The game is almost upon us.

Nervous? I sure am. Can’t wait for this game to kickoff.

Tempo could be a big factor today. Dallas really stresses effort by there defensive players when pursuing the ball. Sustained drives could wear them down.

We need Fletcher Cox to make his presence known. Be disruptive, big fella.

    I worry that Billy takes the Blame, even tho Chip has a big say in what the defense is running., if Billy had full freedoms to run whatever he wants on defense, we would be a 4-3Under team, instead we basically play the Oregon defense.. chip was able to hire Billy to run his Oregon defense because of his experience in the steelers 3-4…big corner, multi front defense, two gap 3-4, former corners for safeties, these are all chips defensive requirmemts

    Absolutely,,, at No Point will anyone leap frog Curry as the #3… Vinny is the starting DT next to Cox when we go to our 4 Man Nickel lines… Which is why Atlanta came out in a heavy set, 2 TE, FB, making it look like they were going to run, but started firing off short passes, basically they are starting to respect Currys pass rush and finding ways to pass against us while our nickel pass rush was off the field… Something I expect dAllas to try and copy today, lining up in 2TE showing run, but passing so they can have Cedrck on the field instead of Curry getting after them

    Starting to? Honestly, the only reason he is still on the team is because we have poor depth at OLB and he was a 1st round pick. The saying is that you have to wait three years before you judge a draft pick, but that far to often gets translated into “Ignore anything negative that you see.” Unfortunately, that just isn’t reality. Marcus Smith was healthy all of last season and managed to do literally nothing. He has had one semi noticeable drive in preseason and that’s the highlight of his career. Now he is a semi-healthy scratch. That really should tell you all you need to know about him.

    I was wondering if we were confident enough to go with him over Vamdervelde now, or if Josh was a case of liking his growth but needing to bring him along more as the season went on before he could be the back up center… Of course this could also mean that Vandervelde isn’t in shape as we would like.

    With Molk out for the season, I hope Josh keeps growing enough to where he will be the #2 C all season long, even after Vandervelde has a few weeks go get comfortable… I have no idea what his level of play is compared to what we were getting out of Molk, but I do like The size and strength boost we get from having Andrews instead of Molk. We lose athleticism by replacing MOlk with Andrews, but I thought Molk sacrifices way too much size and strength in order to be so athletic.. What good is a centers athleticism if he isn’t strong enough to hold the point of attack,, I care more that our center is strong enough not to get tossed into Bradford’s Lap by the NT, more then I care about the center being athletic enough to block down field
