Gameday – PHI at CHI

A win tonight would put the Eagles at 3-0, offer some measure of revenge for last year and have Eagles Nation feeling pretty good about things. A loss would raise a lot of questions, none of them very pleasant.

The focus will be on how the Eagles do in handling the Bears run game. They don’t have to shut Chicago completely down, but do need to keep it under control. With Case Keenum starting, the Bears need to run the ball to have an effective offense. It will be interesting to see what Vic Fangi does to stop the run and what Ben Johnson does to keep the Eagles off balance.

The Eagles did elevate Zach Ertz and LB Chance Campbell for the game. Ertz will give them another target in the passing game. Campbell is likely active to help on special teams.

Can the Eagles OL finally have a good game? They have the same lineup as last week and that should help. Continuity is crucial toward success up front.

Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith are warming up with the 1’s. Jonathan Greenard will make his Eagles debut tonight. He was with the 2’s.

Let’s hope Greenard makes his presence felt.

Chicago can absolutely win this game. Johnson is a good coach. They will be highly motivated after losing 9-3 last week. And they still have plenty of talented players. Plus, weird things happen when these teams play and often seem to favor the Bears.Let’s hope this is a “normal” game and the Eagles play a smart, clean game.
