Going back to NY is like returning to the scene of the crime. Since our win at the New Meadowlands last year, we’re 3-9. It is like some kind of curse is on this team. Did DeSean Jackson anger the Football Gods by running along the goal line instead of just scoring? That’s my theory. Some might say there is just a general sense of hubris that set in.
Whatever the case, I hope and pray that we can exercise some demons tonight and get the curse removed. What will that take? Chad Hall scoring a TD maybe. DJax being humble? Sacrifice 72 virgins. Heck, sacrifice 72 Virginians just to be safe. Do something, but let’s get the Football Gods off our back. Those guys are relentless.

Call me positive but if we win tonight, then all we have to do is win our last 6, Giants have to lose more, and Dallas has to lose one more, other than the game at Dallas where we beat them, and we win the division. Went to the Carolina monday night game in 06 and told my friend we were going to win out. We won our last 6, beat the Giants in the first round of the playoffs in OT. So there’s that.
Won our last five in 06, again my mistake. Anyways, can’t wait for the playoffs!!

One guy that I will be paying attention to is Riley Cooper. As the second starter with Young at QB, Cooper doesn’t really have any excuse for not having a few catches and making a few plays, especially considering how the Giants will likely put most of their attention on DeSean.

I think this is the last game where we’re obligated to root for wins. If we win this – we’re alive, and god knows we can come alive late in seasons. If we lose – well, this is the last must-win for us and it would be irresponsible to root for lower draft choices if we’re not making the playoffs.
Yep, because the Giants lost last week after we did, it kept real slim hopes alive, which will end tonight with a loss.
I will never root for the Eagles to lose.
I’ve said this before, but to me, you always root for your team to win. You never want to see your team quit. The difference for me is that once they are out of it, I care much more on individual play than team play. In other words, I want to see the core players and young guys play well. If we end up loosing though, I don’t get upset and can comfort myself with the fact that we are getting a better draft choice. But still, I just can never understand rooting for your team to loose.
Always want the boys to win.

Egh, as much as we want to rail on DeSean for some of his major flaws, blaming DeSean on that one is just not fair. He was 10 yards ahead of Amukamara and had to stop and come back to it. That was all on Young.
Which is why I started by saying of by saying it was tremendously underthrown. I just get tired of him consistently making poor adjustments and poor efforts on balls that aren’t perfect. It hurts inside seeing all these other players make the effort while he doesn’t 😉
I still think it is a stretch to put any blame on him there. He came back and tried to force the ball out of Amukamara’s hands while tackling him. I putting any blame on him for that one is simply due to him being on the screen, not because he made a mistake.

Personally, I go for it on 4th there. Not a huge net gain and there was a significant chance he booted that into the endzone for even less of a gain.

I’m sorry, but regardless of whether or not the Refs fucked up the call, Jackson can NOT do something like that to allow the refs the CHANCE to fuck up that call. It was an idiotic thing to do at the end of a very good play. Just stupid.

Absolutely. A penalty after the play should be assessed after the play, regardless of what happened during the play. It just seems like if the rule is in fact right, a delay of game penalty should also be assessed the same way the taunting penalty was assessed.
