Being down 29-0 to the 3-win Bengals was rock bottom. Right? That just has to be.

That better be.

I expect the Eagles to play better today. This is a rivalry game. The Eagles are at home. And I think all the questions about effort bothered the players and will bring out a different side of them. Will it be enough to win? That’s hard to say. Both the Skins and Eagles are on a losing streak right now so it’s hard to say what teams we will see today.

Bad news for the OL. Brandon Brooks is ill and will miss the game. That puts rookie Isaac Seumalo in at RG for the second time this season. The Eagles played a rookie OL in the first Skins game and that didn’t go so well. At least this isn’t Seumalo’s debut. He has played in several games this year.

DGB is out so there will be just 4 WRs. That means the Eagles will likely use a lot of 2 TE sets. Trey Burton will be more important.

No Barner is interesting. Is this performance related or does it have to do with some illness/injury? Wendell Smallwood will be a KOR. We’ll have to wait and see who else is back there with him. Wonder if Paul Turner gets a look.

CJ Smith and Steven Means are active. We’ll have to see how much they play.

This is an important game. If the Eagles want to remain alive for the playoffs, they need to win. Maybe more importantly, this team needs a good showing. The last 3 weeks have been ugly. The Eagles need to play well. The offense, defense and STs have to help each other.

That’s not good.

We need to see a total team effort today.
