Draft Talk

Someone had request a list of games / players to watch. So there you have it.
Key games for Eagles fans will be:
UNC / Clemson – Noon
USC / Notre Dame – 730pm
Those games feature plenty of LB prospects. Some will go in the 1st round, others will go later.
Feel free to ask questions.
Resource to use for rosters, numbers.

Tommy, not related to the draft, but have you heard anything on Grahams return?
Eagles are optimistic, but need to see him practice. Reid said this week would be his Lehigh.
Also, what position would you have the Eagles take first in 2012 and what player?
I’d love Boston College MLB Luke Kuechly. Tackle machine. Good size. True MLB. Not an athletic project.
Do you think 2012 might be the year the Eagles finally draft a LB in the first round?
Possible. Needs to be the right situation. Eagles must need LB. Right player has to be available. Value has to work.
Eagles might go for LB in free agency or through trade. Might not be huge need on draft day.
Eagles won’t reach for LB. That’s not a position they roll the dice on.
Thanks Tommy. I don’t have nearly the time to follow college football anymore, so this kind of thing is exactly what I like. So if i’m able to tune in to a game or two saturday, I know which would be worth watching when it comes to potential eagles prospects.
The draft is good, but you should write a post ripping Samuel. He is complaining again saying the Eagles don’t want him. He’s not a team guy at all, he’s been doing this since they signed Nnamdi. I kind of wish they traded him at the deadline now.
The Eagles have tried to trade him twice this season, why wouldnt he complain abit?
Because it’s not profesional. He’s been complaining ever since he got to camp because of the Nnamdi and DRC additions. It’s too much of a me first type of attitude, even Jackson tweeted during his holdout how much he liked the Nnamdi signing.
So its okay for the Eagles to shop Asante even tho he is there starting CB and last season was the 2nd best defender on the team.
That’s the way the Eagles do business, they stocked up at the CB spot this offseason with two more good CBs so in a way Samuel is more expendable. If you can get value for a player at a stacked position, then there is nothing wrong with exploring that option.
Off-topic:
Bolden or Mcgloin?
And is Joepa EVER gonna pick one?
McGloin.
Put up a post on this 2 weeks back.

Guys the Eagles need to look at in the first three rounds
Kuchely (MIKE)
Vinny Curry (DE)
Melvin Ingram (DE/DT)
Kheeston Randall (DT)
Aufie Cole (SAM)
Tank Carder (MIKE/SAM)
Thanks Tommy. This is exactly what I was hoping for. If I get to watch a game tonight, that’ll be the one.
Tommy, is Kuchely instinctive enough to be a good nfl mike? He strikes me as a good, steady but not great prospect to my very unprofessional eye.
