Day 3

The Eagles have had a good draft so far.

1 – WR Nelson Agholor – USC
2 – CB Eric Rowe – Utah
3 – ILB Jordan Hicks – Texas

Today the Eagles have 4 picks.

4th Rd
6th Rd
6th Rd
7th Rd

That’s not ideal. Using both 5th rounders yesterday hurts. To me, there is a big cut-off from the 5th to the 6th round in most drafts. I expect 5th round picks to make the roster. 6th and 7th round picks I hope make the roster, but can live with them as practice squad players to develop.

The Eagles need OL help and a Safety. They’ll have a tough choice to make today. Do they grab OL T.J. Clemmings if he is still on the board? He has a stress fracture in his foot that is obviously scaring teams away. The 4th round might be a good spot for risk/reward.

The Eagles also think highly of Penn State DB Adrian Amos. While he’s not my cup of tea, Amos has great measurables and fits the Eagles scheme. He is solid value at this point so I could live with that pick.

My favorite OG in the draft is still on the board. I had Mark Glowinski pegged as probably a 5th round pick, but taking him in the mid-4th would be just fine with me. I think he’s an ideal fit for the Eagles. I was happy today to learn that the Eagles have shown interest in him.

There are still some interesting OL on the board. The Eagles went to Oklahoma to check out Williams, Shead and Thompson. None of those guys are good athletes. I struggle to see them in the Eagles offense. I don’t like the FSU star Jackson. I think his teammate Matias is actually the better player.

Jeff Stoutland coached Kouandjio at Bama so that is something to keep in mind. Gibson played LT for Virginia Tech. He is a terrific athlete, but needs a lot of work. I think he would be an excellent fit for the Eagles offense and he could be on the board in the 6th round.

OL TJ Clemmings
OG Mark Glowinski
OL Laurence Gibson
OG Darryl Williams
OG Adam Shead
OG Tyrus Thompson
OG Arie Kouandjio
OG Tre Jackson
OG Josue Matias
OG Jamil Douglas
OL Takoby Cofield
OL Terry Poole
OL Chaz Green
OL Sean Hickey
OL Darryl Baldwin
OL Max Garcia

Small school players of possible interest

OL Cole Manhart – 6-4, 298
OL Jacob Rodgers – 6-6, 315
OG Chad Hamilton – 6-2, 292
OL Mike Coccia – 6-3, 301
OL Ross Hall – 6-4, 294

The Eagles could go for the DB in the 4th and still have some interesting OL choices in the 6th. They obviously wouldn’t be ideal prospects, but there is logic to that strategy since there is more depth at OL than at Safety.

We also have QBs Bryce Petty and Brett Hundley still on the board. Does Chip Kelly like either guy?

Here are some possible Eagles draft targets.

Find a way to get Mark Glowinski and I’ll be a happy man.

Add Glowinski and Clemmings and I’ll be ecstatic.

There is no Safety that I covet. I think Ibraheim Campbell is the guy I like the most of the available players (that make sense for the Eagles).

  32. 32 Jernst said at 12:18 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

It’s so crazy to me that 2 weeks ago we were all debating the merits of taking Brett Hundley at 20th overall. I thought it was a good piece by D3FB, but boy am I glad we avoided that reach at this point. Who would have thought Grayson and Mannion would go WAY before either Petty or Hundley?

  33. 33 mksp said at 12:19 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

We were also debating taking Clemmings in the 1st Round.

That’s why the NFL is the NFL, and we’re fans.

  177. 177 Jernst said at 12:58 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Barbre is a question mark at RG, Mathis is potentially holding out, and with the oldest projected starting line in the league without adequate depth, it’s silly to expect that there won’t be any injuries. Even one injury could completely throw our offense off the rails. That’s not “set” at all. If everyone of our starters plays all 16 games, and Barbre turns out to be a decent starter for the first time in his career at 31 years old, then yea I guess we’re set. But, that’s a lot of big ifs.

  191. 191 GEAGLE said at 1:00 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

l trust me dude, big big difference between being a backup coming into a game, and being a backup who finds himself lining up next to a different player every week… You did NOT see the best they had to offer last year, especially since they are young, and still improving players.
    ..
Heck we act like we think we know guys like Kendricks and Cox, but those kids are still growing and improving, I’m sure we haven’t even seen their best yet…

  192. 192 Jernst said at 12:53 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Cohesion is super important on the oline. But, mostly with communication and setting the protections and making sure free rushers don’t get through. But, even when they executed all the basics correctly the majority of our backups simply got over matched and man handled by the lineman they were blocking. Molk was consistently driven backwards, as were Tobin, Kelly and Gardner. They certainly didn’t look to have the skills regardless of situation.

  193. 193 GEAGLE said at 12:49 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

They are much better then we saw last year, with the exception of Molk who isn’t an NFL player

  194. 194 oreofestar said at 12:49 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I mean I wish he just tool Clemmings in the 3rd but what lineman that’s left is worth a 3rs rounder

  195. 195 Corry said at 12:51 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I dunno. According to Schefter, Clemmings has a stress fracture in his foot that cannot be repaired with surgery so his career longevity is in question as his availability this year.

Knowing that now, i think I understand why they wouldn’t pick him.

  196. 196 Jernst said at 12:55 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

We know he had an old, already healed stress fracture. Schefter just said stress fractures in general can cause those things you listed above and can be hard to fix surgically. But, most stress fractures, particularly one’s that have already healed do not lead to full fractures and don’t require surgery at all.

  197. 197 GEAGLE said at 12:57 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Recent sports medicine, believes their is a direct correlation with weight and that injury… For example, The Sixers are dealing with a navicular stress fracture in Embiid’s foot and their research suggests, keeping him at 275lbs and not let him get to 300lbs is crucial for his future,.. Allegedly 300lbs is the Kiss of death with that injury

  198. 198 Jernst said at 1:01 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

This is absolutely true. And it’s not just a believe it’s just physics and a fact. The more weight the more stress on the bones in the lower extremities, the higher the incidence of that stress causing the bone to develop stress fractures. Foot issues in a 320 pound guy are definitely concerning. But, an old stress fracture that’s already healed and calcified is a lot less of an issue than an active crack that’s not healing and might worsen or develop an actual fracture. This one already resolved and healed without him experiencing any pain or issues from it. That’s a lot less concerning.

  199. 199 GEAGLE said at 1:04 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

The SIXERS did a big study, and they looked at the centers who had careers cut short, like Yao and Todd McCollough, and they concluded that the Bigmen who also had to fight weight issues, often had their career cut short by the injury, and that Bigs who kept their weight down, were able to have long careers for the most part at least

  200. 200 GEAGLE said at 1:05 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

And pain means nothing,. It’s not uncommon for a player to not even know. He has a stress fracture,… For example, Embiid NEVER felt pain, he had no idea he had a stress fracture in his foot, and we kept him out of action for over a year to give him a chance to heal… I wouldn’t touch.clemmings. And I think he was over rated on this site but whatever, not my problem

  201. 201 Jernst said at 2:13 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Pain doesn’t necessarily mean nothing. Pain can be a very reliable symptom of severity. Embiid never felt pain, and he’s going to be fine now that it’s healed. That’s significant. He caught it before it got worse and subsequently developed pain. He was able to sit for a year, let it heal and then take measures to prevent it from happening again.

No pain means that the stress fracture never progressed to something serious. The fact that it was calcified and an old healed stress fracture, indicates that it was able to resolve even with him playing football everyday. Those are all good signs. Overall, everything you’re saying is absolutely true.

Again, I’m agreeing with you, just trying to add some context to the discussion. I’m not just pulling things out of my arse either. I’m a doctor and for years was planning on going into orthopedics before switching tracks late in the process. I know what I’m talking about when I talk about stress fractures.

  202. 202 Jernst said at 2:08 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I’m agreeing with you by the way

  203. 203 Corry said at 12:57 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Schefter made it sound like it’s still an issue (or a new stress fracture).

  204. 204 Jernst said at 1:10 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

The report that came out from the medical exams around the combine are that it was incidentally found during some sort of radiographic imaging (not sure what types of scans or xrays they submit the players to in their exams). They said it was an old, already healed area of calcification that appears to be a resolved stress fracture. The issue is that it might be a one time thing that’s done and resolved or he could be prone to this happening. His foot bones can’t handle the stress of his weight plus the pounding of football and these will become chronic issues. It’s not currently an issue, but it has the potential to effect his ability to play long term, his longevity, his ability to handle the long season without developing these and IF these things develop and then IF they don’t heal and get worse they can progress to a full fracture of the bone, which is extremely difficult to fix surgically due to poor blood flow and healing in the foot. The treatment for stress fractures is just 1-6 weeks of rest, anti-inflammatory meds and then gradually ramping up your excercising. They’re caused when you rapidly increase the amount of stress on your bones. Your bones continually turn over, they break down and rebuild all day every day. Usually the break down and the rebuild are equal and the bone stays healthy. If you rapidly increase the amount of stress and hence break down of the bone, before your body can adapt to that level of stress the rebuilding lags behind and the bone weakens and small micro cracks appear (stress fracture). If you rest, they go away. If you increase your exercise slowly the body adapts and increases the rebuilding of the bone process to compensate and they don’t occur. So either he ramped up his exercising too fast at some point in the last few years, and then eventually the issue resolved and he’s fine now, or his body simply cannot rebuild the bones fast enough given his weight and the stress of playing football under that weight and these things will recur again and again and cause him issues throughout his career. The point is no one knows which it will be. But, the fact that it was an already healed lesion, no active disease, and caused him no problems or symptoms, is a good sign that it’s not a chronic issue.

  210. 210 Jernst said at 12:50 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I’m a big fan of trading a pick for another pick that’s a round higher the following year. There’s a big difference between 3rd and 4th round picks. I’m always surprised teams don’t take those deals more often.

At least we know Chip feels comfortable that he’ll be here for 2 more years. However, I’m legitimately scared of our oline depth. An injury or two anywhere on our offensive line could completely alter our offenses ability to operate as it should. Our fragile and relatively immobile QB really needs some attention spent on our Oline. I’m just so surprised that we haven’t addressed oline for two straight years.

Let’s hope Chip has something else up his sleeve to address the Oline otherwise this could really come back to bite us. At this point I’d trade Boykin straight up for a decent starter at OG.

  396. 396 Jernst said at 1:57 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

He was always option 1B if the price for Mariota was anywhere close to what it ended up being. I think Chip is being honest that he inquired. Gave it probably a harder push than he’s obviously letting on. No need to make Bradford and others feel like they’re unwanted. But, he knew all along that he was content with Bradford as the starter if the price for Mariota was too high, which it obviously was going to be. He knew he didn’t want to continue with Nick Foles and got the best upgrade he could. Nothing more the guy can do. We’re a better team with Bradford over Foles.

  409. 409 GEAGLE said at 2:01 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Some think Thurmond is more of a slot corner, and I have just as much confidence in Wolff and Watkins as I do in Carroll.

I just don’t think our strength in one of those positions is that much different from the other to where that’d be the deciding factor. You play him where you think he’ll be best, which appears to be CB.

I just hope they don’t keep him on the bench because of the contract they gave Thurmond. As of now, I don’t think that will happen. I’m sure I’ll flip flop on that several times… before dinner.

Love UDFAs heck I start looking for them in round 7… This message board is a poor representation of Eagles fans and media.. Tom is more responsible then 90% of local eagle media, and fans here are Prob in the upper 10percentile of educated eagle fans..

So while substance draft and finding value late is exciting for us, the rest of eagle nation probably doesn’t view it the way we do,,

  508. 508 Greg Richards said at 2:33 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

We have more roster spots to sign UDFAs this year than in the past couple of years too. There were 68 players on the team pre-draft IIRC so if we stay with only 6 draft picks then there’d be space for 16 UDFAs.

  509. 509 GEAGLE said at 2:34 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Yup, and we will have some more money to throw around

  510. 510 James Skip Carl said at 2:37 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I think we’re saving our money, so instead of paying a bunch of rookies were going to over pay for an UDFA named Collins

  511. 511 oreofestar said at 2:38 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Yeah if you want him gotta spend a pick on him

  512. 512 Greg Richards said at 2:39 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Each team has the same amount of money for bonuses to give to UDFAs no matter how many you sign. So that doesn’t really matter. Where teams can make it more attractive for UDFAs to sign is by guaranteeing a portion of their first year base salary. Most UDFAs don’t make the team anyway so this is almost like a signing bonus.

  513. 513 xmbk said at 2:29 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Exactly, September is when it starts to count. Until then…

  514. 514 oreofestar said at 2:29 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

  515. 515 GEAGLE said at 2:33 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I even like the hicks pick and I don’t assume we are losing Mykal .. I like an extra 3rd next year…. I have no problem with what we are doing in terms of team building, im talkimg about it having to be the worst draft in terms of watching the draft

  516. 516 oreofestar said at 2:36 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

No doubt, draft has been boring and it’s a messz they are so many ociks behind if they even announce them and then people complain if you spoil a pick from 10 minutes earlier.

  517. 517 mksp said at 2:32 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

For those curious, we traded #145 to MIA as part of the Rowe deal, and the following players were taken afterwards (to date):

    Stefon Diggs
    Brett Hundley
    Davis Tull
    Jay Ayaji
    Cedric Thompson
    David Parry
    Jarvis Harrison

  518. 518 xmbk said at 2:38 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

No one on the board would make me regret that move. No guarantees in life, but they got who they wanted. Of course someone drafted after Rowe will end up with a better career, but that doesn’t change that it was a good move.

  519. 519 mksp said at 2:41 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I agree. Just fodder for conversation while we wait for another 40 picks.

  520. 520 ACViking said at 2:42 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

    MKSP:

I wonder if the Eagles moved out of the 4th (after missing on someone selected earlier) and also traded both 5th Rd picks because their board was very, very lean in that area.

  521. 521 mksp said at 2:47 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

It’s a good question, and I don’t think anyone is arguing that we got bad value for any of the moves.

Based on some of the visits, I would tend to agree with you, it seems we’re targeting a lot of guys in the lower rounds, and didn’t want to overdraft them.

But this all assumes that Chip & Co. have an understanding of “value.”

Did they think Terry Poole and Glowinksi were going to be there in the 6th? Because if they did, they were horribly wrong, and SEA just ate their lunch taking those two guys.

It’s an interesting strategy if it works. Not very typical.

I am glad we replaced the Nick Foles pick we lost next year.

  522. 522 ACViking said at 2:49 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

But this all assumes that Chip & Co. have an understanding of “value.”
    ___________

    Exactly.

When does the answer start to become clear?

  523. 523 mksp said at 2:53 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I think the value of their picks have been good. Haven’t reached this year. So that’s one part of the answer.

Let’s see who we pick up in the 6th / 7th / UDFA Round. If those guys end up playing meaningful roles for PHI down the line, then it could be that Chip just happens to be good at this GM thing.

  524. 524 ACViking said at 2:54 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

No way he chats up Barkley the way he did unless he liked him a lot.

  531. 531 GEAGLE said at 2:36 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

People are down on hicks because he wasn’t a popular name, if we would have drafted Paul Dawson instead of him fans would be thrilled, when in reality Hicks runs circles around fat ass Dawson with His name brand and no substance

  532. 532 ACViking said at 2:38 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

    Not down on him.

Just Kelly’s quote reminded me of what he said about Barkley.

Bottom line — Kelly’s right that the draft is close to a crapshoot.

  533. 533 GEAGLE said at 2:39 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

  537. 537 Bob Brewer said at 2:54 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

If a QB can’t throw the 15 yard out, they can’t play in the league. Barkley can’t do that and how the Eagles graded him in the top 50 is beyond me.

  538. 538 ACViking said at 3:15 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Belichick (when doubling as D3FB) has argued that Barkley’s shoulder never returned to 100%.

    (I believe he’s written that)

  539. 539 Bob Brewer said at 2:37 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Exactly why I don’t mind them trading up. They can’t evaluate good players in lower rounds, so use those picks to get a better pick in the higher rounds.

  540. 540 GEAGLE said at 2:38 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Anyone left in the draft who came to NC?

  542. 542 Joe Minx said at 2:40 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Yup. A good amount I think. Most of their visits were late-round projections.

  543. 543 xmbk said at 2:40 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I really wonder what the plan is at LB.

  545. 545 GEAGLE said at 2:42 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Let competition sort it out….. Remember chip values ST even more then most. He targeted special team aces in free agency last year, I wouldn’t put it past him to spend a 3rd on a LB he views as a ST stud for like the first 3 years of his career,,..

Love what we are doing.. Stack the talent at positions and let competition sort it out….

  546. 546 xmbk said at 2:43 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Depth and competition. Helps ST play there as well. Pretty sure minimizing the effect of injuries is a goal across the board.

  547. 547 Jernst said at 2:56 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I think the coaches are smart enough to know that you can’t 100% count on a 31 year old Ryans to return to form less than a year removed from his second achilles repair (even if it’s on the other leg…hell maybe it’s worse that his one good leg is now f’d up too).

I don’t think DeMeco is pencilled in as a starter. Bringing him back at a reduced price is a classy move by Chip for our defensive leader. But, at the end of the day he’s not here expected to start and be at full strength from day one. The best you can reasonably expect is that he offers leadership, depth and a stabilizing force for the new LBs we’re bringing in and expecting to learn a new system. Worst case scenario he just doesn’t recover enough to be functional anymore and he gets cut either this summer or next off season. At best, he’s a low risk insurance policy with high leadership intangibles for a team that lost a lot of stars and leaders this offseason.

Kiko is also recovering. He tore his ACL in preseason so he should be good to go by the time the season rolls around. But, again there’s no guarantee he returns to form or doesn’t have a set back at some point. Right now he’s pencilled in as one of the starters and expected to be a difference maker like he was as a rookie. Knowing that it’s not a foregone conclusion though, we have Meco around as insurance, hoping that between these two rehabbers, one will be able to start.

I think Kendricks stays this year and is certain to start if he does. This will be one last year to see how he progresses as a LB in this system. If he continues to be inconsistent, unable to make calls on the field and/or gets hurt again he walks next year. If he turns that corner and becomes a stud, he might be a top priority free agent for us to resign or depending on how the other players recover/develop is allowed to leave. Otherwise, he’s too valuable to next years defense that has two other injured players recovering to give up for anything less than a 2nd round pick.

Hicks is here because DeMeco will most certainly be gone in 2 years, might be gone a lot sooner and Kendricks is 50/50 to be here next year.

Reasonable expectations of the coaching staff is that DeMeco plays leadership roll and can play in obvious running situations and add needed depth, but probably ends up being phased out and gone by next year, Kiko returns to form and is a starter for years to come, the starter next to him in the future is either Kendricks if he becomes an all pro with Hicks behind him as the top LB backup. Or if Hicks comes on strong and Kendricks is up and down, the future is Hicks and Kiko with DeMeco being phased out.

    That’s my best guess

  548. 548 mksp said at 3:01 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Kendricks / Alonso / Ryans will likely be in a rotation.

Kendricks will walk for big money after the season, and maybe we’re more quiet in FA, so we get meaningful comp picks for him, Curry and Boykin. Take a page from Ozzie’s book.

  549. 549 Jernst said at 3:07 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I’m a lot more confident after this past week that Curry might be in the long term plans. A guy that can generate that type of pressure and deliver 8-10 sacks as a rotation guy is extremely valuable. And, despite the awkward scheme fit, I think the coaching staff realizes how much value he adds to the defense.

I think we’ll make a strong push to resign him and, ultimately, it will come down to whether or not Curry wants to go play for a 4-3 team or if he’s happy getting a decent sized contract to play for his favorite team as a key rotational pass rusher that plays 40% of the snaps.

His situation might turn out like Grahams where everyone was convinced he was gone and the market wasn’t significantly better for him to move to another team.

Picks i could see in the 6th round.

Dres Anderson – You can almost lock this in – Chip was all over him at his Pro Day and is perfect Redshirt guy with big upside.
Kenny Bell – Great Value at this point.
Tre McBride – Surely wont be there at 191? Crazy he has dropped this far

Max Valles – Developmental pass rusher i like

Ben Koyack – good blocking TE who has enough athleticism to be a pass catcher.

Derron Smith – Don’t love him but has to be value at some point.

Andy Gallik and BJ Finney – both are centre’s who can play guard, would be good swing guys for depth.

  554. 554 Greg Richards said at 2:41 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

  560. 560 Jernst said at 2:41 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I don’t think enough people realized just how weak this draft class actually was overall. Besides the lack of any really intriguing players at the top of the draft, outside of the top 2 QBs who were, in all actuality, pretty mediocre prospects compared to other draft class’ top QBs, the first round only had about 15-17 true first round picks, everything else after that was a wash until about pick 45. After that it’s just been a bunch of bleh. Not a lot of intriguing players in the middle rounds that would get me excited and the few that were supposed to be good values in those late 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds have almost all taken nose dives down the board and lasted until the 5th round. Really boring uninspiring draft overall.

  561. 561 Alistair Middlemiss said at 2:44 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I don’t totally disagree – i like a lot of the 2nd round guys and i think that group of players will match up with other draft classes. Think 3-4th rounds had a bigger drop off than normal but there is a lot of value late round. This is not the 2013 draft.

  562. 562 Greg Richards said at 2:42 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

  566. 566 GEAGLE said at 2:46 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

You know how we know we are improving as a franchise? Conpetition at training camp should be drastically tougher at most spots then it has been any year since chip arrived… It should be tougher to make this eagle team then any of chips past teams and that’s a great sign of growth towards building this program… Fair open competition pushes the cream to the top and increases Player growth. Should be a very competitive training camp

  567. 567 Jernst said at 3:14 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

This is very true. Except at Offensive Line. Everything after the top 4 is wide open. WR won’t have Maehl’s, Will Murphy’s or Brad Smith’s making this team next year. No way we’re arguing about Kenjon Barner and Matthew Tucker at RB. Lots of competition at CB now and a good amount more at Safety with Watkins, Wolff and maybe Rowe. Things are looking good.

I just hope we find a diamond in the rough along the Oline. Lucking into another Mathis is literally our best hope at this point.

Eagles actually used on of their 30 allotted pre-draft visits on him so that shows he’s not your typical LS. Still, a weird pick.

  605. 605 McNabbulousness said at 3:10 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

wow you’d have to have some transcendent david robinson-eque skill at the LS position to be drafted from navy and have to wait 2 years to play

  606. 606 ACViking said at 3:11 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Secretary of Defense has the authority (it’s been reported) to alter Cardona’s service commitment and let him go directly into the Reserves.

  607. 607 Greg Richards said at 3:11 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

So, 3 out of last 4 picks have been P, LS, FB. Good for us.

Woke up from my nap…. what craaaaaaazy moves did we make while I was out.

  611. 611 Joe Minx said at 3:17 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Nothing. But the Pats took a long snapper in the 5th. Imagine if we’d done that.

  612. 612 Alistair Middlemiss said at 3:18 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Pats selected a LS who will serve 2 years in the Navy in the 5th round…

Chip Kelly did an interview on NFL Network. Don’t have much else.

  614. 614 SteveH said at 3:39 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Did he say coachy organizational stuff like we stuck to our board and we think we got great value or was it more interesting.

  615. 615 FairOaks said at 4:00 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

It was a bit funnier, but basically. They think Hicks is a 3-down linebacker. And it’s been safe to buy Bradford jerseys since we traded for him.

  616. 616 scratcherk said at 3:19 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

I think we basically HAVE to take Lael Collins at this point right?

  617. 617 ACViking said at 3:22 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

maybe a team with a 7th rd comp pick.

whatever info’s coming out of the Baton Rouge P.D. is not good.

Not saying it’s bad. Just not good.

  621. 621 Joe Minx said at 3:26 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

The 6th round is in sight gentlemen.

  622. 622 ACViking said at 3:28 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Maybe Kelly can trade one of the 6th’s for a 5th in 2016.

Then next year, trade that 5th for a 4th in 2017.

So by 2020, he’ll have an extra 1st

  630. 630 GEAGLE said at 3:29 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

to me jordan Hicks is No Reach if you are comfortable with his medical. The only players that went after him in round 3 who graded higher for me were Daniele Hunter and Carl Davis…

  631. 631 Patrick said at 3:30 PM on May 2nd, 2015:

Did Derron Smith kill somebody too? Seems like a player who just keeps falling and we know nothing. Probably has either an injury or a character concern.

    Tre McBride too.
