional wrestling event…..this whole thing seems fixed…were the giants even trying the last minute
Way to leave 15 seconds on the play clock every play of that last drive Giants. Eli…what a freaking moron!
Every wrong decision you can make, Giants made them. Ugh.
someoe said bad teams find a way to lose
The moment I saw Eli snap the ball with 15 seconds on the clock after they were gifted those extra 40 sec to run off the clock, I knew that was gonna come back to bite them. When he continued leaving 10-15 sec on the play clock every single snap I was dumbfounded. Could have literally burned an extra 45 – 75 seconds off the clock with no effort whatsoever.
the fix is in
You mean bad Giant’s decision making?
Dallas blows….
After watching 3.5 awful quarters, the Cowgirls win in the end..ughh.
So glad I didn’t invest that kinda time
Boys thoroughly outplayed the Giants. 2 defensive gift TDs and Giants still couldn’t win. it will be a tough game especially if Bryant is able to go.
The glass half full version of that is that the Cowboys were sloppy with the ball and undisciplined and only pulled out a victory because their opponent was more so. We won’t be.
Don’t know that and I thought the Boys played pretty well especially since Bryant missed large chunks of the game.
Leaned on Romo an awful though with getting a little too pass happy at time.
They can’t run the ball. If they struggle against the Giants D, they aren’t getting anything with ours.
Too early to say that. I thought it was more shaky play-calling than the lack of production.
Just really hurts the Giants didn’t sneak out a win here. Easy to see them getting swept now for the 3rd consecutive year by the Boys.
They had to keep 6 in to block consistently for Romo. Our defensive front is way better than the Giants. Romo won’t get that time against us. Our LBs can cover their RBs. The only issue right now is how the rest of the secondary plays. We already know Thurmond is a better fit at S, but we don’t know about Carroll in this D yet.
If Dallas can’t establish a run game against us this year, they will have a tough time beating us. They can’t replace Murray and I think it was evident when they were in the RZ.
It was in the red zone. Agreed there but I saw a Boys’ team that was incredibly sloppy, executed poorly at times, gave the Giants 17 pts on turnovers including 2 defensive TDs, and still moved the ball at will and won.
Giants’ victory here really would have helped out the Eagles. Oh well.
Cowboys earned absolutley nothing tonight…the game was given to them on a silver platter by the giants
“Boys thoroughly outplayed the Giants…”
“Don’t know that and I thought the Boys played pretty well…”
“…I saw a Boys’ team that was incredibly sloppy, executed poorly at times, gave the Giants 17 points on turnovers…”
Now which is it? It is almost like you are looking for a reason to worry.
They have some red zone problems tonight and the turnovers. Still thought they outplayed the Giants on both sides of the ball too.
I didn’t think anybody ‘outplayed’ anybody. The whole game was slop. Globbed down in front of us by everyone involved. One thing from the first half. Chip is right. Time of possession means nothing, in spite of the announcers insisting that it would be tough to contain the Cowpokers’ offense. Really? Holding the ball, somehow, for nearly a half and scoring 3 points?
Seriously Why wasn’t the clock running after ODB”S first down????????? This Game was fixed or should at least be under protest!!!!
Wasn’t there an offsides penalty that needed to be declined? Then I imagine it started running after the call was declined.
no it never did it stayed at 1:54
Must be different rule when under 2 minutes, that’s all I can think of?
There should be a runoff when the losing team commits a penalty within 2 minutes in addition to the play clock
Is the wording actually losing team?
i’ve heard there should be a 15 second run-off but i don’t buy that…..lol hell fwiw even when i used to play madden and was losing i would committ a penalty to stop the clock, but after the call the clock would just resume
Probably trailing.
yea the rule is there to keep a trailing team that’s on D from basically gaining an extra timeout by stopping the clock by intentionally committing a penalty when giving up 5 yards is more beneficial than letting the offense run an extra 40 sec off the clock.
the refs gave the boy’s two extra timeouts, one after the mincey personal foul call, and the refs gave the cowboys their timeout back which is BS, if you call a timeout then you called it, that’s it. Then after ODB first down they stopped the clock for the offsides call that was declined, but the giants declined it….don’t know who i’m more pissed at the refs or Coughlin for not recognizing what was going on….this game was a complete sham
I thought it was just the offense in general and the defense can decline the run off, no?
No, I think it is dependent on whether the penalized team is leading or trailing.
I believe it’s defensive. But if the losing team is on offense, you would think the same ruling applies.
I can’t copy it but from another blog, a giants one, someone wrote that in sections 7.1Actions to conserve time: if the penalty is committed by the defense, the play clock will reset to 40 seconds and the game clock will start on the ready signal, unless the offense insits on starting the clock at the snap…….the complete opposite happened here. The refs essentially gave the boys an extra timeout after they committed a penalty
These teams don’t scare me at all
A lot can change. December is when your play starts to count. When you get cheap wins in September, and the season comes down to those, it is all the more bitter.
If we can’t handle these teams there is nothing to look forward to this seasom
No such thing as cheap wins in the NFL and the whole ‘momentum into the playoffs’ has been been debunked.
Cowboys fan already says to me “Tony will come thru clutch next week too”
My reply:
“doubt that highly, we have LBs that can cover RB”
Will tony stop the clock on 1st downs as well?
will the refs start and stop the clock at the Cowboys convienence and give them their timeouts back
i feel like i just watched the 2002 NBA western conference finals all over again
2002? Man, I don’t have all those neatly ordered in my head, what happened?
So Kam is gonna get 4 years 60 M with 59 guaranteed after today huh lol
Yeah, he makes a difference in that game.
Only silver lining that I can think of is that Dallas is seemingly a mentally weak team full of dumbasses and outright criminals, if they lost to the Giamts in a big upset on a national stage they’d come in here angry and looking for redemption. With them pulling a win out of their rear ends they’ll be a lot more likely to feel validated and that they earned it and, ultimately, come into philly more complacent. Even though this game should have been a huge wake up call to them to stop wallowing in the smell of their own arses, they’ll continue to buy the hype and think they’re better than they really are. I dunno…that’s all I got…the ending to that game sucked.
Dez broken bone in foot
That sucks.
Yes want to beat them at their ‘best’. Will have to see if he can come back from this they say 4-6 weeks.
http://www.feistees.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/ysnkm.jpg
Bryant is having surgery ASP. Out 4-6 weeks minimum.
wonder if that’s the julio injury, could be along absence
Seems like one of those things that can linger too.
4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!4-6 weeks!
With Dez out, the Eagles will hold Dallas to 14 points or less next week. My early prediction.
Coughlin and Manning must have studied at the Andy Reid School of Clock Management.
Does anyone remember seeing a study that a team was more likely to lose a game in the last 2 minutes if they were winning by 6 points instead of 3? (I think it was Eagles Rewind or some other advanced football metrics site.) Reason being is that teams will play for the tie when losing by 3 instead of going for the win when up by 6.
Giants totally screwed up the whole last 2 minutes of that game. Dallas at best should have had the ball back with under 20 seconds down by 3 inside their own 5 yard line. Giants should have ran it 4 times from the 1 yd line.
Sophie’s Choice if you are a Boys’ fan:
– Lose tonight or have a healthy Bryant?
Their passing game is built around him including in the red zone.
Cowboys rookie DE Randy Gregory has a high ankle sprain, out 4-6 weeks
Couple of costly injuries for the Boys tonight.
This time tomorrow night we’ll be writing about the eagles win over Atlanta.
I’ll be there. Hopefully I’ll be celebrating.
don’t jinx it, any given sunday.
But today is Monday. 🙂
Cowboys dominated at the line of scrimmage, but only won the game because of a terrible pass interference call and bad clock refereeing. Giants decisions were terrible as has been said. Kempski has been criticizing the Cowboys pass blocking, but it was hard to tell if the Cowboys were that good or the Giants pass rush was just really terrible. No sacks and nothing remotely close to a sack. McFadden had a bad game, Randle broke a few but went down easily and they won’t be durable.
Oh, and plus they lost Dez Bryant and Randy Gregory for a month, so no Gregory or Hardy against the Eagles. I actually wanted Washington to win because it would hurt their draft pick, but at least the Cowboys hurt their draft pick with what should turn out to be a pointless win.
+ the Giants are awful. Wasn’t sure they’d be a pushover but they’re really bad.
i agree – i thought the Giants looked genuinely awful. their DL looks weak without JPP, and i’m not sure he’d make it much better. their LBs looked awful. at least Merriwether (sp?) had a big play, but other than that, their DBs didn’t look great either (i’ll forgive DRC for the phantom PI call in the endzone, that was BS)
their offense seems just as bad. ODB is going to need a half dozen circus catches a game to keep this offense moving down the field. Jennings looked pretty good when given a chance, though. Flowers looked a little rough, and seemed to be limping halfway through the game.
Flowers is being rushed at LT, then he hurt his leg and stayed in. He could improve as the season goes on but then again, he may not improve much this year. The Giants D is using the waiver wire to field 11 guys.
@ Philly
vs Atl
@ NO
vs NE
Bye
You have to hope that the Boys lose 3 of those 4 games for what is a somewhat depleted roster with no Hardy, Byrant, etc. Think the Boys split.
No Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory (or of course Scandrick) against Bradford, Matt Ryan, and Brees. Hardy comes back for Tom Brady. Those are the guys Bryan Jones gets his feet wet in the NFL against. & of course no Dez for that. These injuries may bother them or put them out longer: surgery for Dez and a high ankle sprain for Gregory.
So Coughlin is accepting blame but Manning said it was his fault for the play-calling and clock management.
Never ceases to me amaze me at the NFL level where teams have such ample resources that they routinely screw up this issue at the end of a half/game.
Simple solution: take the fucking sack you moron. You’re still in automatic FG range and you get to run 40 seconds off the clock. The worst possible thing he could have done is throw the ball away and stop the clock.
yeah. No matter what the play call was, that was unforgivable, especially for a 10 year veteran qb. I couldn’t believe it when he threw the ball away instead of taking the sack. So dumb
you’d think a guy making 22m would be aware.
Mike Pereira tweeted out that the Clock stops after a defensive penalty and stays stopped when inside 2 min left in 2nd qtr. and 5 min. of 4th qtr. even if declined…….why??? why have a penalty benefit the penalized team….just another rule the NFL needs to fix. And even with that, this is just a giant chokejob by the Giants…worse than the meadowlands part 2 IMO
Romo throw 45 times tonight. 4 more attempts than any game last year and that game was an OT win vs Houston.
Averaged just 27 attempts/game last year. Romo isn’t going to make it through a season I bet if they keep any where that kind of place even if the Cowboys do employ a lot of 6/7 blocker schemes on passing downs.
I’d agree with this, except I’m not sure a Giant’s defender managed to breathe on Tony, let alone tackle him, on those 45 throws. Different story when Dallas has to play real defenses.
So the almighty combo of McFadden and Randle ran 22 times for 81 yards.
Meatless Monday was a day early this week.
Randle: I’m a vegan now
And the greatest line in history had trouble opening holes against that depleted front.
Watching Mariota highlights today and it seems Wishenhunt made a very good gameplan for him. On the pop pass at the start of the game, everybody including the cameraman was faked
That was right out of Chips play book.
Rashad Jennings was told not to score on 1st and goal from the 4, and 2nd n goal from the 2 After the two minute warning… Brilliant
..
Annoyed JP won’t get to prison rape Randy Gregory next week
If they were going to scheme that way (ie., don’t score) then at least follow thru and keep running the ball all four downs.
I don’t see how on 3rd down you can think that the chances of scoring on a pass are > than the benefit of [the possibility of scoring on a run plus the time runs off the clock]. Wouldn’t the math have to be something like we think this pass gives us an 75% chance of scoring but the run only like a 25% chance of scoring, so we HAVE to pass and risk stopping the clock.
I just don’t understand how this can happen.
yea, just kneel. and snap the ball at 0 seconds left on the clock (god knows they don’t call that a delay if youre the cowboys)
That doesn’t make sense. If he scores they go up by 10. If that is true, it is beyond stupid
Lol I never said it made sense..
Do you have a link or something to back this up? I’m not seeing it anywhere, and as mentioned it makes zero sense for this to be true. Where did you get this from?
Yeah i haven’t seen any links regarding jennings being told not to score, but as to the second part of the statement, he’s saying that hes disappointed that he wont be able to see Jason peters dominate randy Gregory when we play them next week since gregory is gonna be out for a few weeks with a high ankle sprain
http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/giants/post/_/id/44016/the-number-of-different-ways-the-giants-blew-this-game-is-unbelievable
Couple of quotes from the article… sounds like Manning may have screwed up worse than I realized. And “trying to not score” would only make sense if they had a 1-point lead. Maybe they realized their screwup later then tried to score on the last play… and messed that up by not taking the sack.
quotes:
“As a running back, it’s really tough when they tell you not to score,” Jennings said.
…
So who was telling him not to score and why? This from Eli Manning may help explain:
“I thought they had used their last timeout on that play to Odell when we got the first down,” Manning said. “I thought that they only had one timeout left after that. I guess since there was a penalty, even though we declined it, for some reason that stops the clock.”
Eli took responsibility for telling him not to score according to TV, I haven’t checked any sites online yet today
Wow, that is an awesome level of ineptitude. The real question to me, though, is why Eli was the one thinking about all of those things. Eli’s role should be to lead the 11 guys on the field. There are guys wearing headsets that should be thinking about these things.
A full 1/5th of my suicide pool would have been out if Giants won.
I believe it was Runyan who told Westbrook not to score a few years ago. Of course, that was a situation with a 1-point lead and Dallas was in fact out of timeouts, meaning it was smart. So the time management here can basically be put all on Manning — 1) snapped the ball way too early giving Dallas about 30 free seconds, 2) was not aware that penalties stop the clock even if declined in the last five minutes of a game (the refs even helpfully told them the penalty came before the timeout) so thought Dallas only had one timeout when in fact they had two, 3) told the running back not to score when a score would have sealed the game, and not scoring would have given Dallas the ball back (even if he had been right about the timeouts), and 4) threw the ball away instead of taking the sack which gave them 40 more seconds. The coaches screwed up by giving Eli that decision in the first place, and by not going for it on 4th down, but it should have been over by then.
That can’t possibly be correct. Why would anyone try not to go up by two scores with less than 2 minutes left? That only makes a little sense if you would be extending your lead to 8 points and if you have the ability to run out all of the clock. They had neither of those things. They can’t be that dumb, can they?
Eli took the blame for telling him back t to score
So, yes. Yes they can. The best part is the coaches apparently weren’t coaching and the guy screwing things up is a financial albatross for the rest of the decade.
This is hilarious! What a dope. I’m convinced Eli has extra chromosomes floating around in there.
Cowboy are exactky what we thought, an Undiscaplined group of punks. Stay mentally tough and discaplined and we beat that team…
..
Giamts have to have the worst pass rush in the league. I don’t understand, they tried to steal Brandon Graham in free agency. After we signed BG, didn’t they bother to look at any other pass rushers?
I think after we signed BG there weren’t really any pass rushers left.
B- Dawk is predicting Eagles to beat the ,Pats in the Super Bowl and he says you can’t call that a homer pick because he says he hasn’t picked the Eagles to win anything since he left philly
It’s crazy to me how much disparity there is in how that stuff is handled. Foles takes a clear cheap shot (even if it was a millisecond before the whistle) against the Redskins and Peters runs over and shoves the offender. Sure he starts a fight, but it wasn’t some obscene gladiator nonsense, just shoving and grabbing. He’s immediately ejected!
Pacman Jones, a known moron and thug of epic proportions, rips an opposing players helmet off and then smashes his head against said helmet in a vicious attempt to, I can only assume kill him right then and there on the field, for absolutely no reason at all. And, he gets a 15 yard penalty.
Thoughts from Sunday
1.Not sad about Suggs
2. Foles keeps Folesin, doesn’t looks amazing, somehow manages to always leave the field with a lead.
3. Mariotta>Winston
4. Heck of a final drive out of Romo to win the game last night. No Dez, I thought they were toast.
5. (refresh) Just take the sack idiot http://digitaldeconstruction.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/eli-manning-dumb-face.jpg
the level of inept clock management at the end of that game makes all of the AR-era gripes we had seem meaningless.
Yeah that was terrible. About a full minute gifted to the Cowboys shear idiocy. The rest was the football gods turning against man-kind. A declined off-sides penalty still stops the clock it turns out. Penalties just seemed to keep stopping that clock.
Still might be my favorite all pic of Eli.
Mariota >>>>> Winston
But, I thought that was obvious from a year ago. Winston has absolute LB blindness. I’ve never seen such a highly thought of prospect that throws so many INT right to opposing players in underneath coverage. He’s got bust written all over him.
He has no chance to develop into anything in Tampa. It happens over and over and over. Bad franchise with defense-minded coach gets his hands on a shiny new QB to run into the dirt. Winston’s confidence is his crutch. Once it gets beat out from under him, he will be done.
Foles can make some big plays when there’s no one within 5 yards of his tight ends. I wonder if Seattle will start covering them next week, or…?
Moses didn’t bring no boats to get across the Red Sea. Who needs them when you can call down a miracle and walk. That’s Foles. He just parts the defense and throws it to his guy. Miracle man.
The throw in overtime was a beauty though.
He taketh away, yet he also giveth back. Witness his two sack-fumble giveaways.
Was it me or did ODB look a little concussed after that big hit he took early on?
Sundays take-aways: Suggs gets his due, DeSean hobbles up, LeSean averages 2yds a carry, the Cowboys are obviously overrated, and the Giants obviously stink. Not a bad day.
cary williams scored on a fumble recovery 🙁
..but they lost 🙂
Seahawks secondary gave up more big plays than usual though
Dudes were running wide open all game. Foles badly under threw the long TD pass when the safety just simply fell down.
Was any of it actually on Williams? I didnt get to see the game. just the highlight of his sack/FF/FR/return for TD.
And DRC.
And DRC.
off foles no less
So after watching DAL-NYG last night, my only question is in which game will our margin of victory be higher? ATL or DAL?
I’m assuming we win by 30 tonight, so I’m leaning towards ATL, but after watching DAL struggle to move the ball against the Giants, and since they lost Gregory & Bryant, it’s gonna be closer than I thought in terms of who we beat by more.
dallas might want to start Weeden next Sunday, just take the L andsave Romo. Murray couldnt run against eagles, cant believe a rungame that struggled against Giants will come alive in a week.
.
eagles will score a ton against that defense. hope Davis bring 5 or 6 from all over the place, pounds Romo into submission. that back has to have broad side of barn size bulls-eye now.
Was thinking the same thing. Romo’s back is not one that should be carrying a team.
they kept saying in that game that the OL was keeping Romo clean, but he definitely took a few shots, especially on that INT return where he was hit. on DRCs fumble return, Romo tried to get in the way and it looked like he pulled up.
Eli was moving the ball at will against the Cowboys. Scary to think what our team can do against that D if that’s a true measure of how well (or poorly) they are capable of playing.
Hopefully the Cowboys will be talking about draft position by the time those 2 come back.
Chip’s latest plan of Dez signing new mega contract and breaking foot Week-1 is going swimmingly…. i can see Chip looking like Mr. Burns rubbing his fingers together saying “excellent”
I haven’t done anything at work so far except look at my clock.
I got pulled pork in the oven now, and my sister is coming down for the game. I’m working from home and I’m am struggling to keep focused. Had some stuff I had to get out this morning, but come 3 PM, I’m done.
“I got pulled pork in the oven”
Hey now!
Well, while you are out there on the west coast watching at 4:00, feel bad for those of us on the east coast that have to wait until 7:00.
#doesntunderstandtimezones
LOL – I’m on the East coast. 3PM is when I finish work and start my home tailgate.
Wow, even better. What time do you want us to arrive for the pulled pork?
If you want to drive to DC, be my guest.
I got a car, I can pick up people on my way from New Jersey.
Well I’m right off of 50, we welcome any and all Eagles fans. This year is the inauguration of the Annual Opening Day Game. So right now it’s just pulled pork. Next year I’ll figure out something else to make this better. Maybe some buffalo chicken dip in the crockpot as an appetizer.
the time after i get home to the time the game starts is going to feel like FOREVER
I have to go to 2 classes this afternoon. I’m sure I’ll be highly productive.
That week 1 injury bug has me all kinds of worried. A lot of huge names went down yesterday…
Hopefully our training and conditioning gives us an advantage. Tired players get hurt more often.
Plus smoothies. The secret edge.
…..i said earlier, but i think the Giants are going to get some flack from the league about OBJ gettin back on the field so quick…. dude was lost when he got back up.
i missed the play, did he look that bad?
saw the ‘highlight’ of the Keuchly play. thats scary. will probably give more attention to those type of plays this week
Yeah,he didnt exactly look like he was fully aware of what was going on around him after that hit. To his credit though he did make some key catches after the hit. kid can ball concused or not.
i fell asleep the 2nd half, but after i saw his full stat line i wasn’t sure what happened.
Likely, he wasn’t either.
The Giants aren’t responsible there. 3rd party evaluators(meaning, no team doctor, for either team) do the evaluations on the sidelines. They do the protocol and have final say. Coach has no say once a player is helped off the field. I have no idea if he was helped off the field or not but if he was, Giants aren’t at fault.
The Line and the nature of the week 1 madness I’m afraid tells me that this should be a closer game then we think, but when I look at the matchup I just don’t see how I can even make a case for a close game, so while I can’t shake the closer then it needs to be feeling, im going to believe chip has this team ready to not Play down to the level of competition and make a statement tonight….
..
I don’t see how atlantas coach can run the simplistic Seattle devense against us with inferior personnel.. But if they really do use their secondary the way Seattle does, like the Pats in the Super Bowl, Sam should be able to light that defense up with underneath crossing routes and we have some monster crossing route weapons with yac ability, Jordan, Huff, Agholar, sproles..
..
Another way to attack Seattle secondary is go with 4 Go Routes (3 WRs and a TE).. Bradford should find a weapon down the seam..
..
Might be a good idea to stay away from Trufant simply because after him there is a big drop off in DB talent, or we can just say fuck it like Big Balls fOles throwing at Sherm..,William Moore doesn’t scare me, and if they put rookie Jalen Collins at Nickel, Jordan should devour him..
..
Love to see the OL step up, make a statement and not allow Bradford to get touched, but if Sam is elite, he has to help the OL look even better then it is the way Brady helped his line so much against Pitt getting that ball out so quick..
..
As much as I would love to see Bradford go bonkers on this defense tonight, we have time for that, wouldn’t mind seeing the OL and our RBs dominate this game and have Bradford not have to attempt many passes like Murray did for romo last year…
..
Cox Bennie, Ced, Kiko and Kendricks put on a show tonight, and Curry has a big game, along with Barwin who should dominate the RG… Atlanta RBS held to 3.4 yards per carry.. Make sure Julio gets all his yards in garbage time when we are in prevent…
I’m not underestimating Atlanta at all, they are a good football team. Matt and Julio are certainly dangerous but I think we match up well in all other aspects of the game. Eagles win 34-24.
they have missed on many picks on their O-Line
Need 4 on the ground 4 in the air. Then we can sit Bradford in the second half. He at least needs to post more than files and mariota
Too much is being said about the Cowboys sucking. They still have a top 5 offensive line and a top 5 QB. Sean Lee is coming back after missing 1.5 years of football and in 6 weeks both Gregory and Hardy should be back fresh and healthy. By November the Cowboys should be really good.
Remember how bad the Giants looked early in 2011. Once their players came back healthy and rested they were able to make a super bowl run.
Sean Lee looked really good.
is there ever really too much to be said about the cowboys sucking?
Don’t know if this has already been said, but it looks like RG3 is taking on the “Kinne role” in DC. Watch out.
yeah, it’s sad really. And they picked up his option for next year so it’s like never ending.
Kinne wishes he’d get 16 million for playing scout team safety…
Hey Tommy, I’m getting a sore finger from reclicking Iggles Blitz looking for the Game Preview. Hint, hint, my friend.
Maybe when he gets home from work, or something like that?
I know, it’s hard to accept that T-Law might have a life separate from Iggles Blitz.
he needs some help from kickstarter to at least cover costs of PBR/Funyuns
this is the reason that Patreon exists – people provide a small amount of money to allow content creators like Tommy to have some more regular income from stuff like this.
Russell Wilson said the Seahawks may go up-tempo on offense more often this year.
“The up-tempo, the no-huddle, just putting pressure on their defense and making plays, that was huge for us,” Wilson said after Seattle’s Week 1 loss. “It’s something we may have to consider trying to hop into that if we’re having a little bit of a lull.”
what a concept.
so collegiate
Oh man, now they’ve done lost the respect of Bruce Arians.
Maxwell gets toasted, eagles lose and Bradford goes down for season. My prediction
My prediction is you won’t be found on this blog when they win.
They won?
I win. You lose
sanchize could beat the falcons. what will be interesting to see is if bradford can match foles’ toughness
I doubt it and lets hope he doesn’t have to.
because we know Murray is tougher then everybody
I’ll bet he’s motivated, too, with all the trash talk coming from Dallas and Shady.
My prediction is we won’t find out this week, as Bradford goes untouched in the pocket.
I am always so tense for the first game of the year. Weird stuff happens.
i.e. Jacksonville 364 days ago
Same. Good news is that whatever happens, still 15 games to play and make it right.
I guess, but I’m thinking this year the oline will look like a well oiled machine against mediocre talent with a new scheme tonight. But that’s just my take.
False.
tebowfanqq
YOU still awake?
Is this Bruce Arians/Heath Evans? I knew it!
Shady – stop coming to this site…
YOU still there?
not an anti-Chipite!? only thing worse is an anti-Dentite…
You there
I have been really calm all day but sitting at this airport bar starting to get me really antsy. Starting to pace back n fourth like a lion in his cage at the zoo when he knows it’s almost feeding time. The worst possible place to be when you are this antsy is a two hour plane ride cramming my 6’3 legs in a tiny airplane seat.. The rest of this day is going to be torture
you seem to travel quite a bit… work related?
on the run / avoiding “the man” …
Roger Goodell?
Both work and pleasure. I have no family in Philly, but yes work keeps me spending way too much time on trains and airports
You realize you’re not playing, right?
ha, we are all playing tonight
I am playing, will miss the game because of a gig. However, there is a TV within sight so I will probably get to see a lot of it!
Don’t play any blues and jinx us.
i get the same way. i hate night games because i’m usually so amped up that i can’t sleep until like 2 AM. only way i get a decent amount of sleep is if we are cruising to a huge win that is all but wrapped up before the 4th quarter starts. haha
Hope you are where you want to be by 7:30pm.
*7PM
Hey, GEAGLE, listen to Avery Greene and not to me.
I forgot because my buddies and I are recording the game and getting together at 7:30.
Hopefully Nate Allen doesn’t have torn ACL, he was a good guy while here and is playing in the black hole, so no ill will.
Underrated moment from Sunday: Nick Foles *scrambling* for a touchdown against the Seahawks. He actually looked pretty nimble doing it to, you know, for Nick Foles at least.
Man the hype train is rolling in Buffalo. I would LOVE to see the Bills be good this year. Love their jerseys and love Rex, still wish he was fat Rex though.
Defense is good and Taylor seems like a better Sanchez
Skinny Rex is like Skinny Jonah Hill. Imagine if Chris Farley or John Candy had gastric bypass, they would have been out of acting in a year lol.
but alive
you’re right the 27 club is in music lol
Rex = overrated.
Sidenote: Antonio Cromartie has a sprained knee, he has NEVER MISSED A GAME DUE TO INJURY IN 10 YEARS!!!! That is amazing because he still produces….if only it ran in the family.
DRC actually played well last night
….yeah we will be good in a few years anyway because Antonio Cromartie has like 11 kids, one of them is bound to be a decent DB lol
aside from that godawful pass interference call. the league really needs to get a way for coaches to challenge penalties like that.
they throw cow-pies on the field and call bullsh*t!
but but then refs can’t fix games for some teams..
i really think the competition committee is going to have a lot of work this offseason. the uncertainty with the Bradford hit earlier, the vagueness and subjectiveness of the ‘WR maintaining a catch through the ground’ rule, the stupidity of the clock stopping on a declined penalty in NYG/DAL, all the BS the pats have been doing that everyone hates (outside of the almost obvious cheating)
and we’re only in week one!!!
Even then, you’ll get the thin zebra-striped line. Who’s going to review the challenge? Other officials -and they’ll stick with the discretion of the other refs most of the time.
He did a fine job on Bryant and got ripped-off on the pi penalty.
Yup. I was kinda shocked when he tackled Randle. He never did anything like that when he was here. .
His time here was like a weird sandwich – a slice of suck in between two pieces of solid D.
since dawkins ahs picked the eagles to win the superbowl, is the jinx over?
and this will be our best season for safety play?
Who returns punts tonite?
Sproles I would think to start.
Saw this coming after they released LaMichael James. Annoying.
https://twitter.com/TesslerSports/status/643487001400987648
that didn’t take long…
damn. oh well. wishing the kid the best. hopefully he will find his way back here to succeed with us!
Damn. We are going to have to find some other young talent if we want to get the fivepeat now.
in honor of moses we only need fo’ fo’ fo’
That was a glorious time.
MM is going to be doubling the amount of hate mail he sends at Kenjon Barner 😛
Desean out 4 weeks
dez out 4-6
DJ Fluker out for atleaey a month
Randy Gregory out atleaey a month
Jets crimartie torn ACL
Scumbag Suggs out for the year
..
Too many injuries, I would rather lose tonight and stay health then win and los players to injury
Cromartie is week to week. MRI’s came back clean. Still he shouldn’t be a factor when we play them. Would almost be better for us if he did try to play gimpy
Redskins SS Duke Ihenacho needs surgery for a fractured wrist, and will be sidelined 6-8 weeks.
Matchups tell me Eagles blowout win
The Line scares the shit Out of me. If the Eagles were a 10 point favorite on the road I would kick my feet up and have no concerns about tonight. But that line is scary.. Only being a 3pt favorit is similar to the Dolphins only being a 3pt favorite in DC…. Although weren’t the bengals only a 3pt favorite @ Oakland?
..,
But if tonight is going to be a close 1-3pt win, what has to happen for the Falcons to make it a close game?
1) if I missed the game and woke up tomorrow to a 1pt eagle win, the first thing I would assume is we lose someone key to injury
…
2) For Atlanta to make it a close game, they probably would need their ST to outclass our elite ST unit. Our kicker would need to miss multiple FGs and our coverage units would have to give up a ST TD and maybe fumble on one of our returns.. Be very dissapointed if our ST doesn’t flex its muscles tonight and show how superior they are
..
3) Julio would need to score at least 21 points on his own and I have a hard time believing we would let Julio beat us. If anything we should be forcing someone besides Julio to beat us
..
4) Atlanta can’t win without winning the turnover battle..
..
When I look at the Matchups it’s so hard to envision how the Falcons would win in most of those areas..
..
The Line is really screwing with my pregame confidence.. Las Vegas has been high on us in terms of Super Bowl odds, hopefully they are way off bqe about tonight… Week 1 always scares me and Vegas odds aren’t helping any
Well thing is 1st games are weird. Dallas was twice the team that the Giants were last night and yet conspired to try and loose the game bar some top class idiocy from Manning/Coughlin.
Last year the Eagles laid an egg in the first half against the Jags.
Considering the ‘3’ points normally given to a home team, Vegas is saying we are a TD better than the Falcons on a neutral field and considering the amount of turn over on both sides of the ball for us that is still some healthy respect.
Think we win and win easily – reminds me of the line we had opening against the Redskins 2 years ago – easy money for someone plugged into the team.
Turnovers can change any game.
Also, we may have better players but they still need to execute and beat the man in front of them. A few seemingly small mistakes can sway what should be an easy game.
Bad news fans lost their man crush Mostert to Dolphins who signed him to replace lamicheal james
that’s cold.
lazor strikes again
He slices through our scrubs like… like a Lazor.
Happy that Mostert gets a shot (and some $$), but sad to see him go.
yeah Barner has more experience but less talent.
Do not smoke weed before commenting
you think Barner has more talent than Mostert?
significantly less potential than Mostert. We’re not at zero young RBs in the stable.
tonight is the night we see big josh huff rock out on some fools
I feel like he could be a really tough runner with the ball in his hands…. just so jittery last year. Hopefully things have slowed down.
Rashad Jennings tells ESPN’s Dan Graziano he was told not to score on
1st- and 2nd-and-goal on New York’s final drive Sunday evening.
This seemed so obvious to me, but at the end the of the day giants coaches blew the game. would have been a huge win for them.
I heard this earlier and found it hard to believe. Apparently it is true, though: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2015/09/what_happened_why_eli_manning_was_never_told_to_ta.html
I can’t fathom the logic at all. If you have the chance to put your team up by 10 points, two scores, you take it. The only thing crazier is Eli not taking the sack.
sounds like the whole team was confused as hell, which is crazy for an NFL team with a QB with a decade of experience and a coach with even more.
NO ONE KNEW HOW MANY TIMEOUTS THE COWBOYS HAD!
they thought they could run it on first and then when dallas used their (thought to be) last timeout, they would have it easy to run out the clock.
what really boggles my mind is – if you were really this confused about it, why not call a timeout??!?!
why not let the clock run to 00 and call a timeout?
holy fuck, guys.
if this shit happened in philly, oh god. i don’t want to think about it. something something tebow.
On the entire drive, Eli was calling for the ball before the clock ticked all the way down.
oh my god. it was MADDENING. i expect to see that crap from a rookie or something. Eli has been around long enough to…. oh wait. maybe he really is as dumb as we all joke about…
Not maddening, the term to describe something stupid done by someone who should know better is: Mannining.
idiot savant
minus “savant”
Coughlin must have grown senile in his old age, holy fuck that’s bad.
Side note regarding the confusion about remaining timeouts, do the stadium scoreboards not have some kind indicator of how many timeouts each team has left? For good reason I have never been in an NFL stadium
Was Mariota that good or was Tampa Bay that bad? I say both, Lovie Smith does nothing for me as a coach.
he was pretty good, but tampa was the worst team in football last year. that sad their whole division is mediocre.
Tebow to practice squad …
speaking of practice squad — are teams allowed to poach players prior to week 1 games(meaning last week). I guess if they can take a player before a team plays Monday night, the answer is yes?
wow
Who said Tebow to P squad?
me. I can’t back that up…
you need an “I think” or an “I predict” if that’s all you are saying.
Tebow isn’t even eligible.
🙂
I usually go with “I’m hearing…” or “I’m getting reports…” because in the history of Internet commenting, nothing true has ever followed those words in a comment section.
“my sources tell me…”
“the scuttlebutt is…”
“a guy I know who dated a girl who knows a guy who works at Novacare said…”
“Chip came to me in a dream and told me…”
wouldn’t matter what I started it with – he’s not eligible…that was joke…
Don’t get your Jeter cap in a twist; I was just adding to A_T_G’s list of phrases.
“I read on Philly dot com…”
“Florio said…”
You win.
….he’s playing safety.
Ahh good, lets take a page from WAS Team
Tebow isn’t eligible for the PS/.
POS more likely.
I am so bored and antsy that I am thinking to myself, “damn Tyrod Taylor’s shirt is fly as hell with the barbed wire pattern”…..
Bills coach Rex Ryan says he won’t be game planning for Patriots RB Dion Lewis in Week 2.
“(I) don’t think we’re gonna focus on that kid,” Ryan said. “I can’t even tell you that kid’s name. But you’re gonna focus on the guy throwing the ball, I’ll tell you that much.”
Bills are going to be fun. I’m glad he stayed in the division.
