All Aboard The Rex Express

The Eagles horrific start to the season means that our playoff “hopes” come down to Rex Grossman leading the Skins to a win over the Giants in NY.

Done deal.

Rex is a highly underrated QB.  Take away his losses and he’s undefeated.  Take away his INTs and he’s got a QB rating in the 90s.  The man once single-handedly led the Bears to a Super Bowl.  He got zero help from the defense and STs.  Rex lives for challenges like this.  Frankly, I wonder why the NFL is even bothering to play the game.  Rex has it in the bag.

Then all we have to do is figure out how much we want to beat the Jets by.

Just another easy Sunday.

Relying on Tampa or Washington was frankly, always a bridge too far. If only a certain team hadn’t so conclusively undermined the ‘skins confidence earlier in the season

A bridge too far. Good reference and way of thinking.

Too bad you’re wrong. Never doubt my Skins!!! Grossman to the rescue

Little resistance on the first 2 bridges. Following form. Nijmegan Fox next

The Skins open with a flea flicker that is picked off. Good as a punt, right?

Rex has to give them the lead in order to lead his 4th Qtr comeback.

    Genius!

He tried, but the Giants wouldn’t take the bait. Jerks.

Skins are up 3-0. Giants D struggling with some coverages.

Giants are horrible. How did they ever beat the Patriots?

  10. 10 Anonymous said at 1:41 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Steroids. Cheating. Using 13 players on defense. The usual stuff.

    17-0. This is beautiful.

Is this Giants D worse than the Patriots D?

  17. 17 Kammich said at 2:09 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Wtf, Ben Obomanu just picked off Caleb Hanie. Is Pete Carroll pulling a Belichick?

    The QB match-up in the KC/GB game…

    13-for-18, 149 yards
    4-for-13, 42 yards

Hint: The top number ISN’T Aaron Rodgers. Whacky.

    Twilight Zone.

I can’t help but smile when I see Antrel Rolle get absolutely abused. Probably my most hated Giant.

  21. 21 Anonymous said at 2:26 PM on December 18th, 2011:

He’s not likeable, I agree, but more than Osi? More than Eli, who you can easily both respect and hate?

  22. 22 Joe Malone said at 2:39 PM on December 18th, 2011:

I like Eli. For most of his career he was a goof ball. Then he Beat the Patriots and I will always respect him for that. Nothing better than being in a room of all pats fans watching their team collapse.

  23. 23 Anonymous said at 2:24 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Jokes aside, Los Gigantes are coming up small, down 17-0 late in the 2nd.

If they lose here to drop to 7-7, we need what … them to lose to the Jets next week while we whup up on Dallas, then the Giants to beat Dallas in the final week, trying hard because we might mess around and lose to Washington for all they know.

I don’t have any hopes for these Eagles if they get in, but it would be nice to see NYG, DAL and WAS flail and miss at a golden opportunity to bury us/win a division title.

  24. 24 Anonymous said at 2:26 PM on December 18th, 2011:

I don’t wanna be the party pooper, but I am afraid that Eli will win this..

  25. 25 Anonymous said at 3:17 PM on December 18th, 2011:

    Or Not! LolEli

  26. 26 Anonymous said at 3:21 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Eli is trying to make you look bad.

  27. 27 Anonymous said at 3:34 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Never looked so bad in my life. And. I. Love. It.

  28. 28 Steve H said at 2:30 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Redskins shouldn’t get away from the run. The Giants stopped em a couple times there late in the quarter but I’d keep running at them if I was them.

  29. 29 Kammich said at 3:01 PM on December 18th, 2011:

    Drew Brees: 23-for-27, 285 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs.

    Sheeeeesh.

  30. 30 Kammich said at 3:12 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Make that 25-for-31, 341 yards and 5 TDs now. Unreal.

  31. 31 Anonymous said at 3:21 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Flash in the pan. He’s only done that for 5 or 6 years.

  32. 32 Steve H said at 3:31 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Dudes a machine, my man Aaron Rodgers on the other hand musta woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe a KC fan dumped some exlax in his porridge this morning. Either way looks like Rodgers is finally going to have a bad game this season.

Tommy your boy Ryan Kerrigan coming up big on 4th down

  34. 34 Anonymous said at 3:35 PM on December 18th, 2011:

    Game…………..blouses. Burgandy blouses.

On a related note, should we make a run at London Fletcher. I know he’s old, but he may be a nice 1-2 year bridge to a young MLB.

I know he loves DC, but money talks as well as the prospect of a playoff run.

  35. 35 Thorin McGee said at 3:45 PM on December 18th, 2011:

We should sign him just to protect DeSean and LeSean. Dude has put out more Eagles than poachers.

  36. 36 Thorin McGee said at 3:40 PM on December 18th, 2011:

I’ll say it again: There are no two teams that I have more faith in falling apart at the end of the season – letting the Eagles into the playoffs – than the Cowboys and Giants.

  37. 37 Anonymous said at 3:50 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Problem is I have very little faith in our team taking care of business

  38. 38 Thorin McGee said at 3:43 PM on December 18th, 2011:

Oooh yeah, there’s Sexy Rexy unleashing the dragon. The coaches didn’t call that play, Rex called it in the huddle. “Toss power trap? Gay. Fuck it, I’m going deep.”

Wow, only 3 DT’s active against the jets power running game?! Mmmmh..
