Pats at Eagles – 1st Half

Posted: November 27th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Philadelphia Eagles | 171 Comments »

Dear Eagles Defense,

Please come out and dominate the game up front.  I don’t care if we have 3 sacks or 13, but do make sure to hit Tom Brady over and over and keep him from sitting in a clean pocket and ripping us to shreds.

INACTIVES:

QB Mike Vick
WR Jeremy Maclin
OL King Dunlap
OG Julian Vandervelde

DE Brandon Graham
DE Phillip Hunt
CB DRC

The good news is that Nnamdi Asomugha is active.  Let’s see how much he’s on Gronkowski today.

Go Eagles !

Whats up with Graham? Thats from his ribs, right… not an aggravation of the leg?

Go Birds, thats all I got. Not feeling confident, but I’ll be wearing my heart on my sleeve for the next 3 and a half hours irregardless.

Eagles playing physical, we gotta get a 3rd down stop though, that play to Welker was killer you knew from the presnap motion it was designed to go to him.

By the way the hurry up came out, called that in the previous thread. Penalty stopped it in its tracks fortunately.

  72. 72 Ben Pasquale said at 5:11 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Cole was blocked in the back on the 2nd TD… (also Young was facemasked and his pick could have been a pass interference call)… really frustrating

  73. 73 Anonymous said at 5:06 PM on November 27th, 2011:

There’s NO reason to be playing any man-to-man defense today — as long as Nnamdi’s injured and out.

You have Asante who’s a zone animal.

And Brandon Hughes who’s facing one of all time best QBs.

    Protect the guy.

  83. 83 Zachary said at 5:07 PM on November 27th, 2011:

  98. 98 Anonymous said at 5:13 PM on November 27th, 2011:

  99. 99 Anonymous said at 5:14 PM on November 27th, 2011:

With Vick we’d be winning this frigging game!!!

  100. 100 Anonymous said at 5:16 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Guys, they just mix in Chad Hall from time to time to see if they can catch the D off guard and get a couple of yards. Don’t make such a big deal of it.

  101. 101 Anonymous said at 5:23 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Agreed, I’m thinking we should pull Swoop in from the sidelines and see if he can catch the D off guard as well.

  102. 102 Anonymous said at 5:26 PM on November 27th, 2011:

I understand mixing him in when we are getting a steady dose of McCoy, but mixing him in when we are barely seeing McCoy is only helping the Pats. Not to mention, when Chad Hall is in the backfield, is it really “catching the D off guard”? I don’t remember a single time in the last two years we have run a pass with Hall in the backfield. Lastly, if you want to “mix” things up, what happened to Lewis or Brown.?

  103. 103 Benjamin Price said at 5:37 PM on November 27th, 2011:

The problem is that is was on 2nd and 14, basically guaranteeing a 3rd and long.

  105. 105 Anonymous said at 5:17 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Think about it…when the Pats were studying film this week there’s no way they thought Chad Hall would get a handoff on 2nd and 14. So for you complainers that was just Andy pulling a fast one on Belichick!

  106. 106 Zachary said at 5:18 PM on November 27th, 2011:

It’s only a big deal because McCoy has like 3 runs so far.

  107. 107 Kammich said at 5:19 PM on November 27th, 2011:

I love having Cullen Jenkins on our team. High effort, nasty streak, big hitter. He’s a perfect compliment to the quiet steadiness of Patterson. Hope his hand(I think?) is okay.

  108. 108 Steve H said at 5:19 PM on November 27th, 2011:

  111. 111 Zachary said at 5:20 PM on November 27th, 2011:

    And on running plays? Fuhgetaboutit.

    Pats are dominating.

  135. 135 Zachary said at 5:31 PM on November 27th, 2011:

This FG is on the fat fuck and his side kick. Give the ball to LeSaen a couple times. He’s by far our best player. Fuck.

Ya see that right there Jackson? THAT is why you won’t get paid elite money and why you really, really shouldn’t.

  140. 140 Zachary said at 5:32 PM on November 27th, 2011:

21-3 run. Sorry if I’m not happy with that drive. Fuck get in the god damn endzone. Jesus christ our offensive play calling is shitty….what else is new though.

  141. 141 Anonymous said at 5:33 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Or at least call a running play or two. Give Mccoy some goal line touches and maybe not give Brady over 2 minutes to carve up Juan’s defense again.

  142. 142 Anonymous said at 5:32 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Take another million per off DeSean’s contract.

  143. 143 Zachary said at 5:35 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Pass rush needs to quit getting so low and taking themselves outta the play. Have had decent pressure early in plays, but he steps up in the pocket and they are so wide and miss and are on the ground. Brady is murdering us.

  144. 144 Anonymous said at 5:35 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Difference between Eagles and very one else . . .

THE RED ZONE — and the horrendous play calling.

    RUN the DAMN Ball.

Not interested in D-Jax choke job. Run it.

  145. 145 Niklas Dyrby Johansen said at 5:35 PM on November 27th, 2011:

We simply HAVE to keep them from scoring before the half. They’ll be getting the ball first in the second.

And then they allow Brady to run for, what, 15 yards?!??

  146. 146 Anonymous said at 5:35 PM on November 27th, 2011:

And Brady has now even more rushing yards than VY.

  147. 147 Zachary said at 5:37 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Well disiplined team we got here. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I hate our coaching staff.

  148. 148 Zachary said at 5:38 PM on November 27th, 2011:

The question isn’t will they score, but will they score a TD or a FG before the end of the half.

  149. 149 Anonymous said at 5:38 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Part of the Wide 9 is ignoring the ball — even while looking at it — and going with the cadence.

    OUTRAGEOUS

You’ve gotta make that catch, Nnamdi!!

  154. 154 Anonymous said at 5:41 PM on November 27th, 2011:

DeSean looks like a 5 yr old watching a scary movie every time a defender comes near him on a pass attempt.

  155. 155 Zachary said at 5:42 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Fat ass is going to go to the half. I know it. Pussy coach, he’ll call a draw and be happy to go into the half down 10

  156. 156 Thorin McGee said at 5:42 PM on November 27th, 2011:

OK, so the defense sucks, the refs are on the take and the offense can’t keep the muzzle away from its own foot. Am I forgetting anythying?

  157. 157 Anonymous said at 5:42 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Alright, so Dion Lewis for a 4 yd return, and then let’s break out our secret weapon, Chad Hall, for this drive!

  158. 158 Anonymous said at 5:43 PM on November 27th, 2011:

How bad would it look like if DRC was in the slot and not Hanson.

Avant is good — but the quickness Welker shows that quickness, not size, seems more important.

  159. 159 Zachary said at 5:43 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Can we get a real kick returner already? We don’t have anyone who will look better than Dion?

  160. 160 Daniel Suraci said at 6:23 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Been wondering this too. Is it really that hard to find a decent RS? (honest question)

  161. 161 Zachary said at 5:44 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Our team is so fucking dumb. Throw it away. Fucking idiot.

  162. 162 Zachary said at 5:44 PM on November 27th, 2011:

We have a poorly coached team.

  163. 163 Zachary said at 5:44 PM on November 27th, 2011:

  164. 164 Zachary said at 5:45 PM on November 27th, 2011:

  165. 165 Anonymous said at 5:46 PM on November 27th, 2011:

It scares me how players lack the awareness that w/ 59 seconds and 1 timeout that the enemy is the CLOCK.

  166. 166 Zachary said at 5:46 PM on November 27th, 2011:

Sigh, if there was ever a time to dig deep and bring your A game, this would be it.

  170. 170 Zachary said at 5:57 PM on November 27th, 2011:

They needed their “A” game 6 times earlier this year and failed to bring it. It is just disgusting how poor their effort is. How poor their game plan is. And how poor disipline is. This team isn’t a good team. Its players aren’t good together. It’s coaches aren’t doing a good job. They show what they could be from time to time, but overall this is a bad team and it shows up more than it doesn’t.

  171. 171 Sjampen said at 5:52 PM on November 27th, 2011:

How about we pay DeSean the minimum base salary, and then give him 1 mil. for ever 10 catches in a season. Maybe then we could put on the right set of hands.
