CAR at PHI – 1st Half Thread

Are you ready for some mediocre football?  Me too!!!

Inactives:

QB Michael Vick

RB LeSean McCoy

RB Chris Polk

WR Jason Avant

WR Greg Salas

OL Nate Menkin

DE Phillip Hunt

We have 10 active DL.  I sure hope Darryl Tapp loses some snaps to Vinny Curry.  Let’s see what the kid can do.

Big hope is that MNF brings out the best in the players.  This is their chance to show everyone watching that they can still make plays and play at a high level.  Or not.

Go.

Eagles.

I guess.

  16. 16 TommyLawlor said at 8:47 PM on November 26th, 2012:

Good drive. Got the ball to playmakers. Looked crisp. Gotta be better in the RZ.

Now, if we can do that about 60 more times, we get our parade.

  18. 18 shah8 said at 8:48 PM on November 26th, 2012:

Heh, and reading that earlier blogpost…not a surprise you couldn’t move Seth Joyner off his position. Joyner looks to have my view, and that’s flattering, but it’s just very, very, hard to blame Vick in any objective sense for the poor operation of the offense. It’s not even that the line is weak, but that it was lacking in any sort of consistent cohesion, and give up pressure up the A gap too regularly for any QB to succeed well.

  70. 70 Corry Henry said at 9:13 PM on November 26th, 2012:

  84. 84 Mike Roman said at 9:17 PM on November 26th, 2012:

  85. 85 DF587 said at 9:20 PM on November 26th, 2012:

I’m not sure splitting 13 carries between 2 RBs qualifies as a 1-2 punch

  86. 86 DF587 said at 9:18 PM on November 26th, 2012:

Yikes. Did you see the Field Goal unit coming off the field. Shouldn’t they be excited that they did their job well?

  87. 87 Mike Roman said at 9:19 PM on November 26th, 2012:

And Andy is upset that Cox was running on late for the FG. That’s the problem.

  97. 97 BobSmith77 said at 9:30 PM on November 26th, 2012:

I would bet the Eagles are among the league leaders in penalties that have wiped out positive yardage this year. Been a long time that the Eagles have played such consistently stupid football in all 3 phases (offense, defense, and special teams).

  98. 98 bdbd20 said at 9:31 PM on November 26th, 2012:

‘Dink and Dunk’ seems to be the new philosophy with Foles under center. Not even trying to hit anything long on the first reads it looks like.

  119. 119 shah8 said at 9:44 PM on November 26th, 2012:

Remember, Brown is doing this with a OL that has been struggling with run-blocking. The OL does seem better today.

  130. 130 BobSmith77 said at 9:52 PM on November 26th, 2012:

My 2 cents – Foles looks confused out there and is going 45 while everyone else is at 75. Looked like that a lot of the game last week too especially in the 2nd half.

Setting up our screen passes has be an example of the brilliant slow con of our staff. After setting it up for weeks, opponents don’t suspect a thing when our linemen let the rushers past untouched.
