Gameday – PHI at MIA

Time to get back to winning.

The Eagles are the healthiest they have been in a while.

The OL is set. The WRs are back. The secondary is good to go. Now the team has to go out and play well.

Miami might be 2-9, but they do play hard. This team isn’t just going to lay down and let the Eagles walk all over them. The Eagles have to play well and match the effort.

This would be a good week to get off to a fast start. If you can get up 10-0 or 14-0, the Dolphins will start to think “Here we go again.” That said, they were down 28-0 last week and then cut the lead to 28-17. This team has a bunch of young guys. They lack talent, but not heart or energy.

Fletcher Cox should have a big game. The Eagles will try to get him 1-on-1 vs center Daniel Kilgore. As much as I hate to pick on an Appalachian State University alumnus, he’s way out of his league vs Cox. Fletcher should eat him up.

It will be interesting to see what happens if the Eagles have a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter. With Jordan Howard’s injury lingering, would the Eagles feed the ball to Jay Ajayi and Boston Scott to protect Miles Sanders?

The one thing you don’t want to see is turnovers. If the Eagles protect the ball, they will win. If they turn it over multiple times, the Dolphins have a chance. Don’t help them out.

Eagles fans are the best.

Let’s hope the team rewards them.
