Posted October 15th, 2023 | Comments Off on Gameday – PHI at NYJThere are two undefeated teams left in the NFL, the Eagles and Niners. The Eagles are playing a banged up Jets team so most people think they should win comfortably. The Niners would tell you to be careful.
In the middle of the third quarter, SF is tied with CLE 10-10. The Browns started PJ Walker at QB. This is a real battle.
Undefeated team playing an AFC foe on the road with a backup QB starting. Does that sound familiar?

I still think the Eagles should beat the Jets, but this is a good reminder that strange things do happen in the NFL.

I hate that Sydney Brown is out. Really hoped to see him play. No surprises aside from him.
At safety, the Eagles have Reed Blankenship, Terrell Edmunds and ? Obvously some CB will play there if needed. Mekhi Garner is active today. It is possible he’s been getting cross-trained. He could be depth outside if someone else has to move to safety. Kelee Ringo was cross-trained over the summer so he could be the guy to play safety. We’ll see what happens. Most of all, let’s hope there aren’t injuries in the secondary today.
The Eagles need a big day from their pass rush. Haason Reddick and Brandon Graham will go against the third string RT so this would be a good time for them to dominate.
I am excited to see Nakobe Dean in action. He’s been out since the season opener. The defense has gotten better since then. Sean Desai has a better feel for things. It will be interesting to see how Dean does.
