Mills to Start?
Posted: September 17th, 2016 | Author: Tommy Lawlor | Filed under: Philadelphia Eagles | 435 Comments »It sure sounds like CB Leodis McKelvin is going to miss Monday night’s game. That would leave the Eagles with 3 healthy CBs in Nolan Carroll, Ron Brooks and rookie Jalen Mills. Carroll will start on one side. And the other?
There is a real possibility that Mills will get the nod. I think he absolutely should. Mills played well last Sunday. Brooks was up and down. Obviously Brooks has more experience, but he only had 3 career starts coming into this season so it isn’t as if he’s someone you can plug in at CB and count on. Mills is more naturally gifted and is more instinctive. There is the added benefit that starting Mills allows Brooks to focus on playing the slot. It can be tricky to shuffle between the slot and playing outside.
Check out Mills in action.

The thing you love about that is Mills playing smart football. He’s off the receiver and focused on the sticks since it is 3rd/7. Mills keeps his eyes on the QB while also knowing where the WR is. Mills knows he has Safety help over the top so he focuses on the underneath coverage. If RG3 doesn’t make a bad throw, Mills is right there to pick it off.
This wasn’t the only play where Mills looked good while doing his job. He really impressed me. I was worried when McKelvin went out of the game, but Mills and Brooks did a good job of filling his shoes.
Les Bowen wrote a good piece on the situation. He got the DBs to share their thoughts.
Carroll said he isn’t too worried about having to nurse Mills through the game, if the rookie starts.
“He’s one of the more ready corners I’ve been around, as a young guy . . . I don’t think he’s scared. He embraces the challenge. I don’t have to tell him anything,” Carroll said.
“He’s confident. You can see that in his play, you can see that from his demeanor. There’s not too much we have to tell him when he’s out there.”
Jim Schwartz has also praised Mills quite a bit. Schwartz loves the attitude Mills plays with, especially his competitive spirit. CB is one spot where confidence and attitude really do matter. Corners are out on an island. They need to be cocky, almost delusional. Mills was up and down in the preseason, but now seems to be fully healthy and fully confident.
CB is uncertain down the road. McKelvin is 31. Carroll is a UFA next year. Brooks is more of a role player than anything else. It would be nice to see if Mills is a player the Eagles can count on to be part of the future. Monday night will be a huge opportunity for him.

The Eagles added QB Aaron Murray to the practice squad earlier this week.
The team needed depth at QB and Pederson knew Murray from their time together in KC.

Solid arm. Some mobility. Knows the offense. Solid choice for a young #3 QB. We’ll see if he has a future with the team. Pederson learned from Andy Reid, who learned from Ron Wolf. You add QBs on a regular basis and always look for more.

Use the Schwartz Lonestar! Use the Schwartz!
Nice article on ESPN on Carson Wentz using the Drew Brees prep regiment as passed on by Chase Daniel: http://www.espn.com/blog/philadelphia-eagles/post/_/id/18448/carson-wentz-taking-the-drew-brees-approach-to-preparation
I hope that includes this type of outburst vs. the loser Giants.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=400791618
That’s a rematch this week, I think. We’ll see if either team has improved on D.
And now the Eagles players are going to protest during national anthem on MNG. Not sure how I feel about that. *smh
I don’t really agree with doing it, but I do respect their right to do so. I don’t think it is necessarily the best means to the end they seek either. I’d much rather see all of those players who are doing demonstrations leading voter registration and get out the vote drives in communities currently represented by politicians who are insensitive to the needs of the communities who are most victimized by the problems guys like Jenkins are trying to highlight.
They’ll be blasted for anything political. On or off the field. Not sure if it helps or hurts their cause to do whatever it is that they are thinking of, but protests are not supposed to be comfortable. I don’t especially like it but in their opinion their views are brushed aside unless they do something that cannot be easily ignored.
The same people who carp about political correctness the most demand it of our athletes. And as they love to say, “you have a right to be offended”.
As far as protests go, I’m not sure there are many more peaceful forms than what we are seeing throughout the NFL, so frankly, I am in full support of it. No one is delaying games, no one is disrupting other people’s lives beyond having several articles and the announcers talk about it. The protest is doing exactly what it set out to do, create the dialogue over racism and discrimination, without creating separate problems. You can argue how effective these protests are certainly in terms of effecting change, but I have no issue with players expressing their beliefs in a way that creates such minimal disrupruption in an attempt to create discussion.
If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.
We don’t like them getting uppity.
We talking about politics again? cool.
Barack Hussein Obama, greatest president of our lifetimes, or greatest president ever?
Best until Hillary fixes everything wrong.
don’t trigger me bro
Just take a knee man…
ugh
He’s definitely the coolest ever. He’s one charming guy.
Now that Trump has conclusively answered the question, I think greatest American citizen of all time should really be the starting point for this conversation.
Definitely our lifetime.
I’m also gonna miss the Biden / Obama antics.
Bill is still the best/coolest. I’d like to see Obama try to play some tenor sax.
Oooh, ooh! I love this question, because people always look at me sideways when I answer! It’s a tie between Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush.
I wasn’t. The Eagles players were.
after several cops were shot in philly
might be better to delay that self serving moment
You can love cops and hate police violence at the same time. You can make an expression of sympathy for victims of violence (police and otherwise) while having an equal amount of sympathy for cops, military service members, etc. Generally, they do a great job doing a job i wouldn’t want to do – but we can all agree that there’s things that could be done better.
Think the biggest problem is being made to feel like you have to be on one side or another. False dichotomies are only helpful if you don’t want anything to change.
the timing isn’t right to do this after someone ambushed cops. might give it a few weeks
Yeah, and the timing isn’t right to talk about gun control after a mass shooting. The time is never right, is it?
yeah, blame the guns, blame the cops, blame everyone except the people actually committing the crimes.
that would be too easy
This logic is so dumb and reductive. C’mon.
But you realize this statement is exactly what Kaep is protesting, right? The *specific* incidents where cops killed unarmed citizens and received no punishment. And they blame it on the protests, the black on black crime, the bad neighborhood…
What you’re missing is that the people actually committing the crimes in this case are police officers. Which is why people are upset enough to protest.
Or… maybe the time IS right to move the issue forward before more people resort to violence. Fixing this benefits the good cops, too.
so disrespecting the national anthem will cause people in the hood to suddenly respect cops and not ambush them?
after years watching crime increase, I’m skeptical.
Oh FFS, get the f**k out of here with this racist, festering pile of BS.
the old liberal racist chant?
thanks for proving my point that this disrespecting the anthem solves nothing
Well, it brings racist piece of shits like you out from the sewer, so that’s something.
yet which poster is cursing ?
thanks for playing
I realize you’ve been getting a lot of practices in false equivalency lately due to the current election, but this is absurd.
Let’s just say your racism is a much bigger societal issue than my cursing.
your cursing shows your intelligence level.
Hahahahaha. Oh my god. Are you some sort of bizarro-troll?
I doubt you actually will believe anything based on science and studies, but here you go anyway: Swearing is actually a sign of *higher* intelligence.
http://www.sciencealert.com/people-who-curse-a-lot-have-better-vocabularies-than-those-who-don-t-study-finds
you should really think about going back and editing your posts. This thread isn’t about your abusive rants.
hopefully the moderators take note of your posts and take action
I would hope the “moderators” are more concerned about you spreading vile racist BS about “the hood ambushing cops.”
I dunno what charts you’re using buddy but violent crime is at an historic low right now. Lay off the 24/7 news cycle. And you don’t actually want to have a conversation about what will get people to respect cops you won’t like the answer.
I understand why this bothers you so much now. You think the goal of this action is to actually solve the entire problem in one fell swoop.
Well, sure, it must seem absurd from that perspective. I promise you, that is not the purpose. Read some of the interviews. The Jenkins interview is a good place to start.
After that, you may feel differently. At the very least, you won’t make uninformed statements like the one above.
Well said
SUPERREC’d
I actually love cops. Soldiers, too. Have both in my family.
That doesn’t mean I support police brutality or bullshit wars of aggression for corporate issues.
I wish conservatives could understand they are two different things.
Out of curiosity you actually believe that democrats are immune to wars of aggression ? History says otherwise but interesting.
Don’t think ChoTime was making a partisan point but political groups have blood on their hands, be hard not after 200yrs. To me its always striving to do things better – think that’s just a fact of life in a competitive society.
Conservatives tend to confuse criticism of the dysfunctional elements of institutions with treason.
Also, you’d do well to separate political parties with the conservative/liberal splits. I assume you know that those have changed over the years. The basic tendencies of the conservative mindset have not.
I can’t say enough how much I appreciate this comment.
Actually, 5 people were shot. Do they only matter if they are police?
Like football, it’s all about leverage and angles…
Self-serving? That’s ludicrous. Utterly delusional.
Let’s see if I can lay this out in a manner you might be able to comprehend.
The anthem is about the country. It is not about the military, it is not about the cops, or firemen. It is about our country. The flag, the anthem, these are false idols. What we honor is our country, and more specifically, the ideals upon which it was built.
Our country is built on values of equality and justice for all.
Right now, things are happening in our country, which is built on those ideals, that go directly against those ideals. What’s worse is that the bad things are being done by people who represent the country, namely, bad police officers. Not all police offers, but bad police officers. The bad things are institutionalized, and these bad things controvert the ideals of our country.
If the anthem is about the country, and thus about its ideals, and those ideals aren’t being followed, particularly in reference to members of a specific race, then it makes 100% sense to protest, during the anthem. Not only does this point out that our ideals are not being followed, it does so on a national stage so that people are aware of it.
It’s about bringing attention to an issue that needs to be fixed if we are to truly claim those ideals as our own. If we are not upholding those ideals, then we are betraying our country, and our anthem rings hollow.
Anyone who tells you that such a protest is “unamerican” is either a complete fucking moron, truly “unamerican” themselves, or has an agenda.
Do yourself a favor and read this article. Might make you reconsider your fellationary stance towards BLM and it’s clueless supporters. http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-myths-of-black-lives-matter-1455235686
Then ask yourself if the belief that cops are out to get them makes blacks more or less likely to shoot at and be shot by cops.
So wait, no innocent black men have been killed by cops? Is that what you’re saying?
It’s great and we should all support them.
Who plays nickel corner then? The one thing that should out to at the preseason practice opened to the public and in preseason was how consistently overmatched Brooks is even against mediocre WRs.
I think the versatility of guys like Watkins and Jenkins will allow coach Schwartz to mix and match some coverage to get the job done.
Jenkins in the slot, I’d think.
I like the sound of that.
Exactly. Brooks sucks v. pass, very good v. run.
I think Bob Smith is angling to get CJ Smith back on the roster with this comment. Is it still nepotism if he is right?
Nickel is Brooks. If he struggles or Mills/Carroll go down on the outside then expect Jenkins to be taking the majority of snaps in slot.
Brooks. nolan, Mills, Jaylen Watkins, Jenkins, McLeod are all capable of playing slot corner…
.
Who is the Bears slot WR? Im drawing a blank
Bears aren’t a good team. Better than the browns. But our D is so good that i think we should win.
One thing that I did like about Carson – no turnovers. Was sacked but not fumbles, no terrible throws in the middle of the field, no cross-body throws, no hero ball. But he also wasn’t afraid to pull the trigger on deep balls.
Amazing Poise..
..
That may have been the most impressive performance I have ever seen in a rookie QB debut in terms of how advanced he was Presnap. Wentz owned the Browns defense Presnap. He looked like a puppet master forcing them to show their intentions Presnap, then quickily processed the info, knew where to go with the ball, and shreaded their defense… Was Peyton Manning already that good Presnap at the begginning of his rookie season?
..
Who the hell could have imagined that a kid from Northh dakota, who almost missed the entire preseason, could already be THAT advanced throwing into NFL windows?.. I watched a hall of fame Qb (Rothlisberger) and the best WR in the NFL (ANTONIO brown) avoid josh Norman all game last week. Carson Wentz had no problem going after Joe Haden as if he was an average corner.
..
Mind blowing how well the kid handled all the exotic blitzes and disguise the Browns DC tried to confuse him with. He made them pay every time they tried to blitz him… Im sure that really impressed his teammates and that the veterans are a little more confident in him than they were a week ago.
..
What was really great about the no turnover performamce is that there wasn’t much luck involved. It’s not like defenders were dropping a bunch of INTs that landed in their Lap.
..
That was easily one of the most Impressive rookie QB debuts I have ever seen. Nothing “homer” about it… It’s also impressive that he could play that well even tho our run game was just average that day. It’s not like he benefitted from a dominant run game
..
If he looks THAT good again on Monday night leading us to a 2-0 start, Wentz Mania will really explode. Be nice to build up some more confidence going into the steelers game
Even when Kelce tried to give the ball away on a bad snap Wentz was able to avoid disaster.
Do you think we see a contingent of new Eagles fans from ND at the game Monday night, or do they show up in MN?
Both!
Both venues or both people from North Dakota?
Very small contingent if they do. It’s 10 hours from Fargo to Chicago. It’s the equivalent of like Philly to Charleston.
I’ve done Philly to Detroit and Cincinnati to Philly, I’m figuring this is a little further but with less traffic tie-ups.
Philly to Charleston through a vast stretch of flat and barren earth.
But it is all flat and straight up there. Everyone drives 110 mph, don’t they?
Montana is the best. The speed limit is 80. They straight up were like ehhh screw the pretense, go ahead and leave, it will still take you 12 hours.
My wife is from Montana. When we visit her family there or in Oregon, they always say, “hey, let’s go visit Aunt What’s Her Name, it’s only 5 hours away.”
The other thing that I find crazy about that part of the country is that everyone has relatives from every state within 1000 miles. If you’re from Philly, you might have family in, say, Manayunk or Delaware, and that’s exotic. If you’re from Montana, you’ve probably got cousins or something in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska at the very least.
not a lot of options if you don’t want to inter-marry.
10 hours is nothing to people from that part of the country. That’s like going to get groceries.
(Tyler is from that part of the country.)
They had tons of Bison fans show up at the Iowa State game today and that’s a 9 hour drive.
heh, I’m reading that thinking, “what? did we just sign someone from Notre Dame?”
The Vikings game is in Philly so I hope they don’t show up in MN for that 🙂
Good point.
Good catch.
CBS, NFL, ESPN, ETC… Almost to a man, all the experts and wannabees say the stage may be too bright for Carson Monday night. Based on everything I’ve read (my interpretation anyway) not sure I agree. If we can weather the storm and play composed through one, he should adjust. Haven’t been this punped since 2014…
Carson hopefully won’t have to do too much.
Let’s face it, hardly any of the national pundits have even watched more than a highlight reel of Wentz vs the Browns and they’re making judgements off of their generic notion of an inexperienced QB.
The national media severely underrated our roster any way, so im really not interested in what they have to say
.
Facing Jay Cutler ISNT rocket science. Beat him up and he will unravel and turn the ball over.. The Bears back up center and average at best offensive tackles should have a rough night against schwartz DL. The strength of the Bears OL is their Guards, which should be nullified by the Cox/Logan tandem
Eh, it’s the “safe” prediction. No big deal if he excels, but if he bombs, they can say they called it.
Or maybe it’s just because he’s a ginger. Andy Dalton would always choke in prime time games, so maybe that’s become a stereotype now…
Gingers currently 2-0.
Maybe, with his fair skin, they are concerned that the stage will literally be too bright? How many lumens are we talking about from those soldier field lights?
No worries, 2-0 here we come, gonna win this Bears game
Pretty sure most of their “analysis” could be recorded before the season if they just left the names out.
“The rookie QB saw some success, but might struggle in prime time.” could be recorded for general use between the comment about facing his first real test and bouncing back after adversity.
Sounds like my first marriage, minus the trade part…
I’m not really worried about that, he seems unflappable. To play well in your first start…
What worries me is my Bears superstition. They always seem to suck, but they almost always seem to beat us weirdly.
Eh, it’s a mixed bag with them. Unless you go back to the 80s, it’s probably a 50/50 split.
Mills better step up now that Rowe was traded. In fact I think that is one of the reasons why he was traded. Didn’t it seem like they had 10 corners in training camp who could potentially play. Where did they go?
Probably reading eagles blogs like you and i.
Yes, this is all intriguing, but while biding my time and twittling my thumbs until Monday night, I ran across this piece about the anointed one’s TD throw to J-Matt last Sunday: When the erstwhile (former, not intrepid) reporter, whose view was blocked, asked him who threw him the pass, he responded,”From Wentz it came.”
Bring them on! Sorry, Tommy.
Classic.
Winner.
How about this possibility? When Wentz finally wins the crown for the midnight green, perhaps we will all be invited over to his pad to share a glass with good King Wentz’s lass…or lassie, depending on his gender preference.
Long way to go .. looong looooooooong… many many national anthems to sit thru before we get theres
NDSU just tied Iowa…
NDSU just won, pretty cool
We need to get that QB – who is he?
Easton Stick. Apparently NDSU turned on computer generated names.
I love how we match up with the Bears. This is a great game for Wentz because it will be a step up in competition from the Browns, but nothing we shouldnt be able To manage.
..
The Bears have a solid front seven, better than what the Browns brought to philly, so it will be important that we clean up our run game because as the competition increases, Wentz will need the run game to take some pressure off him.. The OL has some run blocking to clean up from last week, but once Wentz gashes the defense with a big run Keeping the ball on a zone read, it should provide a little more space for Ryan Mathews to get loose.
..
Jason Peters and Lane need to be sharper this week because they will face a better edge rush than what the Browns threw at them.
,.
The Bears also have some nice Linebackers that complete their solid front 7
…
Now the good news….. The Bears secondary is a mess. It’s as bad as the Browns, possibly worse, so wentz should be able to manufacture some big plays down field to the WRs… Need to get DGB going, and another good game from Agholar could be great for his confidence. I anticipate a monster season out of jordan mathews, and he should have his way with the Bears DB’s… The Bears safeties are pigeons we can pick on
..
As for our Defense, our edge rushers should have a big game against the suspect OT’s of Chicago, who are no where close to as good as joe Thomas was last week. Our edge rushers should have a huge impact on this game, beating up Cutler and forcing turnovers. I expect us to get at least 5 sacks this week…
..
The Browns may have weak OT’s but they have a real nice guard tandem, but as good as kyle long is, playing thru a bum shoûlder when you have to deal with Cox and Logan is a rough task.. The Bears are also down to their back up center already, so im expecting Schwartz DL to take over this game and batter jay Cutler..
..
The Bears RB is average, middle of the pack type RB who isn’t scaring anyone. Their TE Zack Miller is also solid, but nothing special
.
Unfortunately Alshon Jeffries is a beast, and Kevin white is raw, but really talented, kind of like DGB.. This won’t be an easy match up for our corners, but they faced similar big body WRs against the Browns, but Alshon Jeffries is on another level so we may have to roll Safety help over to his side. If we struggle to hit Cutler it becomes a dangerous match up especially on the road with a rookie QB… But if our DL roughs up Cutler the way I think they will, we should be able to win this game..
..
These are the types of teams we have to beat because of our tôugh schedule. Gotta take care of business Monday night, with a tough matchup against the steelers on deck..
…
27-16 Eagles win, Ginger Gunslinger brings a 2-0 record into the battle of Pennslyvania week 3 against the steelers
Are they not airing the Nick Chubb game this week on National TV? I don’t think they aired the Georgia game last week either… He will prove to be the best of a stacked RB class… They show Fournett and McCaffery every week, when will they realize that Nick Chubb is the Main Event?
Bison beat Iowa. Wentz pumped.

You know what side Picard would be on!
“Make it so.”
Not that I want this place talking about politics regilarly, but I actually love the fact that this is one of the few places that complex topics can be brought up, different opinions expressed and a civilized conversation can be had (for the most part). So while I would rather focus on the Eagles here, it’s probably a better place to talk about politics than most other places you visit on the internet.
It mostly ends up as people just yelling their talking points past each other, as on all internet forums… Chances are, if it’s civil, everyone already agrees with each other.
WTF? #2 FSU getting destroyed by Louisville. Kinda sorry I wasn’t watching from the beginning. 63-17 with 2:00 left in the game. Somebody got some ‘spllainin’ to do.
63 points?
The big story going in was Lamar Jackson who Mike Vick tweeted, “He’s better than I was…” but that Louisville D was all over the field. They have a great opportunity to go undefeated and play for the national championship. The only team on paper who could beat them is Clemson, but Petrino is probably looking at Clemson film now, even though they have to play Marshall first.
I just saw the score and my Jaw dropped. WTF happened? How did FSU allow anyone to Do THAT to them? Louisville is a good team but FSU shouldn’t be losing by 40 points to anyone. Impressive win for Bobby Petrino
Ole Miss tears Bama up on opening drive.
I think Ole Miss is going to beat Bama… #UpsetSpecial
..
It would be a very impressive upset considering how pissed Saban was last week, you know he worked his team hard and had their undivided attention all week
Ole Miss has beaten Alabama the past 2 years.
Hard to call an Ole Miss win this year an “#Upset Special.”
Bama 16 or 17 play drive. Hurts misses WIDE OPEN player by a lot in end zone on 3rd & 7. FG . 7-3 Ole Miss. That will be killer if Miss wins.
Chad Kelly’s turn to be stupid. Holds onto ball way too long at own 1 . Ryan Anderson gets to him forces ball out. Scores TD. 24-24 Alabama ties game.
time left?
6 mins in 3rd Q. I put it in after you replied.
this game is crazy
It’s been non stop scoring since 2nd Q started with many reviews.
Profootballtalk confirms there’s “widespread belief” the Rams and coach Jeff Fisher have an extension in place.
Good for him. He earned it.
(Pfffft. Darn. Almost said it with a straight face.)
They really don’t care about winning at all. Shame thats the franchise in LA and not the Raiders
Dude has to be a Jedi. What in the literal…
Washington Post took a shot at justifying it:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fancy-stats/wp/2016/09/15/jeff-fishers-rams-contract-extension-seems-crazy-but-really-isnt-that-nuts/
Another article there mentions Keyshawn Johnson has said that from his sources, Jeff Fisher never wanted Goff, but wanted to keep the picks and draft more quantity. But, it sounds like the team (*cough* owner *cough*) wanted to make a bigger splash for the move to LA, so forced the trade.
So… maybe the extension is an apology for basically providing the team with no real QB for the immediate future, and making the coach suffer through that in a contract year. A three year extension might be enough time to get Goff ready and/or find someone else, to give Fisher a reasonable shot. Of course, Fisher might be the *reason* that Goff never makes it, if he never does…
wow he gets an extension bc the owner picked the qb? does fisher want goff to be good?
That was a personal guess. The WP article was saying that the Rams’ overall stats are really more towards the middle of the pack, not that bad, and a big improvement from before he got there. They have been supposedly victimized by tough schedules, and lack of healthy and good QBs.
My guess was that if the owner completely botched this attempt at QB by forcing that trade (then letting everyone see on Hard Knocks), and knows it, then *maybe* this is an apology or at least giving Fisher a chance next year with a more-seasoned Goff.
Ohio State / Oklahoma weather delayed. Estimated 9:10 pm eastern kickoff. Mich State/ ND on NBC.
Coach Doug Pederson plans on starting Ron Brooks and Jalen Mills in base package situations when Philadelphia travels to Chicago on Monday night, with Brooks sliding inside in nickel and dime packages.
Wait, so Carrol is no longer the starter?
There are two starting CBs; Carroll is one, and Brooks/Mills will replace McKelvin this game.
i thought it meant carroll will play outside in nickel, but brooks and mills to start
Sounds like in the base defense, Carroll and Brooks are out there. In nickel, Carroll and Mills are on the outside, and Brooks is in the slot.
Right. But that’s contradictory to what anon originally said. Was just clarifying.
Ah, you’re right — the first three times I did somehow read his comment as being the same as the philly.com and phillymag articles, but it’s not — the articles both say Carroll and Brooks are the starters in base.
Pretty sure that was a typo. It was by the yahoo fantasy people (at lwast where I saw it). That is not a crack update team…let me tell ya.
Per BLG, “McKelvin being out means Ron Brooks
will start on the outside in Philadelphia’s base defense, per Pederson.
The former Bills corner has logged four starts in 47 career games
played. When the Eagles utilize their nickel defense, Brooks will shift
inside and rookie Jalen Mills will take over on the outside.”

Sammy Sleeves is going to make his debut for minny tomorrow. I need to change my avatars jersey color.
Make sure you put a couple starbursts to represent the draft pick, i.e. future stars, he brought us.
McKelvin is definitely out: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20160918_Ertz__McKelvin_ruled_out_for_the_game.html
but, “Pederson said Brooks would start in the base package and move to the slot in the nickel and dime packages, with Mills playing on the outside. “
I like the idea of starting Mills. He is the 7th rounder who we had rated as a 4th rounder I think.
So he was supposed to be the steal of the draft.
He was a four year starter in Louisville as well if I recall.
He was also the player who took out RG3 with that big hit at the sideline.
I bet Schwartz does start him and see what he can do against da Bears.

I believe he went to Louisville Southern U. Someone help us out, was it LSU where he attended?
Lsu.
I don’t usually like the prospects of a 1st round corner to start year one, much less a 4th rounder taken in the 7th.
no time like the present to ruin his confidence.
Interesting nugget from Jimmy:
“The Bears’ starting front seven has a combined 23 years of NFL experience and just 54.5 career sacks.”
http://www.phillyvoice.com/week-2-nfl-picks-2016/
Interesting, but not true…
According to the ESPN depth chart, the starting front seven has a combined 32 years experience and 79 sacks. Their 2nd string OLB is Leonard Floyd, who they took with the #9 overall pick to bolster the pass rush.
Clearly Jimmy was accounting for a vet or two as bot being starters with the disparity. Though 10 years for 20 sacks isnt scary.
Just the opposite, he was discounting vets. Maybe he included Floyd as a starter.
Maybe. The point is still valid. I think. Whether collectively they average around two sacks per year or nearly 2.5 per year.
ESPN depth chart is garbage, it has Sam Bradford as the starting QB for the Eagles with Stephen Morris and Chase Daniels as the backups, no Wentz. Jeff Maehl is also an Eagle while DGB is not.
The ESPN depth chart for the Bears front 7 matches the official Chicago Bears website. I did cross-reference them before posting. Did you check the Bears depth chart or just the Eagles depth chart?
Maybe Im just ignorant about Chi, but I LOVE this match up.
Mills starting just makes me more uneasy about throwing Rowe away with the old fruit.
Mentioning Rowe, he got injured in practice and was on crutches. Just passing the word along.
Just saw the Sproles commercial for Tide…lovely.
What channel?
Nfl
Who is everyone pulling for today, Dallas or Washington?
I think I’d prefer Dak to play poorly. I don’t want them to ever solve their QB position.
Yeah, I want Dallas to lose more than I want Washington to lose.
Man Ezekiel Elliot looks terrible so far
WASTEAM’s NT is out too.
Yes it’s imp that Dax stinks
skins need to lose.
Romo is perfect.. good very good but tragic F ups..
And very brittle.
If Cox and Barwin ever get a chance to meet at Romo with a hi-lo hit it might just end his illustrious career too.
Id rather him survive.. bend him, dont break him
Kirk Cousins missing a wide open receiver deep for what would’ve been a TD.. that guy is not a franchise QB.
Just talked to a guy in a Wentz jersey here in the mall in NE. He’s from Media. We are both excited. It’s happening!!!
looking at the scoreboard… what in the everloving fuck? Baltimore down 14-0 to the Browns already lol.
Maybe the “but it was against the Browns” argument can go away when talking about Wentz
mccown is good but already hurt and out of the game. ravens just not good apparently.
So uhh anyone else think Flacco is overrated?
In a game and 1/4 I don’t think I’ve see one impressive throw by Dak. The guy certainly has some poise, but he’s also had guys wide open on a consistent basis.
Zeke will be alright long term, but is off to a slow start. I doubt he will ever prove to be good value as a #4 overall pick. He doesn’t do much to create for himself.
Theyre giving him the easiest throws, Tight end rollouts accounted for about 70 of his yards on 2 plays.
looks like they can retire tom brady
He’s gonna be Wally Pipp.
I may be in the minority here but I’m rooting for chip in SF. he’s up in Charlotte
yeah was just giong to say that
Why would you root for that Dick?
Me too. A good Chip is a fun thing in the NFL.
I’m not rooting for him, but I certainly want to follow him.
Who’s the idiot dc in was that’s not shadowing Bryant with Norman
that was the weird thing about Norman. In the Pittsburgh game he never covered the best receiver either.
He only plays one side
can’t they switch him?
left side only
Also, cousins looks terrible this year
Washington never beat any team with a winning record last year. The schedule is catching up to them now.
makes me feel even worse about last year’s team
chip’s defense doing chip defense things.
Kiko Alonso recovered a fumble!
who said he was washed up?
So brownies not so terrible?
new qb makes a lot of difference. ravens era is over.
demarco murray busted a 70yd run after being tackled for a safety.
dammit, i just traded him for Jameis.
ill advised sir.
I could not be sicker of hearing about the Cowboys Oline.
kiko putting in work on gorrapolo
zeke looks like run of the mill back
too early to tell but i’m much happier picking up any of the top 5 rbs in next years draft.
agreed its too early but top 4 pick expect to see some flashes at least but haven’t seen anything yet
Meh. O line is where to focus.
The next Trent Richardson
one can only hope
Looks like norman following byrant a bit now.
DeSean should have had it
Cousins = Foles
I was sort of hoping for that (well Foles of 2014/2015). It seemed like Foles was just in a good groove all of 2013, including over the summer, when he was in the battle with Vick. He never seemed to get that feel back — reports from summer and training camp of 2014 were very different, and he never really was that good again. For his sake, I hope he finds it again, but it does not seem likely.
So I was hoping that the same would happen to Cousins this year (and going forward). He played well last year, albeit against not-so-good teams, but it may have been a one-year thing. And I won’t be hoping anything for his sake until he’s not playing for an NFC East opponent 😉
Surprisingly low score for Giants Saints
Pathetic game so far for both teams. Giants are trying to give it away but the saints refuse
Say Garroppolo Galapagos 10 times fast
lol
texans getting payback for that playoff game last year
i hate cousins
doesnt seem very hate-able. Rooting for the redskins against the cowboys.
So… U like that then?
def not, worst catchphrase ever.
And nieces and nephews suck as well.
Especially at Xmas time.
put fucking norman on bryant
Jason Garrett trying to go Trickdaddy on them
Dak Prescott will become another McNabb.
Doubt it.
An insult to McNabb
That was Folesian
Zeke with the fumble!!!
SAMMIE COATES going OFF today!!!
Kirk Cousins has a weak arm. Very evident against Dallas today.
Browns are doing their thing
This Dallas v Washington game is my first real look at Prescott. He’s definitely poised and mobile. Nice touch on short stuff. However not seeing any anticipation throws. Will be crucial in RZ and for long term NFL success.
Looks like the Skins are playing to stop the run.
Redskins play calling in red zone sux…
The Dallas defense makes the Browns defense look like the 2015 Denver Broncos. They’re brutal.
LOL. “Huge stop by Dallas.”
Cousins sucks
Baltimore took the lead
cam, no roughing the passeer calls in 16 games
I suspect MediaMike will smile on reading this.
Not a big fan, but that is ridiculous if true. Denver should have been called multiple times for that. It was frustrating for us with McNabb; they need to call things consistently.
Ugh I hate to admit that Dallas has something with Prescott
He’s looking good, but I’m not seeing much outside of the short to intermediate passing game. Not much challenging the sidelines, and nothing deep. Good defenses are going to force him out of that comfort zone.
Also not like the Redskins defense outside of the DL and OLBs are anything to write home about
I haven’t been watching closely til late, but Trent Murphy is making Doug Free, (RT of the best OL EVAH!!!!) look really, really bad.
Trent Murphy was a guy I really liked in his draft year
Haven’t really been impressed with their DL today, even.
Remember he’s a rookie 🙂
Does he even have a passing td yet?
I’m glad. He looks good enough for Jerry to consider him Romo’s replacement. They can give him a giant contract and be stuck with a mediocre at best starting QB for the text 10 years.
Dallas paid the refs 😛
EE is not looking especially great either. Seems like a quick powerful guy, but not seeing exception quickness or burst. Still very early though.
Washington secondary outside of Norman is pedestrian
You’re giving them too much credit.
I’m having a hard time figuring out which defense is worse. They both look awful, and not just physically. Blown assignments left and right.
How did Josh Norman look today? Elite? I only caught the last 7 minutes of that game…
not on dez the whole time, did force a fumble.
Bleah
Is it now official that Zeke is a fumbler?
a. mo with a dagger in washington
Let’s go Saints . . . . Let’s go Skins! Both games still in reach.
I was hoping Begals would push the Steelers a little more. Mentally wear on them a bit leading up to next week. Looks like Steelers are coasting.
Not looking forward to that butt whipping. . . .
Cowboys pass protection looks like complete garbage imo.
Yeah but that’s nothing new,, when they refer to them as the best OL in the NFL a, it’s always been about their run blocking, their pass protection has never been at that same elite level as their run blocking
In the first half last week against NY, Prescott was barely touched because Spags was more concerned about the run and the QB scramble than about timing passes. Did Prescott do much damage today with his feet? I didn’t see the game, but if Dallas won, I’m guessing Washington defense was a tad predictable.
tight game in washington
dm29 130+yd game.
Here’s the ball game. Dallas 1st down and it’s over. Force a fourth, and it’s still possible.
And Washington can still breathe. Wish the rookie had been stupid there.
cruz is back, i’m happy for him.
Yea he made great catch over the 10th string CB for the saints
I am not. Can’t stand this prick at all.
much less giants hate since i left new york
That may be the ball game . . . . horrible penalty.
Giants and Cowboys both win late . . . . . !@#$. Not a good start to the weekend.
But dallas beat the skins..so
Quick takeaway, having not seen any of either game: NO and TB will be battling for WC position in late December. NY defense is better than it was last year. Washington has holes in its armor. They go to NY next week. If Giants win next week, they’ll be 3-0 and 2-0 in the division. Skins will be left for dead. If we lose to either the Giants or Dallas, the first time around, the division will be a long rode to hoe.
i don’t know that anyone in our division will win so many games that a team that starts bad won’t have a chance to keep up..
Also there have been a few times where the skins started bad in recent history, yet managed to claw their way back into the division hunt, so I don’t know that Im writing them off at 0-3, but they certainly don’t look like a team that is clearly building on their division title last year and taking their game to the next level, which is a surprise to me, because I thought dallas and the Giants would prove to be bigger frauds and that this division would come down to the Eagles and skins in December. Sure doesnt look that way now, but it’s still way too early to get a read on all these teams.
..
But if the skins lose again next week, Cousins is going to start feeling the pressure
..
Annoyed by how shitty the Saints are losing to the Giants like that. How many more years is Sean Peyton going to get to turn that team around? It’s been pretty ugly the last couple of seasons,..
skins 0-2 i can dig it
but they were the media favorites heading into the season
I would have rather seen them win, and dallas be 0-2…
Wonder if Cousin is already regretting not signing a Longterm deal? He throws a bomb to Doctson who got them into the redzone. If they score they would be up double digits and probably win that game. instead Cousin throws a pick in the ENDZONE, dallas marches down field, scores and wins..
..
Cousins and the shitty skins defense choking away that game in front of their home crowd. #Pathetic
I’m positive he is. Gruden said at halftime that the QB had to be better, that the game isn’t that hard. I’d be very surprised if he’s there much more than next year (if they use him as a stopgap next year) or at least as the starter. He’s just a terrible QB.
should have signed the deal
yeah have to assume they were offering him something decent…at least what Brock got , he shouldve bit
cleveland sucks
chipkelly having a comeback
or not
This just in: Andy Dalton has been playing with a lingering concussion for the last 4 years, when he crashed into his ceiling.
HI-O!!!
Looks like Marvin Lewis also reached his ceiling already. Wonder if he will have the balls to make the switch to McCarron at some point this year? I understand it’s a hard decision because they are so good in the regular season with Dalton and McCarron is an unknown, but the Bengals are very close to that famous definition of Insanity where they keep doing the same thing, and expecting different results, even tho the results have pretty much been the same for years now.
..
Bet part of marvin Lewis WOULDNT mind if Dalton goes down with an injury for a few weeks, so the difficult decision of benching Dalton is out of his hands…
..
At this point, I almost wish the Bengals WOULDNT bother taking one of the few playoff spots, since they implode as soon as they get to January any way
I think Marvin gets a little more love than Jeff Fisher only because the Bengals contend consistently as they fall flat consistently. Rams seem to show up for their division rivals, and then mail it in for their other games. A lot of talent on those two rosters getting squandered.
Yeah I imagine all the talent on those rosters would look like a very different team with a real coaching stud like Bellicheat in charge.
..
Marvin Lewis has basically become andy Reid without any of the playoff success
..
Jeff Fisher is the single most Incompetant coach in the NFL. Im convinced that no amount of infusion of talent can turn a Jeff fisher team around, Jeff fisher makes Rex Ryan look like Bellichik
..
Ridiculous that the Bills lost because the Rob Ryan defense couldn’t stop the jets, yet offensive coordinator Greg Roman was fired,.. Probably lost all credibility with the players. The firing of Greg Roman is one of the most blatant transparent acts of Nepotism
..
Marvin Lewis needs to be Fired
.
Jeff Fisher should never coach in the NFL again, when you have been a coach since I was a child, and you still can’t get it done, it’s time to hang them up.
.
Rex Ryan needs to be Fired
..
Chuck Pagano, and Ryan Grigson should be fired before week 8
..
The NFL needs to stop recycling the same washed up coaches.. Thankfully at least the Eagles arent afraid to give some fresh blood a chance
..
If Im the Owner of the Bengals, while I still have a great roster in place, I would make a coaching switch and hope that the fresh voice can get the roster over the hump, sort of like when Tony Dungy took over and got that roster over the hump…. If Marvin Lewis HASNT even come close to getting it done by now, not sure why the owner thinks he ever will. He is a veteran coach set in ways that clearly haven’t been championship caliber,,. Time to turn the page
Kirk Cousins is the poor man’s Andy Dalton. lol Skins
Useless Saints. Really hoping they could pull out an ugly victory today vs Giants.
The Giants are kind of lucky that they broke in their new D against Romo-less Cowboys, and they barely pulled that game out. And where Drew Brees slapped Oakland with 400+ yards in the air last week, they ran for less than 90 yds. So NY invited NO to beat them on the ground, took Brees out of his comfort zone and Sean Payton could not respond. I expect NY to take the same approach to Washington next week. But Jay Gruden is another matchup guy and he’ll be going up against a division rival, so I expect him to have more than Payton did. Division games are always worth watching
Saints may have reverted to their tradition of being garbage on the road and that Brees extension might look like a Romo-style deal in a year or two.
Maybe. They gave up a lot of points at home to Oakland, and then tightened up @ NY. When they had that bizarre home/away pattern wasn’t it their defense just stinking it up? I had the impression that Payton and the offense were fine and just in need of help defensively. Anyway, getting shut down by NY is concerning.
At least Chip Kelly lost today…
Monday night still seems so far away…
you get to see sleeves in about 2 hours
I’m actually looking forward to it. At least when he throws short of the sticks on third down, I won’t be screaming at the TV.
Be interesting to see if having a real QB opens things up for All Day.
Teddy played pretty good last year.
Sean Smith looks worse than Nnamdi and Maxwell. Just looked horrible on Julio Jones for 21 yard TD. It wasn’t like it was long and he got 7-8 yards on him.
Wow, was just reminded of something. The Browns already added RG3 to the list of QB’s they’ve had, but if McCown can’t go next week it’ll be Cody Kessler. That’s 2 more QB’s added by week 3, and it would be 3 if McCown hadn’t already suited up for them before lol.
we can’t be that far behind. we’re one chinstrap away from the aaron murray era.
Rams beating seattle 6-3 at half time,,, the Rams Offense has to be the worse unit in the entire NFL. I don’t think any team has an offense or defense more pathetic than the Rams. They are extending Fisher for 3 more years which means Goeff doesnt even stand a chance if they are going to waste the first 4 years of his career(which are crucial for QB development) under Jeff Fisher…
..
If that’s not bad enough, they inexplicably gave a crazy contract extension to a WR who can only catch screens…
.,
Runningbacks don’t have a long shelf life, are they really going to waste 4 or 5 years of Gurleys career under Jeff Fisher?
Not a good day for Winston.
Gus Bradley going to be fired if the Jaguars can’t rebound from their slow start.
very true
Is Andrew Luck the most overrated QB ever? Not that he’s necessarily bad, but definitely not the second coming of Manning/Brady as he’s made out to be.
lol, I’m of the same mindset.
qbs are as good as the oline
Things that Donovan McNabb never said for $200 Alex.
’cause Don had some outstanding lines for his most productive years.
Exactly, but according to him, he needed weapons.
Luck needs both though. You can see some really good QB skills with him, but he has not elevated anyone else’s game it would seem. It’s also quite possible the coaching staff isn’t all that great. Some of being great is situational — the combination with the coach and other players. It is not working for Indy, and they have had several years with Luck to try and fix that.
That team is tremendously devoid of talent. Grigson(?) is doing Luck no favors. If Luck doesn’t have an amazing game, that team gets blown out every week.
Yes he is. Pre draft hype is incredibly strong and long lasting. That is why I am watching Bradford right now – pre draft hype. Any list of top five qbs for three years now at least either have had to have luck on it or if not a big disclaimer about why the list maker is being so rude not to include him. Lots of excuses. Just like Bradford.
Andrew Luck is not good again today. Everyone says he is the 2nd coming of Peyton Manning but all I see is Eli Manning.
Cue the excuses in 3,2,1…
No that’s Wentz
Wentz is the 2nd coming of Eli?
If that means 2 rings I’ll take it
He looked really good last week.
Just like Eli. Good to great for some games, mediocre to bad for many more.
This is comparing a donkey to a racehorse. Luck is inconsistent because he has to carry his team and is not quite up to it. Eli is just a decent, kind of mediocre QB who gets on some hot streaks. He has never produced at Luck’s level, and when he won, his teams did the heavy lifting.
Last time I checked, they were both taken #1 overall. Is it that far fetched that Luck is no better than Eli and not a mythical football God he is hyped to be?
Sammy Sleeves was also taken #1, so was Jamarcus Russell. What does that have to do with it? I am all for kicking overrated golden boys off their pedestals, but this is going too far.
In 4 years in the league he had 2 good years, 1 mediocre year, and 1 bad year. His stats are very similar to Eli’s on average.
The resounding excuses for him is that he cannot win by himself…sort of like Eli.
sooo guess that jeff fisher extension gets announced tomorrow.
If the Rams hold on, Jeff Fisher will move to 5-4 against Seattle as Rams coach (23-33-1 against all other teams).
Seahawks needed a last second comeback last week too. Im going to go ahead and say that this is god punishing the Seahawks because Wilson probably banged Ciara before marriage.
Who’s ready for a week of slobbering over the cowboys?. Sigh
meh, zeke looks terrible. they might ned to call meyer and ask for the secret formula.
I think the problem might be related to the length of his shirt.
They look terrible, but that didn’t stop all the commentators from saying how great they are. If “Best Offensive Line in the NFL” and “Dak’s poise” were a drinking game America would be hospitalized with alcohol poisoning.
Also “Sam Bradford was terrific at the end of last season” [not included: in garbage time and losses]
Eh, I think he was pretty good the last half of the season. First impressions had already been made though, as he was awful to start the year. With Minnesota’s defense, he could easily be good enough for them to win — he just has to not make big mistakes. Not sure that Bridgewater threw deep all that much either so they may be OK with Bradford’s biggest weakness.
Kempski has convinced me with comparative and contextual stats. Even at his best at the end of the season he was still below average.
He hasn’t quite for me. There are other QBs who have a hot stretch to start the season then fade — he was comparing against a lot of those. Bradford was getting better the whole year. Thought his best game was in the loss to the Cardinals — that was a good defense and he did very well against them.
Pretty much been the story of his whole career — he really hasn’t spent two consecutive years in the same offensive system. There is no QB who could be great in those circumstances.
The downfield throwing, while much improved at the end of the year, was still a concern — it’s possible that playing for the Rams permanently killed that instinct. But he really deserves the chance to play in a system for a while (and doubt he’s going to get it in Minnesota either). But it will be the best team he’s played on.
Fair enough. I just can’t get behind a guy who always has an excuse for mediocrity, especially a silver spooned #1 pick.
hard to get good when you have to learn a new system every year
I don’t buy that excuse. If you’re good at your job and go to another company, you don’t need years to understand their system.
It’s not that complicated.
Carson Wentz seems to have handled it pretty quickly.
Brees went from Shottenheimer to Payton and tore it up.
It was his fourth year under Shottenheimer before he was really good. And he was for two years there. Once he got that stability and growth, yes, he could then go into another system and still be good — which he was, with a pretty stable environment in New Orleans. Those first years can be critical though.
NFL offenses are. Can you name another QB recently who was great from the get-go? I mean, he really hasn’t had *two seasons* in a row. Other than 7 games, where he had his best stats, before his first ACL. At this point, it’s probably permanently limited his potential, but he’s never really had a chance.
I’m not saying he’s Dan Marino, but he could easily get to be a top 10 QB.
It’s quite possible Wentz is better, of course. There are certainly some raw skills there that Bradford does not have, and perhaps some intangibles too. Way too early to say — even if he has an RGIII season it may still be too early. I’m not at all disappointed at the trade, but I have no grudge against Bradford and would like to see him do well.
Nah, he can’t be a top 10 QB. He is who he is.
He COULD have been, but we don’t have a time machine. He has a track record, not potential. That track record shows he’s firmly planted at a top 19-13 QB. He’s fine. If he had the luck of Eli Manning he’d be a Hall of Famer.
Plus, the more he loses -the better for the Eagles.
All I have left to root for is the Vikings to lose
I would like to thank David Johnson Lamarr Miller and Andre Luck for combining for 30 fantasy points today. Spencer Ware also gets a middle finger.
I had R. Wilson, C Hyde, and AJ Green. You would have destroyed me.
Weird week.
Antonio Brown, Amari Cooper, AJ Green all really quiet.
doug martin, arian foster – who i traded fitz for
That’s more than I got for Gronk.
Also have gronk… in another league. Black Unicorn held that spot down just fine this week.
Sammy Purple Sleeves debut.
And…. a throw behind the line for zero gain!
And Sammy airs it out on the first play!!!
just kidding..
sleeeeeeeeeeeves
all turnover plays reviewed dummy
damn, rodgers has a quick release.
erik kendricks is a beast
at least one of them is
I just watched the “Enemy Intel: Getting The Ground Game Going” video on the Eagles’ website and now Greg Cosell has me very worried about the Eddie Goldman vs. Jason Kelce matchup.
I’m worried about the Jason Kelce matchup every week.
Shame Minny’s OLine forgot how to block now that Sammy’s there. Sacks, hurries, and blocked punts. Maybe it’s a sleeves disease.
You’d think he was used to his center getting blown backwards after playing behind Kelce for a year.
ugh, dammit give it to the fat guy for the td rodgers
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, multiple offensive players have begun to complain about quarterback Kirk Cousins, pointing to a lack of decisiveness, erratic play, and confusion.
“We’ve got the New York Giants as soon as we leave here, so he can watch the tape, find out what’s going on if he’s not sure what the indecision might be, why he’s missing some throws, but you know, it’s a tough game. He’s got people around his feet,” coach Jay Gruden told reporters after the game. “He’s got to make some tough throws and usually ones he would normally hit but he missed a few today. We’ll coach him up.”
3rd and 15 checkdown special
not sure sam is the problem in this game, that old is turrible.
Rodger’s release is so damn fast.
Evening my friends. Been traveling much of the day, and didn’t catch much of the games. Anything interesting to report? Thanks in advance.
Slobberfest over Cowboys and Dak.
Rams unsucked and beat SEA
Cousins is terrible again.
Cousins really sucked
After 2 weeks, Texans and Cardinals looking very much like winners of their respective divisions, Raiders D cannot hang with Broncos, NE not going away, Miami is the best 0-2 team in the league, and Pittsburgh looking like the real deal. That’s all got.
Sleeves airing it out????
Sammy not shabby
Sammy hurt.
Oh what could’ve been. The Eagles should be the team of Dix and Cox.
sllllllleeeeeeevvvvvves
and the shaun hill era resumes.
Is it just me or is Aaron Rodgers kind of shit tonight? He’s missed at least 2 deep balls pretty bad and generally just doesn’t look too sharp.
he does look off but it might be the pressure getting to him.
just hitting dudes in the hands
That was the best long ball Ive ever seen sleeves throw. Wonder if he’s ubermotivated tonight.
Almost as pretty as Carson’s deep ball..
Hell of a catch too.
Sam Diggs that catch
Also probably helps when WR actually CATCH the ball
Thanks for barely pointing that out
Hate seeing a player we had do well elsewhere for basic reasons …. thanks for barely pointing out how I barely pointed that out
It’s not like we gave up on him. We got a 1st round pick back. I’m quite fine with that.
Yes, if the Vikings are terrible that pick does get much better. Just not sure they can suck enough to make that really matter.
I agree with what we got for him… I just want to see him crash and burn because he didn’t do anything for us here
I’m probably way to hyped on Wentz to truly care anyways lol
He was doing just fine by the end, with a pretty putrid offense around him — it’s not like it was his fault. Bradford played well enough to get us a prime pick in return; nothing to begrudge. But there is much more to hope for in Wentz — and now we get to see that come a year earlier.
+ no more bathroom speeches
Also helps when ur playing with your peterson
uh why didnt they call a timout
Dak for president.
Poise!
Quick, run another 7 yard out pattern.
run the ball andy
4th and less than one, why wouldnt you use the fatty?
sleeeeeves having a big night
Howie couldn’t get Diggs too?
deal in the works
Diggs for Marcus Smith
ap hurt
bradford is straight balling on sunday night
Diggs reminds me of Mizzou Maclin before he became soft in the league. Love his talent but Chip would have never picked him because he’s not a character guy
got a quicker twitch than maclin
Maclin was juking everyone out in college. Diggs isn’t afraid to go up and get it so there’s that too.
This Stefon Diggs kid is pretty good.
should have started diggs. sigh.
dropped him when teddy went down, now i can’t find him 🙁
Sam looking good
The AP injury looks like bad news.
And I hate to admit it, but I really like the low gloss helmets, especially the ones with the angular cutouts.
I hate that they’re a different color purple than the uni. Why are you asking for my man card?
why arent they feeding the fatty…
Would love to see Wentz do that one day
So…#LastEightGames now?
Regression to the mean comes to mind
