Officially Open

I didn’t make a huge deal about IgglesBlitz opening last week because I wanted to make sure we had the kinks worked out.  Things have gone well so far.  A few things about the site:

* The name is a combination of my last two Eagles ventures, IgglesBlog and EaglesBlitz.

* I will try to post something every day, but I’m also doing a lot of draft study and writing so I make no promises.  Between here and ScoutsNotebook there should be something new to read every day.

* Sam will be doing some writing at some point.  We’re all in friggin’ limbo because of the CBA mess.  There isn’t much for him to say now since it has turned into “he said, she said”.  When there is a deal reached or some serious progress I’m sure Sam will share his thoughts.

* Gabe and Derek have an open invitation to write something if they choose.  For now Gabe is putting out the Bounty Bowl Daily and Derek has discovered the joy of Twitter.

* Other than that, things will be the same with me.  I’ll still be long-winded.  The movie and history references will be in my posts.  And I’ll still occasionally mention PBR, chocolate pudding, and Megan Fox.  It is officially a good day if I can get all 3 in one post.

I know there are some subjects I need to cover since there was a bit of down time.  I will write about the Kevin Kolb situation this week.  I’ll update some thoughts on Juan Castillo and the defense.  We need to talk about draft needs.  I’m hoping to re-watch some 2008 tapes of Stewart Bradley to confirm my thoughts on him.  I’ve just got to see if I can figure out which box they are in.

If you have any site issues/suggestions  you can post them in the comments section, hit me on Twitter, or send me an email at scoutsnotebook@gmail.com.

This site now has prime position on my bookmark bar. When might we expect the first Spinal Tap reference?

Thanks for answering my question on the top OTs converting to OG last week. Carrying on from that, in what order would you rank the top guys purely as players?

I heard you’d given up Stripes references for lent.

    RE: Spinal Tap

Watched a couple of minutes last night on VH1 Classic. “You can’t dust for vomit”. Awesome.

    RE: Stripes

Watched a few minutes of that recently when hanging out with a friend. “Czechloslovokia? It’s like Wisconsin.” Funny how the shower scene in that movie seemed like the most beautiful women in the world when I was 12 or whatever.

Even though I was a whole year older, I am sure they were. First movie I ever went back to a cinema to watch again, and not just for the shower scene.

Glad to have a place to set as my home page again.

Hopefully in your upcoming thoughts on Castillo, you could share your thoughts on how Reid described the new defensive scheme? I am not sure how comfortable I am with the thought of LB’s having more responsibility to read and react while DL is released to just attack.
