Injury Update

Josh Norman is OUT this Mon vs. Eagles.
— Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) October 21, 2017
That’s big news. Norman is the best CB for the Skins. Take him out and Alshon Jeffrey should have the upper hand on whoever tries to cover him.
The Skins have some depth at CB, but no one as good as Norman. Bashaud Breeland is the other usual starter and he’s banged up right now. It sounds like he’ll play, which could actually be a good thing. Breeland is more of a big guy than an athlete. If you put him on Torrey Smith, Smith can run by him. Jeffrey is just flat out better than Breeland.
Quinton Dunbar and Kendall Fuller have each started games this year so they do have some experience. Rookie Fabian Moreau is very talented, but hasn’t played as much.
DE Jonathan Allen went on IR this week. The rookie hasn’t had a huge year, but started all five games. Losing him will take a key body out of the front seven.
The knee injury that Trent Williams is dealing with ultimately will require surgery that’s typically followed by a five- to six-month recovery process, the left tackle told The Washington Post on Saturday.
But Williams’s hope is to continue playing despite the pain, as he did in last week’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers, and delay surgery until after the 2017 season.
“The ligament that holds my kneecap in the socket needs to be reconstructed at some point,” said Williams, a five-time Pro Bowl honoree. “It’s like a five-, six-month surgery, I think, in recovery time. I’m just trying to hold off on that as long as possible. Hopefully get through the season and revisit it in the offseason.”
He’s clearly tougher than I am.
Williams’ backup is out for this game so Trent basically has to play. It will be interesting to see if Vinny Curry and Derek Barnett can have some success against him.
As for the Eagles…
Eagles LB Jordan Hicks says he's playing vs. Washington https://t.co/NtOlrZi0WM
— Philly Inquirer (@PhillyInquirer) October 21, 2017
Sounds like Hicks will be back. And Lane Johnson will be at RT. That’s huge with Ryan Kerrigan coming after Carson Wentz.
Ronald Darby has begun practicing, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll play. The Eagles are getting pretty good corner play right now so there is no need to rush him back. Let Darby get completely healthy for the stretch run.
It will be good to get Wendell Smallwood back in the lineup. Corey Clement and Kenjon Barner aren’t at his level. Smallwood is a key 3rd down receiver and has the most athleticism of all the RBs.
One of the benefits to playing a Thursday night game was all the extra time off to let the players get healthy.

Is this declaring your solidarity with Malcolm Jenkins?
In a way .. Its my fistpump emoji for all eagles, all exEagles, and all eagles fans
Is it just me, or is a closeup fist somehow disgustingly sexual?
Yuck. .not me. .downvote..but I’m taking it down so no one else has to experience that.
Wonder how this season stacks up vs all the others in terms of injured players .. seems like mode than ever this season
I hope people think about that when we debate whether to sign Patrick Robinson or not next off season.
TRADE HIM FOR HALF OF A 7th
Why?
FOR THE VALUE HINKIE WOULD DO IT NEED MOAR LATE ROUND PICKS
Nope. Hinkie garnered 2nd round picks like they were going out of style. At worst, HR should get a 2nd 1/2 pick.
That might be out of our hands if somebody offers him a multi-year deal of large value. With Darby, Jones, Mills, and Douglas in the mix there might not be a prudent $ expenditure on Darby. But if he wants to come back on the same one year…………..
I personally don’t see him getting a big long term deal but he’ll get a raise to 2-3 million a year so it may not be in the cards. He’s gonna be 31 next September.
I think we bring him back at the right price. . That how you thinking it ?
OT but Kansas…poor Kansas. It’s almost too sad to laugh.
http://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=400934532
I don’t see a problem, their punter had a 67 yarder.
I laughed hard.
“Ronald Darby has begun practicing, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll play. The Eagles are getting pretty good corner play right now so there is no need to rush him back. Let Darby get completely healthy for the stretch run.”
That’s good in and of itself, but they should’ve said “6 to 8” instead of “4 to 6!”
Yeah, when he got injured it looked worse than 4 to 6.
Exactly, which is why I’m not giving him the Kendricks “day to day” abuse that resulted in a 4 week lay down. I honestly thought Darby’s foot was going to have to be amputated, but I would have liked an authentic time window.
Hopefully he is 100% next week then.
Honestly, every game without him should still be a win until after the bye week. I just want him 100% as we embarrass the F out of Dallas as Zeke suspended and we further expose Dak as an overrated and over-lucky turd.
“Williams’ backup is out for this game so Trent basically has to play. It will be interesting to see if Vinny Curry and Derek Barnett can have some success against him.”
Don’t worry, Williams will still hold more than any other LT in football and get called for it almost never.
Wins by Flyers, Penn State, and Astros – good.
Loss by Sixers – bad.
Today’s needed results
Tampa over Bills – F U idiot McDermott
Bears over Panthers – maybe Scam will start honoring his press conference obligations again
Titans over Browns – Titans are probably my suicide pool pick
Saints over Packers – Need the Saints to keep winning in-conference as protection against a Panther playoff run
Colts over Jags – need the Tom Coughlin fluffing to stop immeidately
Cards over Rams – we need the Rams beat up and diminished by the time we play them later in the year
Jets over Dolphins – Todd Bowles is the coach of the year so far
Vikings over Ravens – Unless Joe Webb is playing, I kind of enjoy watching the Vikings win
Niners over Cowboys – DUH
Seattle over Giants – Double Duh, hopefully somebody scary on Seattle ends Eli’s undeserved games played streak.
Bengals over Steelers – nothing, except NY sports misery, is as good as Western PA misery.
Broncos over Chargers – Chargers being pitiful is funny, especially with a piece of trash like Bosa on the team. I’m still beaming that Lane shut that turd down.
Patriots over Falcons – I know it isn’t popular here, but I like watching the Patriots win and I don’t like Matt Ryan because he was too good for West Chester Area School District schools; so F him.
I really like your mix of objectivity intertwined with love and hate, MM. It makes for great reading and frivolity. Probably not a good way to win your pool, but what the heck.
Just a couple of things: why not have the Giants do a beatdown of future oppornent, Seattle? Of are we just conceding that one? I hate the Hawks and their haughty fandom. Also, I know that McDermott did not acquit himself well as the heir to JJ, but I’m willing to let that one go.
Finally, I must admit that I don’t have a feel for the outcome on Monday night. Logic tells me that the Iggs should win by a TD or less. However, ingrained Philly insecurity borne by 70 years of enduring sports tragedies (the worst being the monumental collapse of the ‘64 Phillies) has me on edge.
I’m only taking one game in my pool; so that remains the Titans. The other games are just rooting outcomes.
I actually like Seattle because they shut down the brutally ugly Kaep/Harbaugh alliance in San Fran, scoring a win for real quarterbacking. And I’d prefer to see all NY teams rot in perpetual abject misery.
There is no letting go of McDermott until he apologizes for his horrible work here, obnoxious bragging about “12th in yards” with a 30 year bad red zone D being glossed over, and subjects himself to a public series of recriminations for his poor coaching and uppity attitude.
And I hear you on the “edge” stuff for Monday night, but objectively we’re a better team than Washington, so I’d be more worried about a choke letdown loss next week vs. San Fran.
All good points, MM. My pool is all games and suicide. Oakland let me down two Sundays ago on the suicide, but I’m holding my own on the other. With a $60 investment in a pool that is about 30 of us, over the years, through my occasional winning, I have been able to buy iPhones, iPads and a few other goodies.
“Niners over Cowboys – DUH”
Love it.
Thank you
I thought Sixers losses were good. Isn’t their goal to lose games until other teams realize the genius of their plan and try to lose more?
I was shooting for 5th in the east this year, deep playoff run next year, title the year after.
I have zero respect for any teams in the East other than Cleveland, Boston, Toronto, and Washington.
I have particular contempt for Milwaukee because that Greek Fake is bullshit and Brogdon was a horrible choice for ROY last year.
I don’t really follow NBA, but it seems to me that tanking for half a decade is a terrible “process” if the goal is to win. I have no respect for an organization that doesn’t try to win games.
That should have been over at this point and they’re transitioning to making an aggressive run at winning a title with the assets the acquired. I’m just annoyed that they choked two leads so far this year and that Okafor is a fuckup of a human being and a wasted draft pick.
Why would you respect Washington? (the ONLY D.C team I root for).
Will the Sixers have ANOTHER losing season?????
Aw man Bert, how many losing years has it been?
How many championships will make The Process worthwhile?
1, they were trash as fuck anyway before hinkie.
I’ll take the 1 but respectfully disagree about them being trash. They were a mediocre, lower-level team. A number of my buddies liked stinky’s plan. They argued it was the only way to turn the franchise around and get out of the tepid rut. I’ll see a couple of those guys for the MNF game, I’ll ask them the same question.
How many championships would the Sixers had won if they hadn’t tanked?
Zero
This team had nothing except Jrue of any value after the Bynum trade.
Even before that the concept of hey maybe every couple years we can get our teeth kicked in during the first round! and you know once a decade maybe we can make the EC Semis!!!! was boring as hell.
Ways to turn a franchise around; Get Star player
1. FA’s werent coming here
2. Trade for one, why would one want to be traded here, and we didn’t have enough to make a trade anyways
3. Statisitically your odds of finding a star increase as you pick higher.
Regularly making the playoffs would be nice at this stage. This process is an all-or-nothing proposition that has yielded nothing in 5 years.
I’m a big Sixers fan but I’m almost glad they are so losing because I hated Hinkie’s plan that much. It would be awful if other teams did try to emulate.
Hinkie was diabolical because he made fans think they were smarter than they were. His failure, ironically, provides anti-intellectualism with even more ammo.
Yeah F the Yankees.
Brady went to a similar top school like Ryan so F your – I want Boston Brady Belicheat bull crapola. you Boston lover. You can’t be going against the local boy for that bullshit.
ha ha ha ha ha. I’ll have to look into Brady’s elitist school attendance. I know McCaffrey went some douchey school called Valor Christian in Colorado that has been cheating its way around rules.
You’ll need a history detective to look into Brady’s elitist school attendance ha. That was back when portable phones were as popular as cell phones and before Windows 95 was a thing.
We’re 5-1 . I gotta root for AFC team to beat the 4-2 Vikings and 1-5 Giants to beat 3-2 Seattle (one of the last places we want to go in the playoffs). Minnesota goes to 5-2 but Carolina goes to 4-3 with loss to Chicago.
95 with a hammy…
Shocker.
Is it Monday yet?
Yeah, Thursday last week to Monday this week is a brutally long time off………but all the better to be prepped up to brutalize Washington.
I feel like I been waiting for Christmas morning
Dude, I personally love it. I’m still reveling in victory. If we lost though…
Well we finally made it to a day we might be able to enjoy
Fuck the cowboys Go Birds
I didn’t think any repeated comment would be more obnoxious than the idiots who type “first!” but here we are.
Oh god don’t tempt people.
WTF(ultz)?!
Is he a bust?
No; his shoulder is “off” and they won’t bite the bullet on admitting it. Sounds like they’re using the Phillies team “medical” “professionals” for managing Fultz. I’d rather see him shut down, given a few games in the D league to prep back up, and get back here ready to roll in a month or two.
I’m gonna say probably not if he doesn’t have a lot of injury problems.
He has a hard time lifting his arm. That has to get straightened out and then give him time to develop normally.. I watched 8-9 games of his at Washington. He’s got a lot of talent. I personally don’t think he lost it and basically won’t shoot without this shoulder issue.
Yeah, the baby is out, but has the umbilical chord been cut yet? Lets talk high school gpa.
https://goo.gl/seHQtK https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/37a08ee81e30e23e114fe39b6292366fe9be0f97f839223987ad0cb229c1f05f.png
Nobody rise. Til April.
And hopefully no rising ever again.
What is dead may never die, but rises again stronger and harder
I disagree on the injury front. Eagles have been pretty fortunate so far this year. Yes, we lost Sproles but we have 2 other RB to cover and our run game has been fine. We have missed Cox for 2 games, but again have the depth to cover.
That is why quality depth is so important. Most importantly, we’ve lost no one off our OL and Wentz is still standing.
Hicks being dinged up is normal fare; that is more of a concern since our depth is minimal and we knew it was going to happen i.e. he is injury prone.
Darby is coming back which is fortunate. Injuries can make a big difference, but, if the organization did its personnel/roster job correctly, it should be weatherable.
I’ll agree that a small set injuries helps filter in new players, keeps coaching on their toes and helps keep players fresh …
Games kinda suck this weekend except
Thursday nite
Sunday nite
Monday nite
Your week 7 rooting guide. You’re welcome.
With Eagles fans waiting 1,117 years between games, here’s your guide for how to get emotionally charged up for Sunday without the Birds no matter what game the convoluted network rules deliver. The 2017 Rooting Rule Book has been pasted below for your reference.
Arizona (3-3) v. LA Ram (4-2). Arizona is the pick here. As difficult as it is, I may need to accept that the Rams are relevant. Besides, we have the tie-breaker on the Geriatric Cards. Oh, and who the hell put two West Coast teams in London?
Tampa Bay (2-3) v. Buffalo (3-2). Buffalo. Jameis who? And with Buffalo being the team most likely to dethrone the Patriots*, gotta back Opie Cunningham.
Baltimore (3-3) v. Minnesota (4-2). Baltimore. Hopeless? Probably. Baltimore looks awful, but the Vikes may be the North favorites now without Rodgers running around.
NY Jets (3-3) v. Miami (3-2). NY Jets. They deserve better after getting robbed last week. And the sooner Jay Cutler is out of the league the better off we all are.
Jacksonville (3-3) v. Indianapolis (2-4). Jacksonville. Again let the Colts lose everything and then hire the better coach and GM available before the NY Giants can.
New Orleans (3-2) v. Green Bay (4-2). New Orleans. Game of the week candidate here. Must bury Green Bay before ARod comes back.
Carolina (4-2) v. Chicago (2-4). Chicago. I hope the Panthers suffered for the last 15 days. I blame them for Morelli’s crew. Therefore an embarrassing loss to da Bears is justified.
Tennessee (3-3) v. Cleveland (0-6). Cleveland. As always, let the Browns claim the #1 pick, fleece the Giants for 8 high draft picks to get the next Joey Harrington.
Seattle (3-2) v. NY Giants (1-5). NYGiaaaarrrggghhhh. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. But its better to see Seattle go down so the Eagles have a cushion. If Seattle comes on late in the season like they usually do, I don’t want to play out West in January. Make them fly East. Fuck the Giants, though.
Atlanta (3-2) v. New England* (4-2). RRRRGGggggghhhhh. New England. Atlanta is a threat like the Seahawks. Fuck the Patri*ts, though.
Dallas (2-3) v. San Francisco (0-6). San Fran. This would make NY Giants and Patriots wins so much easier to take. Let’s go 9ers!!!
Denver (3-2) v. LAChargers (2-4). LAChargers. Let the Broncos go into a skid of self-doubt win a locker room implosion leading up to their game with us.
Cincinnati (2-3) v. Pittsburgh (4-2). Cincinnati. Can’t we just sell Southwestern PA to West Virginia for a barrel of boysenberry moonshine?
The 2017 Rule Book. If you can’t remember all that above, the general guidelines are as follows in order of importance.
1) GO EAGLES!
1a) Dallas sucks.
2) Division rivals must not win, except in rare instances. E.g. facing each other with one of them threatening to make the playoffs.
3) Down with the rest of the NFC.
4) The Patriots cheat; AND
5) Steelers fans do not deserve anything good to happen to them ever again.
I so want to talk myself into thinking the Cowboys have a chance to lose today.
I’m going to try and cheer you up by saying the 49ers have a legit shot. The Cowboys are not that good, at 2-3, and the whole Zeke fiasco has impacted their running game. SF is not as awful as their record indicates. They’ve been competitive in all but their first loss. In their last five 5 games. they lost by a margin of only 2-3 points.
49ers 24, Cowboys 20.
Cowboys D sucks. Rookie QB the coach hand-picked looks sleeper-like promising and his college TE Kittle in SF.. there’s your hope.
The only game I get right now is the Panthers and Bears. This is when I wish I had FS1 and FS2, could be watching Bundesliga right now…
Same here and its on CBS, not Fox. Weird. Fox is running a 3-hour long infomercial.
They do that sometimes and I have no idea why. Just take the most interesting 1 o’clock game and broadcast that to the out of market audiences, the viewership has to be worth it right?
Why couldn’t we get Saints – Packers?
Waste your money on garbage quality Sunday ticket, like me. The feed stutters, but only in fullscreen. With 1gig fiber internet.
It’s possible the stutter is hardware related. Fullscreen on what?
Fox can only show one game this week, and presumably they prefer to show another game in most of their markets (Dallas game at 4pm in the Philly market for example), and CBS decided that was preferable to their early game in a lot of places, so Fox let CBS take it. The other CBS early game options were Jacksonville/Indianapolis, Baltimore/Minnesota, and Tennessee/Cleveland, which are not massively compelling matchups.
It’s a way to get that game shown where otherwise Fox would have mostly buried it, and it was a more interesting game (read: gets more ratings / advertising revenue) than the choices the other network previously had.
Android box + gears tv 20 bones a month Sunday ticket and everything else
Whew, Trubisky just threw a hell of a lame duck. So lucky the CB didn’t notice or that was an easy pick.
Yo Christian Mccaffrey is butt. What a waste of a draft pick. He’s like Darren Sproles is Sproles had no shiftiness at all.
All the people who wanted us to draft him made me actually hate McCaffrey. If a players best trait is simply his versatility he is not worth a 1st round pick. That means he’s not truly elite at anything.
I was one of those people. I am not sure Barnett has had a greater impact so far, but I admit I was wrong about McCaffrey.
I was very vocal about not wanting Barnett to be our pick. He seems like he will be a solid starter, but nothing close to elite. I wanted more impact from a top 15 pick. That said I’d prefer Barnett over McCaffery any day. Both guys were drafted on college production vs pro potential. Neither is likely to ever be an impact player at this level.
Same, it feels good to see him fail.
Always bet on black.
Sorry… jk. Seems like if Nelson Agholor can have a real career after that first year, White Lightning may become a decent player.
The difference is that Agholor always had the physical abilities to succeed. It was mental for him. McCaffery is fine on the mental side of things. He lacks functional strength as a RB and isn’t dynamic or explosive enough as a 3rd down back
I don’t buy the mental stuff. People can play or they can’t. McCaffery will probably end up a slot WR or some kind of gadget back, but I wouldn’t rule out a successful career.
Everyone but you apparently could see his confidence was destroyed and it impacted his play. I honestly don’t get how anyone could argue against that.
McCaffery was the #8 overall pick at a position where impact players are found throughout the draft. He needs to be special. He is not. He will never justify the pick spent on him and it was pretty obvious before he was even drafted.
Games are not won by solid players. They are won be elite players. It’s all about collecting as many of those as possible. Carolina wasted a top 10 pick on Danny Woodhead
“Everyone but you apparently could see his confidence was destroyed and it impacted his play. I honestly don’t get how anyone could argue against that.”
Really, everyone can see into his mind? I was not aware that ESP was a common ability. I can guess as to what’s going on, but that’s it. It’s very common for 1st year receivers to suck.
Doug Pederson who actually coaches him benched him for that very reason. He wanted him to take a step back and re-focus himself.
Or maybe even learn the offense. Or get used to the speed of the game. Or get stronger.
People say confidence when it’s not working out and they have no easy explanation.
ESP is a fucking hack and a douchebag who makes up stories about gang violence because Chip told him to.
I hope you’re joking, because lol.
I’m away Cho was talking Extra Sensory Perception, but Elliot Shorr Parks is always in need of flaming.
Holy crap. Are the LA Rams the best team remaining on our schedule?
Battle of the young QBs.
I think Seattle is. Seattle did beat the Rams too.
Probably the most balanced.
Oakland can score but has a shitty D.
Seattle and Denver have lethal D but not much O so you can beat them.
The Rams can move the ball and are built to murk you on D.
How’s their OL this year? Is it still bad or are they playing better than expected?
I haven’t watched them at all this year.
I do know that Whitworth has gotten rave reviews for being a rock at LT for them.
Saffolds a solid vet G. I get the impression that Havenstein is an average RT.
They are kind of like the budget version of the skins OL.
Browns-Titans game. going into OT, tied 9-9. Raise your hand if you thought Cleveland had a chance.
What a thriller haha.
And Tennessee misses the field goal to win, but of course in typical Browns fashion Hue Jackson called time out to ice the kicker. Retry and Cleveland is 0-7.
That poor fan base.
Stupid 49ers.
Ughhhhhh, you must be kidding me. That fumble was egregious, he didn’t even get hit on the arm holding the ball.
Two shutouts already today? That seems rare.
I know the Cowboys are going to win this game but seriously… At least make them work for it. Don’t give them garbage turnovers on punt returns. FFS.
Having to listen to Aikman announce a Dallas game that will likely be lopsided is particularly cruel.
Parkey hits 49 yarder with 20 seconds left. The turf in Miami is a disgrace!
Yes yes, carry me to victory over my Skip Bayless loving cousin this week Zeke.
The proper protocol is to begrudgingly accept the points awarded to your fantasy team by rivals’ players. Cheering for their success remains uncouth.
The anti-Cowboy sandwich is always a good technique. i.e. Boy, the Niners are terrible. Well, at least Zeke’s points will help me beat my cousin. I’d still rather see Dallas lose, though.
I can’t root for either teams but I still can hope my fantasy team wins. Cowgirls are obvious but I have had to deal with my obnoxious Niner fan cousins when they were good. A tie is impossible since the Niners are terrible. Misery loves company.
We should be rooting for the giants, no? Both to worsen their draft stock and to deal a conference foe a loss?
It would be better for the giants to win. Root for the Giants…never.
Nope. Never!
Why did the Cowboys go for 2 there?
If Bailey is hurt for any extended time it could cost the cowboys a game. He is basically automatic and a great KO guy
Sturgis for their first rounder?
Barner wouldn’t have dropped the KO. Just saying Media Mike
He dropped everything in sight last week, so you should have kept that filed away for another time.
I know. I was just messing with you
No doubt.
That was some awful blocking by the 49ers.
I can’t watch the rest of this game. The Niners are a dumpster fire they deserve the 0-6 record.
I’m trying to find a way to delete my earlier post where I wrote the 49ers would win in an upset.
Hey we all had hope.
I bet they’ll draft the wrong QB in their backyard too. Or is that just me wishing more misery upon them?
Yeah, keep running Zeke into the ground. Game is thoroughly out of hand and he’s still in there. Works for me. Not just as an Iggs fan, but also as a fan of women. Hope he takes a extra couple good hits.
PSA: These Niners almost beat the Redskins.
Giants almost beat us, and their defense looks like absolute garbage right now. forgetting to cover receivers and shit.
Fear not. I feel like the outcome of tomorrow’s game is going to invoke culturally insensitive comparisons.
Yeah, but how about *after* the anthem?
(don’t even fucking start, Julescat)
ouch
The Giants almost beat us stuff is BS and I’m sick of people saying it. We dominated them. It took Cox, Hick, McLeod, etc to all get injured during the game before they could do anything. Most of those back up players don’t even get practice reps during the week. It was an anomaly. If our players don’t all go down at once it’s a double digit blow out.
You mean the game where we needed a comeback drive, a defensive stop, and a last min miracle field goal to win? Yeah. That’s called almost losing.
If you want to look at it without context sure. I choose to live in reality where things aren’t simply black and white
I am with you dude. We let off the gas on top of all that. It was evident that team was inferior as soon as the whistle blew.
I have all four streams open right now. 1 was on commercial. 2 were refs announcing a penalty. This is the state of the NFL.
Which part is new?
Edit** ohh the 4 streams part…cant trick me you trickster!
Only one on a commercial? Lucky.
Just turned it on. . 4 commercials. . Time to just play the Australian Grand Prix that i recorded. . Best sport in the world for me now. …
..
Looks like there is no bad Watt brother.
That ruling in the Seattle/New York game was fucking baffling. Seahawk WR and Giant CB came down with the ball simultaneously in the endzone. They wrestle on the ground for a while, while both of their feet touch out of bounds. Then just after the Giant wrestles the ball away, another ref from the far side runs over and signals Touchdown. Not enough evidence to overturn, of course. Because that was just fucking stupid.
Haven’t seen the play, but “shared possession” goes to offense. If they were on the ground in the EZ, it’s a touchdown.
Pittsburgh has kicked so many field goals that Marvin Lewis is going to think they have Jake Elliot.
Pittsburgh SS Robert Golden has more passing yards in this game than Dalton had in the second half. Golden threw a 44 yard pass on a fake punt.
You know how I know your team is soft……….
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21118970/new-orleans-saints-coach-sean-payton-provide-players-pedicures
That is embarrassing.
Don’t judge. I’m sure Concrete Charlie enjoyed a good pedicure every now and then.
This is like one of a million things men are too manly for until their girlfriend introduces them to it and they realize why it’s a thing. Like, “Oh, this is what clean sheets feel like?”
This is hard. Just cheered the Pats failing on a 3rd down conversion before remembering it helps the Eagles if Atlanta loses. Man I hate the Patriots*.
7 penalties in 7 minutes. Why do I still watch this.
Dan Quinn pulling a Doug Pederson, Went for it on 4th and 7 at midfield. Got it, too,
Nice hit by Gronk there. He’d make a hell of a DE/OLB.
So the current score is Falcons 0, Pats 0, Adrian Clayborne -7.
Sometimes I wonder if I was a coach how I would I handle massively stupid penalties like that. Because you clearly can’t trust these people to make good decisions on their own, so what do you do?
If i was a DB coach I’d have my guys keep the WRs on the ground during incompletions so they don’t get up and call for a flash. .. because the refs seriously rely on good crying by WRs in their interference flags
Can’t stand it. Especially when half the time they are pushing off and hardly ever get flagged for it.
well that was stupid ATL
Atlanta is an embarrassment. The good news is I fear them not at all in the NFC.
They just need to get their shit together enough to beat Dallas in a few weeks
I love how the narrative can flip in the NFL every week.
Before: Chiefs best team in the NFL. After: Maybe not.
Before: Vikings are screwed without Bradford. After: Maybe he doesn’t matter.
Before: Cards are back with AP! After: No, they still suck.
Before: Panthers and Eagles are the class of the NFC. After: They just got bumrushed by the Bears, for God’s sake.
Before: 49ers have played every team close. After: No, they’re garbage.
Berofe: Broncos are a Superbowl Contender. After: They suck.
Before: The Seahawks suck. After: They’re 4-2.
How will tomorrow change the narrative?
I think this is what has been so impressive about the eagles this year. They have come out each week and played well. I’m not sure any other team has been as consistently good as the eagles. That has set them apart even though they are not a dominant team.
NI GGERS
They’re leaning heavily on the madden cam view right now because of the fog in Foxsboro, and it is absolutely incredible. You can see what’s going on with routes, blocks, and defensive alignments.
So from the 10 inch line the Falcons try a rollout pass and an end around. Hard to believe this team was good last year.
That new Offensive Coordinator is letting this Falcons team down. He is taking power offense guys and playing them like a finesse team.
He should be drilling that ball to Julio more. He should be ruuning that RB duo between the tackles more. And why don’t they have an standout tight end keeping tbe defense honest. No excuse.
They have too many talented pieces to be on a 3 game skid. Especially competing in the NFC South. The super bowl hangover plus a bad fit at OC is going to take the Falcons under this year
But hey… Go Eagles!
Pats game great time to go to the movies here. Marshall was good.
