Speechless

I had no idea they would play the game of the century. Okay, that’s a bit of hyperbole, but the Eagles were great. They dominated on offense, defense and STs.
This was a 100-percent butt-kicking.
The Eagles are 3-0.
They have allowed the fewest points in the league.
They have the largest point differential in the league.
They have yet to turn the ball over.
This team is legit. You don’t luck your way to a start like that. You earn it.
The scary thing is that the Eagles have gotten better each week. This team is good and is still a team on the rise.
Analysis to come later. For now, just enjoy having a damn good football team once again. What a great day.

With no key delineations in terms of historical success, tomorrow's Eagles/Steelers game may finally determine best franchise in PA

Sounds about right to me.
_
No comments indeed. Speachless and happy
These are gonna be my exact words to my coworkers
Yea but when are we gonna beat a team that’s actually good?
My biggest fear is Wentz will get hurt. Because if he doesn’t…
Wentzylvania it is.
That was a fun game. Nothing g like pulling a win out against the Patriots last year, that was flukey. This game we actually looked like a much better team
My buds and I had this discussion.
steelers will be in the bottom half of the power rankings this week
Two spots above the Eagles.
I mean if we are like the 3rd worst team that must make them 32.
Browns, Bears,Steelers, then us. Sitting pretty at 29
Carson Wentz
comp/atts yds yds /att td int sacked! rtg
23/31 301 9.7 2 0 0-0 125.9
So Wentz hit 3 times, 2 by Harrison, 1 by Chickillo per ESPN.COM
Through 3 games, the defense has given up 2 touchdowns (the Bears scored on a punt return).
I truly haven’t felt this good about an Eagles yes am since the ’04 season. It’s amazing to me what this means, and I like to compare this game to the game we played against Pittsburgh in their stadium with Big Ben in his rookie season. They whooped our ass that game and other than the Super Bowl was our only true loss that year. Wentz, the Oline, and Schwartz’ D all look mighty impressive so far.
Big shout to Mills here. The kid did a hell of a job today. Two weeks in a row he held it together vs top flight WR. Just play the ball more please.
So…we whooped their ass and will be their only true loss on their way to the Super Bowl?
Hopefully, they still have the Boys and Gnats. As long as these lose the SB to us they can mirror our 2004 all they want
I predict the Eagles score zero points next week.
We have zero chance of winning next week
What are the odds of losing?
Well I don’t want to jinx us, so I won’t say it out loud
Also very close to zero
I guarantee you now that we will not lose next week and that’s a known fact.
I predict 0-0 score.
I got odds of 100/1 on the Eagles to win the Super Bowl after the Browns game. Betfair’s listing it at 15/1 now.
We’re finally starting to get some respect.
What did you drop on that?
Only a couple bucks. I figured if it didn’t happen I wouldn’t even notice the loss and if it did, the winnings will cover the Wentz jersey I’ll definitely be buying if he leads us to a championship in his rookie season.
If I may be real for a minute, life has been pretty crappy here for a while. I’ve been looking after my mother who has been unwell since christmas, who was finally diagnosed with Dementia last month.
But today has been a chance to enjoy myself and forget all that, thanks to the team and you guys. Here’s to many more!
I feel for you .I lost my elderly Mom in March to cancer but she had dementsia for last 3-4 years. It got worse and worse. I can’t sugarcoat it for you but treasure the time you have with her. Not to say you shouldn’t enjoy relief though!
It isn’t easy to go through.
I’m glad the game is able to bring you some enjoyment through this terrible time for you. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease and it was awful to watch what she and my mother went through during that time.
Go Eagles!
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can continue to use this world as a escape from what you’re dealing with.
Sorry about your Mom. Dementia illnesses are about the worst. Keep us posted on how things go and we (and hopefully the Eagles) will try and help keep up your spirits.
My wife and I have been taking care of my 96 year old mother and her 86 year old mother. Neither has dementia, so I would not trade places with you. Just know I admire you because doing the right thing is never the easy thing. Glad the Eagles lightened the load. Hope they will bring you a lot more days like this. God bless.
Tommy..anybody how could the rams and browns be soooooooo off in their evaluation of wentz???
He looks legit!!… I don’t get it…..what did the Eagles see that they missed soooo badly??? Can anyone explain this????
The Eagles also have the coaching staff to properly prepare a rookie, especially one coming from D-II. Fisher knows nothing of developing QBs and the Browns are, well, the Browns. Yes, those teams missed on the evaluations, but I doubt they could have gotten Wentz ready the way Pederson and Reich have.
Correction: FCS/1AA and there really isn’t distance between FCS and FBS there is overlap and ND State is the Alabama of the FCS, who have beaten 6 FBS schools in a row including 13th ranked (at the time) Iowa this year. The FCS narrative is bogus IMHO.
ND State baby. Go Bison. They didn’t respect the small school guy with limited starting experience.
Though that is usually the safe bet.
Nah, everybody was way off on their eval of Brady. In this case, they just weren’t willing to risk a 2nd overall. Understandable, just glad we were the ones who hit the lottery.
Matt Cassel, Garoppolo, the guy last week, All have me starting to wonder what Brady would have been elsewhere.
He would have been good, just not argueable GOAT good
Yes yes yes
They”d be lucky to have one SB win without Brady. Still solid, but he puts them over the top.
Good point in response to a great question from nopain… Books could be written on this topic, but the “truth” is elusive
Not everything in life is knowable in advance.
Question: Has Paul DiPodesta set a record for the quickest a GM has ever put himself on the hot seat? Not drafting Wentz looks really dumb. Coming out and publicly saying it was because you didn’t think he could be a top 20 quarterback looks really, really, really dumb.
Wish I could multiple upvote this.
I can understand the Browns coming to that decision There were questions about Wentz coming out that still look legitimate despite his wonderful start. But why, why, WHY????? WHY WOULD YOU TELL THE PRESS????????????????? If you’re right, you’d look smart even if you said nothing. If you’re wrong? And it sure looks like DiPodesta and the Browns were wrong. . . .
Analytics / moneyball garbage.
Numb with joy. That’s what I’m feeling right now. That felt almost too easy.
Remember the Steelers were talking about beating up young Wentz?
Hmmm, guess they are feeling the other way around right about now.
Eagles alone in 1st place NFC EAST
Pittsburgh had 29 yards rushing today.
I really, really expected to get gashed on the ground. Great job by the front 7.
It was their biggest loss since 1989. Crazy stuff.
Yeah they havent lost by 31 since Dallas in 89 or 87. Their biggest loss in 20 years.
They hadn’t been behind by 31 since Dallas in 97, but ended up closing the gap slightly and only losing by 30.
They hadn’t lost by 31 since the Bengals beat them 41-10 in Week 2 of 1989. For context of how terrible they were that season, they lost 51-0 to the Browns in Week 1.
Chuck Noll. Been a while.
[…] Tommy Lawlor I was confident that the Eagles would play well and be competitive. I had no idea they would play […]
CBS switched out of network viewers right before the start of the 4th quarter for a more competitive game.
Mine too. Bastards.
You don’t get to complain, you rule the roost for a week, right?
Better watch out or we’ll be in labor 9 months from now…
The 4th quarter was mostly a clock milking fest, so people didn’t miss too much, except for a lovely interception by Mcleod.
And DL dominance. And the cheerleaders’ wardrobe malfunctions.
But, really, nothing major.
Yeah, that was awesome.
Cheerleader wardrobe malfunctions should be uploaded to YouTube immediately!
that’s why you need to keep firstrowsports locked and loaded at all times
Gotta try this next time…
Just be careful – they have a TON of ads! I use Firefox with uBlock Origin running – takes care of most of it.
Thanks man
Rude.
I heard on the radio before the game that no one scored on our defense unless they were able to get a 40+ yard play on the drive. I think that was the case again today. Teams are unable to sustain drives. Now, if we can eliminate the X plays…
Then no one will ever score!
That’s a good defensive game plan. Get after the QB with 4, keep everything in front of you and make them drive the field. At some point, the opposing team will make a mistake.
Crazy stats:
Sproles had only 12 fewer receiving yards than Antonio Brown.
Allowed no sacks.
PIT averaged 3yds on punt returns.
OK, fuck this shit, its officially happening, I have now the level of hype as fuck! Wentz and this mean gang green, will win us that fucking ring we deserve.
Team still has holes . . . but the future sure looks bright in Philly 🙂
The only holes this team has, is the ones our HoF OL opens up for our HoF RBs, when our HoF QB feels sorry for the other team after our HoF defense kicks their ass, and our HoF WRs and TEs already gave them a break and dropped a pass.
I’m completely over the “It’s only been a few games” thing with Wentz. You can tell when a player just has “IT” and he has “IT”. Wentz is special.
Carson Wentz has thrown 0 TDs in the 4th quarter
Killjoy!
exposed
Gotta find something to complain about 😉
Kid’s got compassion. That’s not a weakness when you’re way ahead.
I guess the glass is empty.
I wonder if teams run the ball considerably more when they have a big lead?
I posted this yesterday in one of the threads. Thought it was worth another look.
How dumb am I?
I was looking forward to observing the development of our rookie QB, watching the growth of a truly stout defense under a knowledgable, experienced DC, learning about our new head coach’s approach, determining what key draft/FA holes needed to be filled and which are surprisingly solid, and, in other words just relaxing and enjoying a mediocre season of a rebuild year as the Eagles go somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8. Doing all that while sitting calmly in my living room, sipping lemonade, taking care of things about the house. No pressure, just enjoy the ride this year.
F#$@. Two wins against crappy teams plus a six pack of Koolaid down and I’m now all hyped that this team might possibly be something more than decent and beat the Steelers tomorrow. Screw cautiously optimistic. I can’t wait for 4 PM tomorrow. I’m gonna don my fading Westbrook jersey, let the blood pressure skyrocket, the brain freeze, the lungs explode, scare the hell out of the dog, and flirt with having divorce papers served on the grounds of transforming, Jekyll & Hyde-like, into an unrecognizable midnight green creature on Sundays. I may even have a beer during the game.
I will never learn.
lol . . . I remember. Hope you’re marriage isn’t over.
No papers dammit. But there’s the Lions game coming up. Keep your fingers crossed.
Read that yesterday. Thought to myself I need one more game. Feeling the same now.
Here’s what I posted in yesterdays article:
Let’s hope we can buck that trend and get 200 on the ground.
I think the Eagles are going to make a big statement in this game.
I am sure they hear about the two weak opponents we defeated and the league has put asterisks next to our W’s.
I bet the Eagles come out and dominate both sides of the ball and take Williams and Brown out of the equation.
I picked the Eagles against the spread in pigskin pickem and changed my pick this morning, thus sending an Eagles win. I hate myself if I didn’t feel so damn good. I will not second guess the birds again. I will now lay down on my bed of nails, but it won’t stop me from dreaming big.
Remember reading this yesterday.
WTF just happened?
Sorry, the alarm went off. You were dreaming.
What?
Howie Roseman just grew 10 mm taller.
With every completed pass, the doctors get more and more concerned about this erection i’ve been having. Yet the collective mothers of the other three NFC East teams, won’t stop calling me.
Yeah, thats right, I just made a yo momma joke about division rivals, sue me,
Lol…mm or inches?
This is the USA, we gave up the metric system in the late 70s/early 80s. I have no idea how many inches that is.
I was wrong, and Im glad I was wrong, wow, just wow
Early in the game, Wentz made a few throws to WRs surrounded by 3 defenders.
Nothing close to an INT. But a misread of the coverage.
After the middle of the 1st Q . . . didn’t happen again.
Kid’s sharp.
He doesn’t seem to make the same mistake twice. If this is his floor, I wonder how high the ceiling goes….
…to Heaven
Oh, and we did that on a short week coming off a Monday night game.
Early reactions have led to a mix: BOTH Eagles are “legit”, AND Steelers are Pretenders (as opposed to contenders)
Steelers are terrible. If the eagles can beat them, imagine what Dak and the boys will do to them!!
This has been one of the most satisfying Eagle wins in a long long time… Go Birds!
Right now, we are the highest scoring team in the league at 92 points and the team with the lowest points against at 27.
Our league leading points for will stand through the end of week 3 unless Dallas scores 47 or Chicago scores 65 or Atlanta scores 34 or New Orleans scores 46.
I’d be cool with Chicago scoring 65.
Don’t forget Celek was huge today. I really thought he helped set the tone. Burton then also but Celek softened Pittsburgh’s D up along with Carson obviously.
The Eagles’ defense, which had allowed 17 points coming in, gave up just three to the Steelers on Sunday afternoon. In total, the Eagles have given up just 27 points through three games. That’s the fewest points they’ve given up through three games since 1992.
Credit http://www.csnphilly.com/philadelphia-eagles/instant-replay-eagles-34-steelers-3-game-recap
Wouldn’t 17+3 = 20?
Defense gives up 20. STs gives up 7.
Gotcha.
It’s Schwartz is about to Jim Johnson level after 3 games.
Lets just say it out loud- Howie Roseman executive of the year. Now I know its only three games but he doesn’t play in them. His job is to get the coaches and the picks and the players. Literally flawless.
When the other shoe dropped with the Bradford trade it really cleared the path for some good things with being able to add / afford some additions as time passes.
I like to see Eagles and Vikes in NFC championship game. With Eagles winning of course. Not so u realistic as it was before Bridgewater went down.
Too early to write the book on this, but I actually don’t think flawless is the right word… Something like “otherworldly,” I guess
Lets just get a DAL loss for the cherry on top. Would have loved a MIN loss for a perfect weekend.

on a MIN loss. Seeing Scam Newton battered and humbled yet again is worth more than a few spots in the draft.
its all about the eagles friend.
You don’t want that 4 to turn into a 3rd or a 2nd?
much rather have a few higher spots in the first round.
I’d much rather see Cam humiliated and humbled. If we see a guy we need to go up and get, Howie can make it happen.
No, cause that would mean a much lower pick by the Eagles this year. Also, Eagles > Vikings so no way we’re getting a 3rd or 2nd 🙂
The Vikings have a ton of other games they can lose.
Could still get a 3rd 😉
It’s not
I’m in the midst of a serious shit talk session with my Cowboys friend. He’s so deep in denial over Wentz its painful.
Ask him how it feels to be starting two running backs again and if Dak + Elliot is as good as Smith + Moose.
Apparently Arnold Palmer died. 2016 can just die in a fire.
In Pittsburgh no less
noooooooooo. RIP Arnie
RIP.
I heard when Arnie heard Roethlisberger was being a dick to some fans at his golf course, he made him go sign autographs and then told him to never come back.
Really? How I hope there’s some truth to that….
GO BEARS!!
I wonder how good this offense would be if we had a legitimate deep threat.
Ask DeSean
He’s a FA after this season..I wonder if he’ll come back for his rings.
How about a one year low ball deal?
I doubt he will. He needs to fund his failing rap career.
I think I sprained my shoulder fist pumping all day!
“fist pumping”
no…he meant shoulder fist pumping.
It’s difficult to get to the marrow, but effective when fisting properly.
I literally got up and started doing karate kicks in the middle of my living room after Sproles’ long score. Thank god my girlfriend is Brazilian so she understands nearly psychotic fandom, I probably looked like a maniac.
I was almost worried Celek was going to hurt himself fist pumping.
Why oh why must NBC continue to ruin Sunday nights with a country music song intro?
This is the worst one yet.
My feed had AC/DC blasting “For Those About to Rock”
Gotta love firstrow.
The Cowboy way
What yall drinking? Had a great tripel. And made a nice gin, tonic, lime and cucumber. Also made nachos with flank steak, tequila lime chicken. Topped it off with homemade blueberry, lemon zest ice cream. yum.
Well just fuck my chicken, macaroni and grape juice!
Can I watch at your house?
Dez injured.
Hate seeing anyone injured. Even Dez.
Even Deez
Yes agree.. Injuries in this game are pretty much unbearable
But hey if a player has to get injured let’s hope it’s a cowboy.
Love Deez as a player. . Hated as a cowboy
Oh my, that’s terrible. I hope he’s…..hey, what’s for dinner?
Deez
Consolation prize
If Dallas loses my weekend will be COMPLETE!!
Beasley just got destroyedl
If Beasley comes back in the game, the concussion protocol is complete B.S. He was clearly knocked for a loop.
altho, i think it was more of a knocking the wind out thing. i think he’ll be back.
Was the shot to the head? Looked like hard shot to the ribs to me.
Whiplash. The shot was to the ribs, but his head just snapped. That’s still a great way to get concussed.
Boys will have to bring irvin out of the stands to play WR
Ram’s are 2-1 . . . . who’da thunk??
I would have preferred they’d have beaten San Fran and lost to Seattle.
I’m ok w/either. Don’t like either team. I don’t hate Chip either, just think he’s too stubborn for his own good.
I like Seattle and they’re a vital brick in the NFC’s anti-Cam wall.
Your hatred of Cam is well known. I don’t share it, but I get it. We all have players who just rub us the wrong way.
That would be a fun field of 64 on here for voting purpose; our collective most hated player.
I’m not sure what you would do. A better challenge would be to vote for a whole team of the 11 players you hate the most. Most of us would have trouble getting past 4 but I think you’d be able to fill a 53 man roster.
I’d have to cheat using some guys who aren’t still in the NFL (Tyson Clabo for example – the guy who cheap shotted Graham’s knee), but I think I could pull that 53 off.
Chris Baker anyone?
Riley.
Baker on the Redskins.
I’ll take Cam and the Panthers over the legion of boom all day.
A challenge straight from the Andy Reid school of challenging.
That challenge was really bad but Doug had to throw the media a bone you know.
was talking about DAL
oooooooooh
Beasley back in the game
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
F@#$ Dallas.
AMEN!!
https://twitter.com/ZBerm/status/780207082607812608
Tell them Carson. The QB running with the ball in trash and thank you so much for playing the game the right way!
Just realized the Eagles dline has 3 #1, 2 #2 and a #3.
What’s a #3, puking from long night of drinking?
If you’re old enough it could be a Lawrence Welk. A one anna two…
Arnold Palmer died at 87 years old.
Pour one out. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1bf2184995185a374b2842d7a580d8de021b22df6cd479628951d8b4b1d7ad46.jpg
For real? They were name checking on the broadcast as a huge Steelers fan.
Yes USGA tweeted it at 8:40 pm. There’s over 100k tweets. No details. Someone tweeted Steelers so bad today it killed Arnold Palmer.
RIP. One of the great all time athletes.
Bears suck
Sadly, this is true. I expect the Cowgirls to move the ball on O. But, Chicago should be able to move the ball just as easily on their sorry D.
That was PI. Glad it didn’t get called, but it was PI.
If what happened to Agholor last week vs. the Bears wasn’t PI…………..NOTHING is PI.
That was a ridiculously bad no call.
And that nonsense they called on Mills tonight was also BS.
Bailey is so fucking money
automatic
Zeke was looking sharp that drive; almost Smallwood quality.
Almost.
Keep in mind the quality of competition 😛
Feeling pretty good about the Brandon Graham contract…
Amazing what being away from the bad coaching of Sean McDermott and the bad scheme of Billy Davis will do for a guy’s production.
True, though I’ve noticed those elements haven’t helped my own production.
Don’t forget Juan and Jim Washburn.
Sean McDermott is a good coach.
http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/175275-eagles-fire-defensive-coordinator-sean-mcdermott
FLAT OUT SUCKED. Worst red zone D in the NFL in 30 years+
If you’re the Steelers, you’re just happy you got through the game without losing your QB.
Can’t believe they left him (and others) in to the end… Not too smart, IMO
bears are so terrible
I spent all of this week saying they weren’t as bad as people thought, but yeah… they are not good.
We softened them up too much
Actually, it does seem that the Eagles are sending an awful lot of opponents to the locker room / hospital / DL.
That’s two QB’s down and one whose confidence was shattered.
It’s probably been used but I think the defense should be called The Wrecking Crew.
truth
Fuck Dallas
Chicago has already given up on the season it appears.
So no concussion protocol for Beasley?
I thought it was pretty clear he just got the wind knocked out of him. Not a head injury.
Great Win!! Yes they are Legit BUT no Lane Johnson for 10 weeks is gonna hurt real bad. Barbre is not the answer.
Hopefully Dougie is smart enough to gameplan around it… And i think he is.
Dougie has been exceeding my expectations so far. Good play calling, nice pass-run balance and great clock management, things that Andy never had. Wonder where he picked that up from?
Barbre playing well in his current position
Yes I’ve been pleasantly surprised, Barbre has been above average there. I hate to move him to another position.
Could certainly throw a wrench in the gears.
Lane has been playing at a Pro Bowl level these first 3 games, whoever takes over its gonna be a major drop off in production
I think we put Tobin there at RT. Barbre has been playing well at LG.
Tobin can’t play right side. Don’t know why, but he just looks lost on that side.
You can’t take the hot guy out of his position either.
Yes, Barbre is really playing well at LG. Asking someone to go from left to right/vice versa and play a different position is a major task. I’m not sure about Tobin but I dont want to move Barbre, he’s been above average at LG
That old guy on the sideline took a big hit.
got jumpkicked.
Kinda looked offended about it too…
His name is Tony, A_T_G.
Hoyer = Hoying
I like the fact that the entire NFL Network broadcasting crew all picked Pitt to win this game.
Nowhere in my wildest dreams did I think we would win so dominantly.
Big Ben actually looked like a frazzled QB who couldn’t do much against our stifling defense.
I can’t remember the last time I saw Big Ben rattled, but that’s the only description I can come up with as to why he overthrew his receivers over and over.
Great win for the Eagles and Pederson and the rest of the coaching staff.
Oh and a special shout out to coach Schwartz for once again out scheming the opponent and putting them on their heels for most of this contest.
What a great time it is for being an Eagles fan.
The last time Big Ben looked this rattled he’s just been hit with a paternity suit.
You know who else also really benefitted from this game – guys selling bootleg Wentz jerseys. My cousin saw a bunch of guys hawking them especially after the game along with silkscreen Wentz tshirts.
Wentz holds record to start career at 102 attempts without int. Prescott now has 90 attempts without an interception through 2 1/2 games.
Brady was 160 something to start the career — he just wasn’t technically a rookie.
Thanks, I edited my comment. 162 is the record to start career according to NBC telecast. . Brady had 3 pass attempts as a rookie according to NFL.COM.
Prescott also hasnt thrown a TD yet, incredibly.
Two longish passes tonight marked down at the 1 yard line. And he just completed a very nice intermediate pass with lot of YAC.. it’s just there was also many YAF (yard after fumble)
So if I’m Howie Roseman, and when Jim Schwartz inevitably looks for another head coaching job, I would pay him whatever he wants. I hope he’s not a one year wonder.
There is no salary cap for coaches.
LOL. Fumble!
So, if we have a big lead and Carson takes a knee… is that OK? Afterall, today was a statement game…
Mr. Automatic misses FG…probably won’t matter.
C’mon Bears!! You got this!!! #comebacktime
It does not appear that they’ve got this
It was all a dream. SMH.
A punt from the Dallas 40? John Fox you deserve that forced retirement coming at the end of this season. Enjoy.
pathetic
Sproles passes Herschel Walker and is now 10th all-time in all-purpose yards. Will likely pass Barry Sanders, LaDanian Tomlinson and Steve Smith to get to #7 before a few more games. Climbing higher will be harder after that.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000709614/article/wentz-outplays-roethlisberger-in-eagles-blowout
Prescott 1st career TD pass. He now has 99 attempts in his career without interception and Wentz has 102 .
Here are all of Wentz’s throws today. Some good throws, some dangerous ones, and a couple drops. Still a rookie, just a really good one.
http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/videos/videos/Highlight-Every-Carson-Wentz-Throw-From-Week-3/3447e2f8-10f3-443d-93a4-2d94e4ceb00c
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCHO
I’m not buying the Cowboys or Dak’s hype. They beat two crappy teams and lost to a third all by a relatively narrow margin. On the other hand, the Eagles have beat three teams with two being crappy and one being a possible title contender (as of now in the season). On top of that the point differential is best in the league, I’m gonna go ahead and say the Eagles are the best in the division.
Will we be facing Romo or Dak when we face off Oct. 30th?
Lol BOTH. You know the drill.
I was at the game. Can confirm, we won.
Seriously though, it was loud in Philly today. I’ve never seen a better game. I will sleep well tonight… eventually.
Teams will dread going to Philly if the team and fans stay this ferocious
I was there as well. What. A. Night. (Now I need to watch recording because I was so drunk haha. )
The Eagles’ 21-point 3rd quarter was the most points scored in a quarter by any team this week, pending tomorrow’s game.
Offense: 92 points
Defense: 27 points
Both are best in the NFL through 3 weeks.
I want the Cowboys. I can’t wait till we get to rip them a new one.
Yeah….they think they’re really good. I don’t.
Bridgewater butterfly effect
What are the odds that the Vikings (home vs Giants and Texans; bye) and Eagles can both win their next 2 games and both head into the 10/23 matchup at 5-0 at the Linc?
Even after the Bradford trade, I wasn’t terribly interested in that game but it is becoming increasingly more interesting especially given their records and how well Bradford and Wentz are doing.
Can that game possibly get shifted back to 8:30 by NBC?
I don’t think they do flex scheduling that early in the year
Yes. NBC can flex two games between week 5 and week 10.
But they have Seahawks v cards which should be a good game.
And they have Eagles @ Dallas the following week.
Not that I’m too big on Banner’s personnel evaluations…
On the other hand, Cleveland would have ruined Wentz and they’d be back looking for a QB in 2-3 years.
Headline on CBS Sports:
“Dak step ahead in Year of Rookie QB”
“Prescott throws his first TD pass in the Cowboys’ 31-17 win over the Bears on Sunday Night Football.”
Dear CBS:
Dak is quite a bit behind in the Year of the Rookie QB.
-signed,
Everyone who has seen Carson Wentz play or even looked at a stat sheet from the past 3 weeks
It really says that?
yup. I would have taken a screenshot if I knew how to post images here.
My favorite is the claim about Dak stepping ahead (presumably as best rookie), followed by the reasoning that he just threw his first touchdown pass tonight. 3 games in. During which Wentz has been tossing TDs around like candy.
Holy shit they admit in the article how well Dak played against the Bears and then in the next paragraph the author discounts Wnetzs first two games that were against the Browns and Bears. It’s looney toons.
Getting views is all he is about.
I don’t think anyone told Bayless that he doesn’t get money for “page hits” on Twitter.
LOL. Dude has 0 credibility and counting..
