Another game, another set of turnovers.

The Eagles have outgained Houston 268-135. Nick Foles was knocked from the game and the offense hasn’t missed a beat. Unfortunately, a pair of turnovers have led to 2 Texans TDs and kept the game much closer than it should have been.

Mark Sanchez has been lights out in his first action of the season. That red hot play from the summer apparently wasn’t a fluke. He is making good decisions and throwing the ball well. His short TD to Jordan Matthews was a thing of beauty. Great touch.

The Eagles can blow this game wide open if they just quit turning the ball over.

The run defense has been outstanding so far. The one hiccup on defense is when Arian Foster beat Connor Barwin for a long TD catch. Houston isn’t sustaining long drives. They do tend to be a better 2nd half team so that bears watching.

    The turnovers allow us to run our offense against live competition, see how the defense responds to adversity, AND keeps the team from having to deal with the hype that would come with winning by 35 each week. It is all by design.

    In week 6 of 2010, Romo broke his collarbone the same way Foles appeared to have injured his.

    Romo never returned that season.

    Broken collarbones takes about 6-10 weeks to heal.

    Rogers was out for 5 weeks I think. Depends on the severity. Nick has youth on his side though.
