Gameday – LVR at PHI
Posted December 14th, 2025 | No Comments »It did snow this morning, but the field looks to be in pretty good condition. It will be windy and cold. As much as today should be about running the ball, Jalen Hurts will need to have some success throwing. Cover 3 leaves the CBs vulnerable against good receivers. The Eagles need AJ and DeVonta to make some plays today.
No real surprises among the inactives.
#Eagles inactives vs. Raiders:
OLB Josh Uche
QB Sam Howell (emergency QB)
CB Mac McWilliams
RB A.J. Dillon
T Lane Johnson
DT Jalen Carter— John McMullen (@JFMcMullen) December 14, 2025
The OL will have its hands full with Maxx Crosby. He’s going to win some battles. Just don’t let him make game-changing plays.
If the run game does click, feed the ball to Barkley and Bigsby. Both guys have big play potential.
The defense needs to make Kenny Pickett uncomfortable. Hit him as much as you can and don’t let him have a clean pocket. Sacks are great, but at least affect him with penetration and pressure.
Hold onto the frickin football today. Please.
Pete Carroll owned the Eagles when he was in Seattle. This is a very different situation. The Raiders are a mess. The Eagles are trying to end a messy streak. Go win this game.
Not that windy in the lower bowl as of now. Jake Elliott looked fine from 52 yards (hit the right upright once, made another) kicking north (R to L on TV).

Let’s hope the wind stays away for a while. That helps both Hurts and Jake Elliott. The Raiders haven’t dealt with weather so far this season. The Eagles overcame cold/wind in games against GB and Detroit. Let’s hope that advantage helps them.
The Eagles are the better team. Play like it. Build a lead and keep control of the game. Don’t give the Raiders hope.
And please let me enjoy a Sunday afternoon.
