Gameday – PHI at TEN

The Eagles have a good chance to get to 2-0 today when they take on the Titans. Just as important, they have a chance to play better than they did last week. Winning in Week 1 was good enough, but the level of play wasn’t good. With a game under their belt, hopefully the Eagles can fix some mistakes and take a big step forward.

Interesting.

I’m usually not a fan of making multiple moves. Continuity is a big part of what leads to OL success. Kendall only has one NFL start and that came at center in the regular season finale last year. He played center at Boston College. The Eagles must feel that having Kendall play center gives him the best chance to succeed. Jurgens played OG in 2023 so he should be comfortable with moving there. You lose continuity, but gain a combination of experience and comfort level.

There is probably also the X-factor of having to face Jeffery Simmons, the best DT in the league. Having Kendall make his debut at guard against Simmons would not be ideal. Now Kendall will be helping out on Simmons rather than being the primary blocker.

No real surprises there. We found out Friday that Greenard was going to be out. There is no nned for Moore with Britain Covey active. The Eagles did elevate Maximus Pulley for the game. Drew Mukuba is playing, but missed some practice time this week. Pulley gives them some extra depth at safety in case it is needed.

All reports say that there are going to be a ton of Eagles fans in Nashville today. This will be another stadium taken over by Philly fans. Having such good road support helps the Eagles to win away from The Linc.

Weather will be a factor today. The temperature is expected to be 95, one of the hottest games in Titans history. The Eagles will gain a major advantage if they can run the ball and sustain drives. They only had 10 first downs last week. That number must go up today.

The Eagles are the better team. They need to play like it.
