2nd Half – PHI 16, MIA 13

This game was headed to blowout city. The Eagles led 16-3 and drove down into scoring territory. Bradford took a sack and the drive stalled. Caleb Sturgis missed the FG. Miami than put together a long drive to score. Then they got great field position after a blocked punt. That led to another score and the game is now 16-13.

Ugh.

The Eagles have been a 2nd half team all year, but that 2nd Qtr was some seriously ugly football. And it could have been worse if the Dolphins weren’t such a mess themselves.

The Eagles are winning and I’m as frustrated as if they were losing.

Good news is that the Eagles get the ball to open the 2nd half. Go get some points and let’s take care of this thing.

Beautiful pass to Austin who’s the only veteran WR in the league that can’t drag his feet, beautiful throw to Ertz that’s called back because Cooper can’t get lined up fast enough, and really the INT while a poor decision given the situation was a completely catchable ball if Austinmade any effort whatsoever.

    Bradford I thought played well though in spite of the constant pressure. He led them to 14 points on their first two drives and should have added a FG to that as well. Then the line gave up, Kelce forgot how to snap and he got destroyed by Suh.

This is much worse. I’d take last years team and just change out Cary, Fletcher and Allen for our current secondary any day of the weak. This offense is PAINFUL to watch.

But I’ve never seen a team so consistently beat itself. Plays were there all day. We dropped the ball MULTIPLE TIMES, we didn’t look for the ball MULTIPLE TIMES, we caught the ball 3 yards inside the end line and couldn’t drag our feet, we scored a TD but Cooper doesn’t line up right, we throw a 1st down red zone INT with a sure fire lead sitting in our laps, we missed a 31 yard FG, we had one of our punts blocked, our center threw the ball ten yards over the QBs head, our starting QB got injured, our best RB got injured, our best WR got injured, we batted a pass up into the air and our DB was too busy looking in the stands and let the WR catch it for a TD. This was by far the most pathetic showing I’ve ever seen.

I could of handled trading Files for Bradford but we gave a second round pick in this draft. 2014 draft class was terrible the possible highlights Matthews and Huff drop as many passes as they catch, no one else worth talking about including Smith. 2015 class was even worse, the only highlight Hicks is hurt again which was why he slid, injury prone. So with the talent evaluators we have it don’t matter.

    Heard on the radio in the car this is the 3rd game the Eagles have had a lead going into the 4th quarter this year/had a lead and lost. Not a good or a bad team. Just a mediocre one that has a lot of flaws which show up in the inconsistency on both sides of the ball.

Brilliance is not putting a horrible offensive line together with Sam Bradford as your starter and losing a 2nd rounder. These are HORRIBLE decisions. He is not good and does not belong in the NFL.

    Bradford x-rays were negative but he did reportedly have a concussion.

    Bradford/Sanchez is Peete/Detmer. Two marginal starting QBs who aren’t simply aren’t good enough to be even Top 20 QBs.

    Felt that way all season and today didn’t change my opinion at all. If anything, Kelly has probably gotten the most he can out of either one.
