Happy Kelly Green Day! Normally uniform stuff doesn’t mean much to me. Kelly greens are a different story. I loved the uniforms of the mid-80’s to the mid-90’s. Those were as good as a uniform can get.

Now let’s move on to the game.

With Darius Slay out, Eli Ricks is active to give the Eagles good depth at CB. Tristin McCollum will sit. Slay being out means that Isaiah Rodgers makes his first start since 2022. The Jags won’t be able to attack him as aggressively as they might like since their WR corps is beat up.

Rookie Brian Thomas is active, but Gabe Davis is out. Thomas is banged up so we’ll have to see how effective he is. Why didn’t Doug give his old pal Travis Fulgham a call? Fulgham must be busy writing his speech for Canton based on his good month from 2020.

The Jags can try to go run heavy with Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby. That’s not the worst idea in the world. I can see Vic Fangio playing a lot of base personnel in this to handle the run and because he’s not scared of the Jags receivers. We’ll see if Doug can come up with some kind of wrinkle to help his offense.

Will the Eagles finally score in the first quarter?

Yes. They just missed doing it last week. The offense is starting to click. I think this is the week they go and get points.

The Birds were 2-0 in the Kelly green uniforms last year. Let’s hope they keep that going with a win today.
