  • Frencheaglesfan

Every victory in Paris is celebrated on the Champs Elysées. This is my Broadway walk. It’ s 4:30 am. I ´m the only one and the happiest french tonight. Go birds. Congrats to everyone.

    • FrenchEagles

Man, you are not the only French happy tonight, we were 30 (at least) in the bar where I watched the game in Paris chanting the Eagles chant at the end of the game. That was crazy. Fans from everywhere are xelebrceleb today!!!

  • shah8

I’ve not really changed my opinion on Foles, but I sure have changed my opinion of Pederson.

    • shah8

      The Student outdoes the Teacher.

      • shah8

Of course, it helped that he ran the fucking ball.

    • lewis don

      Foles is God

    Holy shit.

  • DarthBanner

    Is this even real!

  • shah8

So what is Geagle up to, these days?

  • D3FB

Who knew that Kempski shaming Ertz about YAC would literally be the difference in the superbowl?

  • Techtriumph

The Eagles won the Super Bowl! They will host the Thursday night opener! AND THE DRAFT 32 IN DALLAS!

  • xeynon

I still can’t believe this is real.

    WE WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!

Also, don’t switch to “This Is Us”. Who gives a $#%& about that?

    • Masked Man

It’s REAL Bro. Super Bowl Champions!

Been great hanging out with you guys on IB as well. You guys talk football all day long. Smart guys, smart posters.

Now your Philly Eagles are the Champs!

  • D3FB

So is the statue just gonna be nicks big dick and dougs big balls?

I can’t think of anything more fitting

    • scratcherk

i have something they could mold. for a price…

  • Sam Morey

Thank you Tommy for your dedication and your commitment to sharing your expertise.

You even predicted a ton Brady turnover on the final drive. I am floored.

Congrats, I know you’re as happy as any of us. Enjoy the Funyuns.

    • Crus57

      PBR is on us!

  • Ark87

Yay Detroit fans, your coach just let Nick Foles hang 41 points on him. Enjoy your next couple of seasons. (I’m sorry, I’m still learning joy, my only emotion is pain, If it isn’t mine, it has to be someone elses!)

  • Corry

Super Bowl Champs. SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!!!!

  • T_S_O_P

Amazing. On the drive home, I spotted a Cowboy fan, giving me my first cause to share our glory.

  • Ankerstjernen

To everybody here from Denmark, congratulations and all the best. What a run, what a year. And take care 😉

  • anon

So Josh Norman is doing broadcasting on the british feed – he’s terrible. Talking about Alshon’s 1 year deal

  • dandynator

doug to legendary status after that game. that 4th and 1 was …

  • Suresh Ravindran

    Gents,

Been an Eagles Fan for the past 18 years, lived in Philly for 10..watching from India now..couldn’t make it to Philly for the SuperBowl!! What a game by St. Nick and Big Balls Doug!!!

SuperBowl, Baby!! Never thought it would happen in my lifetime. The last time I was in Philly when they lost to the Cheatriots.

  • xeynon

We knew this championship wasn’t coming easy. Nothing ever does in Philadelphia.

Winning it against arguably the best QB ever, and the best coach ever, after our franchise QB got hurt and people gave up hope, with a backup who we gave up on three years ago and who looked very shaky after coming off the bench.. it had to be this way.

Winning a snoozer against the Jaguars wouldn’t have been the same. This is amazing.

    • shah8

Jacksonville would have been the champs if they had Foles.

      • shah8

Reflecting…It is truly amazing just how much Jacksonville wasted their great defense on Blake freakin’ Bortles, even after they knew very well what he was. Any sort of remotely competent QBing, and they beat everyone up.

        • unhinged

Their whole offense is smash-mouth, and NE shut that down, and there was no plan B. Bortles gets too much of the blame imo. He’ll probably be gone next season, but whoever replaces him needs to get some creative play calling behind him.

      • xeynon

Agreed. Having a coach like Pederson who knows how to coax elite performances out of a physically limited QB would help them too though.

      • anon

We thought Foles was Bortles a month ago

    • Masked Man

Great win! Poetic Justice against the Patriots!

Nicky and Dougie got it done!

  • Gary Barnes

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Ark87

I just cannot believe this, the defense absolutely evaporated in the face of Tom Brady, and Nick Fing Foles went punch for punch with him in a slug fest and won. What is even going on!?

    • Insomniac

An underdog story that no one believed.

      • Ark87

Ha, I believed, I just thought the defense was going to punch Brady in the mouth for us haha! They came through and made 1 play and that’s all Nick needed!

      • anon

You know jeff is in the movie biz, maybe instead of a huge deal we get the “nick foles” story

    • Corry

Being Super Bowl champs is what’s goin’ on!!!

    • RobNE

Exactly. The Pats couldn’t be stopped. Everyone was college open. And so we just outscored them.

    • anon

Pats were never in must throw situations until the end and as soon as they were in that situation rush got home

  • Tumtum

It was Kevin Hart trying to get on the podium!!!!!

  • Gary Barnes

In my neighborhood bar here in grays ferry, love is in the air and everyone wears green. See all at the parade!!!

  • wee2424

    Holy shit.

  • Gary Barnes

    Love Kelce!!

  • Tom Everett

The inside of my brain feels like The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again at 7.43: https://youtu.be/SHhrZgojY1Q?t=463

I’ve watched a lot of Eagles games from the UK, often staying up stupidly late to do so. I’ve seen the Playoff loss to New Orleans at 2am, I’ve seen McNabb go down on the Interception against the Cowboys on Monday night, I’ve seen the 2004 Superbowl. I’ve sometimes wondered why I bother.

    My god this feels good.

    • Crus57

watching from the UK myself, nothing is happening for the rest of today except partying and sleeping!

  • SteveH

Brandon Graham ruined the script. Brady, final minutes, TD to win, AND BRANDON GRAHAM FUCKED THE PATRIOTS, FUCK YOU BRADY!!!!

  • Ark87

God I hope Brady starts getting old now. The dude is just way too good. It’s not fair.

    • RobNE

I think one more good year then that’s it.

  • Eagles4life

BG SACK fumble was the turning play of the game!

  • Ark87

Love that the NFL is a copy cat league and now everyone is going to be rushing to pay stupid money to have their own quality backup QB

    • Bert’s Bells

WASH is tagging Cousins so they’re ahead of the curve.

  • D3FB

I thought the youngin was throwing double birds and I was going to have to get that picture tattoooed on my back

    • That would have been awesome. On a side note and not that anybody cares, we won that flag football championship on a goal line stand a la Eagles vs Falcons… Winning by 6, one of our defensive backs made back to back pass interference in goal line and we held them to no yards from the one on 3 consecutive plays (game ended with a pass knockdown with no seconds on the clock after a 4 year drought of no championships…the last time we won was back in 2013 (and we lost 2 other championships in the process).

As Jim Harbaugh said, (or someone else did) ‘there’s nothing like shared success’ and this applies to not only the Eagles per se… But Paul Domowitch getting DAWK in the hall, Tommy writing every week since I ever know… ACVIKING getting through history, D3FB guiding us with his game knowledge, ATG making me laugh, Xenyon with his great writing and anyone else I missed out I’m sorry but we all deserve this! World champions. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES

  • sonofdman

    Adorable!

  • Benny6968

    FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY
    FLY EAGLES FLY
    THROW A TOUCHDOWN 1,2,3
HIT HIM LOW, HIT HIM HIGH
    AND WATCH OUR EAGLES FLY
    FLY EAGLES FLY
    ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY

    E !!! A !!! G !!! L !!! E !!! S !!!
    EAGLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Patrick

I cant fucking believe this. WORLD FUCKING CHAMPS!

  • ACViking

    Foles …

    4 playoff games …

All 4 games with a 100+ QB rating.

Career Playoff QB Rating: 113.17 … WOW.

    • Bert’s Bells

      Fuck Edeleman. Nick Playoffs.

    • Ark87

ACViking, you’ve plodded through the whole drought, absorbing every detail along the way, how do you feel man!?

      • ACViking

        Jeez …
Not to sound too maudlin …
But I cried (more than) a few tears and thanked God I saw it

        • Ark87

Well, I have a feeling we’ll all be having that ACViking type memory of every detail of this one to carry with us forever. What a ride man, so glad to have had you along the way, getting us through some pretty rough times.

Go Eagles, Dallas sucks, the other fans can’t beat us to death with the empty trophy case anymore!

          • ACViking

            A87 —

Now you’ve got me all reflective …

Thinking now about my father taking me to Franklin Field.

Remembering him — and the friends who’ve passed — and the players …

That’s what the emotions are all about.

          • Flyin

I was 8 for the Plunkett/Jaws game. Intellivision was the halftime entertainment at the house. Started to go to games during the Reggie White/Cunningham days at the Vet. Today is so special!!!

        • Tom33

I told my son, who is 9, to enjoy this moment. Just playing in the SB is rare (3rd time in my lifetime) and winning? Who the F knows how often that can happen?

      • D3FB

Leave him be he’s gotta go into town and lay it all on green at the roulette wheel

    • Masked Man

He’s never been more valuable. Howie might deal him you know.

If his dream is to start, he can have that elsewhere.

      • Benny6968

        Nick should stay here.
He knows there is a certain chemistry between him and our coaches and nobody else could get that kind of production out of him.
However, if some crazy team like Minnesota gets desperate and throws us a 1st rounder, you never know.
Lightning can strike twice but short of that I say keep him.
Knowing the type of guy Foles is, you would think that he wants to be an Eagle for life and he deserves that honor after this amazing run.

      • anon

Look at Pats – the ocs / dcs players stayed around bc they had something good going on. hope nick feels the same way.

  • RobNE

So glad I came down. Waited my whole life. They outscored the Pats in the SB. My 6 hour drive back tomorrow will be so easy. The pass to Foles was such a F U to the Pats on 4th down. It was a two hand middle finger salute.

    • xeynon

Converting the 4th and 1 on their own 45 with 5 minutes to go was almost as big.

      Pederson is the fucking man.

  • sonofdman

Time to go make a Super Bowl Baby!

  • scratcherk

I cant believe wewon guys. I made friends with strangers at a bar in a strange city. We were all flipping out. What a nght. I cant beilve it.

  • SteveH

I may or may not have been screaming at the television “FINISH THEM!!!! FUCKING FINISH THEM!!!!” After the Graham strip sack.

  • xeynon

I have a friend who’s a Patriots fan and posted on Facebook about how the refs cost the Patriots the game.

    My reply:

“I don’t usually get to say this as an Eagles fan, but YOUR TEARS ARE DELICIOUS!!!! GISELLE’S TEARS ARE DELICIOUS!!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

Then I reminded her of the Tuck Rule game, the game they won against the Steelers this year because of the overturned TD catch, etc.

    • RobNE

      Which call? That’s crazy.

      • xeynon

The Clement TD. She conceded that the Ertz TD was legit.

        • SteveH

Whatever, we would have converted on 4th down even if it was incomplete.

          Also it was a catch.

        • Mac

Man, even my 4 yr old counted 3 steps. Comon’ man!!! Lol

      • Tom33

I actually agreed with the announcers that the Clement TD was not a catch in today’s nfl. F them. It didn’t matter.

        • RC5000

What announcers that dumbass Eagles hater Chris Collinsworth ? Clement had control and took a step.

          • KillaKadafi

            Collingsworth is a joke.

        • watch again…
2 steps, then the 3rd with the foot on the white
so the ball transfer after the completion, and controlled the ball thru the entire play
from what the rulebook states, that’s a catch
          NY review agreed

      • Hanibal Luis

Probably the Clement & Ertz TDs. Eff um. Jesse James & Jalen Ramsey give them the finger.

    • D3FB

That’s some legit ass Meth shit

    • ChoTime

The refs did cost the Patriots the game. They didn’t get the usual backbreaking calls go in their favor, and it feels weird to them!

      • Masked Man

That was pass interference against Corey Clement on the end zone pass too. Don’t want to hear refs. Relatively clean game.

      • Mac

They got some presents, but it wasn’t enough.

    • mtn_green

Pats got tons of help from refs. Watch the failed two point conversion, db with back to throw mauled receiver no call.

  • Insomniac

We let Dawkins down in 04. We didn’t let JP down in 18. Get that HoF jacket to accompany your ring JP.

  • ChoTime

I thought they could do it. I didn’t think they could do it like that. What a crazy game!

  • Masked Man

    Mychal Kendricks said:

“That’s how you want to win. Against the best!”

  • Mac

I don’t just love this team. I am loving these players and coaches. Unbelievable.

  • ACViking

    F–king Brady …

The guy just won’t say the Eagles beat us.

It’s all, “oh, we did this and we did that and we lost the game” … not Eagles won.

    Bull Sh–t

    • Corry

He did say “they played the better game and deserved to win” but regardless, yes, Fuck Brady.

    • Mac

He can’t throw the ball AND catch it 😉

      • sonofdman

LOL. Well, we know he can’t catch it.

        • Mac

The world now has video evidence!

    • Insomniac

I would love to see the supposed Belichick – Brady divorce soon.

      • Bert’s Bells

It is going to be ugly.

      • unhinged

TB may have had his last hurrah. A loss like that makes Giselle louder and makes Tom grumpy, but it’s a young man’s game. I would not be shocked if he throws in the towel.

    • Flyin

That makes the win that much better. Beating the goat of this and that. Haha… we won!!! Love that Tom is showing his true colors like his coach.

    • DarthBanner

Fuck that arrogant twat burger. Suck it Brady!

    • mtn_green

Even my wife sees that guy and thinks ….evil douche

  • Masked Man

    Brian Dawkins said:

“All this stuff happening all at the same time this weekend… I couldn’t have written a book and written it better than that!”

    • Flyin

Awesome for Dawk and Incredible for the Eagles!!!

  • slackerjoe

    We did it!

  • Koy: The Legend of Neckbeard

    Nuts.

  • RC5000

Talk about spreading it around and everyone contributing! 7 guys, 49 yards plus.

    Philadelphia Rushing
    CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
    LeGarrette Blount 14 90 6.4 1 36
    Jay Ajayi 9 57 6.3 0 26

REC YDS AVG TD LONG TGTS
    Corey Clement 4 100 25.0 1 55 5
    Nelson Agholor 9 84 9.3 0 24 11
    Alshon Jeffery 3 73 24.3 1 34 8

    Torrey Smith 5 49 9.8 0 17 9

    • Ryan Rambo

“We all we got, we all we need!”

  • mtn_green

    Awesome.

  • Ryan Rambo

    Eat a d*ck Drew Pearson!!!

  • Masked Man

    Governor Ed Rendell said:

“Can you imagine a Super Bowl where the losing team didn’t punt the ball? The Patriots never even punted the ball.”

  • Masked Man

    Seth Joyner said:

“Now New England gets to spend the off season in the Pit of Misery!”

  • RC5000

    Nick on espn on set.

  • scratcherk

Someone here called that CLement would have a huge game. Hats off.

    • dandynator

yea heard Ladanian tomlinson say that too 2-3 days ago

  • dandynator

can u believe the eagles scored 41 points ! what ?

    • xeynon

I can. Doug Pederson is a pretty fucking good coach.

      • Masked Man

Doug just beat the best in the world.

Is this the passing of the torch?

        • dandynator

          it is bro

        • Insomniac

Is it really passing the torch if you snatch it away from him?

        • xeynon

Belichick is what, a top 5 coach in NFL history?

Doug didn’t outcoach him per se, but he stood toe to toe with him. As grumpy as BB is I’m sure he respects the hell out of Doug after that game.

          • A_T_G

I don’t know. Running the same trick play he did, but with better disguise, better situation, and better execution might be outcoaching him.

  • Crus57

love that Jay Ajayi calls his mum “momma train”

    • Masked Man

And that would make him the Baby Train! Haha!

  • ACViking

    So —

    Carson Wentz … the O-line … Agholor / Ertz / Jeffrey … Ajayi / Clement

    Fletcher Cox … Graham / Jernigan / Barnett … LBs … Jenkins

    This team isn’t going anywhere.

In fact, I’ll be disappointed if they don’t get homefield advantage again in 2018

    • kajomo

Just enjoy the moment. We have a long offseason to worry about next year

      • ACViking

        Loving the moment …

        This is me gloating.

        • Mitchell

Gloat away you beautiful Viking, you.

          • kajomo

            Skol

    • RobNE

I’ve already agreed to come back to the same bar next year to watch us smack around a new AFC contender

  • A_T_G

I had to drive home from my parents’ after the game. Does anyone know, is Collinsworth still explaining how marvelous the NE comeback is going to be?

    • Crus57

think he’s still explaining how none of our TDs are TDs

    • Flyin

Complete douche bag. I hope he never does another game again.

      • A_T_G

Under two minutes, game on the line, a commentators statement should never start, “I remember this one game, I don’t even know what year it was…”

        • Flyin

The Eagles are going for it on 4th down and he says it’s better to give the ball back to the Patriots so the Eagles have time to score. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • sonofdman

That was the dumbest thing I ever heard.

  • Mitchell

I love that I will only be starting watching college players in February!!!!

  • RC5000

Nick shout out to CW! Classy – not surprising though.

  • Nailed It!

    I’m still crying

    • Benny6968

      Me too…Just wow and unbelievable.
Burton to Foles….What a play call and what a coach.
I will see ALL of you at the parade !!!
A HUGE shout out to Malcolm “The HITMAN” Jenkins for making that bone jarring hit on Cooks.
He has joined the ranks as one of the hardest hitting Eagles safeties to ever play the game.
Just so many great memories to take away from this amazing game.
I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
Nick “Miracle Man” Foles has shown all of us the power of his intense faith.
To beat Belli’s Pats and join the ranks of Superbowl Champions with our back up QB is a real Cinderella story and so dramatic that a movie could be made about this team.
IMO it would be a box office smash.
Just flabbergasted and I feel that the universe is now balanced and everything everywhere is where it should be.
God Bless America and our WORLD Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Bert’s Bells

Hey, I just learned that Blount is Sun Ra’s nephew. That’s EVEN MORE AWESOME!

    • or____

      Wait, seriously ?

      • Bert’s Bells

        Yup.

  • RC5000

Nick said his last td catch was when he played TE in high school.

    • Masked Man

Nicky showed nice form on the catch. Better than Tom’s.

Tommy is no athlete. Great QB. Not a great athlete.

  • scratcherk

My wife left with my daughter at the start of the 4th to put her to bed… i regret i didnt see it with her…

    • A_T_G

      Next year.

  • ACViking

    1. Nick Foles left the field in the 4th Q with the lead.

    2. Can’t find anyone anywhere saying, “Aw, we should’ve drafted Earl Thomas.”

  • RC5000

    Blount on set on ESPN.

  • ACViking

A player who’s twice as good as 5 months ago?

Nelson Agholor — Eagles don’t win the SB without him

    • Insomniac

      Corey Clement.
      Big V

      • xeynon

It annoyed me that Collinsworth kept fluffing Harrison and implying that it was only a matter of time until he exploited the “mismatch” with Big V when he’d basically done nothing in the pass rush all game and Big V was mostly stoning him.

        • Insomniac

          He’s the new Joe Buck

        • sonofdman

Collingsworth was flat out cheering for the Patriots. That was an embarrassment.

          • A_T_G

            He was SO bad.

          • Mac

I feel weird saying this… But I wish we had Romo.

          • A_T_G

By the fourth quarter, I might have taken Aikman.

          • Philadelphian

Not to mention, blind. It didn’t take an expert to see that Clement didn’t bobble the ball until his 3rd step and Ertz took a few steps and broke the plane of the end zone before losing the ball.

        • mtn_green

Collins’s worth was so awful he will never do another SB. Those were obviously td. There were many patriots penalties that weren’t mentioned by him

    • RC5000

      He’s capable of more too.

    • Eagles4life

      The whole offense came through

    • A_T_G

And he got an IV for flu symptoms Friday or yesterday. Glad he recovered.

    • Masked Man

Nelson had 9 catches for 84 yards in the Super Bowl!

Chipped in a rush for 9 yards too. Think it moved the sticks.

      • Philadelphian

Yes, Bust #2 led the team in receptions and Bust #1 caused the strip sack of his life.

        • Benny6968

I see what you did there. Touche.
          BG and NA thank you.

  • Eagles4life

We need some serious soul searching at the CB position!

    • Bert’s Bells

      True Eagles fan!

    • RC5000

Plenty of time to worry about that though. Enjoy! And we may not have gotten here with lesser guys!

    • Rob Jarratt

You have to be shitting me. Go to bed.

    • xeynon

Jesus Christ man, we just won the Super Bowl.

There will be plenty of time for worrying about the weaknesses on the roster later. Enjoy this for awhile.

      • Eagles4life

I am enjoying for sure but there were too many heart attack moments in the game. Been an Eagles fan for 17 years and this team has this IT factor I had never seen before. I even posted that we will win this game !

        • xeynon

There are always going to be heart attack moments when you’re going up a great player like Brady and a great coach like Belichick. The other guys get paid too.

    • Masked Man

That was Tom Brady big guy. He’s gotten the best of most of them.

  • Ark87

The NFL season is over. I’ve never seen the entire NFL season end on an Eagles win…you mean we don’t play football next week? Welp, 24 hours then start working on getting one for Wentz.

    • RC5000

We play 1st game next year! When is that? lol.

  • ChoTime

So, I’m kind of wondering how this game would have been different if we had a crap offense instead of one of the very best in the league.

    EDIT: I meant defense.

    • Insomniac

      38-7

    • Masked Man

Doug is innovative, isn’t he? Made it work with Nicky Foles.

Flexible game plans. Flexible offensive styles.

  • jaws80

i think i am starting to like this team.

    • Masked Man

      They’re growing on me.

    • xeynon

My favorite Philly team ever, in any sport.

The 2008 Phillies were very likable, as were the ’93 Phillies, 2001 Sixers, and 2010 Flyers, among others.

But none of them had the combination of overcoming adversity AND winning that this team did.

      • RC5000

Sixers 1983 is easily right there for me. That was one of the best NBA teams ever imo.

        • xeynon

I was only 3 years old at the time so I don’t remember them.

          • RC5000

I figured. You missed an incredible team to watch and they dominated. Doc, Moses, Mo Cheeks, The Boston Strangler, Bobby Jones. SO FUN . It was a glorious team.

      • daveH

Put em next to those Sixers !!

      • 74,75 flyers were awesome

    • Insomniac

Waiting for Saric to come over.

    • Bert’s Bells

      I need to see more.

  • Eagles4life

Does this win start our dynasty and end cheatriots’?

    • Mac

I was calling it a week ago.

  • P_P_K

    Euphoria!

  • Mac

Super close game… But if Alshon catches that ball on the sideline instead of popping it up and the Eagles get the TD… It could have been a blowout. (Not sour grapes btw just a random thought)

    • xeynon

Was never gonna be a blowout. The Patriots are too good to get blown out.

      • Mac

That D was looking pretty broken, and the int seemed to lift them a bit… Might be wrong but it’s what it looked like from my living room…lol

        • xeynon

Their defense sucked, but Brady would’ve scored as many points as he needed to keep the game close. They would not have rolled over on offense and let things get away from them the way the Vikings did.

    • Bert’s Bells

Or if it just bounces out of bounds…

    • Ark87

yeah, a missed XP and 2 pt, the was definitely enough wiggle room that I won’t be waking up in the middle of the night where I feel like it shouldn’t have happened or almost didn’t. Maybe the offense doesn’t show up like it did in most games, but maybe the defense shows up. I feel good about this one.

    • daveH

Well the debates on those 2 clear catches was driving us nuts

  • Ryan Rambo

And with the 32nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select……….
    (How’s that sound fellaz!??)

    • D3FB

……”Kiss our ass from Fuck Jerry Jones University

  • Corry

I’m worried I’m going to wake up and discover this was a dream. I’m still shocked and in utter disbelief THAT THIS TEAM HAS WON THE SUPER BOWL AND NICK FOLES IS THE MVP OF THE GAME!!!!

    • Insomniac

It’s real man. It’s for fucking real, no more nightmares.

      • Flyin

Have you verified this with all parallel universes?

        • Insomniac

Yes and if they don’t like it, we don’t care.

    • A_T_G

Sitting and watching, I think Foles’ daughter was on the field before I accepted that it wasn’t going to be stolen from us somehow.

  • nicolajNN

From the top of the roster to the very bottom, from coaches to the front office this was clearly the best team in the NFL this year, so deserved!

I’m so happy, and tired, don’t think I’ve stopped smiling for the past hour and a half

    • daveH

Was worrying well into the confetti

  • ACViking

Kevin Hart on NFL Network …

Wow, he’s great — incredibly drunk / by his own admission.
    Awesome

    • daveH

      F bomb

  • Dave Alcock

Might actually see some Philly gear in Australia from now on, instead of just Patriots, Packers, Cowboys and Raiders! Super bowl champions has a nice ring to it!

  • kajomo

That Jason Kelce interview was incredible.

    • SteveH

Fuck yeah it was, the Kelce and Dawkins interviews were both legendary, but Kelce in particular was a maniac.

  • Henly125

    We did it!

    We’re the Champions!!

  • Mac

Did they even have a wing bowl or puppy bowl this year?! Hahahaha hahahaha I have no idea!

    • Flyin

      Puppy bowl was Patriots.

    • Bert’s Bells

A friend of mine works the Puppy Bowl. She got to hold a sloth this year.

  • Ryan Rambo

We used Clement A LOT like the Jags did their own Corey Grant. I love that guy!

Best team. Best fans. Best blog. Thanks, guys, for an awesome year!

    • A_T_G

      We all we need.

  • Corry

So, I just realized I called the skill position touch down pass earlier last week.

So, my next prediction is that this is the start of a dynasty.

  • Allen3000

Man, this is so surreal. I’m going to soak this one up for awhile. To quote the Dead, what a long, strange trip it’s been. I’ve experienced some setbacks as of late, but this is something to keep me smiling for quite some time. A special shout out to Tommy who is bar none, the best Eagles writer around. Congrats to all my fellow IB posters. Salute! We all deserve this moment!

  • Eagles4life

Almost perfect game called by Doug… and hats off to everyone on offense who executed flawlessly… defense made play when it mattered the most!
This team is going to be contender for a LONG time as we have pretty good core of players

  • Ryan Rambo

It’s been an awesome ride with all you fellow Eagle fans! I couldn’t even imagine rooting for any other team with any other group of people. Enjoy every second of this feeling! What a day!! I feel like I played!! Love all you Eagle brothers and sisters!!

  • greenblood0118

FLY EAGLES FLY!!! Doug “Big Balls” Pederson, OMG that trick play TD pass to Foles made my cream my pants!!!!

  • RC5000

That route Zach ran was so wicked. Just obliterated McCourty’s face.

    https://youtu.be/zEFrbX_Tpas?t=2m26s

    • A_T_G

Yeah, but were the three steps, change of direction, and dive into the end zone all “in the process of making the catch?” Cris isn’t sure.

      • JJ_Cake

Cris is a fuktard and has always been an Eagles hater

      • Tumtum

Could of been worse.. could of been Buck and Troy.

      • Corry

I’m sorry Chris’s favorite team didn’t win tonight (they drove me nuts all night).

        • Eagles4life

Chris should be stripped off calling SB for the rest of his life

      • Masked Man

It was obviously a catch followed by a football move that broke the plane for a TD. Then the ball hit the ground.

  • P_P_K

    Beautiful!

  • JJ_Cake

So proud and happy for this Eagles team. Glad Nick got this shot to prove himself worthy. Congratulations to Philadelphia! Now we can tell the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins to STFU! Hope we can keep both Nick and Carson. Love this TEAM!

The parade will be on Tuesday?

    • A_T_G

Will they be able to clear the crowds from the streets by then?

          • A_T_G

            Pssh, Chip. F him.

  • Masked Man

Ray Didinger said he woke up at home yesterday morning and an Eagle was sitting on top of his garage. How about that?

  • Philadelphian

I have a feeling that I’m not going out on a limb by saying this has to be the first Super Bowl when the losing team did not punt at least once.

Fantastic Super Bowl! Probably, the most exciting and competitive Super Bowl in history and the winning team is the Philadelphia Eagles!!

    • A_T_G

Ed Randell said the same. Can’t see how it could be false.

    • Masked Man

Hey Philly! You hung in through a lot of noise from haters and naysayers this year Sir. You heard it all. Very few kept strong, kept heart…

      Congratulations Big Guy! Go EAGLES!

      • Philadelphian

You too, enjoy it for all its worth.

    • RC5000

Both teams combined – 1 punt by Donnie and no punt returns!

  • Flyin

I’ve been reading/following Tommy since the Eagles Message Board since 2003. He is by far the most knowledgeable writer for the Eagles hands down.

He has always had intelligent, loyal readers. I’m am so thankful for all the work Tommy has done and the community he has built.

This is a special night, and my emotions and gratitude go out to all that have been a part of my passion for the Eagles!

    Thank you!!!

  • D3FB

Howie playing the long game when he traded Rowe

    • xeynon

I don’t know what the hell Belichick was thinking benching Malcolm Butler for Rowe, but I’ll take it.

      • ACViking

        More to that story …

Do you believe Belichick when he suggests it was a football decision?

        • A_T_G

I think Butler said something about ceramic pjs and under armor gloves with extra recovery powers are bullshit.

        • D3FB

Butler apparently hasn’t been great all year, and I can see him justifying it as his great game winning wrinkle.

It’s not like he’s exactly known to be a great stickler for superior morals.

If it’s off field it feels like he was trying to fuck up Butlers payday.

I think he just played himself.

      • Ark87

wonder wtf that was about. Everybody know that secondary was suspect. But no one is bigger than the system, Patriot way, blah blah blah.

The patriot way cost them a superbowl, HAH

        • Benny6968

Nick dissected that defense at times but it was Dougs play calling that took this offense to another level.
He coached this team the way he has all year and the team responded with the biggest win in Eagles history.
I will never forget this day for rest of my life.

We are the Champions !!! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS !!!
No time for losing cause we are the Champions…of the WORLD !!!!

      • Corry

I can only guess it was a height thing? I mean that’s the only thing I can think of. Butler is 5’11 and Rowe is 6’1? I dunno I just don’t understand having all of your best players on the field especially after Rowe started getting abused.

    • A_T_G

Speaking of traded CBs, was it just me, or did the best game planners in the biz leave Mills alone and pick on Darby?

      • D3FB

Targets in the postseason coming in was: 23 Darby 7 Mills

        What a weird year man

      • Masked Man

I thought Brady got them both pretty good in the second half.

Very close game. Brady had almost no time left and the D line sold out to close it for the win.

  • jmh

Me: Is very strange. I have been an Eagles fan so long, now that they’ve won the Super Bowl, I don’t know what to do with the rest of my life.

Westley: Have you ever considered piracy? You’d make a wonderful Dread Pirate Roberts.

    • A_T_G

      Nice reference.

And I feel that way. It feels like I shouldn’t accept that it is okay to let down my guard. We won and no one is going to yank the Lombardi away like Lucy with the football.

      • Dude

The game was over for a full 4 seconds before I celebrated

    • Dude

Farm Boy, fetch me that Lombardi.

      As you wish, Megan Fox.

    • FairOaks

We need to win one with Wentz now.

  • Eagles4life
  • Corry

So we all saw this coming right? Nick Foles MVP. Corey Clement going for 100 yards RECEIVING and a TD. Doug Pederson, the least qualified coach in the history of the NFL according to Mike Lombardi, bringing home the Lombardi Trophy. We all saw this happening right?

  • Koy: The Legend of Neckbeard

Mike Lombardi will be out on the street soon.

    • Ark87

He actually did a very nice podcast about the Eagles tonight. Not even a hint of, well they got lucky hear and there or any of that. Was totally onboard with the “controversial” catches, he thought the Collinsworth was an idiot for thinking the Ertz TD should have been overturned in the slightest. Said the Doug and his staff were the best in the league. It was nice.

      • xeynon

Yeah, he’s come around, and he admitted that his “Pederson is the most unqualified coach ever” hot take was spectacularly wrong.

I’m ready to forgive him at this point.

        • ChoTime

First Kempski, now Lombardi are being brought into the fold.

  • Ark87

Tom Petty’s I won’t Back Down feels sounds great to the backdrop of this game.

Ain’t no easy way out. But holy hell, that offense didn’t back down. How many times would all the other teams have had their backs broken by the way Brady was playing. Rewatching that game in my head, you can almost place little mile markers where various other teams would have folded. Honest to god, the Eagles were the only team in the NFL that could have slain that dragon. That’s why they’re world champs.

    • Masked Man

      Excellent Choice, Ark!

  • Chris Lindeman

Let’s go out on a limb here. Let’s discuss the quarterback situation. The common thought here is what can we get for Foles? Or We need to keep Foles in case Carson isn’t ready come fall. So thinking outside that and being crazy, Foles is a Superbowl MVP. He just killed it. How much can we trade him for or is it how much can we trade Carson for?

Dare I say we keep out Superbowl MVP and trade Carson for 3 or 4 firsts?

    • FairOaks

You might dare, but you shouldn’t.

    • Flyin

Let that limb linger a little longer.

    • D3FB

      No
      No
      Fuck No
      No
      No

Foles has pretty minimal trade value. Couple day 3 picks, maybe a late 3 max. You don’t trade Wentz for anything in the world.

You do whatever Foles wants. If he wants to go get paid then thank you we’ll always love you, work with us to find a team. If he wants to stay, ok.

      • Insomniac

I would take Carson Wentz for Carson Wentz

      • Bert’s Bells

You know better than I do. But it seems like a guy in his prime with Nick’s playoff record is going to look like gold to more than one stupid GM.

        • Insomniac

          Jalen Ramsey for Foles!!

        • D3FB

I frankly don’t buy that anyone is going to say oh well he was awesome for two games so let’s make him the franchise. Especially when there are options on the market right now.

          • fran35

But here’s the thing–his performance these last few games was not an aberration. Is he as good as Wentz, hell no . Is he a starter in the NFL? I don’t see how folks can argue against it. His numbers for his career: 61 tds, 29 int . Breaks single game td passes record. Pro bowl starter .pro bowl mvp .super bowl starter, super bowl mvp. He had one year in St Louis where every QB on the team looked terrible . Then the head coach leaves and all three QBs are studs for their respective playoff teams .

I really don’t know when folks are going to stop trying to mitigate Foles successes. He makes big boy throws and reads .will he ever beat Wentz out? Nope. But the eagles could get a 2d rounder for him.

      • Masked Man

I think Nick is good for a 2nd rounder in trade. But I would not want to trade him unless he wants to go start somewhere.

He deserves to have some say and be well taken care of. He’s our Super Bowl Champion QB!

        • Dude

          Amen

        • Benny6968

I would demand a 1st or go scratch.
All Nick has done for Philly is balled out for more than half of his time here in Philly.
We have him locked into a good contract for holding a clipboard on the best team in the NFL.
Who could ask for anything more?

      • Dude

I rarely disagree with you, but 1 of 32 teams is going to offer something good for Foles. Howie has the luxury or waiting to see how Carson looks in April, June, September… and how the the rest of the roster shakes out, before he has to pull the trigger on a Foles deal.

As I see it, the moment Wentz is good to go, Craigslist will look like : FOR SALE- 1 QB, used, has Super Bowl MVP experience, 2nd rounder (the real value over salary round), OBO. Young talent also accepted.

        E: 1 of 31. Oops

        • D3FB

For Sale: Do you want to get fired? Are you willing to destroy your franchise giving up draft assets and an extension for a high variance QB? Have you been drinking? You know Joe Flacco won a SB MVP too right?

          • xeynon

Counterpoint: a team gave Flacco a massive QB deal for winning that MVP.

Quarterbacks are at a premium. A guy who’s proven he can play at an elite level in the playoffs given the right circumstances, which at this point Foles has, is going to have value.

          • D3FB

Foles has a larger body of work. This is recency bias. A month ago therre were legitimate questions on should the Eagles maybe move to Sudfeld if Foles struggled in the first half of the Falcons game. Two great games don’t erase that.

You can’t seriously tell me that if you were a another teams fan you would be jumping up and down screaming for the GM to trade a first and give Foles $100mil

          • Someguy77

No way. Only the loons thought starting Sudfeld or putting him in at half in a playoff game was a realistic solution.

          • xeynon

I don’t think the “they should go to Sudfeld” talk was as legitimate as you’re implying. Pederson looked at the reporter who asked that question like he had two heads. I think that was more a discussion among fans/media than something the coaches considered.

I agree that two great postseason games doesn’t make Foles an elite QB, but I think he’s shown throughout his career that when you put him in an offense that plays to his strengths and gives him playmakers, he can produce at a high level. That’s more than you can say for a lot of starting QBs in this league.

I also think there is a significantly higher number of dumb/desperate front offices and fan bases in the NFL than you seem to believe. We just saw the Redskins fork over one of their better young defenders and a 3rd round pick to make a lateral move to an older version of the same guy they already had at QB for chrissake.

          • D3FB

            So he’s Sam Bradford.

Alex Smith is a better QB than Nick Foles.

Foles almost quit football a year ago.

Look it’s been magical and amazing, but its a saturated market and I don’t buy that anyone is getting in a bidding war to make him their franchise.

          • xeynon

I think Bradford is a reasonable comp, but the Eagles got a first round pick for Bradford.

I also would take Alex Smith over Foles.

I’m not saying Foles SHOULD fetch a high price – as much success as he’s had, he’s shown that he’s a guy that needs the right support structure to succeed and is not a “carry the team” type of player the way Wentz can be. I agree with you that it’s crazy talk to entertain the idea of trading Wentz and riding with Foles. There is a big talent gap there. But given how desperate for good QB play this league is, I think Foles COULD fetch a high price.

          • Dude

It’s not a saturated market until there are 33 starter-level QBs evenly distributed across 32 NFL teams. Barring that, there are the haves and have-nots. And even the “haves” aren’t set in stone (Washington).

          • D3FB

There are an abundance of veteran options on the market. There is also the draft.

            Compare to normal years.

            Relatively saturated.

          • Dude

You’re 100% right, but it only takes one team. I could see Jacksonville grasping at that final piece (If Tom Coughlin feels pressure). Also the Browns now that Sashi Brown is gone. KC could put together a sweetheart Pederson/Daniel deal. Just saying, there are so many feasible outcomes that someone (Jets, NYG, Denver if they lose the Cousins raffle) will pay over market value for Foles. And Howie will let Pony Nick run free if Wentz is ready and Sudfeld/whoever looks competent… or some similar situation.

It sounds dumb to an analytical mind, but those are rare in the NFL. That’s why Doug’s 4th down policy is revolutionary rather than standard.

      • Chris Lindeman

What if Cleveland comes along and says we’ll give you our next 5 firsts or every pick we have in this draft? Got to admit, it’s food for thought. We do have a Superbowl MVP QB and 20 of 22 starters signed for next year…you can’t tell me it’s not worth pausing to think about.

        • D3FB

You tell Cleveland to go fuck themselves.

It’s actually not worth thinking about.

The argument is making is literally the one the Browns have made to justify passing on Wentz and Watson.

You have a young franchise QB who is going to be a top 5 QB for a decade. You don’t trade him because your backup just had two great playoff games.

Also the last 4 of those picks are going to be late first rounders.

          • ChoTime

Notice that Foles has performed as well as Wentz would have (most likely). Notice that the team kept winning even when Wentz went down.

It’s far from obvious Cleveland would be any improved with Wentz on their roster. They’re just a wreck, and no one player can solve that. A coach and GM with time and luck, maybe.

          • D3FB

You honest to god really want to argue that Foles is just as good as Wentz?

            Seriously?

I’m going to leave it there, let you reevaluate that statement in the cold light of day.

          • ChoTime

Read my post again, it’s only 11 PM here. I’m still coherent.

Are you implying that the Eagles would have hung more points on the Patriots and the Vikings with Wentz? I find that highly unlikely.

Wentz is a great player, but this is a team sport, and I would hope the playoffs would have just proved that to you. He would not be the savior in Cleveland, there’s more to the game than that.

          • Dude

In this game it would have come down to style points Re: Foles v Wentz. Hard to perform better than tonight.

      • xeynon

We can’t trade him against his will, even for a slightly higher pick – if we move him, it has to be to a team that he wants to go to. He just won us the Super Bowl.

        • Philadelphian

Agree, Foles at least deserves to be involved in any decision. However, if he believes he wants to be a starting QB again, he might have to be more flexible.

      • Sean E

Foles will have trade value. I think your Foles judgment is off.

    • Bert’s Bells

There will be at least two team to look at Foles’ playoff performances and say “he’s our guy”.

Last week I thought he’d max out at 3rd rounder, but now -he’s likely a 1st rounder plus.

    • ChoTime

Yeah, no. I’m a big Foles fan, but Wentz is probably a top 5 QB in the league for the next decade. As great as Foles has shown himself to be in the right situation, I’m just not buying him performing at a high level consistently. I would listen to offers for Foles, but keep him unless you get a very nice haul. Backup QBs have value in this league.

    • Masked Man

I think it’s up to Nick. He’s the only Eagles QB to win the Super Bowl. He is the Super Bowl MVP. He came through for us.

If I was Howie, I would not trade him against his will. That might be a bad look for the team.

But if Nick wants to start next year, it’s going to be hard to beat Carson out. Wentz is more talented.

If Nick wants to start and consents to a trade, he’s worth a lot in a trade right now. Howie can make that happen.

But if Nick wants to be an Eagle and be a reserve, he’s our hero forever anyway, and the city will love him forever. Depends on what he wants.

      Go Eagles!

      • Philadelphian

I think a lot depends on what offers come in and how confident the team is in Sudfeld.

    • sonofdman

      No. Stop.

    • Dragon_Eagle

      No. Stop.

Wait until March. I want to savor this.

  • Someguy77

My bold prediction: This is the last game that Brady and Belichick ever play.

    • Bert’s Bells

I think they both have too much hubris to hang it up after a L.

    • Dude

Not a chance. They’ll be back and as “evil empire” as ever.

    • ChoTime

Already have top odds to win next year’s Superbowl. Gee, thanks Vegas.

      • Corry

Underdog status hasn’t hurt us yet!

  • ACViking

Eagles defense allowed 613 yards — and won 42-34.

    – Most yards allowed by a Birds’ defense since 1966 …
Eagles allowed 652 yards to Dallas (56-7 loss).

    – Next most yards allowed was in 1983 …
Eagles allowed 522 yards to Dallas (37-7 loss).

    • Flyin

Love the the history you always present. When the Eagles are Super Bowl Champions makes it extra special!

    • Someguy77

Schwartz got lucky because the Pats had answers for everything he called and he just picked him apart in the 2nd half.

Pederson is the coach who came out of this season with a greatly enhanced rep.

    • Someguy77

It’s mind boggling even if you strip out the last play before half to Amendola and no Cooks most of the game.

  • nicolajNN

The fact that Donnie Jones had the only punt of the game speaks volumes about the team mentality, and why the Eagles were superior to the selfish Pats who didn’t let everyone get in on the action. Jones is as much a part of this win as everyone else.

  • ChoTime

No Wentz. No JP. No Hicks. No Sproles. These are not small losses!

    • Masked Man

      No Maragos. No Caleb Sturgis.

      • daveH

        No problemo

  • Flyin

Fly Eagles Fly by The Roots!

  • EJ

We were the best team all year and we deserved to win the Super Bowl!!! When is the parade!!!????

  • RC5000
    • sonofdman

What a fucking baby. Both of those calls were right. Fuck him.

    • xeynon

It’s gotta hurt knowing that the Eagles have two quarterbacks better than Dak.

    • jshort

      must be a conspiracy theorist.

    • Insomniac

      SKIEEEEEEEEP SKIEEEEEEEEEP

Shannon Sharpe going to unload. Can’t wait for the media to eat their crow.

    • daveH

The Pats did not get hosed. . Clear TDs both. .

    • Masked Man

Skip Bayless is not the best sport now is he..? Haha.

    • jaws80

i dont understand. what is wrong with his head that he cant get it through his head? they were not even controversial.

    • A_T_G

Holy hell, he just keeps going…

      • ColorSgt

I just stopped it after 5 minutes and saw that it’s over 20 minutes long! I’ve never seen another human talk so much and be so completely wrong in my life.

    • Ankerstjernen

What a doucebag. “The patriots just got hosed.” by the league office? Seriously. He is such a whiny embarrassment.

  • daveH

Same. . Watched and typed alot of games this season .. igglesblitz has been ther the entire way .. knew everyone was there, out there withis, out watching and cheering and holding on for dear life F IN PATS !!!
this one was for watching and typing later
    WAY TO GO BIRDS

  • ColoradoEaglesFan

Tommy, I owe you a case of PBR and a date with Megan Fox. I can only do one or the other. Your choice, only one I can provide. Choose wisely. I might have stolen that from Indy Jones.

    • Masked Man

Not speaking for Tommy. But I’m guessing he would say:

“Hey. I can get my own PBR! So help a guy out!”

      • ColoradoEaglesFan

Fak, you are so right! I could only maneuver a case of PBR.

  • Dragon_Eagle
    • xeynon

I am going to waste half the day at work tomorrow watching celebration videos from around the Delaware Valley on YouTube.

  • Someguy77
    • Flyin

Why would you post this tonight?

      • Someguy77

It’s hilarious and the Onion had this posted the minute the game ended.

        • Flyin

          For you maybe.

        • Flyin

          OK Massengill.

          • Someguy77

Calm down. The timing was perfect because it was posted right as Foles was coming up to the podium.

          • Flyin

If you’re focused on fake news, you need to refocus.

      • Masked Man

It’s a spoof article. No article at all. Just a picture of Doug handing Nick the Lombardi Trophy on the podium in Minny.

        Click bait.

  • ChoTime

What do these names have in common? Cox, Graham, Johnson, Ags, Wentz.

First round picks that have contributed. It’s really hard to win without hitting on those.

    • xeynon

      You forgot Derek Barnett. 🙂

You definitely have to hit on first round picks, but we also got huge contributions from low round picks and undrafted guys – we don’t win this SB without Clement, Vaitai, Burton, Allen, or Mills (just to name 5 guys who made critical contributions to our team’s success over the course of this postseason run).

  • Corry

I think I’m happiest for Brent Celek.

    • Dude

He had a huge block tonight. I forget the play, in my drunken haze, but I remember seeing him make the crucial block on a big run…something… I saw 87 make THE play

  • RC5000

It’s what we got Alshon for but that TD catch was a beautiful thing.

  • disqus_3WYBm0wj8p

BD Nicky 6 and BB Doug P, and all the rest of the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles players, staff and fans are GOD’S this night. PHILLY PHILLY!!!

  • Someguy77

Most yards in any NFL game EVER. Wow.

  • jshort

    anyone know FOLes QB rating?

  • Someguy77

What really stood out to me is how the Pats’ defense didn’t have a single difference maker and those early 00s teams including the 2004 team had several

    • xeynon

Yep. Give this Pats team a Seymour, Harrison, or Bruschi and this might be a different game.

This Patriots defense was atrocious. Just as sieve-like as the Eagles’, but against a lesser QB, and it couldn’t come up with a game-changing play the way the Eagles’ D did.

  • jaws80

41-33. confirmed. the eagles ring will have 4,133 diamonds in it.

    • Corry

505 diamonds for each one of Tom’s passing yards.

      • jaws80

yes, that is more in the spirit

  • Dragon_Eagle

Just back home after running downtown to partake. City is going apeshit, but as far as I could see, civilized apeshit. No damage. No destruction. Worst thing I witnessed was about a dozen “Fuck Tom Brady” chants.

City is ecstatic right now. Its beautiful.

    • Flyin

      Love It!!! Thanks!!!

    • Insomniac

Wait a second..what am I seeing on Twitter then?

  • Someguy77

Don’t know if this game was the best Super Bowl ever but it is easy Top 5.

Set all kinds of offensive records, was high tempo the entire time, and had a few dramatic plays including the very last play where the Eagles finally had 4 guys jump on Gronk to officially end it.

  • SteveH

    People are hilarious.

“Nick Foles got all 3 legs down on that touchdown catch”

“Gisele was right. Tom can’t both throw and catch a pass.”

  • SteveH

God I’m going to smack the next person who suggests we should trade Wentz and keep Foles. Seriously, just stop.

    • xeynon

That’s not going to happen, don’t worry.

      • SteveH

I’m not worried, I just want people to enjoy the moment without trying to ship off our franchise before we even get to the parade.

        • xeynon

I agree… I honestly find all the trade talk (including about trading Foles) a little silly at this point.

We should all just enjoy this.

          • Dude

You’re right. Only Eagles fans are having this conversation already. I’m guilty.

    • A_T_G

Suggesting we trade Wentz puts you in the same camp as Skip Bayless. No one wants to find themself in that camp.

  • Ark87

    Got this from reddit

Nick Foles was never sacked! His jersey was too clean… was the whole thing a Tide commercial?

I was too psychotic to pay attention to the commercials during the game, but I thought Tide sort of came out of nowhere to own the field

    • ChoTime

      Everybody loves Hopper!

  • mtn_green

    Eagles win. Pats never punted.

    • SteveH

That’s such a fucking unreal stat.

  • RC5000
  • Damon Robinson

I want the Eagles to beat them again and again and again.

  • GENETiC-FREAK

Think im done.drinlking for the nigjt. Time to.eat and sleeep! Been a good season fellas. This win wont.soak in until i wake up. Can you believe SB Champs!!! Night men. E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!

  • SteveH
  • James Adair

Brandon Graham, Nelson Agholor, Nick Foles, Busts? Not so much….

  • Masked Man

Doug said on NFL Network that the play where Burton passed to Foles for the TD is called “The Philly Special!”

    • A_T_G

During the timeout, I thought it was weird that the dismissed the play call for a total of 2 seconds. Afterwards it made sense.

      • Masked Man

        Foles might have said:

“Coach? Is THAT what you wanna call?”

That’s a bold call to make.

  • A_T_G

    Last!

    (New thread)

  • ChoTime

The guys at FO are becoming Dug fans, too:

“Trey Burton, college quarterback. Direct snap, handoff to Burton, pass to Foles, touchdown. On fourth-and-goal, with seconds left in the half. Doug Pederson, I think I love you.”
“Doug Pederson going for that fourth down is what it takes to beat New England.”
“Doug Pederson is one hell of a football coach.”
“I must admit I was lukewarm on the Doug Pederson hire after his offense played zero catch-up against the Pats a few playoffs ago. But wow has he done a great job this year. I think we’re going to enter into a segment of NFL history where coaching matters more than ever.”
    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/audibles/2018/audibles-line-super-bowl-lii

I find the last comment interesting. Notice how much difference Doug, McVay, and Zimmer seem to have made for their teams. Even Andy. I have noticed that coaches seem to matter more than they usually did lately.

  • ChoTime

So the Ertz catch that they reviewed for some reason. Should he have gone down at the 1 to let the team milk clock? Then they could have avoided the agonizing final drive?
