Dion Lewis is off to a good start.

    39 yd KOR

    13 yd run

  2. 2 Dave said at 7:42 PM on September 1st, 2011:

27 guys need to be cut. Who will make it? Who will be cut? That is what this game is about. As always, it will be interesting. Who has to link to the latest best guess roster? If Dion Lewis makes it, whose place does he take? Riley Cooper must make it right?

  3. 3 iskar36 said at 7:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Dion Lewis had his spot pretty much locked up already. He has looked great throughout the preseason.

  4. 4 Aussie Ro said at 7:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Just signed up to gamepass for $120 AU so much better than watching streams that cut out midway.

  5. 5 izzylangfan said at 7:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

right side of line didn’t look too good on first drive

  6. 6 Kushan said at 7:46 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Dion Lewis is a future star in this league. Just look at that shiftiness!

  7. 7 Kushan said at 7:47 PM on September 1st, 2011:

That kick potentially could be really bad for Henery’s psyche…

  8. 8 Tommy Lawlor said at 7:48 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Brian Rolle with an early sack. Love that dude.

  9. 9 Aussie Ro said at 7:49 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    The ball of hate!

  10. 10 RogerPodacter said at 7:49 PM on September 1st, 2011:

brian rolle with the sack! wooo

  11. 11 Steag209 said at 7:49 PM on September 1st, 2011:

We play in this stadium twice a year so it’s good he gets a shot to kick in this place and Ake was never very good here either btw

  12. 12 izzylangfan said at 7:50 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I thought Hall had enough time and space to beat the first man on that punt return. Didn’t do it last year either.

  13. 13 Tommy Lawlor said at 7:50 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @ Kushan…

The miss could be good. We need to see how Henery bounces back. PKs need to show they can handle some adversity.

  14. 14 iskar36 said at 7:50 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Kushan

I hate to see him miss, but I really hope he gets a second chance to kick a long FG. It would be nice to see if he can make the adjustments.

  15. 15 stah said at 7:50 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Why was Chad Hall receiving the punt return? I want to see what Dion Lewis can do there.

  16. 16 Dave said at 7:51 PM on September 1st, 2011:

  17. 17 iskar36 said at 7:53 PM on September 1st, 2011:

How has Cooper been looking throughout the preseason games? I can’t remember him standing out at any point. I don’t think his spot is really at risk by any means, but I was hoping to see him making some progress and forcing the coaches to get him on the field a little more this year.

  18. 18 Dave said at 7:56 PM on September 1st, 2011:

What beer are you drinking now?

  19. 19 Jeppe said at 7:57 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Watkins seems to struggle a bit… Is he playing opposite Wilkerson??

  20. 20 Homer said at 7:59 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Haven’t been able to listen or watch any of the game yet. How does Watkins look?

  21. 21 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:00 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Wicked hit on Cooper. That is one tough dude.

  22. 22 Dave said at 8:00 PM on September 1st, 2011:

So, Dion Lewis is made the roster. I think Chad Hall must make it too! TD!

  23. 23 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:01 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Watkins has been up and down. Good on run plays, inconsistent on pass plays. He is going against Muhammad Wilkerson quite a bit.

  24. 24 izzylangfan said at 8:02 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Vince Young executed the offense well on both drives. Right side of line looked better on second drive.

  25. 25 Jeppe said at 8:02 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I absolutely hate the way all these rules are destroying the game of football that I love… There was NO penalty on Pool!!
How do the NFL expect defenses to play?!?!?!?!?

  26. 26 iskar36 said at 8:02 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Should we read into the fact that JamJax didn’t start?

  27. 27 Boyboy said at 8:04 PM on September 1st, 2011:

it’s likw Watkins is either blocking the wrong man / the wrong direction or not sustaining blocks on every other play. Discouraging.

  28. 28 Duc848 said at 8:06 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Defense came out to play tonight!

  29. 29 Flyin' said at 8:06 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Cooper’s helmet flying off made the call.

  30. 30 Steag209 said at 8:07 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I hope Hall makes the team, I like to see servicemen get a shot in the NFL

  31. 31 Iskar36 said at 8:07 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I haven’t watched Watkins on every play, but the ones I do watch him on, it seems to me that the mistakes he has made have been mental. If he doesn’t make the mental mistake though, I haven’t noticed him not sustain the block well.

  32. 32 nicolajNN said at 8:08 PM on September 1st, 2011:

According to the rules the penalty on Pool was correct, whether you agree or not. I don’t think the rules should be taken too far, but you also protect the players’ heads

  33. 33 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:08 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Chad Hall isn’t shining as a PR.

  34. 34 Iowa Eagle said at 8:09 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Who is #65 again? And isn’t Hunt #67?

  35. 35 Damon said at 8:10 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Dion Lewis looking good

  36. 36 iskar36 said at 8:14 PM on September 1st, 2011:

You want to talk about a rookie who looks better every week, talk about Dion Lewis. He started off impressive, but he has looked even better each and every game. He has certainly played well enough to earn some playing time this season… the question will be if AR will run enough to give it to him.

  37. 37 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:14 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Hunt is 76.

Chris Wilson is 65 on D.

  38. 38 eagles nut said at 8:15 PM on September 1st, 2011:

#65 on defense is Chris Wilson. Hunt is #76.

  39. 39 Jon said at 8:16 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Tommy

Dion looks great, bursting through the line with amazing balance. Alot of his long runs seem to be through the right side of the line….how much is that his vision and speed versus the holes Kelce and Watkins are opening? Because is it just me, or does Watkins look overmatched on every 1-on-1 battle. He sets his feet and then gets driven backwards. Really, truly, discouraging start to his extremely young career (it’s noted that he’s had maybe 30 practices and a few preseason games, and I know nothing about scouting talent). I know it’s early, but something has to be said for our 6th round rookie lineman seeming to make less mistakes than our 1st round rookie lineman.

  40. 40 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:19 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Forgot Laws was now #91.

  41. 41 Dave said at 8:22 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Ok, I take back what I said about Chad Hall. Bye Bye Chad, nice knowing you.

  42. 42 Joe said at 8:23 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Laws looking good. going to make it tough on the eagles to cut him

  43. 43 iskar36 said at 8:23 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Is DeSean our only option at punt returner at this point?

  44. 44 Matt said at 8:23 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Reno Mahe made it with Andy being marginally talented, but reliable and a good guy, perhaps Chad Hall can fill the same dubious role

  45. 45 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:24 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Brian Rolle just blew up that run.

  46. 46 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:24 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I hope they cut Chad. He’s not showing much progress from last year.

  47. 47 Jeppe said at 8:26 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Trevor Laws is fighting for his spot! I like what I’ve seen from him so far…
And Brian Rolle looks every bit as good as advertised, Tommy 🙂

  48. 48 Iowa Eagle said at 8:28 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Landri/Laws is going to be a tough call… I don’t see Hargrove staying, being as deep as we are at DT and DE.

  49. 49 GermanEagle said at 8:28 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Any chance the Eagles will try Dion Lewis as PR?!

  50. 50 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:30 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Watkins is done for the night.

  51. 51 eagles nut said at 8:31 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I think Hargrove makes it. He can play DE too which helps. Juqua Parker is as good as gone. No way they’re keeping him at that salary.

  52. 52 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:32 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Moss has 2 nice catches. Let’s put him back at PR for the rest of the game.

  53. 53 Jeppe said at 8:32 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Excellent blitz pickup by D. Lewis!!!

  54. 54 Matt said at 8:33 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @GermanEagle

Remember when they just threw a guy in on PR? his name was Greg Lewis and it was the worst unmitigated disaster since pearl harbour, and it cost us a game…

Perhaps there is someone else in the league we could get for the job?

  55. 55 Iowa Eagle said at 8:34 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I know it sounds rediculous, but even though Jenkins has looked good so far… We probably could have saved some Cap and roster space to keep these younger guys that are showing promise.

  56. 56 eagles nut said at 8:37 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Hey, who was the starting OL tonight? Listening to this game on the radio.

For those who need a link..

  58. 58 GermanEagle said at 8:40 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Matt

thanks for bringing up those nightmare memories about Greg Lewis as our PR… 😉

Before the game I was pretty certain that Laws was not going to make this roster. As of now I am not so sure any more..

  59. 59 iskar36 said at 8:41 PM on September 1st, 2011:

As much as they may be concerned about Jackson’s health, I can’t imagine he is not the punt returner this season.

  60. 60 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Moss was in at PR on that last play. Short punt so he stayed away.

  61. 61 Steag209 said at 8:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Was hoping we could see what Sinorice could do with the punt

  62. 62 Tommy Lawlor said at 8:47 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Starting OL:

    Dunlap – Vandy – McGlynn – Watkins – Wells

  63. 63 Duc848 said at 8:48 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Wow, some good D-linemen will be cut, think Laws will stay? Who will be eligible for PS?

  64. 64 GermanEagle said at 8:48 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Winners so far:

    – Vince Young: secured his backup QB spot

    – Dion Lewis (a new star in the making?!)

    – Trevor Laws: might make the team after all

    Losers so far:

    – Henery: everytime he tries a FG I am nervous as hell

    – Hall: thanks for the memories.

  65. 65 eagles nut said at 8:48 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Hmmm, so does that mean they view Jackson as a valuable backup/6th man or they don’t want him getting hurt so they can’t trade/release him?

  66. 66 Nu B said at 8:52 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Lee looking very nice tonight. I’m thinking 5 WR 3 TE.

And people really need to let the dream team thing go.

  67. 67 Kushan said at 8:53 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Tommy

    What now? :-0

  68. 68 iskar36 said at 8:54 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @eagles nut

I had the same thought, but with Kelce being a rookie that has been up and down, we need to keep a solid backup at center. Do they keep McGlynn over Jackson?

    Crap, that didn’t look good.

  69. 69 Nu B said at 8:55 PM on September 1st, 2011:

What a bizarre series of events!!!

  70. 70 iskar36 said at 8:55 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Any logic behind not going for the FG?

  71. 71 Duc848 said at 8:57 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I didn’t want to jinx it, but it seems their are too many injuries have occurred at this new stadium. Last year was Nate Allen, and this Giants lost two cornerbacks this year. This field is horrible for being a brand new stadium. With that note, hope VY is nothing serious?

  72. 72 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:00 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I don’t understand why Andy went for it. The rookie PK needs reps. Dumb decision.

  73. 73 Kushan said at 9:01 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I’m just worried about our kicking game.

  74. 74 Anders said at 9:01 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Tommy

Isnt preseason the best place to practice 4th down conversions?

  75. 75 Kushan said at 9:02 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Tommy

Perhaps Andy went for it because he didn’t want Henery to miss another kick? Just a thought…

  76. 76 PK said at 9:07 PM on September 1st, 2011:

If you don’t trust your kicker to make kicks, then you really should be bringing in a new one next week…

  77. 77 iskar36 said at 9:08 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Taking that FG would have been one of the few times you can really get a pressure kick in the preseason. Just missed a fg. Adrenaline running high from the botched hold. Young, unproven kicker. That would have been as great of an opportunity to test your kicker as you could ask for.

  78. 78 ian no. 2 said at 9:10 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Hall wasn’t good in ST last year either.. never trusted him as a PR. Hope Moss’ good game puts him on the roster, I’d be ok w/ Harper instead or on the PS.

Thought they should try JJackson at guard this game. They are thin at backup guard, McGlynn and Vanderwelde trying to make it.

That’s why they seem to have no choice but use Watkins.. I though JJ was an option. Watkins is always an off the chart guy, and he’s never had his footwork down. Off the chart meaning there’s a separate set of rules that apply to him and his development. I’m not exactly worried and Mudd thinks the best thing for the team is to give him and Kelce the experience.

    Way to go Rolle.

Lindley with a ST stop seems to have made a move on Hughes, who got beat for a TD, a week after Hughes made a move on Lindley.

  79. 79 ian no. 2 said at 9:11 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    don’t worry about Henery

  80. 80 Nu B said at 9:26 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Cooper for practice squad!

    Havili…not so much.

  81. 81 iskar36 said at 9:27 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Why the heck are we not kicking fgs at all? I know it would have been a short one in this case, but considering who is out there, isn’t Henery the guy who most needs the game reps?

  82. 82 Duc848 said at 9:29 PM on September 1st, 2011:

It almost looked like the Jets KO unit had a 4 man wall, was the Colt on the tackle?

  83. 83 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:30 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I don’t mind skipping 18 yd FG. Not much to gain from that.

  84. 84 iggles nut said at 9:31 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Honestly, I think Reid just does things sometimes to make it interesting for himself. Kicking FGs is boring.

  85. 85 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:32 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Keenan Clayton just missed an INT. He’s done some good things.

  86. 86 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:33 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Moss with the PR. Only got 2 yards, but looked smooth on the catch and shouldn’t have gotten anything on the return.

  87. 87 Iowa Eagle said at 9:35 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Who gives a crap about interviewing a GM… they’re ruining my JV scouting experience.

  88. 88 JO said at 9:37 PM on September 1st, 2011:

In PGH cNt see the game, have the choice of bengals vs colts or steelers vs panthers. …not too happy about it. How is Wells looking at RT? Also, Teo going to IR so they can keep Hunt on roster? Hunt was made for wide 9. Can’t let him go. And laws needs to make the team. He can play. Laundry has busted his a$$ but is a journeyman. Laws has more upside and can play the run better.

  89. 89 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:45 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Another PBU for Clayton. Dude can cover.

  90. 90 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:47 PM on September 1st, 2011:

#56 for the Jets is playing his butt off.

  91. 91 Kushan said at 9:47 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Cooper might have gotten the TD, but I don’t think he will even make the practice squad..

  92. 92 Anders said at 9:47 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @Tommy

You think Clayton could challenge Fokuo for the WILL spot?

  93. 93 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:48 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Brandon Hughes with good tackle on punt coverage. He needs to be a good STer.

  94. 94 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:51 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @ Anders…

I think Chaney will be the cover LB in the base unit. Fokou will be more of a tackler/run defender. That’s Clayton’s weakness so I don’t see him getting that spot.

  95. 95 Jeppe said at 9:51 PM on September 1st, 2011:

What on earth is Plaxico eating?

  96. 96 FinnEagle said at 9:52 PM on September 1st, 2011:

So, According to the Jets commentary guy, Jets will go into the season with 7-8 O-linemen, 5 running backs and 4 tight ends.

  97. 97 Pk said at 9:54 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Did Andy and Rex agree to have a punting showdown?

  98. 98 Jeppe said at 9:54 PM on September 1st, 2011:

It seemed to me that our 2nd defense LBs were WILL Rolle, MLB Jordan, SAM Clayton

Is Clayton our backup SAM or was I misreading something?

  99. 99 iskar36 said at 9:55 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Tommy,

I was your post about Moss vs. Hall. In your opinion, do you think either actually makes the team?

  100. 100 Tommy Lawlor said at 9:55 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @ FinnEagle…

It is interesting to see how different teams build their rosters. Jets run the ball. They don’t need 6 WRs. Heck, we kept 7 WRs to open the 2009 season.

  101. 101 theguyotc said at 9:56 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @FinnEagle

“So, According to the Jets commentary guy, Jets will go into the season with 7-8 O-linemen, 5 running backs and 4 tight ends.”

He also said they’d only carry 4 WRs. He’s not exactly Cris Collinsworth.

  102. 102 iggles nut said at 9:58 PM on September 1st, 2011:

The Jets’ commentary guy is probably correct. They don’t have good depth at WR or OL.

  103. 103 Jeppe said at 9:59 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Baaad blitz-pickup by Buckley led to that return… Bye bye Eldra

  104. 104 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:00 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Austin Howard has looked okay at LT. He needed a good night. Coming in fat was dumb. Leave that to the bloggers of the world.

  105. 105 eagles nut said at 10:06 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I don’t think Howard makes the 53-man roster. If I had to guess the backups right now I’d say Justice, Dunlap, Jackson, and Vandervelde. Strong possibility we get at least 1 new OL in here by waivers or trade. Vandervelde hasn’t stood out good or bad to me but he’s a Mudd pick so I think he has the edge over guys like Howard.

  106. 106 eagles nut said at 10:10 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Good, a chance to see Henery try a long FG.

  107. 107 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:10 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Great to see Henery nail the 49 yd FG.

  108. 108 eagles nut said at 10:11 PM on September 1st, 2011:

  110. 110 Duc848 said at 10:12 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Was that a smile from Reid after the successful field goal?

  111. 111 theguyotc said at 10:13 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I’m not so excited about Henery making that FG. He was doing it against third-string goalposts.

  112. 112 Floyd said at 10:15 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Tommy did you just hear that? The announcers just talking about how this team reminds them of the 94 niners offseason. I swear there is no way these dudes did that research on their own. Somebody must have told them about this site.

They are reading your stuff and passing it off as their own on air. Anyway, us in the know here certainly gives props where they are due. And in this case those props are yours Tommy.

  113. 113 Duc848 said at 10:17 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Welcome to the team Philip Hunt! Back to back plays! Nice

  114. 114 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:18 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Moss has to be the PR over Hall…right?

  115. 115 Iowa Eagle said at 10:18 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    I know it’s preseason, but HUNT= 3 sacks in 4 games

  116. 116 iskar36 said at 10:18 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @theguyotc

    Nice!

    @Tommy

Jeff McLane is just speculating, but he posted on Twitter that he thinks Jarrett’s knee contusion will land him on “wink wink” IR. Do you think that is likely? If so, do they just go with 3 guys at safety to open up somewhere else, or does Anderson make the team?

  117. 117 eagles nut said at 10:19 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Maybe neither of them. Maybe someone we acquire later this week.

3rd string goal posts??? That explains it.

    Brilliant.

Tommy what do you think about Teo? Will he be cut?

  120. 120 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:25 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @ iskar…

Putting J Jarrett on IR might be a very good idea. That would clean up a log jam at Safety.

We are WAYYY to deep at DE, but I can’t help but notice Chris Wilson these past few games… Is it just because he’s got limited playing time and fresh legs?

    RE: Teo

Need to watch the tape. He hasn’t stood out and that sure doesn’t help his cause.

“Moss has to be the PR over Hall…right?”

    Is “neither” a choice?

I haven’t been able to watch the game, so I don’t know if they already tried this… I’d like to see Lewis return some punts. The guy is fast, shifty, and athletic. Sounds like a PR to me.

Any chance we keep Wilson or can trade him? The guy can play.

  125. 125 Iowa Eagle said at 10:31 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @eagles nut
I agree… I’m rooting hard for Wilson and Hunt.

  126. 126 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:34 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Another strong showing by the Eagles defense. Juan Castillo has them headed in the right direction, at the very least.

  127. 127 Arby said at 10:36 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Moss over Hall, Laws has helped himself – did he beat out Landri? Can we keep 5 DT’s with Hargrove a part-time DE.
    Hunt over Teo.
How do you cut Donald Lee after that performance?
    Dion Lewis – WOW.

  128. 128 theguyotc said at 10:38 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Without the Hall punt fumble and Kafka pick-six, the Jets were shut out.

  129. 129 JakFTW said at 10:41 PM on September 1st, 2011:

I was thinking Hall would make the team at the expense of the 3rd TE, but Lee had a great showing today, and Dion Lewis showed he can be the KR. I’m thinking Hall is definitely gone.

Tommy, do you think the coaches make room for one of Moss/Higgins? If so, at which other position will they go lighter (I’m assuming 6WR means one less OL, TE or defensive player)?

  130. 130 Tommy Lawlor said at 10:58 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    Could go:

    QB – 3
    RB/FB – 4
    TE – 2
    OL – 9
    WR – 6

That’s a total of 24 spots, which is normal.

    53-man roster prediction:

    QB: Vick|Young|Kafka
RB: McCoy|Brown|Lewis(no FB kept on 53-man roster)
    WR: Jackson|Maclin|Avant|Smith|Cooper|Moss
    TE: Celek|Harbor|Lee
    OL: Peters| Mathis|Kelce|Watkins|Herremanns| Jackson|Justice|Dunlap|Vandervelde

    DE: Cole|Babin|Tapp Hunt
    DT: Jenkins|Patterson|Laws|Dixon|Hargrove(DE)
    LB: Fokou|Matthews|Chaney|Clayton|Jordan|Rolle
    CB: Asomugha|Samuel|Rodgers-Cromartie|Hughes|
    Lindley|Marsh
    S: Coleman|Page|Jarrett|Allen|Anderson

    ST: Dorenbos|Henery|Henry

Yes, no true FB kept. Backup OL is a big question. I have no idea how that’s going to shake out. I think some of the backups aren’t currently on the roster. Laws beats out Landri, but it’s a tough decison. Jordan is on this 53-man prediction but I think he gets replaced. 6th WR/return man is another possible place where we see movement. Anderson is kept for STs value. That’s not what I want, just what I think happens.

  132. 132 Jason-E said at 11:04 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Anyone else against keeping 6 WR? I’m not willing to bench Cooper or Smith for a KR.

  133. 133 Arby said at 11:21 PM on September 1st, 2011:

    @EaglesNut

I like the 9 OL idea too and agree with 99% of your roster. I think they’ll keep Schmidt at the expense of Lindley though.

  134. 134 Tommy Lawlor said at 11:25 PM on September 1st, 2011:

Keeping a 6th WR doesn’t mean the guy has to play every week. He could be the PR early on if Smith is inactive while still recuperating.

When Steve comes back you might have someone else banged up and inactive. Or maybe the extra WR sits and DeSean is the PR that game.

    You can mix and match.

  138. 138 Matt said at 2:45 AM on September 2nd, 2011:

Jeanty probably ensured a look by another team tonight. I was very impressed with Lewis and Hunt tonight, both not only wrapped up there roster spots imo, but earned some playingtime. I am really hoping chad hall and jlh are cut in favor of Moss.

If teams believe that the Eagles weakness is in the linebacking corps, and plan an attack based on the running game and short passes, then haven’t the Eagles put them where they want to before the game has even begun?

Things we learned in the pre-season.

Our LBs are very good when our DL gets penetration. We have no idea how they hold up against good teams when our DL doesn’t perform.

putting him on the field and thus stealing reps from some young talent? now thats more of a problem! especially with his $$$ this year
