Game Preview – PHI at NYG

This is a good time for a short week. After a frustrating loss to the Broncos, the Eagles get to jump right back on the field and try to move forward.

Let’s jump right into the inactives.

Not having Jalen Carter certainly hurts. He is the best player up front. This means more playing time for Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Byron Young and rookie Ty Robinson. Let’s hope those guys are ready to get the job done.

Dickerson needs to get healthy so I’m happy to see him sit. Brett Toth is a less talented player, but he’s healthy and Dickerson needs the time off. No Calcaterra. Let’s see if Kylen Granson can take advantage of that.

The Eagles have a lot of advantages in this matchup. The Giants are terrible in division games. They are terrible on Thursday nights. The Eagles are more talented and have been the better team this year. The Giants have a rookie QB. They lost to the friggin’ Saints last week.

This is a game the Eagles absolutely should win. If they struggle, it might be time to worry.

Jaxson Dart is a mobile QB and that is always an X-factor. The Eagles need to have a good plan for that. His running helped the Giants beat the Chargers a couple of weeks ago so this team can pull off big upsets. Since this is a rivalry game I hope the Eagles are fired up and ready to go. We’ll see.

It would be great to see Saquon Barkley have his breakout game. The Giants are 26th in rushing yards allowed so maybe tonight is finally the night 26 gets loose and gives us a fun game.
